Einfach nur empfehlenswert! Leckere Pizza in allen Größen und Varianten. Auch der Salat und das Tiramisu sehr zu empfehlen. Und das schon seit 1982 - aber es wird schon seinen Grund haben, dass sich die Pizzeria Americana schon so lange hält ❤️

⭐ Enttäuschender Besuch Ich hatte mich auf ein gutes Essen gefreut, wurde aber bitter enttäuscht. Das Essen war total versalzen, sodass man den eigentlichen Geschmack gar nicht mehr wahrnehmen konnte. Was den Besuch aber endgültig ruiniert hat, war das Verhalten der kleinen Kassiererin. Sie war total unhöflich und arrogant. Gutes Essen und freundlicher Service sehen anders aus.

Samstags ist bei uns Pizza-Tag und wir holen am liebsten eine Familienpizza bei Pizza Americana. Bestellen online und holen ab. Am Anfang waren wir echt immer sehr zufrieden. Die Pizzen waren immer pünktlich fertig, sehr gut belegt, käsig und groß. Die letzten Male waren wir allerdings enttäuscht. Die Pizzen waren schlecht belegt. Wir hatten mit extra Pilzen und Mais bestellt und die Zutaten musste man suchen, so wenig war drauf. Auch an Käse wurde gespart. Es kam leider auch schon öfter vor, dass Zutaten ganz vergessen wurden. Das finden wir sehr schade, denn das Personal ist immer lieb und wir wissen, dass es auch anders und besser sein kann. Kommt da echt auf das Team am Abend an. Ich hoffe, dass sich das schnell wieder ändert, weil sonst ist es uns dann doch den Preis nicht wert.

DIe Pizzeria Americana war lange Zeit eine echte Institution und unser Lieblingspizzaservice. Dann irgendwie für länger aus den Augen verloren und vor ein paar Wochen mal wieder probiert - war nicht mehr das Gleiche. Schade.

Für mich die beste Pizza zum Mitnehmen in Nürnberg. Ich empfehle die kleine Größe. Ist ausreichend und knuspriger als die Normale. 🍕😋👍

Sehr leckere Pizza. Die Preise sind moderat ubd entsprechen dem heutigen Durchschnitt bzw. bewegen sich etwas darunter. Auch Sonderwünsche werden berücksichtigt und wie gewünscht umgesetzt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Abholzeiten werden eingehalten.

Ich hab schon sehr oft bei pizza Americana bestellt und eigentlich war es immer gut… aber heute war es nicht lecker Teig war sehr trocken und am Käse wurde extrem gespart.

Früher war die Pizza hier wirklich die beste. Vor ein paar Jahren hatte die Qualität allerdings schon deutlich nachgelassen. Gestern habe ich auf dem Weg – weil ich endlich mal wieder in der Nähe war – erneut eine Pizza geholt. Leider kein Vergleich zu früher. Der Teig war nicht mehr fluffig, sondern sehr knusprig und teilweise angebrannt. Der Belag war sparsam, vor allem der Käse. Die einzige Konstante war die Soße, die geschmacklich gefühlt noch wie früher war. Besonders ernüchternd: Mein kleiner Sohn meinte nach dem ersten Biss, die Pizza schmecke wie die, die man als fertigen Teig mit Soße im Supermarkt kauft – das sagt eigentlich alles. Preislich ist das Ganze ebenfalls enttäuschend, da man für das Geld inzwischen sogar in einem Restaurant günstiger essen kann.

