PHO BAY in Berlin

So, I had the Bo Teriyaki from the weekly menu. I really didn't like the food. It was way too European.

Always good. This restaurant has been delivering consistently high quality food for years. They probably have some of the best pho in all of Berlin. For dessert, be sure to order the Vietnamese coffee...ideally in the beautiful afternoon sun.

It's located almost above the subway station and offers a lunch menu. There's outdoor seating, but the view isn't great, so dining inside is more atmospheric. The stir-fried vegetables are crispy and delicious. The staff are friendly.

Was there for lunch. The food is overall okay but not spectacular. Had the lunch menu with chicken tenders and noodles. Noodles were swimming in soup with salad. Chicken tasted average. Was confused

Once again, we wanted to eat close to our accommodations. We chose this place, and honestly, we were all satisfied and full. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The interior was also neat and clean. The only problem was with card payment—I think it was a glitch, but it was probably temporary. I highly recommend it.

I've eaten here several times, and it's always been really good. Today's bowl with amazing kimchi, a wide variety of herbs, and deliciously seasoned, super hot, crispy chicken balls was fresh and prepared very quickly. The lime-mint lemonade was also remarkable. The shop is a bit unassuming, but with its really friendly staff, I highly recommend it!

Despite asking and having a disability of 50, I was not allowed to use the restroom. The young waiter was extremely aggressive and insulting. Simply disgusting.

Fast delivery and large portion, but the Pho broth was completely tasteless, almost like water.

An authentic-looking restaurant. The food is very good for the price, and the portions are generous. I would definitely recommend it for what we ate.

Would not recommend to vegetarians/vegans. I ordered a pho with veggie toppings, I read the ingredient list carefully to make sure it’s vegetarian (on the menu it just says “Gewürzbrühe”, nothing about animal products). But when the food arrived I immediately recognized the smell and taste of beef broth. I called the place to ask and indeed they confirmed they put bones in the broth, even though it’s not specified in the menu. Very inconsiderate practice towards any non-meat eaters. Please label your ingredients properly! Summer rolls were nice though.

Been coming here for years. The food is always good, the staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I can especially recommend the Hu Tieu.

The food is incredibly tasty, and the prices are more than fair. From the moment you order to when it's served, it takes no time at all—it’s truly “fast” food, but with top-notch quality. Never eaten anything worse in Berlin. We ordered sweet and sour to take away. Extremely sweet and nothing sour… The sauce tastes like a desert. I ask myself how can you mess up such a simple dish and the answer is - no sense of balance in the ingredients. In addition, everything else was just sad in terms of quantity and quality. 5-6 pieces of cooked and tasteless chicken with any vegetables.. Ended up wasting money and left hungry…

The food was delicious and the service was really nice. We went here for dinner and we really enjoyed the food. The price is really great and the service was very accommodating. The sweet and sour sauce was a little too sweet, but it was still tasty. Otherwise a really nice little restaurant.

Very, very tasty food, great ambience and nice service, including a sweet greeting dog. We had a classic Pho, fried flat rice noodles and duck in peanut sauce. Everything was super delicious We'll definitely be back.

I was there twice. The wontons seemed homemade and were very tasty. The soup was extremely good and flavorful. I have rarely eaten so well (for my taste). The summer rolls and the accompanying sauce were also wonderful. Very friendly staff. You sit on stools in a nice atmosphere, if you need a backrest you have to see if you can find a place on the wall with the benches. Dog allergy sufferers beware: There is a house dog (short-haired), but he is completely unobtrusive and: I didn't see a single dog hair, not even on the floor. I always pay close attention to this. It is sparkling clean in this really highly recommended restaurant. I'd love to come back!

The food was on the table in no time and was very, very tasty. We had the pho and fried noodles, large portions for a good price. The great food was overshadowed by the super cute restaurant dog Sumi, who visited us at the table several times 😅😍🐕 For that reason alone we will definitely be coming back soon!

