Kaiserschmarrn was very delicious

After 20 years as a seasonal camper at Prahljust campsite, this was my first visit to the restaurant. The Cordon Bleu was delicious and highly recommended. It was freshly pounded and fried, and the side salad was fresh and tasty.

The old lady is openly racist and disrespectful—not only to the employees, but also to the guests. We wanted to give one of the employees a tip because we saw how badly the owner treated him, but she simply snatched it away and claimed it was for her. Another Nazi family operating here. I hope her employees sue her at some point.

The food is tasty and plentiful. The building is a bit dated.

Everything was fine. We'll be back.

Unmotivated service, no friendly faces. There's a surcharge if you want to share dessert. Poor value for money. We didn't feel like guests here, but rather like intruders. Nothing has been done to it or inside for decades, and the place seems to be being squeezed to the last minute.

Delicious food, especially the schnitzel and fried potatoes, served with a fresh salad. Friendly service and cozy rooms with a typical Harz Mountains atmosphere. The Kaiserschmarren (shredded pancake) is also particularly good. The Pixhaier Mühle also has a few outdoor seats, perfect after a hike. Open Friday to Sunday, on public holidays, or for private parties. Fair prices and friendly service! 😊

The restaurant is cozy and quiet during my visit on a Saturday afternoon, with seating both inside and outside. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive. For dinner, I opted for a Cordon Bleu with a salad. The portion was generous and filling. There were a few other items on the menu that would have appealed to me as well. So I wouldn't rule out a return visit. In keeping with the season, there was also a special menu with asparagus dishes. With a large drink and a coffee afterward, the price came to just over €30, which I consider reasonable.

First of all: great food. We spontaneously went there with our dog because we were looking for an alternative, and we found one! The dog wasn't a problem at all, quite the opposite. We actually had a lot of reservations, but we found a solution. The food was freshly prepared; we could hear the schnitzel being pounded. The sauerfleisch and fried potatoes were super delicious. The coffee was delicious. Extremely nice and friendly staff. If we're ever in the area again, we'll be back. Thank you and continued success.

Rustic restaurant that is getting a bit old, but the service from the boss makes up for it. Food is very tasty and homemade. Schnitzel is fresh from the pan and not molded meat. We'll definitely come again.

It's a shame everything is getting old. Succession? The landlady was nice and competent. Open from Friday to Sunday from 12 p.m. Lots of insiders. Hotel with attached.

Very tasty trout with almonds. Fresh poppy seed cake for dessert. Also very good. Dog was allowed into the restaurant. Not possible everywhere in the Harz.

Cozy furnishings, delicious cakes, friendly service.

If you like the old, home-style cuisine, you can eat well here. The typical schnitzel and co. You can definitely eat well here. We were not guests in the hotel. Were only there for dinner. All I can say about the atmosphere is that I suspect that the older people who run everything there don't have any successors. That's probably why no more investment will be made. Completely sufficient for a quick, spontaneous dinner. Price performance is also completely okay.

So I thought it was great and for me one of the best schschnitzel I've eaten in a long time. Children and dogs are welcome. I have already experienced places where we were virtually not even allowed to enter the yard. Thank you very much for this hospitality.

Der Kuchen war lecker und ein Kännche Kaffee nach der Wanderung tat gut.

Etwas rustikal aber sehr angenehm. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommen für mein Geschmack echt süß. Essen war nun nicht das Sterne Essen aber vollkommen OK über den Preis lässt sich streiten ( etwas treuer).

Sehr gut geführtes Restaurant mit Cafè und Hotelbetrieb mitten im Weltkulturerbe.

Hier gab's für uns heute einen Kaffee und Apfelstrudel. Das Haus selbst ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber dennoch war alles gut.

Wenn Du in Buntenbock etwas Essen möchtest, findest Du hier ab 12.00 Uhr im Regelfall eine gute Möglichkeit. Direkt am Harzer Hexenstieg sowie den Wanderwegen rund um die Buntenböcker Teiche gelegen, bietet es sich hier an, in dem etwas verschlafen wirkenden Hotel etwas zu trinken und zu Essen. Die Küche zaubert mit guter Qualität geschmacklich leckere Gerichte. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr ruhig und wirkt etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber es ist entspannt. Eine familiäre Atmosphäre für einen angenehmen, unaufgeregten Zwischenstop.

Waldhotel Pixhaier-Mühle, wortwörtlich eine Oase um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Für jeden zu empfehlen.

Wir waren gestern wieder einmal zum Mittagessen dort und durchweg begeistert. Angefangen von der freundlichen Kellnerin, die Herzlichkeit der Familie Schubert bis hin zum sehr leckeren Mittagessen samt dem obligatorischen Kaiserschmarren als Nachspeise (zum Mittag gab es Tafelspitz und Forelle). Die Pixhaier Mühle ist für alle die kein Chichi brauchen, aber immer eine Top Qualität der Speisen suchen und das zu sehr fairen Preisen die erste Adresse im Oberharz-wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch

Wenn man die Buntenbocker Teiche umrundet, so kommt man auch an der Pixhaier Mühle vorbei. hier gibt es genug kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten die auch gut und gerne von älteren Publikum angenommen werden. Die Mühle liegt mitten im Wald an einem kleinen Bach. Insgesamt könnte man hier mal alles ein wenig auf Vordermann bringen. Angefangen bei dem Schild vorne am Parkplatz, bis zu der Speisekarte im Schaukasten, die runter gefallen ist. Wir mussten ein wenig warten, bis wir einen Platz bekommen haben. Die Kellnerin war nett Kaffee und Kuchen waren in Ordnung, die Preise waren meiner Meinung nach zu hoch. Insgesamt hat es uns jedoch ganz gut gefallen.

Man kann drinnen als auch draussen Essen. Das Personal ist freundlich, die Toiletten sauber und das Essen bisher gut.

Wir waren hier nur "kurz" eine kleine Kaffe und Kuchen Pause einlegen. Der Cappochnio und vorallem der Kaiserschmarrn waren super lecker. Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Parkplätze sind in der Nähe ausreichend vorhanden.

Gemütliches Hotel mitten im Wald, direkt daneben kann man an den Teichen entlang laufen. Nach einer ruhigen Nacht gab es ein tolles Frühstück, welches im Vorfeld selbst zusammen gestellt wurde.

Das Gebäude ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.Die Kellnerin ist ohne Erfahrung,aber der Pflaumenkuchen oder der Käsekuchen ist klasse.Der Kaffee war auch gut.Der Preis dafür wie in der Großstadt. Also schon was besonderes.

How shall I start? When we got there as part of a nice walk around the lakes two other tables were occupied, one of which was already served. We waited for over 15 minutes until the second table got the menu. Then, about 5 minutes later we also got the menu. Another 15 minutes and we placed the order: 4 single scoops of ice cream, a few drinks and some cake. The first two scoops of ice cream as well as half the drinks arrived after about 10 minutes. After the ice cream was finished, the other scoops arrived alongside the rest of the drinks. The cakes took another 10 minutes or so. I mean, the ice cream was good. The drinks as well. The cake was fresh and delicious and the service was friendly. But seriously, I can hardly imagine what the service speed would be when the restaurant is fully booked... The service is in need of some serious speed improvements!

Die Senior Chefin hat alles im Griff! Die Bedienung ist auf schneller Sohle unterwegs und das Essen ist den Weg Wert!👍
