Unfortunately, the restaurant wasn't very inviting. The plaster was crumbling from the ceiling, and there were cobwebs and dust. The water glass was dirty, the child seat was so dirty that it was impossible to use, and the cash register was broken, at least on that day, so there was no bill. The portions were large, but not tasty or poorly seasoned. The salad and tzatziki, on the other hand, were tasty.

First, the positives: Super friendly staff and the food was really delicious. The portions were generous. The ambiance was also very good. Now, unfortunately, the negatives: Unfortunately, we had to wait too long for our food (almost an hour), and our drink order was forgotten. We will definitely be back and hope that everything will be perfect on our next visit. Then we'll give it a full 5 stars. 😊 Update: We also tried the breakfast. Simple, but very tasty, and the omelet was very tasty.

My wife and I were guests at "Bei Georgios" this evening... And what can I say - it was basically a disaster, and I have to agree with several of the previous speakers. 😰🤷‍♂️ One positive thing to mention is the size of the portions. But that's about it, because the quality of the food proved otherwise. Gyros in Metaxa sauce was more like gyros with a tasteless liquid fat mix. We also had Krombacher from a bottle... because the "tap" doesn't work properly... 😤 Nevertheless, the €4.50 was charged to the card. When we wanted to pay, I was hit with a €44 bill... whereupon I asked for a receipt. I've attached the slip of paper for your convenience. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 The waiter said the cash register wasn't working either. Payment is only possible by cash or PayPal. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a scoundrel... 🫣 P.S. Unfortunately, you won't find any Greek ambiance in the restaurant (apart from the loud music). 🤷‍♂️

Got the gyros and I swear it was so good

Too expensive for a campsite. The mixed appetizer plate for around €16.00 was okay, but nothing special. The large salad, which mostly consisted of lettuce, was too expensive at €16.00. With garlic bread and two drinks, we paid €50.00. And I felt sick, probably because it was too greasy. Therefore, not suitable for a regular stop on vacation.

We were quite skeptical at first, as the restaurant is attached to a campsite and the ambiance was a bit dated. But the food was good and plentiful, and the staff was very friendly. A definite recommendation!

The food was good, but the service left a lot to be desired. We had to wait 30 minutes without a beer until someone asked if we wanted another! Since we wanted to pay and weren't satisfied, there was only a small tip! The guy wouldn't give us four euros, so we had to wait another five minutes, and then it was only €3.70—outrageous!!! Unfortunately, the quality seems to have declined considerably. The food used to be okay, with average taste. On our last visit, two of the four souvlaki skewers were still partially raw, and the meat was very tough overall—and not just ours. Despite this warning, no discount was offered.

The food is getting worse and worse and overpriced!!!!!!!! All the chairs on the terrace were broken, so you could only sit on the bars! Truly disastrous! The only positive point...the people are nice.

This restaurant is difficult to rate. As a visitor to the associated Prahljust campsite, this Greek restaurant is the only option for dining within walking distance. The food is delicious, and the service is very friendly. The location, building, and facilities are abysmal. The building is part of the campsite, which is currently struggling with its future. Conclusion: As a camping guest, you are provided with good food, within a short distance and in a friendly manner. Unfortunately, this isn't "fancy dining."

We were the only guests in the restaurant on Friday evening. The service was really very friendly. After ordering with four adults and five children, things went as follows: The adults had an appetizer (salad, a slice of cucumber, a slice of tomato, an olive, and a chili pepper). The children had to watch, as salad isn't included with the children's portions. Then, we two dads got their food first. After about two minutes, the moms and one child got their food. We had to start eating, otherwise it would get cold. After another five minutes, three more children got their food (we ordered four fish sticks and one nuggets with fries). One child, however, had to wait a little longer. After asking again, we were kindly told that it would take a while. So we started sharing the food. After another five minutes, the last meal finally arrived. If you can't manage to serve everything at the same time (which is perfectly fine), you should mention it at the beginning. However, I would say that maybe the children should get their food first. Then we ordered two ouzos, having specifically emphasized that we would only drink the ouzo 12. Because the others weren't tasty. Those came, too. At the end, we were asked if we wanted another ouzo on the house (of course we didn't say no), but they served a cheap ouzo that we could have done without. We ordered rolls there from Saturday to Sunday. We paid €15 for 4 regular, 4 multigrain, 4 croissants, and 2 cheese rolls. So far, everything was OK. But when we got to our seats, we were shocked... The cheese rolls were probably regular wheat rolls from the night before with a slice of Gouda cheese on top, reheated. The multigrain rolls were extremely small. It's a real shame because it has great potential. The music was quite loud, and the bar resembled a disco. Constantly changing colors, not really nice.

