Gasthof Coschütz in Dresden

We were guests at the restaurant. The food was excellent, the host was friendly and cheerful, and the prices were reasonable. Thank you very much, and see you next time.

If you want to eat well but are otherwise patient with the service and treatment of the host (because the host is king, not the guest), this isn't a bad option. Either you go all out, or you're not really welcome.

We only visited the restaurant. The food was delicious, as always. There was also a seasonal special menu featuring chanterelle mushroom dishes, as well as special desserts that were personally recommended to us. The service was friendly and attentive and summarized all orders in their own words to ensure everything was recorded and there were no misunderstandings. We would be happy to come back.

We spent the weekend with friends at the Gasthof Coschütz. Delicious food, comfortable rooms, friendly service, and a very attentive chef. We'll be happy to come back on our next visit to Dresden. Thank you, Alex and Robert

Very simple, but not cheap. At 10 p.m., the doors are locked and the lights are turned off, even though we were still sitting outside as guests. What was even more unbelievable, however, was that we were kicked out of an 85th birthday party at 10 p.m.! No more drinks were served. Then the lights were turned out both inside and outside, so the 80-year-olds had to go down the stairs in pitch darkness! One guest almost fell but was lucky to catch himself. Hospitality is different!! The food is so-so. There's little passion. They're trying to make money, it's a cheap version everywhere. What a shame! We won't be back.

When the Gerd Buckan family still ran the hotel, everything was perfect: friendly, and the food was of the highest quality. The price/performance ratio was perfect, unlike now. No guests on Thursday evenings, and after 10 p.m., staff with limited language skills. Forgettable price/performance ratio. I organized a large party on Saturday. Everyone was disappointed with the food. Drinks and service were fine. Some of the food came from the freezer; I can't recommend it. In any case, the change of ownership was a bad decision. We had dinner here today. The inn is very quiet and not far from Karlsruter Straße in Dresden. The guest room is very comfortable and well-kept. There is a very large selection of food and drinks on the memory card. We chose wild. The food was really wonderful and not to forget... Very nice and pleasant service. Highly recommended and we would love to come back. 👍

We had lunch at the Gasthof Coschütz today after a funeral service. The menu offered solid home-style cooking and game dishes. We spontaneously (unfortunately) opted for a dish advertised as the daily special: venison loin and wild boar loin with mushroom ragout and potato croquettes. Only the croquettes were convincing, although we assume they were only frozen. Both the venison and wild boar were dry and tough. Upon request, we were later served gravy in a sauceboat. Overall, we weren't satisfied with the meal. Much more sobering, however, was the price we paid for lunch, including drinks. For the meal alone (5 x 38.90), we paid €194.50. We were completely shocked. Charging €4.10 for a hot lemon is outrageous, to say the least. What justifies that price? We were charged an additional €4.20 for the gravy. All in all, 270 euros for five people, which we felt was completely unjustified. We wouldn't recommend it.

We ate very well and were served very friendly.

We were accommodated on the basement-like ground floor for 136 euros per night. Carpeting and furnishings estimated to be from the 1990s. Unfortunately it wasn't really clean either. Furthermore, we were never informed that the restaurant was closed on Sunday evenings. We communicated that we were traveling through with a baby - such information would be appropriate! There wasn't even a bottle of water in the room. The price-performance ratio is shameful.

We were invited to Christmas dinner and nothing was mentioned when we made the reservation by phone and the information was only made known on site that there was only a buffet, for a slim 39eur pp. the cheese plate was completely torn and was not put back together. The table was still dirty from previous guests and overturned napkins from the same ones had been put back up again. The goose, duck and game were good in my opinion, but the quality of the schnitzel, vegetables and side dishes did not match the quality mentioned above. The service made the best of the situation and tried to cushion everything. The 0.5l beer (Rubin) for 6.6eur are almost Oktoberfest prices. Due to the sheer mass of people, the volume of the Oktoberfest was in no way inferior. Nothing can be said about the hotel features.

