Pico Tapas-Bar in Berlin

Der Service war unfreundlich und langsam. Wir warteten 40 Minuten auf ein Dessert und mussten dreimal danach fragen. Unser Kellner wies unsere Anfrage jedes Mal ab. Als es endlich kam, war es eiskalt (es war übrigens Crema Catalana). Ich kann viele andere authentische iberische Restaurants in Berlin empfehlen.

Das ist leider nicht mehr der selbe Laden, den wir als picoteo kannten und sehr mochten. Tapas sind allenfalls solide, Bedienung zwar nett, aber sehr chaotisch. So leider nicht mehr zu empfehlen.

Es hat einfach alles gepasst! Super nette Bedienung,leckeres Essen,super schönes Ambiente!Wir kommen wieder! 😊

Die Tapas sind im Allgemeinen gut, aber die Paella war ziemlich salzig. Leider wird nur Bargeld akzeptiert.

Wir hatten hier neulich Tapas und die waren super lecker! Im Vergleich zu anderen Lokalen sind die Portionen auch ein wenig größer, sodass wir eigentlich nur 3 pro Person gebraucht hätten. Service und Ambiente sind auch sehr gut.

Wir warteten fast eine Stunde auf die Paella, nur um sie dann komplett verbrannt zu bekommen – nicht nur leicht gebräunt, sondern pechschwarz. Zuerst erklärte uns der Kellner, dass man die Paella normalerweise nicht wendet, man den Boden also sowieso nicht sehen würde und der verbrannte Teil „nicht zum Essen gedacht“ sei. Dann kam der Koch und bestand darauf, dass dies völlig normal sei und Paella in Spanien so zubereitet werde. Er versuchte sogar, uns zu überreden, sie so zu essen. Nach einigem Hin und Her nahmen sie das Gericht zurück und sagten, sie könnten es in 10 Minuten neu zubereiten, was für eine richtige Paella schon fragwürdig klang. Tatsächlich warteten wir weitere 30 Minuten, und das zweite Gericht kam roh an; der Reis schmeckte, als käme er direkt aus der Packung. Wir hatten ehrlich gesagt den Eindruck, dass es ihnen mehr darum ging, Beschwerden zu unterdrücken, als wirklich an der Zufriedenheit der Gäste interessiert zu sein. Wir verließen das Restaurant hungrig, schlecht gelaunt und mit dem Gefühl, zwei Stunden verschwendet zu haben. Ich würde diesen Ort definitiv nicht empfehlen, es sei denn, man hat extrem viel Zeit und Geld übrig.

Nach langer Zeit waren wir mal wieder hier und mussten feststellen, dass die Eigentümer gewechselt haben. Damals spanische Gastfreundschaft, gestern wurden wir von einer Person mit einem AirPod im Ohr bedient. Das Essen mittelmäßig, die Preise dafür recht hoch. Die Aubergine war in Fett getränkt und dann nochmal frittiert, von diesem Gericht würde ich stark abraten. Gambas waren hingegen sehr gut. Ich verstehe nicht ganz, wieso ihr einfach drei Buchstaben im neuen Namen weglasst? Damit es so rüberkommt als sei es der gleiche Laden ? Leider eine enttäuschende Erfahrung :(

Es ist sehr gut, aber etwas teuer.

7,50 € für diese lächerliche Menge mieser Oliven mit einem Stück Zitrone sind eine der größten Abzocke in dieser Stadt. Ich gehe da nie wieder hin und hoffe, dass sie dichtmachen und etwas Anständiges aufmachen.

Tolles Essen und super Atmosphäre, aber der Service war wirklich schlecht. Es dauerte ewig, bis wir bestellen konnten. Nach den Tapas (die wirklich lecker waren) bestellten wir ein Dessert. Nachdem niemand kam, fragten wir 30 Minuten lang nach der Rechnung (da es unmöglich war, die Aufmerksamkeit des Kellners zu erregen). Die Desserts standen dann aber doch auf der Rechnung 🙄. Der Kellner meinte nur, es sei zu voll, dabei war das Restaurant gar nicht voll. Nur hingehen, wenn man seeeehr viel Zeit hat.

Das Essen ist nicht mehr ganz frisch. Der Service ist schnell und aufmerksam. Der Garten ist schön.

Sehr lecker und gemütlich, um mit Freunden zu den für ein Tapas-Restaurant moderaten Preisen zu essen. Besonders schön ist es, draußen unter den Bäumen zu sitzen. Allerdings nur Barzahlung.