Hard-working people who make really tasty food for a great price.

We've been there twice. We gave €50 of a €44 bill, tipped the rest, and didn't even give us an ouzo. Today I bought two fries for €8 and there was nothing in them. Outrageous! Never again! They make every penny count there.

Friendly service, good selection, prices have increased. The salad as a starter was unfortunately not chilled, the ingredients no longer seemed fresh, and the dressing was mayo--a disappointing starter. The main course was a full score, but the side salad was not fresh. Afterwards, there was an ouzo on the house, but unfortunately, there was an insect in one of the glasses - but this was immediately rectified upon request. The premises are in need of renovation. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant.

I took a mini-trip with my youngest child to the Prahljust campsite, next to whose reception "Bei Georgios" is located. Visually rather "unobtrusive" from the outside, the interiors appear freshly renovated. By 6:30 p.m., a few guests were already there, most of whom were probably campers. We found a spot on the terrace, which offers a small view of the campsite. At least as far as the trees and bushes allow. We were greeted warmly at our table very promptly and given the menu. Shortly after, we ordered drinks and meals. Both arrived without too much of a wait—the drinks, of course, almost immediately. We both got a salad first, which tasted good and was obviously freshly prepared. The boy had a chicken schnitzel with fries, and I opted for a bifteki with fries instead of the rice actually mentioned on the menu. The two more than adequate portions tasted very good! I also thought the price wasn't exactly cheap. A pleasant visit with friendly hosts at a reasonable price. If we're ever back on the site, we'll definitely visit the restaurant again!

Picked up food and ate it at the campsite. The meat dishes were very tasty 👍 However, the food is quite expensive. A dollop of tzatziki without bread for €6.50 is outrageous.

The food and drinks arrived quickly. The drink prices were normal, but for the price of the food, I expected more. Given the high prices, ketchup and mayonnaise should really be included, not 60 cents for a small sachet. We didn't even get an ouzo at the end... so not a good Greek friend. The staff was nice and friendly, which was almost the only thing we enjoyed about the visit.

Everything was very good. The takeaway service at the campsite was also good.

If the OSB panels had been finished painting and the construction dust on the backrests had been replaced with a bit of green, it would have been 5 stars. But that little bit hardly detracts from the rest: the friendly staff and the delicious gyro, which we didn't manage after a long day of hiking. Thank you :)

Food is good but the restaurant needs some renovation

Good food, very friendly service. A bit on the expensive side, but the atmosphere is like a sports field. The staff is friendly, and despite a large group, we all got our food at the same time. Unfortunately, there's very little vegetarian food. Payment only in cash!

What a wonderful surprise it was, to discover this little greek in the camping Prahljust! We were here today for the second time and they are really worth a review. The food and service were excellent and very recommendable. Friendly and attentive and the food tasted as in Greece. It was a little escape to the Mediterranean from rainy, gray day in Clausthal. The less stars for the ambient are simply because the camping fact and the "canteen" feel at the entrance. The restaurant itself it's clean, tidy and pretty new renovated. You notice the dedication put from the owners to make you feel welcome.

Arrived today with the RV and immediately tried Georgios. Simple atmosphere – of course, it's not in the city center. Great service, friendly, and attentive. We really enjoyed the food. Squid with gyros and gyros straight from the skewer, everything was excellent. It certainly won't be the last time we eat here this week.

Now I know how to get positive reviews... The grilled salmon was too salty, and the arugula and orange slices on the second dish were at least a week old. Never again...

We ate at Georgios's campsite with the family – and it was simply fantastic! Super friendly service, a relaxed atmosphere, and the food was absolutely fantastic. The gyro and feta were especially amazing – fresh, delicious, and perfectly seasoned. A great place to enjoy after a day at the lake. We'll definitely be back!!!

There isn't a single vegetarian main course on the entire menu. We also find almost €12 for five small baked mushrooms overpriced. However, the food was truly delicious and the service friendly. Our dog was welcome, and the food arrived promptly.

