Pinapple in Dresden

I'm truly shocked by the staff. This afternoon, I reserved a table at the Pineapple for 7:30 p.m. in the neighboring bowling alley with a nice lady. Everything was great. When we arrived on time, despite the almost empty restaurant, the horrible waiter barked at us, telling us we should be prepared to wait... we pointed out that we had reserved for exactly that time. He said no, it says otherwise. If it was entered incorrectly in the system, it can't be held against the guest, and especially not in such a tone. Then he placed two cards on the counter and pointed to a table in the corner. Despite the entrance sign saying "You will be seated," I don't understand service. I can do without such service at these restaurant prices. It was similar about a year ago when we were there with friends... IMPOSSIBLE. Good stars for the ambience. I wouldn't give any for the service...

A local restaurant with cocktails and other good food. Six of us were there and were supposed to sit at a table for four, but another table was promptly added. The service was very friendly and always there.

Today, my boyfriend had a non-alcoholic cocktail (Bird of Paradise) and a delicious pulled pork burger with super crispy fries. I drank a Bird of Paradise and ate a pulled pork bowl. The salad was nice and crispy and fresh, the pulled pork was tender, and the sauce was well-seasoned. The staff are always very friendly and sometimes have a good laugh. Stay the way you are ❤ We'd love to come back 🥰

The food was delicious, but we waited 30 minutes before anyone even came to take our order. The lady greeted us rather rudely with a "Just drinks first!" even though we would have liked to order everything together after the long wait. In total, we ended up with three different servers, and everything seemed disorganized. The prices were a bit higher.

If you like delicious burgers, we highly recommend a visit!

Despite having a reservation, we weren't seated at a free table but were sent outside to wait – and that with a pregnant woman with us. Months before, my wife and friends had been completely ignored and not served. Absolutely disastrous service – never again!

We went to the restaurant for dinner one weeknight. The server was very friendly and took our order promptly. The drinks came quickly. We waited an hour for the food (two burgers and a portion of pasta). I don't think the wait time is appropriate for the meals. Since we wanted to go to the movies afterwards, we didn't manage to finish our meals and couldn't enjoy the food either. Very frustrating. Since this wasn't the first time we've had to wait so long, we won't be coming back.

Awesome place!! Very dedicated staff and excellent cuisine. The burgers are made exclusively with fresh ingredients and with a lot of love. The non-alcoholic cocktails are highly recommended. My steak was incredibly good and cooked to perfection (medium). For dessert, the brownie and ice cream was the absolute highlight. A warm brownie with two scoops of vanilla ice cream. Simply amazing American delicacies. The price/performance ratio is absolutely excellent. We'll be back!!

We were there in the evening with two children. We waited 1.5 hours for two appetizers and a burger, with no indication when ordering. And without asking, it probably would have been even longer. During the entire time, we weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink.

Super fast and friendly service, food absolutely delicious!

On May 15, 2025, around 6 p.m., we spontaneously stopped by Pinapple for dinner with four people (two adults and two children). The service (Marcel and Laura) was very good, attentive, and friendly. There was a children's menu with crayons and a little surprise for the kids. The food was truly delicious. We felt at home and would gladly come back. 👍

We were guests in the restaurant on April 21, 2025 with 13 people. Our waitress was very nice, quick and flexible when ordering food. We all enjoyed it very much and the portions were very large. The children's meals were also large portions. At the end there was even a delicious surprise for our “birthday child”. Thank you for that.

Typical diner... interior, food and design. The prices are very German and not for small wallets, although still OK. Depending on the staff, the service is sometimes very nice, good and friendly and sometimes a bit inattentive.

The service was incredibly unfriendly and took a very long time. Unfortunately, it wasn't what we had expected before. The food wasn't adequate for the money. A lot of it wasn't cooked through and could have been left for a few minutes longer.

The Pineapple restaurant in Dresden impresses with delicious German-American cuisine, juicy steaks, large burgers and a cozy atmosphere. Super tasty burger, nice diner/pub atmosphere. No long waiting times, good service. Only the coleslaw didn't convince me. (Too dry, not enough mayonnaise/sauce.) The normal side salad is great for that.

The three of us spontaneously wanted to have dinner here. The first question at the entrance was whether we had reserved. When we said no, we were immediately sent away. We just wanted to eat and then go home, not sit any longer. But we didn't get that far. Then, dear restaurateurs, don't complain if you're feeling bad. If you can afford to send customers away... you won't see us again.

A beautiful restaurant with outstanding service and an excellent menu. The dishes are creative, tasteful and perfectly prepared. Absolutely recommended!

