I can definitely recommend it. Not far from Kottbuser Tor there is a gem with very tasty tapas. Attention: cash payment only

I recently had dinner here with a colleague and we agreed that we hadn't had such a cool evening in a long time! Somehow everything worked out :) the service was super friendly, and the food was so much and so tasty… we'll definitely be back!

An absolute insider tip in Berlin! Rustic, lively atmosphere, a colorful range of delicious tapas and dinners and the team is very nice and always tries hard. It's nice that there's a real, lovingly run restaurant among all the commercial tapas chains.

3 stars are only because of the service! I have been to this restaurant very often over the last 3 years and the food was always great until our last visit. Our last visit was just very disappointing, apart from the pimientos, none of the tapas were at all as tasty as they were back then. Previously the shrimps came in a pan with chili oil, this time the shrimps were almost raw and just bad, other tapas we ordered were only medium quality. As I always expected more from this restaurant, I was very disappointed. It just changed. But the lady was very nice and offered us a 10% discount because of our dissatisfaction, thank you very much for that. But I don't think we'll go there again.

The Pico Tapas Bar in Kreuzberg is an absolute insider tip! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. I would particularly like to highlight the paella – it is simply sensational! Perfectly seasoned, rich in fresh seafood and with the typical slightly crispy rice base that you want. You can tell that a lot of love goes into the preparation here. The tapas are also delicious and offer a great selection. If you want to experience authentic Spanish cuisine in Berlin, you should definitely stop by here!

Authentic and delicious food. Friendly service. But: there doesn't seem to be any heating in the store. Frozen on January 11th, 2025! Blankets were distributed! The guests sat at the table with coats and blankets. It would get warm soon. This was not the case from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. It was cold and especially cold to the feet. I've never felt cold in a restaurant! You shouldn't go there in winter. Seems to be more of a summer location.

We've been big fans of the Picoteo for ages and haven't been here in ages. The restaurant has new owners and quality has now become quality. It was very disappointing and too expensive. The fried anchovies were dry and the crust was soft and limp. The (sizzling) prawns are not served in hot oil and cast pot as before, but in a small tapas bowl. Aioli tasted like almost nothing. The meat (strips with peppers) were dry and inedible. The goat cheese was the only tasty thing but not comparable to the previous version. The music was very loud. The iced teas are made with syrup and that doesn't automatically mean homemade. Very unfortunate. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Some of the food (calamari, sausage) is very salty and some waiters don't care about customers at all. The taste of paella is not bad, but it is a bit soggy. It's a place with a great atmosphere for drinking sangria and wine with a lot of people, but I can't say that the food and service are good either. The sangria was so delicious.

The service is faster than you choosing the menu. I went with 2 friends and we end really full. We order papas bravas(10/10), pimientos verdes (9/10), you. Can’t miss the goat cheese with honey (10/10), chorizo (7/10) Tortilla (8/10) Croqueta (100/10) And the beer really taste! The price is worth it.

Good atmosphere, a place that I would definitely come back with friends to grab beer and a good tapas.The queso de cabra con miel was excellent. Last but not least they give you bread and dip as an appetizers, I love that.

We had a lovely evening and ate well. The service wasn't perfect, but it was charming. But be careful, the menu on the homepage and the prices do not match those on site. In reality the prices are significantly higher.

My friend then wrote a detailed review to explain this, very factual and polite about his experience… now the owners complained to Google for defamation!! Buzzy tapas bar with fab wines. But the food was not as dazzling. It was all okay, nothing too mind blowing. The meatballs were too dry, prawns were okay. The standout element was the aioli. The waitress who served us was super lovely and did not treat us differently despite not being German…

Good service but unfortunately the quality of the dishes leaves something to be desired. We ordered fried chipirones and were brought back very cooked fried sepia rounds with a taste of reused oil for too long. The fish paella tasted like a frozen dish, nothing like what we were used to having before. It’s really a shame that a place like this is deteriorating like this…

Unfortunately no longer at the original level. Since the change of ownership, the fine details have disappeared more and more. There isn't much left of the former insider tip.

Despite many reservations, we still managed to find a place for two people with a dog, the food was great, the service was friendly. Gladly again at any time!

Everything was excellent, save the patatas bravas which need work and better sauce.

The service staff were all extremely friendly and attentive. There is a 2 hour hour rule. After two hours you have to leave. The food was expensive and oily, which I couldn't tolerate.

It's a nice place, but the price-performance ratio is just not right at all. Portions are small, bread costs extra. Invoice splitting not possible. And then only cash? Really?