Wir lieben Pizza Americana und essen fast wöchentlich dort. Leider variiert die Qualität in letzter Zeit stark. Die Pizzen sind meistens nicht richtig gar und sehr weich. Wir vermuten, dass das zum Teil auch am neuen Mitarbeiter liegt, der die Pizzen zu früh aus dem Ofen holt. Oft ist unsere Bestellung bereits fertig, obwohl wir für 15 Minuten später bestellt haben. Im Vergleich zum familiären Personal fehlt da irgendwie die Hingabe. Es ist also oft ein Rätsel in welcher Zeitspanne man bestellt, um eine warme aber auch durchgebackene Pizza zu erhalten. Zudem hoffen wir mittlerweile auf den richtigen Pizzabäcker, um nicht enttäuscht zu werden. Eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit in die Richtung zur Verbesserung würde das ganze bestimmt sehr schnell wieder optimieren. Wenn alles stimmt lieben wir die Pizza und sind schon fast süchtig danach!

Haben am 30.11.2025 um 20.20 ein familienpizza mit 4 Käse bestellt und selber abgeholt, als wir zuhause ankamen und essen wollten war das pizza sooo verbrannt das es steinhard und noch verbrannt geschmeckt. Möchte mein Geld zurück. Habe Fotos...

Ich liebe die Pizza Americana und esse meine Pizza seit Jahren nur von hier. Eine Sache hat sich jedoch verändert: Es wird inzwischen so viel Zwiebel auf die Pizza gegeben, dass sie praktisch nur noch aus Zwiebeln und ein paar Champignons besteht. Obwohl ich bei jeder Bestellung angebe, dass ich sehr wenig Zwiebeln möchte, wird dies nie berücksichtigt. Das ist wirklich schade. Heute wurde sogar besonders viel Zwiebel daraufgegeben, obwohl die Mitarbeiterin notiert hatte, dass ich wenig Zwiebel möchte. Ich bin schwanger und muss die ganzen Zwiebeln herauspicken, damit mir nicht übel wird.

I ate pizza at Pizza Americana 30 years ago. Since the GIs left, it's unfortunately gone downhill. I'm rarely in the area anymore, so after years, I tried their pizza again last year and a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the dough was dry and tasted more like Dr. Oetker frozen pizza dough. The toppings were also very sparse, and the little bit of cheese that was on it was overcooked. If you want an American pizza, this is definitely the wrong place. I was surprised it was so busy, especially since there's another pizza stand next door that can't be any worse. It's a shame, but the saying "everything was better in the old days" definitely applies here.

I've been going to Pizzeria Americana in Nuremberg for almost 20 years, and honestly, it's still one of my favorite places when it comes to really good pizza. Over all these years, I've tried countless varieties, but my absolute favorite remains the Pizza Mexicana. This combination of slightly spicy sauce, fresh ingredients, and the perfect, crispy base is just right for me. I order it again and again – and every time it tastes just as good as the first time. Orders are prepared quickly, the staff are friendly and helpful, and I've never had a problem – no wrong toppings, no delays, no stress. That's rare these days, and that truly deserves praise. The quality of the ingredients is also consistently good. The dough is always fresh, the cheese has a nice texture, and the sauce doesn't taste industrial – but rather as if someone is making pizza with real passion. Even the small pizza is more than enough to fill you up – which is by no means a given at other pizzerias. The only thing I sometimes wish for is a few seats on site. It would be nice to be able to eat the pizza fresh from the oven instead of always taking it with you. But that's really just a minor wish and not a real criticism. For me, Pizzeria Americana represents consistency in a time when things are changing so quickly. For two decades, I've gotten exactly what I want there: really good pizza, friendly service, and the good feeling that quality can prevail without any frills. I can recommend it without reservation – anyone who loves pizza will be happy here.

What can I say? Pizzeria Americana has been an institution in Nuremberg for decades. The ultimate drive-by pizzeria. It's convenient to stop quickly and grab a hot, less-than-Italian pizza. The pizza is okay, but the value is excellent!

Opening hours are now impossible. Closed all day on Mondays. What happened to the pizzeria of yesteryear?

We ordered two pizzas. The 20-minute wait was perfectly acceptable. But things that urgently need improvement: - The tomato sauce was unseasoned - The cheese looked and tasted like it had been slapped on - The crust was incredibly dry Basically, it seems to me as if they're skimping on everything except the friendliness of the service.

