Ich finde das Restaurant ist sehr schön freundliche Bedienung man bekommt was leckeres zu Essen hier kann ich nur weiterempfehlen ich bin zum ersten Mal hier in dem sehr schönen Restaurant da ich gerade in Berlin bin

Mein Freund ich wollten zum ersten mal Afrikanische Küche probieren. Als Servierten bekamen wir Zeba-Rolle und das Essen kam zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten. Zumal eins der Gerichte sehr fragwürdig und nach Hundefutter schmeckte. Außerdem ist es nicht möglich mit Karte zu zahlen und als wir nach einem Beleg fragten, wurde uns gesagt das wir dafür extra zahlen müssten. Beim Essen gab es außerdem einen Preisaufschlag über den wir nicht informiert wurden. Der Service war allerdings höflich - wenigstens das.

Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Essen war hervorragend, absolut empfehlenswert.

Letztes Wochenende habe ich mit einem Freund hier Hühnchen-Jollof-Reis mit Kochbananen gegessen. Das Personal war freundlich, die Reisportionen großzügig, das Hühnchen lecker und die Kochbananen haben mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Ich komme gerne wieder. Danke!

Passt gut auf bei der Zahlung, man hat versucht uns abzuziehen. Wir hatten eine Rechnung von 29€, ich habe mit drei 10ern und einer 1€-Münze gezahlt. Die Kellnerin ist mit dem Geld hinter der Theke verschwunden und kam mit zwei 10ern in der Hand zurück und sagte wir hätten nur 20€ gegeben. Ich und meine Freundin haben kurz überlegt aber wir waren uns beide sehr sicher dass das nicht stimmt. Die Kellnerin sagte daraufhin „Hmm okay dann gucke ich nochmal“, was will sie denn gucken? Ob der Schein „aus Versehen“ unter den Tresen gerutscht ist? Sie kam dann auch nicht mehr wieder und wir sind gegangen. Habe noch nie einen so offensichtlichen Betrugsversuch erlebt.

Ein anständiges Lokal. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und das Personal sehr freundlich.

The worst restaurant I have ever visited in my life, in any country, with any cuisine. Food was awful, service was even worse. And it was not cheap. Avoid it!

The food was good but services was very very poor I don't think to go back again I order food for 39€ but they gave me bills for 45€ the weiters, waitresses are not polite.

We really wanted to try African cuisine (especially fufu) and found our way here thanks to social media! The staff were super friendly and helped us choose. We had fufu with two different soups and a large portion of fried plain noodles, and everything tasted absolutely delicious! Really generous portions; we had it and the rest packed up :) 10/10 recommendation, I'll definitely come again 🫶🏼

Not only was the food good and served and generous portions, but the staff was more than kind to me. I came in on a hard day and the owner provided some words of wisdom that literally brought me to tears. This incident was over two years ago. I still remember it like it was yesterday and so I came back to leave this review.

We ordered and found the fufu with peanut sauce very tasty, I was just missing a bit of spiciness, but that's also a matter of taste. Otherwise I would say that it is one of the tastiest fufu I have eaten in Berlin :) Thanks for that!

The owner of the place has a bad attitude. I went there with female friend of mine whom I wanted to introduce Nigerian food to. In between there was a misunderstanding in the order but she couldn’t even offer a word of apology to calm us down after waiting in vain. I don’t think I’ll ever step my foot there again

We wanted to eat fufu and went to this place as it is one of the only ones open for lunch in Berlin - and we were not disappointed! We were greeted by a very friendly waitress who helped us with the menu. The food was very good and there was beer from Nigeria. Gladly again!

The woman who owns this place is omg too rude. She really needs to learn how to talk to people. Just a simple question about how long it would take to get my order while I have been seated for up to 20 minutes+ this woman went ballistic about other people who have been here before me that are yet to be served. Like, you are the server, you get to determine how long it takes, so just tell me if its 30minutes or 1 hour or a whole day. She takes things too personal and it seems like any question that does not sit well with her is seen as a personal attack. The only possible reason why this woman is still in business is because her customers are Nigerians who are used to bad service and some fraction are friends or pals who know her from afro parties in berlin.. There's no way anyone who talk to customers like this will remain in business if cusomers are Germans or whites..