A classic where it somehow always tastes good. I often come here for lunch. I've never been disappointed with the food, the portions are too big rather than too small. The homemade lemonade or ginger ale are recommended.

It's ok, the taste of the broth is ok and lacking depth. The chicken was ok but a bit stale The noodles don't have any or not much texture. And if you don't eat fast enough they get really soggy real fast. They feel cheap. But the staff is super friendly and it's cozy there. And you can pay with card. It's ok.

The "Pho Bay" is a small but fine Vietnamese restaurant that has a lot to offer despite its modest size. The menu is manageable, which makes it easy to choose, and the food is consistently delicious - provided you're a fan of the typical Vietnamese spices. These can also be omitted if desired, which you should simply specify when ordering. I find the lunch menu particularly attractive, which includes changing main courses and a tasty soup. Although there is an option to sit outside, the location on a busy street makes this less appealing. Inside, however, it's much more comfortable, especially if you come in the evening and the traffic dies down. The service at Pho Bay is consistently friendly and the homemade lemonades are a real treat and definitely worth a try. I can recommend Pho Bay with a clear conscience, as long as you don't expect miracles. The focus here is on delicious food, and anyone who focuses on that will certainly not be disappointed.

Vietnamese food for life. In cold Berlin, where I remember warm soup, my body and mind were warm... Even though a year has passed, I still remember it.

This food deserves more than just 5 stars...I'm an absolute complainer but everything I've eaten so far is fantastically delicious and super fresh!!!!

We weren't satisfied. The chicken came out of the fryer, the sauce had countless fat eyes and the taste has nothing to do with Vietnamese food. Otherwise the service was fine and friendly. But we will never eat there again. Sorry

Always good for a lunch break meal

The food is middling - not any better or any worse than any other standard Vietnamese place in Berlin. However, if you have any dietary restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, allergies, etc.) this is not the place for you. I ordered #27 fried noodles with Tofu, and found chicken in my meal. This was extremely disappointing as I've been vegetarian for 20 years. The woman next to me explicitly ordered her meal with out onions as she has an onion allergy. Naturally there were onions in her noodles and after half heartedly picking around them, she gave up and left disheartened. This was new years day, not a great way to start the year for either of us. Additionally, the service is middling at best. They are friendly enough but I had to walk to the bar to order, walk to the bar to tell them there was chicken in my meal, walk to the bar to pay... etc. I've been here three times: in 2014, 2020, and 2024. I'm not sure why I continue to see if they've improved, as in all that time they haven't. Instead I would go to V'uisine just a block away, which produces excellent Vegetarian and Vietnamese food for less cost, better service, and tastier.

여기 맛있어요! 투어끝나고 가이드님 추천으로 간 집인데 다 깔끔했습니다!! 가이드님 추천으로는 새우들어간 쌀국수, 볶음쌀국수, 그 다음에 제가 먹은 그릴비프(?) 추천해주셔서 저는 고기 먹었습니다^^ 참고로 고수는 빼달라고 하셔야 안 들어가요! 여기는 한국인 하나도 없고 주변도 다 주거단지라 동네 맛집이라고 합니다. 혼자 밥 먹었는데 적당히 조용하고 따뜻한 분위기라 좋았어요!

독일에서 다녀본 베트남 식당 중 제일 현지에 가까웠습니다. 짜지않고 양도 많고 국물과 소스맛이 정말 최고였습니다.

Super lecker! Hab mich so durch die Karte probiert. Mit Vorspeise, 2× Hauptgang (war mittags und abends da) und Nachtisch. Alles super lecker. Meine Begleitung hatte noch einen Kaffee nach "viatnamesischer art" und fand den sehr lecker (mit süßer kondensmilch). "Golden buddha" als Getränk ist auch sehr empfehlenswert (Maracuja-lichi-limo mit chia samen) sehr lecker. Bedienung ist nicht sonderlich aufdringlich. Laden ist gepflegt und ich war hier an einem Tag 2x essen so lecker war es. Kann ich echt empf3hlen 😋

Wir sind schon sehr oft (über mehrere Jahre hinweg) hier zum Essen gewesen und es schmeckt immer wieder sehr gut bei wirklich moderaten Preisen.