Very disappointing! I was assured the meat was pure beef, but it was obviously a mix of pork and beef. The meat had an off-flavor, smelled unpleasant, and was extremely dry. On top of that, the staff were unfriendly and showed no interest in listening or taking the problem seriously. Absolutely not recommended!

I think it's a bit cheeky to charge €10 for a large pizza that isn't actually that big. But it tastes good, and the service is much, much better than the competition next door.

We ordered several different family pizzas for pickup. Without exception, all of them were delicious and well-topped. The selection is also very good. The price is definitely worth it, in my opinion.

I was always satisfied. Now I can't order by phone anymore. It's a shame; it's a reason for me to stop buying pizza here. I want to interact with people—on the phone and when paying!

The pizza is great. Crispy and well-topped. The large pizza could be a bit bigger, but it's okay. What I simply miss is a place to sit nearby. I like to eat my pizza fresh, not drive around with it. That's simply not possible there. And it's not much fun in the car with kids. There could be a few more trash cans (there is one, but I couldn't find any more). Ultimately, we'd still be happy to come back. The pizza is simply excellent.

Once a cult classic, now a mere shadow of its former self. For a long time, this was THE pizza in Nuremberg: thick, fluffy, fresh, hearty, and simply made with love. But today? Unfortunately, there's nothing left of it. The pizza is now thin, with hardly any toppings, 80% just cheese slapped on top. Inside? Closed. Coffee machine? No longer available. Stamp card? Abolished. Opening hours? Fewer and fewer days, fewer and fewer hours, now closing at 9 p.m. And unfortunately, you can also feel that in the atmosphere. The friendliness has completely disappeared. For years, you've had the feeling that the owners aren't really interested anymore. I don't understand why they don't pass the place on to the next generation or simply close it with dignity. Instead, they continue with prices that simply no longer match the quality. A piece of Americana has died for me. And yes, it's sad to witness such a slow, loveless demise.

The food was always delicious, but the service has deteriorated considerably. Last time I wanted to get a pizza, but the staff was very unfriendly, so I changed my mind and got something to eat elsewhere. I think that's a shame; please work on improving customer service.

No more special offer pizzas, and some prices have risen dramatically. When we politely addressed this, the employee became rude and simply hung up. They don't offer pasta or delivery either. It was a shame to treat us like this after 15 years of loyalty, and we're now going elsewhere.

I've been a customer for several years. I have to order pizzas that have lost their flavor. Service, including online ordering, continues to work well.

A few months later, I ordered a mushroom pizza. The crust was terrible, even worse than the Indian restaurant next door. The mushrooms were from a can and very cheap. This pizzeria isn't what it used to be and should be avoided! What a shame! Absolutely unfriendly, the crust was just about okay, but the tiramisu was almost disgusting because it was very old.

Jeder versucht nun auch klammheimlich sich vorteilsgewährend, wie die großen Einkaufskonzerne den Gewinn zu optimieren oder nur schludrig den Kunden abzufertigen. Hat nichts mit Fachkräftemangel zu tun. Nur Desinteresse am täglichen Tun. Hier war es diesmal der halb-rohe Teig der American-Pizzen und minder bis mangelhafte Zeigzutaten, was anderes Schreiberlinge auch vor mir lange schon bemängelten. Und bei meiner Uhrzeit-Bestellung war kein Stress - wegen zu viel los. - Merkt man anscheinend erst, wenn der frühere gute Geschmack schon zwei Jahrzehnte zurückliegt. Als Vergleich. Vom Preis Mal abgesehen, der gehoben ist, im Vergleich zur erbrachten Leistung. Warum machen viele das beruflich, wozu Sie im Grunde genommen keine Lust zur Leistung haben. Da könnte ich noch viele andere vormals gute Esstempel, hier aus jedem kulinarischen EU-Land, in der Süd-Gegend aufführen, wo jeder seit Jahren die Kundschaft verprellt, und immer eine neue Stellschraube findet, um den eigenen Lebens-Standard gleichbleibend zu halten. Immer öfter unredlich und zunehmend impertinent. Schließe da keine Gastronomie mittlerweile um Langwasser- Messe aus.