Es war absolut köstlich und magisch, vor allem, weil am Mittwoch eine spanische Band live spielte!

Angenehme Atmosphäre, aber das Kartoffelomelett und die Spinatkroketten waren trocken. Der Ziegenkäse mit Honig war köstlich.

Das Essen ist wirklich gut. Preislich eher gehoben - aber inzwischen in Berlin normal. Punktabzug gibt es für die fehlende Kartenzahlung. Es wird zwar deutlich kommuniziert "Cash Only" - aber wenn man wie ich gestern das Bargeld trotzdem vergessen hat und noch mal zum Automaten muss ist es einfach lästig. It's 2026!

Mittelmäßige Tapas. Wenig authentisches Essen. Alles etwas belanglos.

Zum Valentinstag haben wir dieses Restaurant ausgewählt. Wir bestellten verschiedene Tapas, die zwischen 6 und 14 Euro kosten. Geschmacklich waren die Tapas sehr gut. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die Champignons, die eine perfekte Konsistenz hatten und nicht zu weich waren, sowie die Patatas, die zwar nicht sehr knusprig, dafür aber angenehm weich und perfekt zum Dippen und Essen waren. Das Steak „Medium“ war leider an manchen Stellen etwas zu schwarz, geschmacklich jedoch in Ordnung. Empfehlung: „Well-done“ als „Medium“ bestellen. Preis-Leistungs-technisch wurden wir inklusive Getränken mit 61 Euro abgerechnet, was vollkommen in Ordnung ist. Daher auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!

Endlich mal wieder hier gewesen. Wir mussten ca 25 Minuten auf Brot, Aioli und Oliven warten. Hatten bei der Kellnerin nachgefragt und bekamen einen blöden Spruch an den Kopf geworfen. Um es kurz zu machen: Essen TOP und Service FLOP.

Zum ersten Mal heute da gewesen und wir waren alle mehr als happy. Klein, aber fein. Tapas - suoer gut ! Es hat uns sehr, sehr gut gefallen. Vielen Dank !

Es war wirklich sehr gut! Das Essen ist sowieso immer lecker und schön angerichtet. Das Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Im Sommer kan man schön draußen sitzen und im Winter kann man gemütlich drinnen essen. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne hier her 👌🏼

Die leckersten Tapas in Deutschland

Wir kommen regelmäßig hier her und sind jedes Mal super happy. Ob in kleiner Gruppe, oder auch in großer (habe hier schonmal meinen Geburtstag gefeiert), wir freuen uns jedes Mal über gutes Essen und gute Stimmung. Wenn man Glück hat, bekommt man sogar live Musik zu hören. Zu dritt zahlen wir mit Hauswein idR zwischen 90-100€. In großer Gruppe gab es ein vorgefertigtes Menü, welches auch individuell angepasst werden konnte. Wir freuen uns schon aufs nächste Mal! 😊

You can't pay by card, only cash, which is a bit annoying considering it's almost 2026... anyway, the waitress was lovely! With live music and everything. Change the "cash only" policy, it's unacceptable!! Do you get paid in cash?? Some of the tapas are a bit small for the price, like the croquette. The tortilla was delicious!!

Let's start with the positives: it's a cute and welcoming place, with an intimate and relaxed atmosphere, aided by the candlelight, making it definitely a place worth relaxing in after a day spent exploring Berlin. The prices are also fair, and the menu is varied, with tapas options for all tastes and dietary needs. There are also a few small, less positive points: they only accept cash payments, which should at least be mentioned when booking, especially since there are no ATMs nearby. In a European capital, I find this anachronistic. The tip was taken by default from the change, without asking. Finally, I don't believe the owners are Spanish, and none of the waiters speak Spanish either, so this, and some details about the dishes (the alli olli, the olives, the lack of pan y tomate on the menu) make me think of a place that isn't exactly "authentic." In any case, the overall experience is positive.

Great tapas bar! A return for me after a few years. The food was delicious, particularly the baby squid with garlic and the waitress was super hospitable and attentive. Very nice staff and the space equally warm and vibrant. 🤗🔥

It is only cash, despite it is a proper restaurant which is already so annoying. We came as a big group of people, 13 people, they brought us many meals that we didnt order at all. They forced and argued with us that we ordered steaks and we are vegetarians… horrible service…

It is very surprising to see that even the restaurants still don’t accept card payments.

