Pizzeria am Kiesweiher in Freising

We were at the reopening of a sports restaurant. There's soccer, shooting, and apparently billiards. The restaurant is a Greek restaurant. Overall, one can say that after everything was buffet style, it tasted good. All-a-car would have been something completely different. The location is great, right on the edge of the pitch, but of course not central to Freising or Vötting. Anything that might prevent it from receiving a 5-star rating could be initial difficulties. We'll go back to see what normal operations look like.

Very nice and friendly. We discovered it through the special buffet offer and tried everything, but unfortunately, the food wasn't particularly impressive. The cold dishes were definitely a better choice than the hot ones. Of course, the location isn't particularly conducive or appealing. No other Greek restaurant has come close to Irodion, so you're simply spoiled.

We were there again today for the umpteenth time. I had the gyro plate and my wife had a chicken steak with vegetables and fries. It was delicious, as always. If you don't come for a meal there, you're missing out! We always enjoy driving all the way from Erding.

Stopped by on a bike tour and had a very good meal on the beautiful terrace. The highlight, however, was the excellent tiramisu, super tasty and friendly service.

The many trophies create a sporty atmosphere, the food is outstanding, the dog and tenant are very friendly, I will definitely come back!!

The dishes are fresh, prepared with a lot of love and taste to the point. We were particularly impressed by the authentic Greek specialties! Perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or family. We drove from Erding to Freising specifically to test the new Greek in the sports restaurant at Kiesweiher in Vötting. It was delicious. The furnishings have not changed from the previous owner. But the Greek food is really recommended. The boss Michail and his wife are very friendly. In any case, we will definitely come back again.

We actually wanted to go to Pizzeria Centrale, but apparently there's been a new Greek guy there for almost a month. So I ordered the roast lamb with vegetables and potatoes and found myself in front of a few individual pieces of meat, including cartilage and skeleton, along with over-salted industrial vegetables and half a potato, covered with sauce in which the fat eyes were swimming. Here you no longer cook yourself, but heat up convenience industrial products and charge €24 for them. Unfortunately, the presentation seemed as if they didn't want to throw away leftover meat, but it was definitely something to nibble on. In terms of taste, the experience was just as you would expect from pre-processed industrial products - it is edible. After weeks of operation, the Italian's pictures still hang on the wall. The new menu does not contain any unique selling points that would represent the chef's finesse and creativity and invite you to enjoy the Greek cuisine. Where is the chef's personal touch, where is his specialty that keeps me coming back? Instead, pork schnitzel with fries, gyros, spaghetti "alio" (it means aglio) e olio, ... Just a typical German, wildly thrown together standard menu without any pretensions. Maybe. Will there be a weekly menu in the future, or a house specialty? But we also arrived there with completely different expectations. Maybe. The new concept is exactly what the general German restaurant-goer prefers without much culinary pretension. Athens is only around 3 hours by plane and 200€ from Freising. Ambiance and culture are included for free and you can eat lamb there, for example. Enjoy it as a leg or a braised dish - overall a better price-performance ratio. In this respect, the new Greek also had a positive effect, as we decided to visit his home country again next weekend and spend our money there.

Italians gone, Greeks, what's left? The prices are too high 😕 Gyros with fries for 18€ is unfortunately sporty, on average 16€ elsewhere and not at the A in the world.

Absolute rip off! Food was OK. The waitress had to do the math on his cell phone because he didn't know how to use the German calculation system, which was an absolute disgrace, my friend had tomato mozzarella as a starter and it was just as expensive as his pizza, restaurant would not be recommended.

Echte Pizzaprofis aus Kalabrien und Sizilien. Selten so guten Pizzaboden gehabt! Großes Lob an Ignazio, der sich immer fröhlich und zuvorkommend um die Gäste kümmert. Ein echter Geheimtip in Freising. Sehr empfehlenswert: Burger "Hamburger Centrale" und Pizza Siciliana!

Wir waren schon einige Male hier und wurden immer gut und freundlich bedient. Das Essen ist einfach und von guter Qualität. Bestimmt kommen wir irgendwann mal wieder vorbei. Im Sommer ist es vermutlich auch ganz schön, dann kann man auch draußen sitzen.

Jedesmal sehr leckeres Essen. Das komplette Team ist stehts super nett und zuvorkommend. Kegelbahn ist etwas älter aber was egal ist, sie erfüllt voll und ganz ihren Zweck.
