Unfortunately, the food wasn't good, neither the appetizer nor the pizza. I wouldn't recommend it. 😕

The food tastes good and is of decent quality. Unfortunately, the value for money isn't right; the dishes are too expensive for what's offered. The service is particularly negative: the elderly gentleman serving is frequently unfriendly, seems grumpy, and greets guests without a smile. This significantly dampens the atmosphere and detracts from the restaurant's strengths.

I happened to search for a place without break times and went there, and the food was delicious. The pizza and pasta were both delicious. The server seemed a bit blunt and unfriendly, but he wasn't. He kindly brought me everything I needed.

Last night, three of us spontaneously went there. It was very crowded. Initially, there was only one waitress, who had difficulty keeping track of all the guests. We had to wait a very long time for the menu, which was only handed over after we asked. A second waiter then came and took our order. I had the Pollo salad, which the menu said to be served with bread. There was only one slice of baguette, which was really very little. I've eaten this salad there many times and was always very satisfied. Not yesterday: The salad was drenched in oil and was far from what I was used to. The other two had pizzas, one of which was also drenched in oil. The waiter seemed stressed and unfriendly, and we weren't even asked if we wanted any other drinks. Conclusion: The value for money was not good, the waiter was stressed and inattentive. It's not worth another visit for me.

We spontaneously visited Aachen today. We immediately liked the outdoor area at Piccolino, so we sat down. The very friendly waiter came promptly and gave us excellent advice and service. The food and drinks were also of very good quality and tasted excellent. Highly recommended 👍

There were two of us. My sister had a kind of ravioli with spinach, which she loved. I had spaghetti bolognese, which wasn't good; for some reason it even tasted like lemon. My sister tasted it and found it disgusting.

We've eaten at Piccolino countless times – and it's always a highlight. In our opinion, they have the best Neapolitan pizza in all of Aachen. Whether it's pizza, pasta, or appetizers – we've tried almost the entire menu, and everything has been consistently delicious and authentic. Piccolino is cozy, inviting, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. If you love Italian food, you should definitely stop by here. It's definitely one of our favorite spots in Aachen!

The pizza there was amazing and I ordered the ravioli pasta which was super creamy ... It tastes like authentic Italian but I like it a little spicy being an Indian so I am still confused visiting the place again but the ambience was cute and romantic:) service was fast and warm welcomed :)

We were in for a family dinner and really enjoyed our meal. We shared starters, big thumbs up for the calamari and shared platters. Pizzas were great, we enjoyed the saltimbocca and wine. Friendly and swift service. Young and older in our group loved this night out. Highly recommended.

Good Italian restaurant with a coherent concept. You sit close to your neighbors, without crowding. Maybe it's not for people with social phobia. The service is professional, fast and friendly. The menu offers a clear (in a positive way) and varied selection of starters, salads, pasta, pizzas and desserts. There are meat dishes and vegetarian options. And best of all: the food is delicious and made by people with a sense of quality. It comes quickly and made me a fan on the first visit. 😋 I would love to come back here!

Good Italian cuisine (the classic dishes and pizzas), well done. Yummy. Nothing more, but nothing less either. The Brucetta and the lasagna were really good in my case. The tiramisu was decent.

Eating out and celebrating: at Piccolino in Burtscheid you can do both at the same time! Call and make a reservation - because it's worth it. Fully booked because there are reasons! Absolutely delicious! When I need a great evening, I come here to little Italy...

Unfortunately just average Italian. Ambience very squat when all tables are occupied. Some tables for 2 are only 5cm! away from the other table. Very steep prices. For the price level we expected at least a few small pizza rolls with butter/cream, but nothing! Plate very clear. I think my tagliatelle for the saltimbocca was counted out. It's actually never happened to me that I wasn't full at an Italian restaurant. The salad bouquet was just a ring of cucumber slices with homeopathic lettuce leaves and dried tomatoes. A great idea as a decoration, but as a side salad with the main course? Really now? Service was 'neutrally friendly', a bit grumpy and short when making a reservation. The wine was drinkable, but 0.2l for €8.90! Holla the forest fairy. I tried to enjoy every drop. Too bad, probably not again so soon.