It's truly highly recommended. Very friendly, attentive staff, a good selection, and no matter what we chose, everything was delicious and, above all, plentiful. We'll definitely be back when we're in the Harz again.

We were pleased that the campsite offers a restaurant - a Greek restaurant *Bei Georgios*. We had looked at the menu online in advance and reserved a table for New Year's Eve so we could have a nice meal and celebrate the new year with DJ music. Since we arrived later than planned on the day of arrival, we went to the restaurant on the first evening. However, we were shocked in the entrance area: it was completely untidy, there were catering equipment, a Euro pallet and a lot of stuff lying around. The guest room had the charm of the 70s. For a campsite we thought it was fine. But when we received the menu, we couldn't believe our eyes. Unlike the menu in the card box in front of the door and the menu on the website, the prices have been increased by around 30% with small stickers. This is how Clausthal-Zellerfeld became a cosmopolitan city when it came to prices. Until then it would have been within reason if the waiter hadn't smelled of sweat, the food had been warm and the main course on New Year's Eve, when people eat in peace, hadn't just been placed on the table during the starter, never experienced something so unloving on New Year's Eve. Just to point out a few mistakes. Oh, there wasn't the promised music on New Year's Eve either. The two young women in service were very friendly, but technically overwhelmed. We didn't let it spoil our fun on New Year's Eve, the campsite brought it back with their celebration.

Service staff was friendly. The ambience leaves a lot to be desired, carelessly designed and not really inviting. There are dirty bread baskets in the entrance area. We waited almost 60 minutes for starters. But they were the only guests. It was also carelessly arranged. Why a cheap napkin under the garlic bread?🤷‍♂️ You could eat it, let's put it that way. Of course it's at a campsite, but why so careless? Not again, sorry.

We ate there with three people, the service was friendly but clearly overwhelmed. The ambience was very poor, the floor was very slippery and the cleanliness of the tables and ceilings also left a lot to be desired. However, the food was a complete disappointment, the meat was dry and some of the side dishes weren't really cooked through. We wouldn't recommend the whole thing.

Today, Friday, we were full of expectations and after making a reservation and waiting a long time (70 minutes) we only got as far as the salad. Full of anticipation because we had a very good meal here last year, we are back at Georgios today. It's a bit strange that the handwritten stickers pasted onto the menu above each category show that each dish costs so much more than stated (10-20% increase in one year). Starter grilled sardines too dry, not seasoned enough. Side salad carelessly with a dollop of ready-made dressing. The main course took ages to arrive and was cold. We had it returned. It came back and was still cold. On the third attempt it was reasonably warm, but the gyros were dry, bland and not crossy, calamari like a tasteless rubber ball. You had to order the ketchup for the fries separately and the packet was charged an extra 50 cents. When we asked if we liked the food and expressed our criticism, we were told that none of that was true because he (the waiter, Giorgo, or whoever) knew better about gyros and calamari have... Well then... We probably have no idea, sorry about that...🙏🏻, we probably should have apologized that we didn't like it at all, rather than an apology or we didn't even hear a "sorry"... It's a shame that a service company apparently can't handle criticism and feels personally insulted.

Food and service are excellent. In terms of ambience, it's just a campsite restaurant. The lamb chops I ordered were absolutely amazing. Add a glass of Imiglikos and the world is wonderful. My friends who were there also really enjoyed it. I would be happy to come back!

The liver offered was ok. A little more seasoning and a little spicier searing would have been nicer. When serving the liver in so many pieces, it would be nice if the tendons were removed. The gratinated gyro was nothing. The cheese had no flavor and the metaxa sauce had no taste whatsoever. The location of the restaurant is nice, but toilets that don't smell like it would have been nice. Oh, the waitress preferred to talk to her colleagues rather than take care of the customers.

So there were 5 of us and we made a reservation because of the reviews. One waitress was really nice, the other probably wasn't having a good day. It was really very well attended. Everyone ordered different dishes. The rest was OK, but the gyro didn't work at all! Totally greasy, undercooked and way too coarsely cut. And all 5 people said that. We probably had too high an expectation. Tastes vary, but it didn't suit ours. Portions were OK. Rice and salad weren't to our taste either. But as I said, us personally. We will no longer visit the restaurant. The food was ready quite quickly and hot. Only the taste and quality were not ours.