We had reserved. When we entered we weren't shown to our table, but were told where we should sit. We never got a menu, but read the menu from the online presence to each other since we were still ignored 10 minutes after we sat down. Our table neighbors then gave us one of their menus. After 20 minutes our order was taken. We were then told that the waiting time would be 45 to 60 minutes, which we accepted due to the lack of alternatives. Two tables that came after us were allowed to order before us and then received their food before us. Our food actually came after 55 minutes (there were only three of us). The burgers and fries were ok, but the shrimp salad (called a "bowl") was ridiculous. The Caesar salad dressing tasted incredibly strongly of garlic and was therefore inedible. The shrimp were raw! I specially ordered this dish as gluten-free and had regular garlic bread on the side. Simply nonsensical. In addition, there just seemed to be far too few service staff. All in all, unfortunately a very sobering experience. We won't be coming back.

We used to eat here very often and we only have good memories of it. Yesterday we wanted to eat delicious burgers and the like again for a long time. Unfortunately an absolute disappointment. The food was carelessly prepared and lukewarm. The ribs are seasoned with a BBQ sauce. We couldn't eat them. All very unfortunate. What happened here? Sorry...we won't be coming back. The service staff also ensure that guests leave. Without a reservation, people are sent away with the information that they would have to wait about 1.5 hours for their food.

Well, it all looks nice and friendly, but the guys here were a bit under stress and our fries were not warm, so to say euphemistically :).

Apparently service is a big problem here! Not just judging by the reviews, but also personally experienced it today. At the beginning everything was ok, but once the drinks and food were served, so was the service. No one asked if anyone else wanted something to drink, and even after we had long since finished eating, we continued to be successfully ignored. After a while we just got up and went to the front to pay. We probably could have just left... We know that the restaurant has an acute personnel problem (as we work in the business myself), but behavior like this is really tough. No service, but then brazenly asking for a tip - FOR WHAT?

90% of the joint is empty, "sorry were only working with the 2 of us." Okay, so? It's not that difficult. I like an Oreo milkshake, we're out of milkshakes... Sure you are. Okay chicken nuggets with bacon on the side. Sorry can't do that. Bro, go cry me a river, if you can't run a restaurant; just quit. Sending people away, telling you ran out, it's far from the American way. Let the East-German mentality go, because this wil ruin your joint. As a costumer i dont need your horseshit of who's sick and who's not.

Went here for dinner last night before bowling. Had the citrus salad with shrimps and the chilli con carne with cheese gratin. So it just seemed a bit listless, the salad was quite simple, just 5 small mini shrimps and no trace of citrus anywhere and the "lemon/citrus shrimps" didn't taste like it. Vinaigrette was a bit very thick, but the taste was okay Yes, I didn't expect that much from the restaurant in the bowling, but I think it's a joke to sell the salad for €17.90 You can also do the Chilli Con Carne as a starter for €6.90 and the price is reasonable. Service could be a little more accommodating, no hello just handed out the cards. The ambience is actually really okay, you could really do something with it. So for me personally, the sign is an absolute no go: for every 5☆ Google rating there are one round shots.... that's exactly why I'm doing the rating here. ....

The food is very tasty, the crunchy chicken burger does what it promises, and the fries are fresh and well seasoned. Highly recommended if you want to eat in Elbe Park

Two people were there for almost an hour. The taste was okay, a bit narrow portion of meat in the steak and too many fries for about 22 euros. The service was a bit excited and didn't miss the opportunity to ask for a tip when the bill was over 60 euros ;D (they would have given something like that too)

We were here today (11/23/24) and used the child free area. At the beginning, of course, we had the service to ourselves and it was really nice and helpful. The experience was noticeable and he immediately found the right connection with us. The drinking came promptly, as did the food. Hassle-free, nice, clean, delicious. Thank you

We wanted to eat something after bowling last night. 3 adults and 2 children (9 years) We were told that it would take about 35 minutes for the food to arrive, so we looked at each other to make arrangements and were literally dismissed from the restaurant with the words “Then I'm sorry, have fun at McDonalds”. You may want to reconsider your choice of service staff because the colleague's manner was already noticed negatively at a colleague's farewell party a few months ago.

It's a Sunday evening and my wife and I still enjoying the atmosphere of this place. Really cosy booths to sit in, a lot of American culture on the walls and overall a very good experience. Double bacon burger was really good, would just ask for medium made patties next time though. The veggie burger my wife can highly recommend and the fries are nice and crisp. The Radeberger Beer was perfectly poured from the tap. Waiters are super nice, polite and offer a great service. Kitchen did a great job as well. Thanks and keep it up this way! We'll come back for sure.

Here we ordered, excellent spare ribs (500 gr.) with perfect fries of course, ne' Bowl 'Hasselback' (lush salad/vegetarian), also very tasty, with an excellent dressing. Plus two Radler beers, which were served by “our” good-humored and funny, charming young man. The bowling alley, right next door, can be a little annoying due to the background noise. Then just look for a place at the front. We look forward to next time :-)