I was really looking forward to a visit to Tapas Pico in Berlin-Kreuzberg, but unfortunately I was disappointed. The tapas were not only significantly overpriced, but also below average in terms of taste. Both the sangria and the service left a lot to be desired. I paid 100 euros in cash for a small dinner for two people (no card payment) - and left the restaurant still hungry. I found it particularly annoying that not even bread or baguettes were served with the tapas.

I wanted to like this place but the Tapas were super overpriced and horribly mid (8€-10€/plate). Wine and service were equally mid (7,50€/glass/pre-poured at the bar. Yikes). Bartender yelling at wait staff, screwing up orders, customers were waiting impatiently, the waiters seemed overwhelmed despite it being 3/4 full. Try the sandwiches next door at Goldadelux.

Nice restaurant and great service, but no card payment possible. So that one person holds the position at the table while the other looks for an ATM. This greatly marred what was otherwise a lovely experience.

While the ambiance was great, the food and wine were mediocre. We ordered a red wine that came very warm in a carafe and wasn't good. The majority of the food was just okay, and while the paella was good in combination with everything else it wasn't anything special. Fun experience, but we won't be back.

I love tapas, but I was very disappointed by this spot. My dining companion for this meal is a pescatarian, and there were very limited options beyond patatas bravas or potatoes in other formats. The food we did order was very mediocre. Our server was borderline rude when we asked to split a bottle of wine--maybe because we are two women? Our meal was also much more expensive than other, much better meals we had in Berlin.

Here you can If you're single, definitely don't go out to eat, you're only tolerated for 1 hour, it smells like a tourist trap, all the tables are reserved, no one is there?? And no card payment, you also have to be a Lilliputian at the small tables, who knows what the food would have been like, just bad for Berlin...

On a beautiful summer day we visited the tapas bar and sat outside. The atmosphere was pleasant and the weather was perfect for sitting outside. The selection of dishes was impressive and every single one we tried was extremely tasty. From classic tapas to creative variations, the cuisine really impressed us. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly service. The staff was always attentive and courteous, which made our visit even more pleasant. The prices were reasonable and we found the price-performance ratio absolutely fine. A small downside was the terrace, which could have been a little better maintained. Still, this didn't significantly impact our overall experience. Overall, we can definitely recommend the Tapas Bar and will definitely come back.

Good food and atmosphere but service a bit slack

We were here for the first time last year and absolutely loved it! It was such a perfect evening that we really recommended this restaurant permanently. We were all the more excited about yesterday - unfortunately it was an absolute disappointment! If we had known beforehand that the owner had changed, we wouldn't have gone. The food and the service are absolutely no longer comparable: Our waiter radiated complete listlessness and a bad mood that you increasingly lost interest in the evening. The quality of the food has deteriorated significantly. The taste is just average and just plain slapped on. The tapas also came very late, so you couldn't eat them so nicely together anymore. The pork fillet Iberico was very dry and the rib-eye steak with chimichurri was initially served raw and, when told, put back in the pan, slapped completely through (instead of pink) on the plate and brought back to the table in annoyance. It was just an absolute disappointment! To top it off, a maximum of mediocre musicians came into the store, which meant that conversation was no longer possible. It's a shame that when ownership changes, the ratings aren't also set to zero, because that way those interested are misled.

Went here for a date night and had a fantastic time! Highly suggest getting 3 dishes per person plus the bread basket, and it will turn out to be a good amount of food. Really great location aesthetically, attentive staff and great food!

Was there yesterday with a friend. I've been eating out all over Berlin several times a month for years and enjoy trying things out. We really liked it at picoteo yesterday: they were very charming and accommodating to us and gave us a nice table outside. And so we sat with finely seasoned seafood and the right wine accompaniment and enjoyed a beautiful, mild spring evening. I will gladly come again…

We had an incredibly nice evening, with a large group, not only were we served quickly, but the quality of the food as well as the service was fantastic. Especially Theresa, an incredibly good, friendly and charming service person, made us feel as if we were at home!

Service was attentive and kind. The food was very good. Would recommend for groups.

The seat reservations were a bit disorganized for many guests (including us), so some seats were a bit tight or some were simply added to a table that was already occupied. Not everyone likes it. The food was tasty, but didn't blow us away either. Some of the prices do. Will try another tapas bar soon.

Not great, sangria needs improvement, pisco sour doesn't work at all - food is ok, but the service isn't particularly attentive. It's a shame, Spanish/Portuguese evening didn't work out that way.

