Pizza service Red Jerry in Detmold

I ordered a pizza yesterday for 6:35 PM, and it arrived at 6:55 PM. Naturally, it wasn't hot anymore, but lukewarm to almost cold. The delivery driver didn't even have enough change, so I was given €30 back in small change.

There isn't much space to eat there, but the pizzas are really great and reasonably priced. I highly recommend it to everyone.

We went to this pizzeria as a group. The food was poor and the service very unfriendly. The pizza base was hard and the toppings were inadequate. We pointed this out and were treated very rudely. They were not open to criticism.

Red Jerry is very accommodating and accommodating to customers. When ordering online, I must have slipped up in the order line and ordered two incorrect pizzas. I only realized this clumsy mistake after picking them up, or rather, at home. I briefly explained the situation to Red Jerry, and without much discussion, the two pizzas were exchanged for the ones I had originally ordered. That's what I call first-class customer service. The pizzas were delicious, as always. Keep up the good work.

Pizza, pasta, and more. Taste great! They have exceptional pizzas that you can't find anywhere else, I think it's great! The staff are friendly and do their best; they deliver your order no matter the weather.

Disappointing – Unfriendly Service and Order Error We were truly disappointed with our visit. First, our order was taken incorrectly – a pizza was completely missing. When we pointed this out, they showed no understanding at all. Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, they made us feel like it was our fault. As if that weren't enough, the pizza wasn't even sliced, even though we wanted to eat there. In the end, everything was simply packed up without question, and the employee became quite rude. No consideration, no apology – instead, a rude tone, almost as if they were going to throw us out. It's a shame, that's not how you treat guests. We definitely won't be back. If you're unhappy with your job, go and find another job!!!!!

We ordered two pizzas, picked them up, and when we got home, we saw that the quality was absolutely terrible. The dough was hard, had collapsed, burned on the sides, and the toppings were burnt. Simply dry and inedible. When we called, all they said was to bring the pizza back and that they wanted to check if we'd eaten it yet. The fact that we live 8 kilometers away didn't matter. It's a shame, otherwise the quality has always been good...

Good delivery time. However, the Madras pasta was so peppery that it was inedible, and the pizza, which you paid for extra sucuk on, was delivered without any. 2 stars is a lot for this, but it could actually be worse. I hope the next customers get better food and that more emphasis is placed on the food itself rather than the time. Because if the time and price are right but the food is inedible, it's unfortunately worthless.

I don't normally write reviews. And we actually quite enjoy the food at Red Jerry's, but once again something was forgotten in the delivery! I think it's a shame that this keeps happening. We pay more for the food these days - you would expect the delivery to arrive in full. When you ask the driver where the missing salad is, for example, they fob you off and don't even check again. You're supposed to assume that everything is there, and in the end you're disappointed, but they don't deliver anything else. The chicken wings were burnt this time, and the time before that the country potatoes were still partly raw. Very annoying, as this restaurant has always been a favorite of ours.

The food doesn't taste as good as it used to. We've been ordering here regularly for 15 years. They regularly forget something when ordering. I think this is the last time, unfortunately.

The salad we ordered online was delicious, but please use fresh tomatoes in the future. These today were soft and limp and tasted absolutely not good. Otherwise, everything was very tasty. Soft and limp and completely inedible. We fished them out; they were simply inedible. Otherwise, the salads were very tasty. I have the feeling that the owner either doesn't read the reviews or doesn't care, otherwise something would change in that regard." That's not a high-level nitpicking; it's an objective and honest review. We'll remain loyal to Red Jerry anyway, because everything else is always delicious.

The pizzas are delicious and generously topped. The staff seems very motivated and very friendly. Unfortunately, there's no branch in Steinhagen 😅 otherwise, this would be my new favorite pizza delivery service.