I was eating there again after a break of a few years, I've known the inn for about 40 years, Everything was fine so far, but increasingly cheap frozen food was being prepared (the list of additives under the dishes speaks for itself), plus smaller portions for a high price. Tip to the house, bring your kitchen back to its old standard, it is certainly difficult to get good staff for the kitchen. Service and drinks ok. Easily accessible by car and parking spaces are sufficient and free.

Very tasty, highly recommended. I had venison goulash, very tender, red cabbage perfect and dumplings were clearly homemade! (Get wild goulash! XD)

We had dinner there for a birthday. The chairs were very uncomfortable, otherwise the room was pretty. The drinks were very good. The food was rather mixed. For some it was only lukewarm, overall there was very little, and for the game dishes there was extremely little chopped meat. The “dessert menu” only served ice cream. Overall, the price-performance ratio was simply bad. The prices are extremely high and there was nothing outstanding. When we expressed our criticism in a friendly manner, the owner was offended and didn't come back and sent another waitress. There was no offer of a free coffee or any price concession, instead we weren't even said goodbye. Very sobering.

Unfortunately, the inn is getting old and the staff is missing. The food is tasty though if you can find something because the menu is very limited and there are few vegetarian options and almost no vegan options.

I had work in the area and always felt very comfortable in this inn. No matter when you come, the boss is always friendly. The breakfast is lovingly served and the warm meals are really delicious.

We didn't stay overnight, just had dinner, so I can't say anything about the rooms. But the food is very tasty. Down-to-earth cuisine, very well implemented. Gladly again.

We were invited to an 80th birthday party. All I can say is “everything is perfect”. Everyone enjoyed the food, whether fish or meat, and drinks were never out of stock. We didn't stay overnight. We would be happy to come again.

Food is fresh and very tasty. Unfortunately the prices are very high but the portions are relatively small. Schnitzel with asparagus was very tasty, but I don't think it's appropriate for just 4 asparagus spears for just under €30.

It was a short booking. Everything fine. The evening's cuisine was very tasty. The breakfast was more than enough. There was no saving on coffee. Someone thought about it. The facility is clean or Freshly renovated.

Unsere Familienfeier im Restaurant „Gasthof Coschütz“, bleibt uns leider mit einem bitteren Nachgeschmack in Erinnerung. Wir haben das Restaurant für eine Familienfeier ausgesucht und im Vorfeld eine konkrete gastronomische Absprache mit dem Chef des Hauses getroffen. Unsere Kellnerin am Abend war sehr fleißig und kompetent, das Essen durchaus gut. Als dann schließlich die Rechnung gemacht wurde, stellten wir fest, dass der abgesprochene Preis von dem auf der Rechnung um sage und schreibe 36 % Differenz zu unseren Ungunsten ausfiel. Der uns in Rechnung gestellte Buffetpreis entsprach dann bei weitem in keiner Weise der Qualität des Buffets. Selbst Kinder wurden nicht berücksichtigt. Die Erklärung dafür war äußert unprofessionell und inakzeptabel. Angeblich wären die Kosten seit unserer Absprache gestiegen und er wäre mit dem abgesprochenen Preis nicht hingekommen. Es gab keinen Versuch das durch einen Anruf mit uns im Vorfeld zu klären. Wozu trifft man dann überhaupt Absprachen, wenn dann willkürlich Preise gemacht werden, ohne dass man noch eine Wahl hat sich anders zu entscheiden. So ein Verhalten ist absolut unseriös und ein schlechtes Gefühl bleibt zurück. Aus diesem Grund können wir das Restaurant auf keinen Fall weiterempfehlen. Wer Enttäuschungen vermeiden möchte, sollte besser nach Alternativen in unserer Stadt Ausschau halten, die auf eine kompetente und verlässliche Serviceleistung setzen.

