KOLO City Pizza & Kebaphaus in Karlsruhe

It was okay, but tasted like a minced meat skewer...

It's a very nice taste, all the employees are smiling, I recommend it to everyone.

Staff all very nice, hygienic top and the lady at the cash register takes orders and cashes but she doesn't make any food, so top 👍

Very poor hygiene when handling food. The lady at the cash register thinks she's perfectly fine with her long acrylic nails, touching everything, taking money, and so on, and then putting her fingers into the food. After she had the money in her hands, she simply took all the meat out of a pide to put the forgotten sauce on it. Then she placed all the meat back on the dough with her handfuls. And then she dug her long fingernails into the dough to seal it. Apparently, there's no knowledge of how to handle food here. NEVER again!

The employees have no hygiene, they grab the money and then the food (the woman at the cash register). That's unacceptable. I wanted it without sauce, but they still put it on. The only good thing about the store is the opening hours. I will NOT eat there or order food again.

We bought a "Hawaiian" pizza to go. The pineapple on it was spoiled!

This is the best place for döner and yufka in Karlsruhe. Every week I am having one. Couldn't recommend more.

Very very overpriced. The shop has increased the prices twice since Corona Inflation, despite an economic boom, which you can clearly see in other shops and restaurateurs in Karlsruhe, the pizza and kebab prices are quite high compared to others. The food has also been reduced to a lot and portioned less.

€8.50 for a small yufka with minced meat on a skewer. This place has lost touch with reality. The quality is mediocre at best. EDIT: I was there again recently (unfortunately). The quality seems to have drastically deteriorated again. Some of the meat was so burnt that it felt like coal when chewed. I wonder how anyone can offer something like that in good conscience. As the owner, I would be ashamed...

Very tasty kebabs and really great value for money and the staff are very friendly and respectful. I really like to get my food there.

We were there around 0500 in the morning. It took a little longer, but that was probably due to the operation of the establishment. Doner bread was out and we got a yufka. All in all the dudes were very fair and the food was perfect. I would love to come back on my next trip to Karlsruhe.

We paid €26 for a kebab pizza and calzone - the taste was good, but the price was completely exorbitant 😳

The Yufka spezial vegetarisch is really nice! It's slightly spicy and baked in the oven, so it's quite different from other veggie Yufkas I've had before. If you enjoy spicy food, the pizza hot hot is also great! It's a bit more expensive than other kebab places, but the flavours are very nice.

It is one of the good doner places in Karlsruhe, the atmosphere is nothing special but the quality of the food is good enough.

The last time I was here was about 3 years ago. In my opinion, Kolo made the best pide in town. Now I thought I'd get a kebab there after a long time. What I got was meat, a little salad with 3 slices of tomatoes on it and sauce. And that for a proud eight euros. In terms of taste, in the end it was actually just flatbread and meat. Everyone can imagine what it tastes like. This annoys me so much that I have to write a negative review. There was more to top up on the counter. Unfortunately, as I found out today, I can't recommend Kolo to anyone.

Worst store I've been to in a long time. Put expired pineapple pieces on our Hawaiian pizza. My colleague only ordered yufka with rice and meat and ended up with everything. Absolutely bad

I recently visited Kolo Kebab and was pleasantly surprised by the lovely atmosphere and harmonious furniture design. The charcoal grill gives the dishes a special aroma. My Napoli pizza without olives was delicious and the Ayran was a fair price of 1.50 euros. The taste convinced me! The videos in the store show the brand in a cool light, and the individually designed armchairs with the logo are a real highlight. I'd love to come back!

The kebab tastes good but 9 euros isn't enough, that's a no-go for wrapped meat and salad for 30 cents. In no industry has there been a 60 percent increase in three years. We don't eat anymore and I'm not the only one and it has nothing to do with the money but rather the fact that this price can't be justified

Food is okay but the lady at the checkout was very rude to us when we ordered. We ordered by number and the lady had no idea what 65 was and then became cheeky. I find that very unprofessional. Unfortunately, customers are not kings.

For me it had always been the best, but this evening around 7:30 p.m. there was a man at the checkout who had unkempt fingernails for so long! I'm sorry but I had to give the Jufka to a homeless person!!! And then he touches the money and then rolls my Jufka, sorry, but the next time he's standing there being served, I won't go in! And all for a Jufka with onion and meat for €8! shock

Excellent Kebab! Friendly waiters. And not expensive. We recommend the best that we have tested in Karlsruhe and elsewhere.

