Update: The new lunch menu is very good and not expensive at 14 euros for really great food, water and ice cream for dessert. There is also an in-house bakery that bakes delicious cakes and other little things to take away. I wish the PHP much success!

Pity to call itself a gourmet restaurant. Food was super bad and pathetic. Breakfast is super simple, and coffee, Please learn to make a nice cup of coffee. Super expensive as a cherry on top. Always empty and i see 4.9 stars.

If you want price-quality, this is the place to go. We got our daily breakfast here and what a delight it was. Lots of options to put together a nice meal. Very polite and kind service. I can’t speak on their lunch and dinner, but for breakfast? Look no further. Great way to start your day in Berlin.

Best lunch (and dinner, and breakfast) between Europa City and Hauptbahnhof. The PHP offers an outstanding quality of food and service no matter if you decide to stay and enjoy the elegance of the place or to take something from their delicious take away variety. The cakes and the ice cream are a real treat! The prices are super reasonable. I would make it my living room if I had the time.

Wirklich gutes - neueres - Restaurant in der Nachbarschaft 😊. Habe heute den Mittagstisch getestet: Zander und vor allem das Risotto war ausgesprochen gut 👍. Jetzt müssen wir das Abendessen testen 😊 Ursprünglich ist das Einstein in Schöneberg das Mutterhaus. Die Qualität ist auf alle Fälle hier in Mitte angekommen. Das Restaurant ist für uns in der Scharnhorststr eine gute Alternative zum Esszimmer bei uns.

Sehr schönes Restaurant, mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Wir haben heute ein, von der Konditorin selbst hergestelltes leckeres Eis gegessen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

We live on Heidestrasse as well and always used to see the place but somehow never visited it in 3 months since it got opened. We went here for breakfast and we really loved it. The taste me very good, the look and feel of the food was good as well. Service was very nice, we ordered a sandwich from the lunch menu at 10:30am and they gladly took order without saying that it's too early. This shows how flexible they are and how good the service is. Price is a bit on the higher side but most of the restaurants are expensive on the street. Must visit place for breakfast.

Wir waren jetzt zweimal da. Beim ersten Mal Cappuccino mit Kuchen bestellt. Kuchen war sehr lecker, Cappuccino zu kalt… die Kellner waren zwar nett aber die standen die ganze Zeit drinnen und wir haben sehr lange gewartet. Beim zweiten Besuch haben wir Schnitzel mit Spargel bestellt. Ich habe noch nie so einen kleinen Schnitzel serviert bekommen. Es entspricht überhaupt nicht den Bildern… Spargel und Kartoffeln waren zu kalt, zu hart und ohne Geschmack, die Soße kalt aber geschmacklich ok. Die Bedienung war sehr nett aber wir haben sehr lange gewartet bis jemand zu uns gekommen ist und die Bestellung aufgenommen hat. Also 69€ für Wasser und zweimal Mini Schnitzel ist definitiv nicht angemessen. Schade… da die Lage sehr schön ist

Hervorragender Service. Preise recht hoch, aber die Qualität stimmt. Weinauswahl und Getränke auf hohem Niveau. Man kann sich in ruhe unterhalten. Also auch perfekt für Business Meetings.

Restaurant noch nicht getestet aber die Backwaren (zum Mitnehmen) sind schonmal super. Frühstückskarte wird als Nächstes probiert. +++ Update: Mittlerweile auch zum Frühstück dort gewesen. Das Omelett rockt und sucht seines gleichen in Berlin.

Elegant, fabulous service every time I go. I love the table details with the fresh flowers, tea and coffee are beautiful and delicious. Must get the pancakes for breakfast, some of the best in the city. The little shop on the side has ice cream, pastries, sandwiches, salads all really great quality and easy to grab on a lunch break.

Hat uns leider nicht überzeugt. Service war in Ordnung. Essen war leider überteuert und langweilig im Geschmack. Man fühlt sich in dem Restaurant nicht wohl, da es leider eher wie eine Kantine gestaltet ist. Preis/ Leistung stimmt nicht.

Sehr coole Location, zentral gelegen und zur Zeit noch ein Geheimtipp. Aber das wird sich sicherlich bald ändern. Personal und Service sind super freundlich, Atmosphäre familiär. Top geeignet für Veranstaltungen. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!!!

Das Restaurant ist sehr geräumig mit schlicht- geschmackvollem Ambiente. Köstliches Essen auf der Karte, tolle Weine, allerdings manche nur in der Flasche. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Leider muss sich das Lokal noch herumsprechen, es existiert erst seit 1 Monat und war noch entsprechend leer. Allerdings auch hochpreisig und sicher nichts für alle Tage in Zeiten von Inflation...

Ich war bereits öfter dort und liebe das PHP. Das Unternehmen dahinter betreibt das Café Einstein Stammhaus. Viel Wert wird auf selbstgemachtes gelegt und das sieht und schmeckt man auch. Das vegane Steak ist mein Favorit und aus der Backstube gibt es eine riesige Auswahl an Herzhaftem und vor allem Süßem.

