PIZZA MONDO in Heidelberg

We were on vacation with our family today looking for something tasty for dinner and decided on this pizzeria. The welcome at the counter was friendly, and our order was taken well, so far so good. However, the menu stated a 10 percent discount, which we didn't receive in full despite asking. Instead, we were only given a one-euro discount. If such a discount is advertised, it should actually be granted, or the information removed, otherwise it doesn't seem very trustworthy. Unfortunately, it seemed to us as if they had recognized us as tourists and therefore didn't give us the full discount. Of course, this is just a guess, but disappointing nonetheless. Unfortunately, the pizzas didn't taste great. The vegetarian version in particular was extremely oily and we mostly left uneaten. A real shame, because we were looking forward to a good meal. Overall, we were hungry, open to new things, and wanted to enjoy the evening. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a rather disappointing experience.

I ordered through Lieferando. You can eat there, but you don't have to; I definitely wouldn't do it again. The pizza is okay, but far too expensive for the quality, and it feels like you have to pay extra for everything. The salad is a disaster. The chicken salad is simply chicken nuggets and lettuce with a bit of peppers and a few olives. The sauce just tasted like yogurt. And the salad wasn't exactly the freshest. The opening hours were a good thing, which is why we ordered from there the first time. I wouldn't recommend the salad at all; I'd rather get a pizza or something else.

Previous reviews already paint a picture of a pizzeria where many customers are dissatisfied with the food and service. Unfortunately, I didn't read them beforehand and ordered a pizza there. Conclusion: I personally didn't like the pizza. I particularly didn't like the dough and the way it was baked. I subsequently left a corresponding review on Lieferando. Of course, taste is subjective, and others may like it – but not me. In comparison, I find the pizzas at "Capri," for example, much better, especially in terms of the dough and preparation. What happened next: Today I received an unexpected and unfortunately very rude call from the owner of the pizzeria "Mondo." He confronted me directly and asked why I didn't like his pizza, after all, other people like it too. Although I tried to politely explain that it was simply my personal opinion, the conversation was less than pleasant. My conclusion: The pizza and the service didn't convince me. Personally, I won't be ordering from there again and unfortunately can't recommend the store. Instead, I would recommend the "Capri" as a good alternative.

My wife and I had a very bad experience at this snack bar. We were treated very poorly, and they tried to rip us off with the price. They wanted to charge us the 19% tax without giving us the bill. They insulted us in their own language and threw us out of the shop by closing the door in our faces. I recommend not visiting the shop.

Family with 2 children - we ordered a Bolognese pizza (32/45 cm) to take away. The price displayed on the menu in the location was EUR 18.50, but the person who served us asked us for EUR 20, stating that the menu is not the current one. Now, I notice that the "current" price does not even appear on the pizzeria's website. Also, I did not receive a receipt for the money paid. The pizza was of average quality.

After a long wait, the order from Lieferando was simply canceled for no reason. Now I have to wait again for the next restaurant.

Ordered 2 pizzas, both completely burnt. Sorry, that's my money that ended up in the trash. Complaining doesn't help because the gentleman then gets mushy and didn't deliver a replacement last time anyway

Delicious. The dough is made fresh every day and so are the salads.... on the whole the delivery is simply delicious

I had an extremely bad experience with this restaurant and can only warn against visiting! Delivery instructions were completely ignored and when I contacted the owner about a bad pizza he was unable to address my complaint without being abusive. The hygiene, particularly regarding the pizza, left a lot to be desired - it was disgusting. I can only advise you to give this store a wide berth. If you get the chance, take a look into the kitchen where your "tasty" pizza comes from - it's a pretty daunting sight. 🍕🤮

Unfortunately, the quality has decreased significantly and the price has increased significantly! Unfortunately we won't be getting anything more here! For a small pizza plus pasta they charged 17.80 euros. I think that's way too expensive! Especially because the quality is no longer good! A pity! Now we have to find a new pizza delivery service!

Wenn man Pizza im Sinne von 🇮🇹 mag ist es leider nix. Wenn man warme günstige Zutaten auf Teigboden mit Crunchy-Rand mag.... Bingo

TOP!!! Guter Geschmack bezüglich der Zutaten, viel Soße und Käse auf der Pizza. Die Lieferung ist meist schneller als angegeben und war bis jetzt immer warm oder heiß. Sehr freundlicher Lieferdienst und Inhaber. 5 Sterne

Essen war nicht sehr gut. Dressing ungewürzt und Tomatensalat sollte anders aussehen. Calamari waren auch nicht sehr schmackhaft und Pizzen auch zu ungewürzt. Absolut kein Beitrag. Ich kann diese Pizzeria nicht empfehlen.

Ich bin erstaunt. Ich hatte tatsächlich keine bessere Pizza gegessen. Sie war echt lecker. Wir haben jetzt mehrere Party pizzen bestellt und die waren alle noch heiß als sie ankamen und waren sehr lecker. Die Lieferung war auch okay. Für Samstag Abend kam sie gut an zeitlich. Dankeschön

Ich finde den Besitzer freundlich, Sonderwünsche klappen immer wird Heiß und schnell geliefert. Wenn es länger dauert wird uns das vorher mitgeteilt macht auch nichts jeder. Kann die schlechten Bewertungen zu Belag und Teig nicht nachvollziehen. Haben viele wenn nicht alle Pizza Lieferanten durch - mit diesem waren wir immer zufrieden.

Not only the best Pizza in Ziegelhausen, but also in all of Heidelberg in my opinion. We live here since July and have ordered every week so far. The delivery is always fast and friendly, and the Pizza and the topping are VERY delicious, and have been every time. The only thing missing is a loyality card, because we order so often. Definitely recommend.

Pizza war lecker, Preise sind fair. Kann nichts negatives berichten, obwohl ich sehr wählerisch bin.

Leider kann die Pizza nicht überzeugen. Boden erschien mir wie ein Convenience-Produkt. Schade. Bitte mehr Mühe in den Teig bzw. den Boden investieren und/oder bessere Produkte in diesem Bereich verwenden!

Was told it would take 20min, magically turned into 1hr... Dough tasted like crackers and pasta had very little flavor. Rude owner as well...

War ganz ok, allerdings der Belag etwas zu dünn und der Boden zu amerikanisch! Der Salat war gut und die Lieferzeit relativ kurz, allerdings bei der Entfernung (innerhalb des Ortes)zu erwarten.

Haben eine Pizza zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Der Teig sah typisch Pfannen Pizza aus aber schmeckte auch irgendwie eher nach Cracker Teig. Der Belag war ok, aber alles in allem nicht, wie ich mir eine Pizza vorstelle.

Teig schmeckte und sah aus wie vorgefertigt, sehr wenig Sauce..

The staff is accomodating and we loved their latte machiatto which is very creamy and soft. Also thier croissants (butter, nuttella and etc) are our favorite.
