After 30 years, the “Pinocchio” in Konstanz will close on May 11, 2024. It is not yet known whether and when there will be a new start with other operators.

There were four of us there with a reservation. The cellar was not motivated. We were craving meat. 3 of us ordered meat. We have never eaten such poor quality food. Even at festivals there was better meat. The menu said vegetables and baked potatoes. I asked if I could have it with spinach. It said no problem. Afterwards the food came, mine was without potatoes and so I asked. It was said that if I chose spinach I would skip the potatoes. Incomprehensible. The waiter brought potatoes for once. My friend and her brother had a walnut-sized cauliflower, 2 small slices of carrots and 2 slices of zucchini very carelessly arranged as vegetables. That was the worst vegetable side dish like in a staff canteen. The Italian restaurant usually serves a fine variety of vegetables refined with olive oil. Far from it. The meat was inedible. Totally fibrous and difficult to chew. We decided to report it. Then I said I'm sorry. That's it. The nice man at the buffet told my colleague that they would make it up to her. It was just a statement. Because neither the food nor the service was good, we decided not to tip. If the service had been good we would definitely have given something. At least he could have asked after he served if everything was good. He just came to clear things up. Didn't ask for coffee or dessert. There were a lot of waiters and he also had time. Afterward, when we left, the waiter didn't even look at us and turned away unfriendly. No goodbyes, nothing. Is it really about the tip? Does a friendly farewell cost money? Well, feedback wasn't that important. The starters were good. Price performance too high for the quality of meat. Happy to pay if the meat was good. Pinocchio was once very good and well-known. For 50 euros HG and VS we expected better food. A pity

Great service, delicious food, courteous service. We had antipasti, fish soup and ravioli. It was all very tasty. Certainly ambitious in terms of price but the quality is right, hence 5/5!

We were there for dinner. Reservation is recommended. The food is good but the prices are high. The vegetables were practically raw, hence the star deducted. Very rustic rooms and very friendly staff. A request to other guests: A dog that has stomach problems and eats its vomit does not increase the appetite of other guests. You should think about the fact that dogs have to stay outside in a more upscale restaurant.

Very bad manners from the staff. After being refused entry because we hadn't reserved a table by a very friendly waitress who asked a colleague if it was possible to receive us, he said no. Everything was going well so far, but my companion was outside and saw that as soon as I turned my back to leave, this man started making gestures of displeasure. Something unacceptable to do to anyone!!!!! Knowing how to live and education fits everywhere!!!

Very nice atmosphere, excellent service and quality. The only thing that concerns me is the fact that the same menu, including the seasonal one, has been in effect for too long. We were there for the 5th time and are starting to think that a renewal is due.

Great restaurant and great place to go for delicious Italian and Mediterranean food. The atmosphere is really cozy, although a bit cramped. The service is friendly and accommodating. The food itself is really tasty, well seasoned and harmonious. I just think it's a bit of a shame that there was no real side dish with the fish, but of course everything can be supplemented for an additional charge of 6 euros. You can choose between 2 menus or a special seasonal menu as well as ala carte, which also includes a seasonal section. All in all, a large and varied selection that leaves nothing to be desired. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the wine list, as we rarely drink wine, but the drinks we had were delicious in terms of value for money. The dishes themselves are of high quality, you can definitely see the handwork that still goes on here. There is a basket with bread and truffle butter in advance. Depending on what was ordered, the standard menu sequence follows with well-timed breaks between courses. The portions themselves were a bit too small for me personally, but - coupled with the breaks - you are still well full at the end. I will recommend this restaurant.

We dined here in August. A wonderful selection of food, courteous service, fabulous wine. I had an excellent, tasty Negroni for my digestif. The hospitality is excellent here. Italian cuisine but also thought ahead. Overall, we were very satisfied and will definitely come back when we visit Konstanz again.

It's a typical italian restaurant, good food and very thoughtful staff. Checking on us enough without it becoming uncomfortable, grating the parmesan on my spinach ravioli for me and such. I had the bistecca next, which was also very good at about € 30 for a 200gr piece. That was a bit low on veggies for my taste, but very well prepared.