Leider war meine Erfahrung im PHP Restaurant Berlin in der Heidestraße enttäuschend. In der Bäckerei untergebracht ist, war das von mir bestellte Hausbrot mit 3,50 € für ein halbes Brot, also 7 € für ein ganzes Brot, überteuert und schmeckte mehlig und nicht richtig durchgebacken. Auch die Preise für Mini-Brötchen sind mit 50 Cent pro Stück zu hoch angesetzt. Es scheint, dass das Restaurant insgesamt teuer ist und ich mich nicht wohl fühle, dies in Anspruch zu nehmen, obwohl es so nah bei mir liegt. Das ist wirklich schade.

The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is nice, but it is pricey, the food is simple, good, but not sophisticated and the prices are totally unfair.

Tolles Restaurant und super Essen

Heidestraße Ecke Otto-Weidt-Platz hat endlich ein Restaurant das PHP geöffnet. Das Restaurant hat einen großen L- förmigen Raum mit vielen Tischen am Fenster. Bei schönen Wetter kann man auch draußen sitzen mit einem schönen Blick auf den Platz (wenn der Brunnen ⛲️ bloß endlich fertig aufgebaut wäre). Das Restaurant ist modern eingerichtet, was zum Business-Lunch okay ist. Aber zum Abendessen ist die Atmosphäre nicht gemütlich. Die Karte (deutsch/englisch) bietet für jede Tageszeit etwas passendes. Wir wählten von der Tageskarte „Mittagstisch von 11:00 bis 15:00 Uhr“ den Gehlsbach See Saibling für 21 EUR von der normalen Karte das „Einstein Stammhaus Schnitzel“ für 22 EUR. Beides war tadellos und hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Dazu ein Glas 0,2 Primitivo und ein Glas 0,2 Riesling für je 10 EUR. Beide Weine fanden wir hervorragend gut. Die Preise sind für die Qualität des Essens und der Weine sicherlich angemessen.

Food is ok but very expensive. I'm missing the cozy feeling to both bakery and restaurant. Not very welcoming and just not a good fit for this neighbourhood. This is not Zehlendorf, full of rich people.

Wir haben Kaffee und zwei Stück Kuchen bestellt. Der Cappuccino war okay, aber nichts besonderes. Die Tasse war ziemlich klein für den Preis. Der Kuchen hat gut und frisch geschmeckt. Das Personal war bemüht und freundlich, wirkte j dich noch sehr unerfahren. Sehr hallt sehr stark, da kann man an der Lautstärke noch arbeiten. Es war nett, aber Preis-Leistung passt noch nicht

Gestern getestet. Zu teuer für zu wenig. Auch wenn das Restaurant erst kürzlich eröffnete, muss Servicepersonal nach Rücksprache mit der Küche in der Lage sein, zumindest grob zu erklären woraus genau das 41€ teure vegane Steak besteht. Immerhin wurden wir auf das Vier Gänge „Special“ als Empfehlung aufmerksam gemacht. Dennoch war das Personal freundlich und bemüht. Die vegetarischen Maultaschen für 25€ sind derweil nicht zu empfehlen. Fazit: kein Charme (hell erleuchtet, Bistrotische, Fensterfront zur Hauptstraße, um 21:45h ging die Musik aus, spartanische Toiletten), keine überzeugende Küche, für Lage & Leistung völlig überteuert.

Very nice restaurant with good service and good food, although I would expect some “wow factor” for that price category in terms of food quality. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the waiters are extremely polite. The space is big and well designed, the porcelain is beautiful, the way they serve the dishes is also appealing. Overall I would say it’s a perfect place for a date. There is also a cute bakery with a separate entrance with fresh pastry. Teas are of a very good quality, coffee is the same level you get in Einstein.

Das Restaurant bietet Speisen an, die ich in die Kategorie "gehobene Küche" einordnen würde. Dementsprechend dürften die Preise etwas über dem liegen, was ich im Durchschnitt für die Mittagspause ausgebe. Nichtsdestotrotz hat mir der Service gut gefallen und das Essen gut geschmeckt. Die Lage am Park ist sehr schön, man kann sein Essen genießen und ist doch an einem belebten Ort in Berlin. 5 Sterne!

This review might need some updating after a bit but this is my opinion on opening date: Nice stuff: - food was really amazing (we would have preferred a burrata instead of mozzarella for starters though) - prices were ok for a high end restaurant (59 for a 3 course menu) - food options are limited but very good and diverse (we were confused at the beginning because we thought the menu was pretty big but it was just the same thing in English and German. The Menu comes down to two pages) - service was really good - nice bar space seating Not so good stuff: - there’s not really an atmosphere for a high end restaurant - furniture comes across as cheap - the whole room was way to bright - bathrooms are very basic and don’t even have mirrors yet - some of the spaces are empty which kind of kills the vibe - there is no privacy between you and the pedestrians right outside - it feels more like a canteen than a restaurant Overall I think there is much room for improvement. All the ingredients are there, they just need to finish the space. Food is overall very very good, they just need to get the right atmosphere and intimacy for a restaurant of this caliber.