And there was no stress when I ordered the time - because it was too busy. - Apparently you only notice it when the previous good taste was already two decades ago. As a comparison. Apart from the price, which is high compared to the service provided. Why do many people do what they do professionally that they basically no longer feel like doing? I could list many other previously good dining establishments, here from every culinary EU country, in the southern area, where everyone has been alienating customers for years and always finds a new way to adjust their own standard of living. More and more dishonest and increasingly impertinent. I don't rule out any gastronomy around the Langwasser trade fair.

I just picked up three pizzas and started eating, and there was just a short man's hair in the Hawaiian pizza... it disgusted me so much that I couldn't continue eating, I think the pizza baker should wear a hair net! You can't even reach anyone by phone due to alleged understaffing, something like that shouldn't happen for the price!

March 2025: Pizza Americana at Hiroshimaplatz has really declined significantly, I can no longer recommend Pizza Calabrese, Vegetariana and Spinach. The others are still working, but what I picked up on a Saturday evening and then ate really disappointed me. Otherwise I always had the impression that far too much tomato sauce was always used because the tomato sauce was very dominant, this time nothing like that. The dough wasn't crispy, and there was definitely a lack of salt in the dough. There was spinach on the pizza, but if you had done a blind tasting you probably wouldn't have realized it was spinach. Pizza Calabrese is similarly bland and simply no longer tasty. I have no idea what's going on with the store. You can pay with bank card. The parking situation is actually only a little more tense on weekends between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., but there are always (free) parking spaces in the immediate vicinity.

This pizzeria used to be good! It's sad that the store is being driven into the wall like that! Above all, the opening times are an imposition!

The Pizzeria Americana takes its name from the former American barracks at this location - not because it serves typical Italian pizza. Nevertheless, the pizzas are always freshly topped and made from high-quality ingredients. Depending on the time of day, there may be longer waiting times, so it's best to be patient. The employees do their best to handle everything quickly. There are enough parking spaces and they are free. Online orders are preferred due to staff shortages, but you can also order by phone or directly on site - but you have to expect a little waiting time. Many regular customers speak for the quality of the pizzeria. Conclusion: If you like fresh pizza and are not fixated on typical Italian recipes, you will definitely find what you are looking for here! P.S. The prices must of course be adjusted. That's logical when everything else is becoming more expensive.

We ordered just before the store closed and everything was prepared quickly. The pizza has a thick base, lots of cheese, fills you up quickly - it's more of an American style, so you should be prepared for that. We think it's delicious, there's also a good selection of well-known and more atypical varieties. Highly recommended especially zucchini/aubergine + gorgonzola.

I ordered a family margarita pizza and a large hamburger pizza. Neither really tasted good at all. Bad spices there is a lack of spices in particular. Tomato sauce like it came out of a jar and the toppings were just disgusting.

Yesterday I got 1 tortellini in ham cream sauce and 3 pizzas. Tortellini was then gratinated and when asked they said that they had only been making it gratinated for a long time. Should also be communicated, because we actually didn't want any over-baked ones. Pizza paesana, calabrese and brockkoli was good. Pizza meat once again has another strange taste. They probably use a different cheese or something that no longer makes the pizza good and massively changes the taste. Not good. Too bad.

The tastiest pizza in Nuremberg! The slogan of Pizzeria Americana. This is of course ambitious. I actually liked the family offering pizzas. The cheese was tasty and crispy, the tomato sauce was juicy and the pizza wasn't overpowering. Unfortunately these no longer exist. Tried a large Americana pizza. Unfortunately it was overloaded with the ingredients specified, so the dough wasn't cooked through. He was sloppy. With every bite I just had every ingredient in my mouth and couldn't really taste anything. Tomato sauce very little. Sure, everything will be more expensive. If quality suffers, you lose customers. Therefore, Pizzeria Americana is no longer an option for me. I'm now switching to ladida because their pizza tastes really good and is of high quality. I'd be happy to spend 1-2€ more.