Il Ristorante Pinocchio a Costanza si è rivelato una piacevole sorpresa durante il mio soggiorno. La sua posizione strategica, vicina al mio hotel e al centro della città, lo ha reso facilmente accessibile. La cucina tipica italiana è un vero punto di forza. I piatti, serviti con cura e ricchi di sapore, sono davvero ottimi. I prezzi sono più che ragionevoli, rendendo l'esperienza culinaria ancora più apprezzabile. Il personale è estremamente gentile e disponibile, e la loro capacità di comunicare sia in tedesco che in italiano è un valore aggiunto. Il Ristorante Pinocchio è senza dubbio un'ottima scelta per chi desidera assaporare autentica cucina italiana all'estero. Consigliato!

Das Essen ist ok. Echt italienische Küche geht allerdings anders... Al dente ist bei Pasta offenbar nicht bekannt, mein Teller hatte dazu mehr Fingerabdrücke am Rand, als Essen drauf! Der Service war gut gemeint, aber unglaublich schlecht umgesetzt. Erst bringt der Kellner zwei von 5 bestellten Getränken falsch, dann ist er sichtlich beleidigt weil die Ur-Weiße nicht akzeptiert wurde, wenn man ein "Helles" bestellt. Dann wird über 30min hinweg bei leeren Gläsern nicht ein einziges Mal gefragt ob es noch etwas sein darf. Zum Abschluss nochmal einen doppelten Espresso beim Dessert vergessen, auf Nachfrage haben wir nochmal 15min gewartet, aber leider nie bekommen. Wir kommen nicht wieder, vermeintlich "freundlich" aber leider unfähig.

Unverändert ein ganz besonderer Italiener. Gerade das unverändert genießen wir sehr. Seit unzähligen Jahren sind herzlicher Empfang, liebevoller Service, romantisches Ambiente und ganz besonders feine Küche die Gründe unseres Wiederkehrens. Jeder von uns hat hier sein Lieblingsgericht. Bei mir ist es unverändert die Zuppa di pesce alla Montanara. Eine kräftige Suppe mit exakt dem richtigen Maß an Schärfe und ebenso perfektem Maß an Fischgeschmack, weit weg von der fischigen Aufdringlichkeit einer französischen Boulliabaise. In diesem kulinarischen Wunderwerk schwimmt eine allerfeinste Auswahl von Meeresfrüchten und Edelfischen gemeinsam mit dem Besten aus der Landwirtschaft um die Wette. Davor hausgemachte Ravioli mt Salbeibutter, danach eine verführerische Zabaione, der süsse Marsala darin weckt schönste Erinnerungen an Tage und Nächte in Sizilien. Bei all diesen Genüssen musste auch eine zweite Flasche Ripasso aus den Langhe daran glauben. Grazie mille

Super restaurant italien, service nickel, ne chercher pas de pizza yen a pas! mais vous trouverez une cuisine italienne excellente et généreuse. La patronne est très gentille et accueillante. Nous avons passé un repas en famille de très bonne qualité. Des plats de viande, poisson et végétarien. Très bon!

Sehr fein. Fein gekochte und abgeschmeckte italienische Spezialitäten und gute Rotweine, Grappa barricato.

Romantische Küche und Bedienung

Locale italiano dall'aspetto caratteristico. Arredamento a tema all'insegna dello storico pinocchio di Collodi. Ma aimé ciò non basta per vantarsi della buona nomea della tradizione culinaria italiana. Il servizio così come la cura nei dettagli delle tavole è di tutto rispetto. Le pietanze sono discrete nella media. In sintesi un locale senza infamia e senza lode.

Das Pinocchio ist in Untere Laube, in 78462 Konstanz, gelegen. Insoweit ist das elegante italienische Restaurant bekannt und beliebt für seine toskanischen Spezialitäten. Außerdem ist das Ambiente sehr angenehm. Ich habe bei meinem letzten Aufenthalt ein gepflegtes Bier getrunken. Darüber hinaus ein Lammkotelett gegessen. Beides war sehr delicious. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und sehr wertvoll. Ich darf diese vortreffliche Adresse gerne weiter empfehlen.