No thanks. I ordered a jumbo Margherita with garlic on Sunday. It arrived without garlic, and instead of a jumbo, I got a regular one, 26 cm instead of 33 cm. Hardly any cheese, but a flavorless tomato sauce that never ends. Despite two emails, no response from the club. Never again.

The pizzas made here are always delicious! I definitely recommend it. Unfortunately, there are only a few seats inside and a few tables with benches outside. Most people order takeout, or they also offer delivery service.

Pizzas with great toppings & great pasta dishes

A slight delay, but still manageable. The problem was more with the food itself. I had the ciabatta. As a trained baker, it was painful for me to see what's being sold as ciabatta here. It tasted absolutely nothing, as if it had been frozen and then just thawed. The topping was anything but tasty, the sauce was disgusting, and the chicken was overcooked. Not recommended; anyone can make it better at home.

The staff are friendly, and delivery times are reasonable. I also like the phone delivery service. The food gets a 4/5. It's delicious, and the value for money is absolutely spot on, but there's still room for improvement.

Now, making a pizza isn't difficult, but making a good pizza is. But how do I get the 5 stars? First, the food/pizza I had. A BBQ chicken pizza. (Ordered for takeout). On the way, my colleague and I could always smell the hot, spicy pizza. It looked really good. Everything was well-topped and the quantity was decent. The chicken pieces were cooked through and juicy. They could be a bit smaller, as you had to open your jaw wide when biting into them. The fresh mushrooms gave a nice umami boost, and the BBQ sauce wasn't too sweet. Good topping. Now, the dough. The topic where every pizza has its foundation. The base was really good. Spicy, light and moist, and the crust had a very good firmness (springs back to its original shape when smashed). You get such quality from a dough that's fermented with yeast for a long time. What criticism can I have about the pizza? Very little. Oh; It wasn't cut all the way through, and the chicken pieces were too big. Yeah, that's it. I had a really good dining experience. The shop itself was very small, but you can't really change that. It's better to order and take it with you. But it's very clean and tidy. A big plus! All in all: I highly recommend it.

The food was ordered with a dip. This was forgotten. When asked, they said the dip would be delivered. When they commented that the food would be cold, they responded, "The food could have been cold anyway." The service was different. That was the last time.

Die Pizzen sind richtig gut (amerikanische Art). Der Teig ist dick und fluffig, die Zutaten frisch und die Pizzen insgesamt sehr gut belegt. Tipp: die Cheeseburger-Pizza. Klingt komisch, aber ist der Hammer.

Food used to be better. And with the burger pizza I had enough pickled onions and cucumbers that was enough for 4 pizzas. Man had to put you down to eat the pizza. The delivery was much faster than announced.

Today there are only 2 stars, the salad we got consisted partly of stalks and large pieces of lettuce and not fresh tomatoes and was not edible... will probably order somewhere else now... What a shame

Best pizzeria in Detmold and the surrounding area. It's my favorite pizzeria and I can only recommend it. Unfortunately, I'm not the only one who thinks like that and sometimes there's really something going on. This means that delivery times are extremely high. But I have to pick them up myself every time, because unfortunately after I moved to Bad Meinberg, Red Jerry doesn't deliver there. Many others from Detmold do this. But probably because they unfortunately already have so many orders just from Detmold. How about a second branch? Closer to Bad Meinberg so that deliveries can be made in that direction? I can only recommend Pizza Delhi, it is my top favorite. Closely followed by Thai chicken, but for me without chilies.

Delivered 30 minutes late. Almost 2.5 hours after ordering. It was almost cold. .The wrong pasta was also delivered. Tagliatelle instead of penne with a totally watery sauce. And the cream sauce on the tortellini was totally gritty and had a maximum of 6-7 tiny pieces of ham. Inedible. Flushed down the toilet with delivery and a tip of 30 euros. Never again.