I am very disappointed. I wanted my friend to try our food and everything arrived completely cold. The potatoes were soggy, the sauce spilled all over the bag because it wasn't properly packaged, the food was completely cold, and the portions were different from the description and photos. There are very few restaurants with our cuisine, please be proud of it.

Only had a Cortado and a Catalan Crème...but super friendly service, great atmosphere...and...SEE YOU AGAIN👍😉

I really had hoped for more and remembered the restaurant as being much better. Paella doesn't have salmon or overly dry beef, and the other tapas also have a lot of room for improvement. Service also only deserves two stars; it's quite unfriendly; the café con leche with sour milk was included in the bill.

Has the restaurant changed hands? It's still pleasant! The Piemontese cheeses are excellent!

I had to update this review from all 5 stars- I used to really like this restaurant and always had good experiences, which is why I chose it to celebrate my birthday. I booked a table for 8 (the system doesn’t allow more) and noted in the comments that we would be 10 and explicitly booked a table outside with an email confirmation afterwards. When we arrived on a warm day, the table was prepared inside instead. The staff dismissed my request, saying it wasn’t their problem, and offered no solution. We ended up waiting an hour and a bit to get proper seating, which completely ruined my birthday evening. Very disappointing from a place I trusted and enjoyed before.

I haven't had such delicious tapas in a long time! A fine selection, excellent quality, and fantastic service. I came here without a reservation, and they still took good care of me on a busy Saturday. Highly recommended!

We get no attention at All, waving for 20 minutes but nothing. Better to spent your money at other places

Very delicious. I had the meat ball in Salsa sauce, the chicken and 4 pawns and everything tasted amazing. On point, juicy and very tasteful!

Small but excellent tapas bar Reservations are essential

It's a shame, the food itself was very good...but the service barely cares about the well-being of its guests. They don't ask at all; after a long wait, you have to look for the server to place your order, reorder, and pay yourself. They generally don't pay any attention to the noise level of individual guests or groups. When we complained, the server didn't care whether they received a tip, let alone whether we would come back. What a shame....

Super delicious tapas, generous portions! It's best to come with a group of friends and order everything from the menu! Unfortunately, there were only three of us, and we ordered 10 different tapas. We couldn't finish them all!

As someone who has lived in Portugal for 3 years. I can approve this food to be yummy authentic Portuguese/Spanish cuisine!! Amazing atmosphere , good service. But I would still expect more Portuguese food to be serviced, for example: leitão 🥹 Um bom lugar para mater saudades!!

In my opinion, the food was only mediocre. There were 6-7 shrimps in a bowl full of oil for instance. But accepting only cash and then throwing a tantrum for not getting a tip is another level of entitlement.

The service was great, that's why we tipped the waitress but the food is clearly frozen and the sangria was a miss as well, we didn't even finish it. I found it pricy for what it was.

Fav Spanish restaurant in Berlin! The terrace is super cute, ask for a spot on the veranda. Cash only and outside seating only till 22:00. Make sure to reserve.

I'd love to give it 5 stars because I really enjoy eating here, but I was pretty disappointed last time. I grew up in the Canary Islands and love prawns al ajillo. I hadn't ordered them before because I was afraid of potential disappointment. I'd already had boquerones, croquetas, rib-eye, octopus salad, and much more, and I was always at least satisfied. The prawns, however, were a disaster - a) frozen - not good at all, and especially with shrimp, you can taste it immediately; b) not fried in oil long enough, so the garlic was still raw (!); and c) completely watered down (which was probably due to the frozen food?) Apart from that, I highly recommend the food! Especially the boquerones and croquetas!

It was delicious and the service was exceptionally friendly. I'd be happy to come back.

I came for dinner with my friend on a day off. The service and staff were very kind. The portions were quite filling and the interior was authentic and clean. I liked it very much.

The tapas are delicious. The service is very friendly and it's cozy inside too. Negative: Unfortunately, card payments are not possible, only cash.

Super tasty food, great ambience and the service was also on point. We felt very comfortable as a group of 9-10 people. Everyone chose 2 tapas, drinks and then it was divided. Clean, full and satisfied for €35 you can't complain

The tables are so close together that I was able to have conversations with the tables on the left and right better than with my companion! (Sat right in the middle between two tables, when I left I had to be careful not to throw the food from the table next to each other!) Very unpleasant and totally annoying, and we even made reservations in advance. The food was delicious. Prices are too high! Not again. PS: cash only!