Ordered once, wrong food was delivered the first time. The second time, the right food, but very poor quality. When I asked again what we could do now, we were only offered that drinks would be free if we eat on site. But everything is non-binding. There is absolutely no solution to this and therefore not recommended. The stated delivery time was also exceeded.

We contacted the restaurant from home to find out if they could take 46 people for dinner, Schweineschnitzel with boiled potatoes, mushroom sauce, salad and for dessert apple strudel, in connection with our DCU (Danish Camping Union) Late Summer meeting at Campingplatz Prahljust. They wanted that, and it has gone beyond all expectations, plate serving for 46 people, they came walking with plate after plate, smiling and happy. The service is sometimes attentive and friendly, sometimes unresponsive and annoyed. In any case, overwhelmed. The atmosphere is spartan and loveless. The prices are too high for the quality or the portion size. You neither get a lot of food nor do you get really good food. Meat dry, everything not seasoned or seasoned boringly, fries fried for too long, rice soggy, salad sparse with ready-made dressing. We didn't get what we ordered, which was noted with annoyance when we commented and no solution was really offered. Unfortunately it's the only restaurant in the immediate vicinity of the campsite - but next time anyway I prefer pasta from the camping stove.

First we waited a long time for food My wife and I had bad diarrhea that evening and two days after that. Something was wrong with the food. Atmosphere like in a train station restaurant! It was extremely loud. Price for the food is way too high! We definitely won't be eating at Georgios again! There are better restaurants in CLZ

We are campsite residents and regularly enjoy the delicious food. No matter whether in the restaurant, where our dog is always welcome, or to pick it up, the portions were always good and very tasty. We particularly like the starter salad, finally no boring coleslaw! Hopefully we will continue to be welcome guests.

We stayed at the campsite for 3 nights to meet up with friends. We stayed in Georgios' rooms. The price for 2 adults with a (large) dog was 165€. In return we got a room that was acceptable, however: without a wardrobe, with a coat rack without hooks to hang it up, no bed linen (which we didn't know beforehand), an old bathroom where you couldn't hang the shower head, with shower taps and shower head 30 years old, not working properly and 1 small and 1 large towel. As a camper you're not that spoiled - so it's kind of fitting. To do something good for him, we also had dinner there twice. That was pretty okay, even if the fries were “clear” the first time. The opening times are also different everywhere: closed on Tuesdays but still open, only open in the afternoon from 5 p.m., but they offer lunch and even breakfast on their website... After we had paid for the rooms and were on the way home, we received a message from our friends: Georgius had complained about us! Our dog was too big for it and it would smell a bit like a dog. They knew IN ADVANCE how big this breed is! And I find it absolutely impossible not to say it to our faces OR call us when we pay!! We're not allowed to come back - it doesn't matter! Of course, you can decide for yourself whether you want to experience it that way.

We had dinner today with 4 adults and a child. We were served very politely and the waiting time for drinks and food was perfect 👍. We had noodles, standard gyros, gyros gratinated and a plate... The food was very good, whether it was fries or rice, both tasted very good… There was a good salad with all four dishes, the size of which was also well chosen. We will come back in any case.

We visited the restaurant a few days ago with six people. Because of the many positive reviews, we were looking forward to a lovely evening. We also took note of the reviews, but unfortunately did not take them into account. The evening was a disaster! WE WILL NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN! Our reviews: The light shaft next to the outdoor dining area was littered with garbage (tons of cardboard boxes, old chairs, etc.). Unfortunately we saw this too late, otherwise we would have left in time. The service was tried hard, but despite the moderate number of guests, it was obviously overwhelmed: a meal was forgotten and only served late after being reminded. The taste of the food didn't satisfy any of us. The mood was completely over when strange black hairs were found in one of the dishes! Our complaint was acknowledged with the words “that could happen,” sorry, none! Just a few minutes later, we heard at the next table that there was strange hair in the food. Last but not least: The prices on the homepage are not current, they were increased at some point and pasted into the menus for recalculation.

We went after reading the pretty good reviews...it's just a campsite's charm...but...THE FOOD IS SOOOOO TASTY AND PLENTY...I completely forgot to take photos..😅 but I also saw it good... Had a delicious grill plate with tender liver, crispy gyros and delicious minced steak filled with cheese... then breaded sheep's cheese... HEAVENLY! Are currently here for rehab...will come back!!!😍👑😋😋😋