A restaurant that is simply furnished. Here you are welcomed as if you were part of the family. The food is served simply, but the palate is very happy for it. The taste is very, very good and you can tell that the dishes are African - native and not yet Europeanized. Definitely worth a visit.

Overall everything was great. Delicious AFRICAN food. My personal tip: Spice up the furnishings and the outside area a bit and it would be perfect. At first we weren't sure if the restaurant was open.

Afrobase became over the years like a second home for my husband. Being far away from home is hard. We found nice people, warmth, good food and drinks. Egusi is just the best there. Our boys love plantain and jollof rice.

Our little daughter (5) saw fufu on TV and really wanted to eat it. So we fulfilled her wish today and ordered fufu with peanut sauce to take away. My husband also ordered a very tasty dish. We will come again. The boss there was so friendly and sweet and the food was very tasty. Everything tasted great and our daughter wants to eat fufu again. What could be nicer than being able to eat with your hands? We can recommend it without hesitation. :) Thank you for the delicious moment in another world!

We had three take away dishes yesterday. Only one dish (platain with sauce) was edible. In another dish, the chicken smelled sweet and spoiled, so no one dared to eat the egusi soup because the chicken was on top. (The dog didn't want it either and he's always begging). One child then had a stomach ache and diarrhea. Overall, the portions were really small - a huge chunk of foufou and a ladle of sauce. Pricing policy is totally opaque - the menu says €15, a sign says "every dish with chicken €15" and then suddenly an additional €5 is added to the bill. At first I was told "for the plastic" because take away. Then they claimed because of the chicken that the dish cost €1 more - but that doesn't explain the other €3. Overall, a very unpleasant, expensive and unhealthy experience. Never again.

Afro Base was a good experience in African cooking. And therefore deserves a good 3.5 stars. Unfortunately, the peanut sauce was no longer in stock, so we followed the recommendation and got the fufu with a very, very spicy tomato sauce. Although this was delicious with the fufu, we only ever dipped the fufu in it minimally. The chicken was cooked tender and a tasty addition. The drinks were delicious and served cold. We ate the dish without cutlery. Typically our dish came with a bowl of water and paper towels. The price level is top. Here you get a generous portion and drinks at a fair price for your money. The service was rustic-friendly and our questions were answered in detail. However, the atmosphere was very run down and the place was rather dark. It was bright at our window seat due to the sunlight. The furniture was very uncomfortable. Unfortunately we didn't really feel comfortable there either.

Food was decent. Well priced. Service could be a lot better. When we came in, said hello to the lady and took a seat. It seemed like no one was coming to take our order, so we got up, went to the lady and informed her that we would like to eat.

If you are reading this, please don’t go to this restaurant, they are super rude, they will scream/insult you at every opportunity they get,I wonder how they are still operating. Food isn’t that great as well, they never have what is on the menu.

I have had better experience in war-torn countries than I had at this restaurant. Service is zero! No one cared to offer the menu after sitting ourselves, had to go pick up the menu to look through, no one came to take order after more than 10 minutes though they promised this and when we walked back to the kitchen/bar area to go place order we get yelled at to go sit down because they are busy and will only come take orders when it was convenient for them. I will never visit this business again, their actions/inactions almost ruined our trip to Berlin.