Unfortunately, we remember our family celebration in the “Gasthof Coschütz” restaurant with a bitter aftertaste. We chose the restaurant for a family celebration and made specific gastronomic arrangements with the head of the house in advance. Our waitress in the evening was very hard-working and competent, and the food was quite good. When the invoice was finally made, we discovered that the agreed price was a whopping 36% different from the price on the invoice to our disadvantage. The buffet price we were charged did not correspond in any way to the quality of the buffet. Even children were not taken into account. The explanation for this was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. Apparently the costs had increased since we agreed and he wouldn't have been able to get the agreed price. There was no attempt to clarify this by calling us in advance. Why do you make agreements at all if prices are set arbitrarily without you having any choice to make a different decision? Such behavior is absolutely dubious and leaves you with a bad feeling. For this reason we cannot recommend the restaurant under any circumstances. If you want to avoid disappointment, you should look for alternatives in our city that offer competent and reliable service.

We went here for lunch today with my mother-in-law. The food was excellent! Fresh asparagus, crispy schnitzel, great dessert! The Secice friendly, humorous and fast. We're happy to pay a little more for that. We'll be back soon.

Da wir den Gasthof Coschütz von früher sehr gut in Erinnerung hatten, haben wir ihn mal wieder aufgesucht. Am Ende waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Zum Einen war die Wartezeit auf das Essen sehr lang. Die Beilagen, wie Pilze waren Dosennahrung und keine frischen wie angegeben. Die Qualität der Speisen entspricht nicht den Preisen. Die Sauberkeit der Damentoilette entsprach ungefähr dem Niveau einer Autobahntoilette.

My family members loved their stay at the Gasthof! They were visiting us from America. We live very close by, so it was the perfect place for them to stay. The rooms were very comfortable (especially as some of my family members fell ill and spent a day or two in the rooms instead of joining us in our apartment). They enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet. We spent one evening together at the restaurant to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and the food and service were lovely. Thank you for making our family reunion extra special!

The restaurant still exudes some old-fashioned charm, just like an inn. Everything very clean. Our waitress competent and quick. The three stars are mainly because of the price structure. We were guests in December, so still 7% on food. The duck leg with baked apple and dumpling costs €32.90, which is really very expensive. What shocked me personally even more was the price for a 0.4l Kiba, namely €6.40. I only paid for my consumption, which is hardly possible for a family with children. Is that why there were only 8 people other than us in the restaurant for dinner shortly before Christmas?

The restaurant can be highly recommended. Good menu with something for every taste, friendly staff, food freshly prepared and very tasty, ambience is ok, a bit outdated, restaurant clean and tidy. We'd love to come back. Parking spaces in the yard.

Great team! I was a guest here for a week and felt very comfortable. The dishes, especially the Saxon ones, were simply delicious and prepared with love. I will definitely come here again.

Beef soup with addition as a starter - I can make the broth tastier in every Alpine pasture. Insert meant 2 seemingly counted meatballs (same for all 3 soups). I've eaten steak au four much better as a main course. Otherwise service, hospitality everything was good. I can't rate the room.

Der Gasthof Coschütz ist schon immer ein Anlaufpunkt für Familienfeiern aller Art für unsere Familie. Das Gebäude gehört zum alten Kern von Coschütz. Innen ist es sauber ordentlich - gastlich. Als Gast ist man hier nie allein, was sicher die gute Küche begründet. Alle Gerichte - gut bürgerlich, klingen super lecker und sind preislich normal. Die vegetarischen Gerichte kommen etwas kurz, da dürfte der Chef de cuisine gern noch etwas Bandbreite nachlegen... (aber die Penne mit dem Rucola Pesto - die nussig, salzige Süße - lecker)! Zu erwähnen: Der Espresso... Lecker. Selten habe ich in Gaststätten so einen ausgewogenen Espresso bekommen! Weiter so! Wir bleiben Gäste...