Subject to a shockingly disappointing experience at Piccolino. I thought about writing this review for a long time, but now I would like to share my experience at Piccolino. Unfortunately, my visit was extremely disappointing and has resulted in serious and long-lasting consequences for me. Despite my express, mentioned and sensitive intolerance, which I stated in advance and when I ordered, this was completely disregarded, contrary to confirmation. As a result, I even had to go to the hospital weeks later. Such a serious incident is unacceptable and shows a lack of attention to food safety and guests' needs. Many thanks to the Degustino restaurant, they helped me on the way home and was a relief for me. Finally, I find it very regrettable that we have not received any response to my email to date. An appropriate response to such a serious matter would have been more than desirable. I can only hope that my feedback will help improve the quality and security of your services.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Piccolino. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, aber: Der Chef ist sehr unfreundlich, kein Hallo, kein Tschüss, er knallte leere Getränkekästen in die Ecke, dass man zusammenzuckte, und Flaschen lautstark in den Kühlschrank. Beim Teller abräumen bellte er uns ein „War gut?“ um die Ohren, ohne uns anzugucken, keine Frage nach Dessert oder Kaffee, Getränke musste man erfragen. Der Kellner war minimal freundlicher. Einziger Pluspunkt: Das Essen war wirklich gut, dafür sind die zwei Punkte. Hingehen werden wir nie wieder, möchten Unfreundlichkeit nicht noch bezahlen. Da gibt es wesentlich bessere Restaurants, die einen Kunden wertschätzen. Das haben wir im Piccolino nicht erlebt, schade.

We tried some appetizers, a pizza and pasta with shrimps, and a good white wine. The pizza was tasty, but the pasta with shrimp was a bit too watery and hardly seasoned. The Zuani wine is less acidic and recommended. Expect to pay €20 per person for 1 x main course + drink.

The service was just as great: attentive, friendly and always there when you needed it. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. We will definitely come back and can highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Simply great.

Only the reservation was sent even though the booking confirmation was provided by email. Then you should first report to the waiter and then outside. Prices are pretty high when you consider that almost all pasta dishes are €18. The Bolognese menu was bland in terms of taste. The dish with the beef fillet strips and truffle was good. Overall, there are significantly better Italians in Aachen.

These days I was in my favorite restaurant in Aachen. Unfortunately, I'm a little disappointed because the pizza is just not as tasty as it used to be and no longer crispy. I ordered a Coke with the pizza and got an Africola, according to the motto we only have that 😅. Well, I've drunk Africola a few times, but never without carbonation. I asked the waiter if he could bring me a new one because it was simply syrupy water. So he brings me the new Africola and says: yes, it's not Cola, it's not carbonated 😂😂😂😂. I thought come on it doesn't matter, but honestly you could be kidding someone else.

It's pretty nice there, the waiter was nice too :) I was just very disappointed with my lasagne, I barely tasted any pasta or minced meat, it was just a lot of cheese with tomato sauce. But if you really like cheese, this will definitely make you happy.

Unfortunately we can't share the good reviews...except for the staff...nice, polite but also a bit overwhelmed. Our criticism was politely accepted...with the advice to pass it on to the kitchen...well!!! The pizza was soggy in the middle, the pizza knife was blunt... it wasn't possible to cut it... more like sabering 😞. The side dish for the meat dish (French fries) was over-fried...so not edible...which was very annoying given the small amount... Unfortunately, a direct complaint was not possible...as the staff was otherwise busy with guests...unfortunately not recommended for us...

