Pizza Tonio Uhlenhorst in Hamburg

I ordered a pizza with arugula and tomatoes. When I got it, there were at most four small cherry tomatoes and almost no arugula at all. Another person at the table had also ordered a pizza with arugula and received about three times the amount. When I asked for more, I reluctantly received more, and in the end, I was charged €3 extra. I find that outrageous given the prices, and the taste and size of the pizza were also very limited. I've rarely gone home in such a bad mood after eating. I wouldn't recommend it.

Simply fantastic! Pizzeria Tonino is a true highlight in Uhlenhorst. The pizza tastes like it's Italian – a thin, crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and perfectly cooked. The homemade tomato sauce and mozzarella are especially delicious. The service is warm, attentive, and always cheerful, making you feel immediately welcome. The ambiance is also very cozy – ideal for a relaxing evening for two or with friends. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back!

I go there several times a week and I highly recommend it. The food and service are excellent, and the atmosphere is very family-friendly.

We sat outside, which was really lovely. However, I was quite shocked when I saw the prices. The ambiance is nice, but it's a bit "dirty"; the tablecloths have stains, etc. I don't understand how these prices fit in. The pizzas were small, sparsely topped, and the bill was high. It's a shame, but it's not worth coming back for us...

Today we had homemade pasta in Gorgonzola sauce and spaghetti carbonara made according to the original recipe. Both dishes were sensationally delicious. We'd love to return!

An original pizzeria. The pizzas are fantastic, the waiters are super attentive, and the Italian music adds a great atmosphere. I'll be back when I'm back in Hamburg!

Incredibly cheap for such an expensive pizza!!! I picked up a pizza for a friend. It cost €18.90. When I saw the box, I thought, that can't be it. But it was. The crust was super thin, the toppings were very thin, you had to search for the main ingredient, there was hardly any cheese on it, and a good 4 cm of the crust around the edge were completely empty. And the biggest insult was, the website said "Grande," which doesn't exactly mean small. My friend was very disappointed, especially because she's had much better pizzas there. But this was definitely the LAST pizza I'll have in that place. A quick note: in a small place like Uhlenhorst, word gets around very quickly if you're well connected.

Sitting outside is wonderfully comfortable and you can enjoy delicious food. The service is attentive.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was super and a lovely end to our evening. The carbonara i had was delicious and they weren't tight on the guanciale! The chocolate lava cake was also amazing.

For us it was a really good pizza for the value, I could really tell the ingredients on the pizza were actually good quality, and the dough was right how I like it, somewhat thin and Crispy and not so bready, will definetly be coming back :D

Little insider tip in Hamburg! The pizza was super tasty and even small extra requests were taken into account. We also spontaneously got a table outside. The service was nice and courteous. Only the table could be a little bigger.

Big city prices but very tasty and friendly host

We came spontaneously, and it was also our first time here. What can I say? It was fantastic! One of the best aglio e olio I've ever had! My boyfriend had the tagliatelle with truffles, and he was also completely thrilled! The bread was also great, as were the drinks! The service and hospitality were also top-notch! There's nothing to complain about, and we were very pleasantly surprised! See you next time!

Everything is right here! The restaurant is very cozy and tastefully lit inside and out. We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home! Our bruschetta and burrata pizzas were delicious, especially the pizza base was perfect!

You really have the best pizza in all of Hamburg here. It really is a taste experience. There is a really good selection and pasta fans don't miss out either. And it's super comfortable to sit here and I always feel very comfortable. Especially because the owner is so kind and extremely hospitable. I would actually like to give it more than 5 stars if I could.

I'm in Hamburg on a business trip and was looking for something delicious to eat and I found Pizza Tonio, where the carbonara is the way it should be WITHOUT cream and real bacon. I ate that on the first day, simply delicious, and on the second day I ordered Bolognese, which was also delicious made with celery. The staff was super nice and friendly from the word go. I will definitely come back and it is a clear recommendation to dine here.

Everything is right here. Anyone who comes into the restaurant is greeted warmly. The menu is just right and special requests are almost always possible. And then there is a brilliant meal with good wines to match! Keep it up.

The food is OK. I arrived at 8:15 p.m. and even though I ordered the dish without meat, I was still charged the full price. While I was eating the lights were turned off, “we want to call it a day”. That was at 8:40 p.m., Google Maps says the store is open until 10 p.m. Overall, unfortunately, a very bad 20-minute visit to a restaurant and a few tagliatelle with broccoli for €20.00.

You can feel the Italian charm at the Tonio restaurant in Uhlenhorst. A really authentic sweet little Italian that has a cozy atmosphere. We ate the homemade pasta and a Capricciosa pizza - both dishes are highly recommended. There was also home-baked bread. The service was also very warm, so we'll be happy to come back :)

There were four of us there. Eaten very well on the terrace on the street. The owner gave us a very friendly welcome and gave us good advice. responded to special requests I had an excellent carpaccio as a starter. We continued with an excellent pizza with salmon, spinach and fresh cream. The tiramisu was homemade and really great. The recommended white wine was delicious and chilled just right. An all-round nice evening with good food, excellent service... only the seating could be a little more comfortable. Nevertheless, we would like to come back.

Partner had ordered spaghetti Bolognese: it makes you think of a simple minced beef sauce...puff cake! Excellent sauce, small pieces of carrots plus peppers, everything harmonious!

The pizza is ok, but it is not an original Italian pizza. Expensive.

Cute shop, the pizza was pretty unspectacular and a bit simple. Unfortunately the carbonara was very watery and the egg was set. Tiramisu was okay. The service was nice but unmotivated. We wouldn't go there again, especially for the price.

A warm welcome and delicious dishes of pesto pasta and fig and nut ravioli without forgetting the tiramisu 🤩 and to finish the free limoncello Our only regret is that we are leaving tomorrow and will not be able to come back 😊

First of all: Why can you only give 5 stars here? Pizza Tonio is fantastic and deserves 6 stars and more! The food is so delicious that you'll want to order another portion straight away. The wine recommendation was first class, you can order a wine blindly here. Because one thing is certain: the wine served tastes good! The fact that we got a table there for the Germany-Denmark game seemed completely normal for the service: we were briefly "parked" and got a good seat for three. The fact that Tonio treats you like an old acquaintance or good friend leaves a permanent smile on your face. We stayed at Tonio's until the end without a reservation, we didn't want to leave! You'll be looking forward to the next time when you leave... PS: Anyone who complains about Pizza Tonio doesn't know what's good 🤭

We were there just before closing time and they turned on the pizza oven especially for us so that we could take two pizzas with us. Super accommodating, lovely team! Very tasty vegetarian pizza, vegan pizza was also possible without cheese (vegan cheese would still be a dream :))