Schöne Gaststätte mit Tradition. Auch der neue Besitzer bringt leckere Speisen auf den Tisch 😉 Der Inhaber - Wechsel ist geglückt! Besuche diese Gaststätte schon seit Jahrzehnten und bin immer zufrieden und mit einem guten Sättigungsgefühl nach Hause gegangen. Was will man mehr 👍🌞

Sehr schön gelegen und lecker Essen. Wir hatten hier einen Geburtstag gefeiert. Der Saal ist sehr schön. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hatte schnell und zuverlässig bedient.

Schönes Lokal , ich kenne es aus meiner Kindheit. Aber was die Preise betrifft einfach überteuert , dass geht gar nicht!! Ein Schweineschnitzel für 25€ ? Ich war lange in der Gastronomie, da bekomme ich ein Wiener Schnitzel vom Kalb natürlich für den Preis .

Die beste Bedienung die ich je hatte. Jeder Besuch lohnt sich. Super leckeres Essen. Und wunderschöne Zimmer. Wenn ihr in Dresden seit übernachtet hier.

Ich war seit vielen Jahren mal wieder im Gasthof Coschütz. Das Ambiente im gemütlichen Biergarten war wieder sehr schön. Es ist ruhig, wenn man möchte findet man schattige Plätze unter den Bäumen. Die Bedienung war nett und zuvorkommend. Allerdings haben mich die Preise abgeschreckt. Das 0,5 er Bier für über 6 € und auch die Preise für die Speisen, finde ich nicht gerechtfertigt. Sollte sich da an den Preisen nix ändern, werde ich so schnell nicht mehr dort einkehren.

Bierpreise (Feldschlösschen Rubin) jenseits von gut und Böse. Ich hatte den Fehler gemacht vor der Bestellung nicht in die Karte zu schauen... Eigentlich wollten wir den Nachmittag mit Kollegen dort verbringen.Wir sind dann gegangen ohne weitere Sachen zu bestellen. vor solchen Typen sollte gewarnt werden..

Leider ist die Speisekarte sehr eingeschränkt, so daß nicht für jeden Geschmack und vorallem Verträglichkeiten etwas zu finden ist. Das Personal hingegen sehr freundlich und die Küche auf Bitten dann doch flexibel.

Wir waren zu zweit an einem Wochentag dort, das Ambiente ist angenehm, der Kellner sehr freundlich, das Essen war okay, aber mehr auch nicht. Für die Lage weit außerhalb des Stadtzentrums sind die Preise zu hoch. Fast 20 € für ein "Steak au four" sind mir zu viel.

Immer eine Reise mit Übernachtung wert.

Es war ein schöner, gemütlicher Abend, den wir hier mit lieben Menschen verbracht haben. Essen und trinken waren schmackhaft und haben unsere Bäuche voll gemacht. Man kann diesen Gasthof für einen gemütlichen Abend, eine Familienfeier oder einfach für ein schmackhaftes Essen empfehlen.

Ich bin seit Jahren Gast im Gasthof Coschütz. Und ich muss sagen die alten schönen Zeiten sind wohl für immer vorbei. Im Gastraum war es nicht gerade warm. Und die Preise standen nicht im Verhältnis, mit dem was auf dem Teller war, auch die Qualität der Speisen hätte besser sein können.

Auf alle Fälle das Bestes Platz in ganzes Dresden wenn es um Traditionelle Sächsische Küche gibt's,ich kann nicht nachvollziehen die Leute die sich über die Preisen beschweren, sind genauso überall hochgestiegen Das Ambiente und Herz des Gasthoffs so wie das gesamtes Personal ist für mich immer wieder der Grund um zurückzukommen.Kann nur empfehlen.

Heute auf Geocaching-Tour in Coschütz gewesen. Ganz rein zufällig kamen wir da auch an diesem Gasthof vorbei. Und da Mittag war, und wir etwas hungrig waren, kehrten wir ein. Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Schönes Ambiente, netter Service und lecker Essen. Uns hat es gut gefallen und wir kommen gerne wieder. Bitte weiter so!! :-)

Leider hat die Qualität der Speisen deutlich nachgelassen, dafür sind die Preise aber deutlich gestiegen. Schade.