I always order extra bacon. I never get it, but sometimes I get extra salad instead. A bit questionable, but otherwise always tasty and maybe it will work at some point. Edits: 8/10/23: There was actually extra bacon today! +1 star 10/12/23: Today instead of no onions there were double onions for some reason. It's strange, I think -1 star is fine for that. 09/12/24: But I just don't learn from my mistakes. You could blame me, but I ordered Dutch Snails and got Spinach Snails delivered. SAD! MAKE RED JERRY GREAT AGAIN! You owe me €0.40 Today we are ordering again. Pizza Peppers. Hopefully I don't get a burrito delivered🙏🙏🙏🙏 10/31/24: Today the salad was forgotten again. But there was dressing to quench your thirst. So we'll stick with 2 out of 5 stars! But I'm still waiting for my €0.40 11/20/24: There are now only 5 in the Snails instead of 6. Order from the company almost every day from Red Jerry... lately the waiting times have been getting longer and longer (the longest was over 1.5 hours). If you call, you also get a rude answer... that's not possible!!!

Unfortunately only one star. Pizza Margherita was requested with BBQ sauce. However, so much sauce was put on the pizza that it was inedible even with a knife and fork. It fell apart and was partially stuck to the soggy cardboard base. Exchanges are not possible because the pizzas have to be picked up again in the box as they were. Unfortunately, I had put them on a plate because I thought I could still save something. In the end, the mess was just something for the trash.

I like it very much and even the once rather high prices are now more average (competition has just increased). Delivery is always very quick, but I don't live far. I love the great selection of specialty pizzas. There are a few highlights here even without meat.

Solid pizza! I imagined the peppers pizza to be a little spicier, it was more like a slightly spicy salami pizza. I chose the single, the smallest size. It definitely fills you up thanks to all the cheese, but unfortunately the topping doesn't stay on the pizza when you hold it by hand, but it still tasted good. If you want to be full and like a lot of cheese, this is the right place for you

We have been ordering from Red Jerry's for years. It was always okay. Until today. Something was missing from all three pizzas. Some have “extra requests” that you can select on the website. But sometimes there are also ingredients that belong on the pizza and are not insignificant in terms of price (Grana Padano). In addition, this time the pizza arrived half raw, so sauce came out of all three boxes through the holes on the side. We have been ordering the same pizzas over and over again for many years. During the phone call we were told that we probably hadn't placed the order correctly and that if we wanted the pizza "more cooked" (e.g. not raw), we would have to also note this in the order. Over €40 for pizzas that are soggy, half missing and poor customer service. Never again.

My husband bought the pizza with salami, ham, minced meat and barbecue sauce from red Jerry. He didn't finish it all the way through so I ate two more pieces of it, on the one hand it was super tasty, but both he and I had gastrointestinal problems afterwards and it wasn't completely baked on the edge. Therefore a clear star deduction! There were some bacteria in there and that shouldn't happen.

I honestly have to complain. I think it's a shame I called and just wanted to order 2 pizzas, the lady on the phone wasn't friendly and said 1 hour. We called after 1 1/2 hours and asked, she said it would take at least 30 minutes. So sorry 2 hours for 2 pizzas is really no service. We also live 5 minutes by car from Red Jerry and there is also the unfriendly lady on the phone. Then I love ordering somewhere else! We're really upset and won't recommend it.

I actually always order from Red-Jerry. But today was the last time I ordered anything there. I was at Red-Jerry's this afternoon at 4 p.m. and placed an order for 7 p.m. and they just couldn't manage to deliver the order on time - it was almost 30 minutes late than agreed. With 3 hours notice it should be doable. The employee I spoke to was so rude to customers, I don't have to put up with something like that.

Ordered the lunch special for 6 people online early yesterday morning. Alleged delivery time: 40 minutes. After more than an hour I asked on the phone and the answer was "uh yes, he should leave straight away". The delivery arrived another 35 minutes later - long after the lunch break, after a total of around two hours. As a small thank you, a salad was missing! Definitely the last time I ordered there!
