Wir bestellten, und eine halbe Stunde später hieß es, der Rindfleischeintopf sei nicht da. Beim Bezahlen wurde uns gesagt, man akzeptiere nur ausländische Kreditkarten, und zwar ausschließlich deutsche. Was, wenn ich kein Bargeld dabei habe? Soll ich etwa abwaschen? Und es ist unklar, ob die Rechnung zu hoch war oder nicht. Wir waren nach vielen Jahren wieder dort, und es war eine absolute Katastrophe. Gehen Sie bloß nie wieder in dieses Restaurant!

Leider war unser Besuch sehr enttäuschend. Die Mitarbeiter waren äußerst unfreundlich und wenig aufmerksam. Das Fleisch hat überhaupt nicht geschmeckt, der Salat war matschig und auch das Brot war leider nicht genießbar. Besonders irritierend war, dass unser Essen einfach zum Mitnehmen eingepackt wurde, obwohl wir im Restaurant essen wollten. Auf unsere Nachfrage wurde uns in einem sehr unfreundlichen Ton gesagt, dass dies daran liege, dass wir eine Flasche Wasser dabeihatten. Man hätte uns zumindest freundlich darauf hinweisen und fragen können, ob wir Getränke bestellen möchten. Während unseres Aufenthalts hat sich der Mitarbeiter außerdem fast die ganze Zeit mit seinen Kollegen unterhalten, anstatt sich um uns als Gäste zu kümmern. Am Ende haben wir das Essen leider weggeworfen. Das ärgert mich besonders, weil ich es wirklich hasse, Lebensmittel zu verschwenden. Für uns war dieser Besuch insgesamt eine sehr schlechte Erfahrung. Früher war komplett anders.

Leider war ich von meinem Besuch bei Piro Restaurant enttäuscht. Ich hatte den Salat Piro mit Brot bestellt. Der Salat war leider wässrig, sodass auch das Fleisch komplett durchnässt war. Insgesamt hatte das Gericht eher die Konsistenz einer Suppe als eines Salats. Schade, denn ich hatte mir deutlich mehr erwartet. Für mich war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bei diesem Gericht leider nicht zufriedenstellend.

Es ist köstlich, und die Portionen sind groß.

Kann man wirklich 30 Euro für eine Linsensuppe, eine Kuttelsuppe und drei Flaschen Wasser verlangen? Sind die denn verrückt? Erst nach den Preisen fragen, dann bestellen! Der Service ist unterirdisch.

Schlechtes Essen, altes Fleisch 😝😝😝

Wir waren mit einer großen Gruppe von Freunden dort, und leider war es eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Die scharfe Vorspeise und die Kadınbudu Köfte, die uns serviert wurden, schienen verdorben zu sein. Wir hatten Lamm Tandır bestellt, aber was kam, schmeckte eher nach Hammel und war definitiv kein Tandır. Es roch sehr unangenehm, und niemand an unserem Tisch konnte das Essen genießen. Angesichts des Preises von 28 € pro Person war es das Geld absolut nicht wert. Es gibt viele Restaurants, in denen man für dasselbe Geld deutlich besser isst. Ich würde dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen.

Mit Abstand die beste türkische Küche in Karlsruhe. Lecker Döner, Pide etc. Aber auch richtig gute Grillgerichte. Mein Highlight: die selbstgemachte Linsensuppe 😍

Wir gehen sehr gerne dorthin, seit wir nach Karlsruhe gezogen sind; der Service und das Essen sind hervorragend. Die Speisekarte mag auf den ersten Blick teuer erscheinen, aber angesichts der Portionsgrößen finde ich sie eigentlich recht angemessen. Wir sind sehr zufrieden, danke Piro.

Leider hat die Qualität in letzter Zeit stark nachgelassen. Früher habe ich hier gerne bestellt, meistens Döner-Teller zum Mitnehmen. Ich habe bestimmt schon über 20 Mal telefonisch genau dieselbe Bestellung aufgegeben: ein einfacher Döner-Teller zum Mitnehmen und dazu 2 einfache Fladenbrote. Bei meiner letzten Bestellung fragte der Mitarbeiter am Telefon plötzlich: „Mit Käse?“ Ich habe extra deutlich gesagt: „Nein, einfach nur 2 leere/einfache Brote zum Döner-Teller dazu.“ Als ich die Bestellung abholen wollte, war sie trotzdem falsch vorbereitet. Noch schlimmer war aber das Verhalten der Mitarbeiter. Einer sagte: „Ich habe das so verstanden“, der andere meinte sogar: „Dann hast du es nicht richtig erklärt.“ Wenn es meine erste Bestellung gewesen wäre, würde ich sagen, vielleicht lag der Fehler bei mir. Aber ich bestelle dort regelmäßig immer dasselbe. Zu Hause habe ich dann gemerkt, dass im Brot offenbar altes bzw. vom Vortag übrig gebliebenes Dönerfleisch verwendet wurde. Geschmack und Qualität sind leider überhaupt nicht mehr wie früher. Wirklich enttäuschend.