The owner and servers are very rude. They're always grimacing as if they have been forced to work. The food is also not that good. I have a feeling they can even spit in your food. Not worth it. Avoid this restaurant at all cost while in Berlin

Honestly the most horrible African restaurant in Berlin. I kid you not. First of all, the food is not that great. And the service is HORRENDOUS. The owner is very rude, along with her servers. They have no regard or respect or even common decency and etiquette towards customers. They will literally disrespect you right to your face, as if you're not the one keeping them in business. Kindly avoid this restaurant at all cost, for your own safety and self respect. The woman pictured in these images is the worst of them all. All the positive reviews are fake and usually fabricated by their own affiliates. Don't believe it. Please avoid this restaurant AT ALL COST & thank me later. I'd give it ZERO STARS but there's none.

Auf den ersten Blick ein wenig unordentlich, aber näher betrachtet ziemlich authentisch afrikanisch. Der Service war super freundlich und das empfohlene Essen schmeckte super. Der Preis war in Ordnung. Für mich ein bisschen Afrika in Berlin. Klare Empfehlung wenn man lecker essen möchte und nicht immer nur Döner und Pizza will.

I enjoyed the place. Whilst awaiting my meal, we engaged in some good talk about politics with the waitress/owner (I think). The meal was awesome and I will definitely go back again to try other dishes. I observed the other guests were licking their fingers in enjoyment of their meals too. Overall, the place and meal was awesome to my taste buds.

Super lecker und sehr heimisch.

As we went in, the vibe felt nice and then the owner was completely ignoring us and ran away in the middle of taking the order. The food we ordered was supposed to be vegetarian but she gave us meat. The food tasted like fish even though it was meat. The peanut soup dish was sweet and they didn't have anything like paprika or something to change the disgusting taste. All in all the very worst experience . Never going there again.

After reading the reviews, my expectations were sooo high. Went there and tried to order something else (that was not available). Afterwards, ordered jollof rice. As my boyfriend is from Nigeria I knew exactly what this was supposed to be and I knew I was going to like it. It happened the opposite. I am vegetarian, so I got the „no meat“ version. It costed 13€ and it was literally just the rice- no plantains (even though it is advertised as such in the menu) Long story short: I ate the most expensive rice I have ever eaten in my life🙈 On the positive side: it seemed like a very authentic place- maybe that was a bad day for them: not sure. I just rated my experience. Also the waiter- was super nice.

Ich möchte nicht stellvertretend für andere Menschen sprechen. Am besten überzeugt ihr euch selbst, da es gut sein kann, dass es einfach nicht mein Geschmack getroffen hat. Essen ist sehr teuer, das Hühnchen war trocken, mein Gericht hat fischig geschmeckt, obwohl nichts was auch nur aus dem Wasser stammen hätte können sich darin befand. Longstory short ich kann es nicht empfehlen.

This place is one of the best places one can have original Nigerian dishes. I've visited it many times and the food taste always the same, great consistency of taste. My personal favorite is Bitter leaf soup with swallow but I've tried almost everything and today I've decided to share my experience with the newbies. Afro-Base is one of it kind in Berlin.

Geht so. Ich hatte ein vegetarisches Gericht. Das war nur einfacher Reis mit Kochbananen und hat 15 Euro gekostet. War nicht mal die Hälfte wert. Vllt wurde einfach nur das Fleisch weggelassen und dennoch der gleiche Preis berechnet? Finde ich nicht gut. Geschmacklich in Ordnung, aber nichts besonderes. Ambiente oll.

The food was good, reasonably priced and the atmosphere was very African. The only tiny (drawback) was the response time, I had to wait for more than 35mins before my food was served. However, for most people, that's understandable but I was famished so you can understand my plight.

Das Essen ist super lecker , für mich eindeutig das beste afrikanische Restaurant in Berlin . Ich habe mich über die Jahre durchprobiert und gehe nun nur noch hier hin . Das einzige was etwas stört ist , dass man für das selbe Gericht , jedes Mal einen anderen Preis zahlt

Mein erster Eindruck von außen: "Bloß weg von hier" Ich bin aber zum Glück doch hineingegangen und durfte absolut leckere afrikanische Küche genießen. Auch die Inhaberin ist eine absolut liebenswürdige Person. Gerne mal wieder!