Ich bin beim Pinocchio hin- und hergerissen zwischen 3 und 4 Sternen. Der Service war wirklich sehr gut und daher vier wohlwollende Sterne. Die Einrichtung erscheint mir aus der Zeit gefallen und wie Italiener denken, dass sich Deutsche ein italienisches Restaurant vorstellen. Die offene Weinauswahl fand ich ohne Pfiff, vielleicht wäre der Hauswein tatsächlich besser gewesen. Sehr positiv: Wir durften vorher probieren bevor wir uns entschieden haben. Beim Essen war das Carpaccio leider eine herbe Enttäuschung - eher Schinkenaufschnitt als hauchdünn geschnittene, rohe Scheiben - und guter Parmesan ist brüchig, keine Käserolle. Die anderen Speisen waren in Ordnung wenngleich Pasta in Italien bissfest ist. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich - top. Wenn mein Restaurant allerdings Mitglied in einer Vereinigung italienischer Restaurants ist, die die wahre italienische Küche hochhalten wollen - dann muß die Küche zum Service aufschließen.

Edles Restaurant mit exzellenter Bedienung, Weinempfehlung und Essen.

Die mit Abstand beste Trüffelpasta (handgemachteTrüffelravioli in Trüffelcreme), die ich jemals in meinem Leben essen durfte! Das Restaurant hat einen sehr urigen Flair mit einem wirklich perfekten Service. Ein Besuch hier ist für mich ein Muss, wenn ich mal wieder bei meinem Großeltern zu Besuch bin.

Sehr freundlich begrüßt in Top Arbeitskleidung. Danke. Das Mittagsmenü hätte besser nicht sein können. Auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert ! Einziger Wermutstropfen ist wohl die Damentoilette ( nach Aussage meiner Frau) . Diese benötigt wohl mal wieder etwas handwerkliche Zuneigung. Wir kommen trotzdem wieder !

Sehr leckere, italienische Küche. Es gibt keine Pizza. Das braucht es auch nicht. Dafür gibt es hier Speisen, die nicht auf jeder Standard Speisekarte stehen. Aufmerksamer Service noch dazu.

Gehobenes italienisches Restaurant. Wir hatten bei unserem Besuch hohe Erwartungen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Schneller, freundlicher Service, gutes Essen und schönes Ambiente. Nichts zu beanstanden, kann ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Nicht günstig aber den Preis zahlt man gerne.

Found this fine dining Italian restaurant accidentally and I should say they did not let us down at all with food, ambient and the very mannerd customer service. The owner was very welcoming and payed alot of attention to our needs. The food was exquisite and well presented. Collodi, a tiny Tuscan town that lays claim to something just as famous: Pinocchio and owner explained how their family got into the restaurant business. I wanted to try a t-bone steak but unfortunately they had 2.0 KG steaks available at that time of the week. Michelangelo, the owner took my request as a feedback and said next time if I want to try T-Bone simply let him know 3 days prior to our visit and he will definitely order it from the butcher in Tuscany. I'm looking forward for the reopening ceremony and thank you very much for your lovely service and made Panchali feels so special. PS - The interior decoration of the restaurant gives you a old Tuscany vibe which is brilliantly done. Bravo 👏

Das Pinocchio ist ein alteingesessener Italiener in Konstanz. Das Essen ist gut der Service ist ebenfalls gut. Wir saßen im Gang zur Toilette, es ist sehr eng und durch die Raumakustik auch sehr laut. Eine gute Weinauswahl mit fairen Preisen rundet das Gesamtbild ab.

We enjoyed Pinocchio for New Year’s Dinner. The restaurant is a cosy Italian ( most probably a family business) restaurant :) The menu was rich and tasty. We especially loved the Truffle ravioli & squid carpaccio… The staff were really kind & child friendly ♥️

Mit Abstand der Beste Italiener in Konstanzer - jeder Besuch fühlt sich wie eine kleine Reise nach Italien an. Die Karte hält neben den Klassikern immer wieder neue, saisonale Überraschungen bereit. Der Service ist immer freundlich und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch.