Food is fine, but everything else was bad. Waited for ages, "house wine" ended up costing 42€, we had to repeatedly ask different workers to get more wine and water glasses as we only got 2/6. We finally got 5/6 wine glasses after 30min and we got the water glasses after we were done with our meal. The waiter was rude and unhelpful. When it was time to pay he stood next to us and pressured us. Complaining that he had work to do and no time for this. Would have been great to see him so eager to work earlier in the night. We won't be coming back as it was an unacceptable experience from a place that used to be good.

The atmosphere is nice but it used to be much better. Tapas and drinks were mediocre at best. We ordered a first round of croquetas de jamon and they were nice but the second time it was clearly some frozen food from the supermarket and for 4.50€ each which is crazy high (it used to be 3€ just last year). No tap water even after ordering a lot of drinks and food, pushy on tips. Overall 125€ for 5 tapas, 2 desserts and 5 glasses of the vinho verde and in all this…. cash only -_-

An absolute no-go restaurant! The waiter paid no attention to the guests we had to wait 15 mins to order. What's worse is that he even noted our orders wrong so that we didn't get all the tapas we ordered. The atmosphere of the place is also horrible as the waiters was running in the restaurant and started to fighting with each other. It was not comfortable and relaxed to seat there. The tapas was also extremely expensive for the quality and quantity. 8€ for 5 paprika is just ridiculous. All in all I wouldn't recommend this place there are more tapas restaurants in Berlin with better price and much better service.

Unfortunately we were misled by the good reviews. I don't even know exactly where to start. Things didn't start off so well because there didn't seem to be enough cards for all the guests and we had to wait to study the card. When we finally got a card, we quickly noticed that the prices didn't match those on the website and were even higher. Here we are now moving into a realm beyond good and evil. Over 7 euros for a few fried peppers. You have to let that melt in your mouth. Cost of goods probably less than one euro. The whole service was always very hectic and there was no cozy atmosphere. Our order was taken very quickly and not too friendly. Of the 5 tapas we ordered, two came first, then our bread with aioli came later (extremely small portion of aioli, which wasn't enough for the whole bread, even if we used it sparingly). Then two tapas were brought that we hadn't ordered and our last tapa was forgotten and not served even when asked. During our entire stay, food from the kitchen was repeatedly carried outside and then back again because the person who ordered it could not be found. One might think that it would be worth taking a little more time when taking the orders... The icing on the cake was a loud argument between the employees. Regarding the quality of the food: Two tapas were quite tasty, the Boquerones fritos were clearly in the deep fryer for too long and I've eaten the pimientos better. In the end we had a tapa on our bill that we had neither ordered nor been served. And of course you couldn't pay by card. Welcome to 2024. Once and never again.

Great place, perfect food, reasonable price

As a Spaniard, I am ashamed that there are places like this. It makes me sad that a German relates the Spanish hospitality industry to this. A jug of sangria 28 euros. But what drug did you take when you made the prices? A plate of Manchego cheese 8 euros. 4 pieces of cheese that were so thin you could make a paper airplane with them. The croquettes... anyway. I don't know if these people have ever eaten croquettes in their lives. Obviously the bread was neither there nor expected. Ah! And we ordered a bottle of wine and they don't open it at the table!!!! They bring us a glass jug with the wine. Who do you want to fool?

If there was an option to put a zero star , I would do so . Perhaps someone should choose to visit this place if only he/she is a native German speaker or wishes to practise Spanish. We tried to order but the waiter didn’t speak English and made no effort at all to help showing his boredom,how helpful is this really ? Makes someone feel unwelcome from the first place . Tapas were nothing special and very expensive as well . Keep in mind that they do not accept card payment and you pay only by cash. The waiter didn’t bring us the change and we had to ask for it , how embarrassing and pathetic. There are endless options in this city to go and enjoy your meal , this is not one for sure.

The food is nothing special, the goat cheese smells awfully, so does the plate with sausages (cut in pieces like salami,not real sausages)and ham. Patatas bravas are not bravas in any way The waitress speaks only Spanish, shows no interest in helping a customer to order and the worst part is that he didn t bring the change, we had to ask for it, are we serious ? Noisy atmosphere, make yourself a favor and eat somewhere else ! Berlin has so many nice places

Small but nice restaurant, good staff and service. Unfortunately it's a bit cramped and the tables in front of the counter, well, don't necessarily invite you to linger for a long time, there's a lot of traffic and the counter operation is a bit of a hindrance, but that's okay without a reservation and for spontaneous people. Tastes typical and absolutely nothing to complain about. Decent selection of food and drinks. The price is probably typical for the industry, but a tad too much for me. Conclusion: you can do it!