Ich war gestern dort essen und das Erlebnis war einfach unglaublich. Schon vom ersten Moment an spürt man die sehr einladende Atmosphäre und die Liebe zum Detail. Alles war makellos sauber und ordentlich, was sofort ein hervorragendes Gefühl vermittelt. Der Service war exzellent – ​​die Mitarbeiter waren überaus freundlich, aufmerksam und stets hilfsbereit, sodass wir uns rundum wohlfühlten. Das Essen war köstlich, wunderschön angerichtet und voller Geschmack. Man konnte die Qualität der Zutaten und die Hingabe bei der Zubereitung jedes einzelnen Gerichts erkennen. Die Atmosphäre ist angenehm, ruhig und perfekt sowohl für ein besonderes Abendessen als auch für einen entspannten Moment. Ein Restaurant, in das man unbedingt wiederkommen muss. Ich kann es wärmstens empfehlen!

Leider absolut nicht empfehlenswert. Wir waren zu dritt dort und haben jeweils 9,50 € für einen Döner bezahlt – und erst zu Hause gemerkt, wie enttäuschend das Ergebnis war. Der Döner war inhaltlich extrem spärlich gefüllt, kaum Fleisch, kaum Salat, ansonsten auch gar nichtsweiteres mehr drin .. insgesamt sehr lieblos. Für diesen Preis erwartet man definitiv etwas anderes. Es war ehrlich gesagt ein richtiger Schock, die Döner auszupacken und zu sehen, wie wenig drin war. Zusätzlich hatte ich nach dem Essen noch tagelang Probleme: drei Tage später hatte ich immer noch Bauchkrämpfe, was das Ganze noch unangenehmer und besorgniserregend macht. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier aus unserer Sicht überhaupt nicht. Schade, aber wir kommen nicht wieder und können den Laden leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Wir kommen seit vielen Jahren regelmäßig hierher und sind stets sehr zufrieden. Das Essen schmeckt wirklich hervorragend, die Qualität ist konstant hoch und die Portionen sind fair bemessen. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit des gesamten Teams – man wird jedes Mal herzlich empfangen und fühlt sich willkommen. Auch der Laden selbst ist sauber und gepflegt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist absolut angemessen, gerade wenn man berücksichtigt, wie stark die allgemeinen Kosten in den letzten Jahren gestiegen sind. Niemand bekommt heutzutage seine Ware umsonst, umso mehr schätzen wir die gleichbleibende Qualität ✨

Hello everyone, We regularly go to this Turkish restaurant and are always delighted. The quality of the meat is excellent, the portions are large and truly satisfying, and the food overall is plentiful, fresh, and full of flavor. It's always a pleasure to eat there. What's especially important to us is that our children are always happy when we go. They feel comfortable, enjoy eating with us, and appreciate the atmosphere just as much as we do. A restaurant we can highly recommend.

Have eaten here several times, always good, always worth going back

We stopped by briefly last night around 11 pm, and the nice gentleman offered us something to eat. It's by far one of the best restaurants in all of Germany, but unfortunately, I can no longer afford the prices and won't be coming back. A doner kebab plate costs €17, and an Adana kebab is €21.50. I'm not paying those prices anymore, and my wallet doesn't stretch that far. Highest recommendation from me! Friendly service, clean restaurant, and a welcoming atmosphere. Best regards