Best pizza American style; Ordering online saves waiting time

Seit ein paar Wochen wirklich stark nachgelassen! Erst im September eine Pizza mit hähnchen bestellt, das hat geschmeckt, wie die fertigen gewürzten hähnchenstreifen von kaufland. Letzte Woche eine Pizza online bestellt und abgeholt, dann eine komplett andere Pizza bekommen(mit Kapern und Oliven) welche es nichtmal auf der Karte gibt, als wäre es resteverwertung gewesen. Diese war echt scheußlich. Echt enttäuschend, das war das letzte mal. War jahrelang meine Lieblingspizzaria, aber nun ist vorbei. Niemanden mehr zu empfehlen.

It's really slowed down a lot in the last few weeks! Just ordered a pizza with chicken in September, it tasted like the ready-made seasoned chicken strips from Kaufland. Ordered a pizza online last week and picked it up, then received a completely different pizza (with capers and olives) which wasn't even on the menu, as if it had been used up leftovers. This one was really horrible. Really disappointing, that was the last time.

The pizzas are A1 and that's actually the most important thing here. Prices reasonable. One point deducted because sales employees sometimes seem stressed and annoyed. It's difficult to judge the ambience at a pick-up station/stand-up snack bar - that's right - they say here.

I have loved going to Pizza Americana for over 30 years! But that ends today! I ordered three pizzas for our children, my wife and I at 5:55 p.m. and generously selected the pick-up time online at 6:20 p.m. It was supposed to be a meat pizza with extra ingredients, a Quattro Formaggi pizza and a small salami pizza. I got there at 6:20 p.m. and saw that there was a lot going on. The digital display with the pickup numbers was broken. There was a crowd of people standing in front of the pizzeria, people who had ordered online or there were being served in a wild mix, it didn't matter. Unfortunately I had already paid, so I thought I would just wait a few minutes. The few minutes turned into 45 minutes, people who ordered their pizzas on site well after me, or who had a higher number than me online, all had their pizza before me. When I asked, the colleague at the counter became rude, but after several times he took pity on me and asked me for my number. Two pizzas from my order had apparently been sitting around for 20 minutes, the third was forgotten, so I had to wait another 10 minutes for the third to go in the oven. At 7:05 p.m. my pizza finally came out of the oven. In the meantime I said I wanted my money back and didn't want to wait any longer - nothing. The children were waiting at home, I was cold, I just wanted to go home, so I took the pizzas and also the free tiramisu that I didn't feel like eating anyway. When I get home I open the pizza box and instead of my meat pizza I only have salami and ham as toppings!!! I can be kidding myself! THANKS FOR NOTHING, PIZZA AMERICANA! NEVER AGAIN! PLEASE PLACE YOUR ONLINE ORDER NEXT TIME WHEN YOU ARE FULL. Real impudence. Too bad. A Nuremberg legend died for me.

Super delicious pizza and there is a small pizza that is really small and perfect for a meal with children or when you are slightly hungry. Large selection. You just shouldn't expect a restaurant, it's just a stand-up snack bar.

Very good pizza, prepared quickly with what I think are high quality ingredients. Always tastes very good and there is a large selection. Not cheap but still worth the money. Clear recommendation.

Unfriendly staff. They don't manage to place the order correctly and are then very bold. Pizza was wrong and so was drinking. Mistakes can happen but then at least you expect kindness!!!

Pre-ordered pizza online for 5:15 p.m., asked at 5:30 p.m. because the number wasn't called, the order was lost and was only baked afterwards. I don't have a problem waiting when it's busy, but local orders that were just placed were ready quicker. My personal favorite pizza ever since 1996. But it's a matter of taste. I can only recommend it.