Sehr beliebter Dönerladen in Karlsruhe. Musste recht lange warten bis ich dran war - Yufka sehr lecker! in Karlsruhe auf jeden Fall weit vorne mit dabei geschmacklich. Auswahl der Zutaten Standard, Fleisch ebenfalls, aber alles frisch gemacht und würzig, das passt. Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht, kann man absolut nicht meckern. Preislich wie überall nicht mehr günstig, Portionsgröße könnte dafür größer sein. Gute 4 Sterne!

The dönner pizza was amazing (€11.00). Almost 30 cm, very good bread, sauce and meat. It was cooked using classic brick oven. Fast and delicious. Nice attention. Few words, but a lot of gentle gestures. The place is comfortable. Sometimes random people entered and started to yell in many languages, but it is okay. It is part of the experience.

One of the top Döner in town, if not THE best. Always fresh, homemade bread and a big menu with a lot of variety and everything I had so far was just so good.

We just ordered 2 Yufka. The quality is amazing. Never had an awesome one like this. If you like spicy, you should definitely take the Yufka hot hot!

Erst macht man sich über vegetarischen Döner lustig ("Wer will schon Döner mit Reis essen?") und dann vergisst er komplett die Soße. KOLOssaler Fehlgriff IMHO 😄

Immer wenn ich zufällig in karlsruhe unterwegs bin muss ich vorbei schauen und mir Pizza Sucuk bestellen die schmeckt einfach Hammer geil kann ich jeden weiter empfehlen liebe Grüße der Nachbar

Mein Lieblingsdöner in KA. Drinnen ganz schick für einen Dönerladen. Preise sind ok. Die Zeiten vom Döner für 4,50€ sind nunmal vorbei. Chef ist sehr nett.

Es war eine von wenigen Möglichkeiten, nach 23:00 Uhr noch etwas zu Essen zu bekommen. Ich hatte einen Dönerteller, das Fleisch war nur noch lauwarm, der Reis jedoch heiß und sehr lecker. Das Fleisch war unspektakulär, der Salat war frisch und knackig.

Sehr interessanter Laden. Der döner war sehr lecker und die Pommes absolut ok. Die Preise sind Standart mit knapp 7€ für einen Döner.

Lassen sich bei jedem Döner die nötige Zeit damit er immer gut wird. Setzen Extrawünsche wie weniger Fleisch und mehr Salat um. Backen das Brot frisch auf. Pizza aus dem Holzofen auch super lecker und frisch gemacht. Zu empfehlen :)

Brot wird aus Teig Frisch aufgebacken. Relativ Groß aber nicht so gefüllt wie andere. Qualitativ Hochwertig, Geschmacklich sehr Gut aber nicht wirklich Besonders. 1 Milde Joghurt Soße. Eisbergsalat, Zwiebeln, Tomaten, Gurken, Paprika, 1 Fleischsorte für den Standard Döner. Mit 7€ allerdings sehr teuer. Wäre er billiger wären es 5 Sterne, so alles in allem nur 4,5.

Was ganz besonders aufgefallen ist, war die Freundlichkeit des Besitzers. Er hat mit der 4 Monate alten Tochter Spaß gemacht, beim Gehen die Tür aufgehalten. Das erwartet man natürlich nicht, setzt man schon gar nicht voraus. Aber wenn es in einem Dönerladen passiert ist das schon sehr ungewöhnlich, aber wahnsinnig nett. Es war eine ehrliche, freundliche Art des Herrn. Für Gastfreundschaft gibt es die volle Punktzahl. Zum Essen: Der Döner Kebap kostet hier 5,50€. Jetzt wird recht schnell das Argument kommen, dass ich diesen wo anders für 2,50€ bekomme. Verstehe ich. Fakt ist aber auch, dass die Döner im Kolo eine ordentliche Größe haben. Wie groß der Döner sein soll muss jeder für sich entscheiden. Man muss die Größe aber bei der Betrachtung der Preise berücksichtigen. Geschmacklich war der Döner lecker, die Soße sehr gut. Das Kolo hat als nettes Feature außerdem Bildschirme an den Wänden, auf einem kann man z.B. sehen wann die Straßenbahnen in Karlsruhe fahren. Witzige Idee. Fazit: Freundlicher Gastgeber, sehr guter Döner. 5,50€ aber ein gehobener Preis für einen Döner, den man sich leisten wollen muss.

das Brot, in dem der Döner serviert wird, ist selbstgebacken und schmeckt klasse. Leider gibt es nur eine Fleischauswahl und auch die weiteren Zutaten sind eher schlicht . Möchte man Soße auf seinen Döner hat man auch hier nur eine Auswahl. Da viele Läden dieser Art in der Umgebung sind, würde ich beim nächsten Mal anderswo essen.