The original post has been removed. I seriously wonder how the positive reviews come about. The current state of the shop doesn't match them. This used to be one of the better kebab shops in Karlsruhe. Unfortunately, nothing of that remains. On my visit today, I ordered a kebab and a yufka to go. I was the only customer and still had to wait about 10 minutes. The selection of ingredients was very limited; several containers were half empty. Price: Kebab + Yufka + Cheese = €19.50. The portions were disproportionately small for the price. The kebab was very bland. The bread wasn't homemade and was noticeably hard. After eating, I had a distinctly unpleasant, furry feeling in my mouth. My son (6 years old) complained of a numb feeling in his mouth after eating half a yufka. We didn't finish it. The hygiene was particularly concerning: An employee was moving prepared salads from one plate to another with his bare hand. Used plates were simply wiped with a napkin and placed back with the clean ones. The entire place looked neglected and was in dire need of cleaning. After a long day, we were looking forward to a quick, good meal. Instead, the visit was disappointing and a health concern. We will definitely not be returning. A report has been filed with the relevant inspection authority. Price per person: €10–20

The Turkish grill restaurant is my favorite when I'm in Karlsruhe. The food was delicious, and the quality of the meat was superb – tender and well-seasoned. The flatbread is homemade, and you can taste the difference. The service was friendly and attentive. Even when the restaurant was full, the food arrived at the table quite quickly. The restrooms could use an update, as could the menus. Unfortunately, parking is limited since the restaurant is located in the city center; with a bit of luck, you might find a spot on the same street.

It's not like before, all the food was better in the past

The three of us ate here today. We used to come here more often and were always satisfied. I have no idea what happened, but this definitely isn't the best doner kebab in town. The three of us each ordered an Iskender Special. I've never eaten such a bad Iskender. Not in all of Karlsruhe. It tasted like it had been deep-fried in oil. The meat was extremely gristly. When we asked about it, they said it was because it was layered. Let's be honest. If I layer good, high-quality meat, I still don't get any gristle. On top of that, the bread was soaked in oil. We'll definitely never come here again. And none of us felt well after eating it. I even felt nauseous afterward. Please make sure you improve your quality and don't just keep driving up the prices. It was certainly one of the most expensive Iskenders I've eaten in Karlsruhe. €19 is quite a steep price.

It's one of the best places to find products like yufka (wrap) and döner kebab. It's a perfect complement to those craving a cup of brewed tea after a meal.

Regular restaurant, clear line and super quality for years

One of the better kebab shops in Karlsruhe. The menu could be a bit more extensive. Unfortunately, the prices are a bit too high, especially for drinks.

While we were eating, a mouse ran past our feet from the back kitchen area. The employee explained that the back door was open because the employees were smoking and that's where the mouse got in. That was the last time I eat there. You always ask yourself whether the food you're eating hasn't been nibbled on beforehand.

For that price, you can get a turkey schnitzel with side dishes and a fresh salad in a traditional German restaurant – and all with traceable ingredients. At Piro, you feel more like you're sitting in an average snack bar. The service itself is noticeable: basic gastronomic knowledge is lacking, for example, when setting the table – the cutlery was placed haphazardly. The doner kebab itself was poorly presented and tasted nothing special. For that price, I expect significantly more quality and atmosphere.

Wow Piro, just wow... For €9.50! Got a kebab that was the right size, but with very little topping. No red or white cabbage, and they didn't even offer carrots as a substitute, even though they had it... I wasn't even asked for pul biber. There was nothing wrong with the meat, though. Overall, for €9.50, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone; it was my last time there!

I never thought that a place with over a thousand reviews and a 4.3 star rating could have such a bad atmosphere. I'm still in shock. When you enter you are greeted by an unpleasant smell. While you think about what could be causing this smell, you lose your appetite. The dim lighting, the stuffy, oppressive air and the old furniture make me feel like things could be worse in the kitchen area.

A colleague and I were here in the evening and took two kebab boxes because of the brutally expensive kebab prices. The worst kebab box of my life! The meat wasn't cooked through, the fries were barely fried and incredibly greasy. And on top of all that, the portions were also below average. For the price it was a disgrace and I threw the stuff away halfway through.

If there had been zero stars I would have given no stars at all, just a catastrophe from the staff to the food, everything.

I ordered a normal kebab plate there and ate it. Had to wait a long time for service despite being advised. That 18€ for the kebab plate and 4€ ice cream! Food was good but the price is outrageous for the plate and service on the terrace can be forgotten! Never again.

The ambience is traditionally furnished. The staff are nice but I can only speak for yesterday's visit: We reserved a large table for 7 people and it was over 33 degrees outside. There was air conditioning, but there was none of it in the space allocated to us, so it was really uncomfortably warm. Otherwise, the food was solid and was served very quickly after ordering.