We were very satisfied with Pico tapas Bar. The food was delicious. The service friendly, accommodating and super helpful. The only negative would be the prices. It is quite pricey when compared to other tapas places around Berlin, but perhaps that’s due to the location of the restaurant. And another small note - they only accepts cash payments.

Time window of 2 hours, after 35 minutes the orders of 6 people were finally placed, after another 30 minutes the first tapas arrived. The drinks took just as long. 15 minutes before the end of the time slot, the waitress came to settle the bill, but we still hadn't received all of our orders - we were then given a 30-minute extension, which we were only able to use for 15 minutes because the table was then needed. Great, we wolfed down the last tapas. Then the tables are placed so close together that you always have someone's buttocks on your back from people walking past. There's no comfort there, which is a shame.

Having been a neighbor of Pico Tapas Bar for 12 years, I am very disappointed with what the service has become. I know that you always have to make a reservation in advance, so I went to the restaurant on Friday evening to reserve a table with my companion for Saturday. The lady, who has been working there for a long time and is basically part of the inventory, welcomed us very nicely. She showed us the available tables on the tablet and asked us where we would like to sit. There were still a few free tables for two, even three by the window. We then decided on the table by the window next to the door. I also mentioned that I don't want to sit in the middle of the room between the other tables. That wasn't a problem as there were enough tables available for tomorrow at 7 p.m. Then on Saturday I went to the restaurant with my girlfriend and unfortunately the selected table was no longer free, only tables in the middle of the room. Unfortunately the lady from the previous evening was no longer there. My companion and I then went to another restaurant disappointed.

Nice atmosphere and friendly service. However very poor food especially all fried dishes were with so bad quality oil. I would never recommend it if you are looking for a delicious Spanish food

I recently had dinner here with a colleague and we agreed that we hadn't had such a cool evening in a long time! Somehow everything worked out :) the service was super friendly, and the food was so much and so tasty… we'll definitely be back!

An absolute insider tip in Berlin! Rustic, lively atmosphere, a colorful range of delicious tapas and dinners and the team is very nice and always tries hard. It's nice that there's a real, lovingly run restaurant among all the commercial tapas chains.

3 stars are only because of the service! I have been to this restaurant very often over the last 3 years and the food was always great until our last visit. Our last visit was just very disappointing, apart from the pimientos, none of the tapas were at all as tasty as they were back then. Previously the shrimps came in a pan with chili oil, this time the shrimps were almost raw and just bad, other tapas we ordered were only medium quality. As I always expected more from this restaurant, I was very disappointed. It just changed. But the lady was very nice and offered us a 10% discount because of our dissatisfaction, thank you very much for that. But I don't think we'll go there again.

The Pico Tapas Bar in Kreuzberg is an absolute insider tip! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. I would particularly like to highlight the paella – it is simply sensational! Perfectly seasoned, rich in fresh seafood and with the typical slightly crispy rice base that you want. You can tell that a lot of love goes into the preparation here. The tapas are also delicious and offer a great selection. If you want to experience authentic Spanish cuisine in Berlin, you should definitely stop by here!

Authentic and delicious food. Friendly service. But: there doesn't seem to be any heating in the store. Frozen on January 11th, 2025! Blankets were distributed! The guests sat at the table with coats and blankets. It would get warm soon. This was not the case from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. It was cold and especially cold to the feet. I've never felt cold in a restaurant! You shouldn't go there in winter. Seems to be more of a summer location.

Very tasty food. Super friendly staff. We really liked the facility.

We've been big fans of the Picoteo for ages and haven't been here in ages. The restaurant has new owners and quality has now become quality. It was very disappointing and too expensive. The fried anchovies were dry and the crust was soft and limp. The (sizzling) prawns are not served in hot oil and cast pot as before, but in a small tapas bowl. Aioli tasted like almost nothing. The meat (strips with peppers) were dry and inedible. The goat cheese was the only tasty thing but not comparable to the previous version. The music was very loud. The iced teas are made with syrup and that doesn't automatically mean homemade. Very unfortunate. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Some of the food (calamari, sausage) is very salty and some waiters don't care about customers at all. The taste of paella is not bad, but it is a bit soggy. It's a place with a great atmosphere for drinking sangria and wine with a lot of people, but I can't say that the food and service are good either. The sangria was so delicious.