We recently spent a cozy evening in this Italian restaurant in Aachen and were completely satisfied. The bruschetta and burrata are a real treat. But the pizzas were definitely the highlight! Baked to perfection and topped with generous portions of fresh ingredients – simply delicious! The service was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. We look forward to visiting again soon to sample more of this authentic Italian cuisine

Prices are medium to slightly higher, but the food is also top notch. And the portions are sufficient too. The only small drawback is the volume when the small room is full. Delizioso! I was there on Valentine's Day with my boyfriend and it was very tasty, homemade pasta and the salmon was very fresh. When you walked in, everything was beautifully decorated and lovingly done!

Amazing place. Customer service is good. We could order in English and everything was fine. The pizza is delicious, thin crust and delicious toppings. The burrata was good as well. The dessert was just normal, but considering everything, this is a place that I highly recommend and give 5 stars. I will visit it again for sure.

Schönes kleines Bistro, wir wurden sehr nett bedient und das Essen war ein Traum. Hier werden wir definitiv wieder herkommen. Um die Mittagszeit schon relativ voll, also ggf. reservieren. Die Pasta in Trüffelsauce kann ich empfehlen!

Wir waren an Neujahr 2024 in dem Lokal. Ich kann leider die guten Bewertungen der anderen Gäste nicht bestätigen. Der Vorspeisen Salat war gut. Die Pizzen die man uns dann servierte gehören zu den schlechtesten die ich je gegessen habe. In der Mitte matschig und ohne Geschmack. Der Service nicht der Rede wert. Vielleicht hat das Personal zu lange Silvester gefeiert. Ich weiß es nicht. Wir werden aber keinen 2. Versuch starten.

Waren ganz begeisterte. Tolles Essen Aufmerksame und freundliche Bedienung. Klein und fein.

Cozy restaurant in central Burtscheid with excellent Italian food

Sind eher zufällig hier gelandet, aber italienische Küche geht ja immer :). Wir hatten einen Vorspeisenteller für 2 Personen und jeweils eine Pizza ( Empfehlung bei der größe des Vorspeisentellers -> besser im Anschluss, eine Pizza teilen :)) und ein Tiramisu. Auf dem Vorspeisenteller befanden sich Salami, Schinken, Brot, Bruschette, verschiedene Gemüse, Vitello tonnato, Calamari Fritti,Oliven und noch einige andere Leckerlis. Der komplette Teller sehr sehr schmackhaft, aber auch nicht gerade günstig. Beide Pizze waren von ausgezeichneter Qualität, selten außerhalb Italiens, so eine leckere Pizza gegessen, dünner Boden, knuspriger Rand, und vor allem nicht übermäßig dick belegt. Passte genau in unser Geschmacksprofil. Tiramisu ausgezeichnet, vermutlich selbst gemacht. Einen Punkt Abzug, für das doch sehr enge Ambiente ( Tische stehen teilweise so eng nebeneinander, das man den Gesprächen vom Nachbartisch zwangsweise folgen muss), entsprechend sehr laute Akkustik im Raum. Preislich defintiv gehoben. Dennoch würden wir alleine für die Pizza, nochmal wieder kommen.

Netter Service, leckere Pizza und Salate. Eine schöne Abwechslung von der Reha-Kost ! Wir ware als Gruppe dort, besser reservieren.

Ein ansprechendes empfehlenswertes Restaurant mit freundlichem Servicepersonal. Die angebotenen Speisen sind durchgängig gut. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist soweit okay bzw. noch angemessen. Geräusch- und lärmempfindliche potentielle Besucher sollten die Stoßzeiten meiden, weil die Sitzplätze dicht aneinandergereiht sind. Wenn das Lokal gut besucht ist, kann der Lärm störend sein. Deswegen eine Einschränkung bzgl. des Ambiente.

Gediegenes ital. Restaurant mit netten Ambiente. Die Gerichte sahen besser aus als sie schmeckten. Wir waren mit 6 Personen dort und nur 2 waren zufrieden. Beispielsweise schmeckte meine Pizza Gamba als wenn sie nicht gekürzt wurde ... also ohne bums. Unsere Erwartungen wurden leider nicht erfüllt. Wir werden dort nicht nochmals essen gehen.