Pho Bay, eine herrliche (vegetarische) vietnamesische Küche, die immer wieder erneut Appetit macht. Auch die Tees und Limonaden munden sehr. Die Stimmung durch die Inneneinrichtung ist einfach nur schön.

Ok good. The spring rolls were partially burnt, I don’t think you should serve them to customers. The pho was ok but nothing excellent, the portion was big tho.

Schöner Laden, schneller und freundlicher Service, und das Essen war wirklich sehr gut! Bin rundum zufrieden gewesen.

Ein tolles Restaurant. Freundlicher Mitarbeit sowie ruckizucki Essen und Getränke am Tisch. Schönes Interieur. Mein Gericht (Nr. 30) war sehr lecker und ich mochte auch das Grüntee- bzw. Passionsfrucht-Mochi sehr. Preis-Leistung gut. Mir hat es gefallen und ich Komme gerne wieder.

Ich wurde bisher nicht enttäuscht! Schmeckt ziemlich gut. Gehe ab und an zum Mittagstisch hin und werde ausreichend satt ;-)

This is a very nice asian restaurant. I would definitely give it 5 starts if it had more vegan options. They have only one option that you need to ask for no egg in order to vegan the dish. Stuff is friendly and always welcome

Gemütliches Ambiente, authentische Küche, leckeres Essen und guter Service. Kundenwünsche werden gerne berücksichtigt. Die Suppen finde ich besonders schmackhaft 🍜 Unter der Woche wird Mittagsmenü angeboten.

Great Vietnamese food and lovely service

Ordered a bowl of pho with beef. Beef wasn’t raw, was very chewy, bad cut of beef totally overcooked. Broth was tasteless. Almost no veggies floating about. One of the worst phos I ever had. Staff was pretty friendly though.

Waren zur Mittagszeit da und hatten das Mittagsmenü. Sehr lecker und kam alles super schnell. Die Vorsuppe mit Kokosmilch war ein Gedicht und auch der Hauptgang war sehr lecker. Dazu ein alkoholfreier Cocktail und perfekt war ein schöner Mittag.

Leckeres Essen und freundlicher Service. Wir waren zur Mittagszeit hier und haben uns sehr über das Mittagsangebot gefreut. Vorweg gibt es dann nämlich eine Suppe. In unserem Fall eine Suppe mit Kokosmilch. Wir saßen draußen und es wurde alles sehr schnell zubereitet.

The best Vietnamese food I've tried in Berlin so far! The atmosphere and food here are great. I highly reccomend trying one of the large soup options, my favorite is with Wantans (#23). PHO BAY is also a great option to order delivery with Lieferando. All the food is packed seperately and with cardboard pieces as insulation to keep cold items cold, and hot items hot. Liquid items are carefully packed and wrapped so that they never spill, insuring a restaraunt quality meal at home. This really impressed me because I've had problems with delivery from other restaraunts before.

One of the best Vietnamese places I've been to so far in Berlin, really recommend their Yuzu lemonade.

Sehr nettes Ambiente mit gemütlichen warmen Farben. Leider sehr viele Hocker ohne Rückenlehne. Das Essen war Okay, aber nicht umwerfend. Zutaten zum Verfeinern wie Soyasauce würden zum Essen leider nicht auf dem Tisch gestellt.

Wir sind schon seit vielen Jahren Gast hier. Die Gerichte schmecken ausgezeichnet und der Service ist top.

Vor 10 Jahren ging ich hier regelmässig essen und habe das Pho geliebt und hab mich sehr gefreut mal wieder hier hin kommen zu können. Und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht, Pho super lecker und auch der Limettensaft ist sehr lecker. Und sehr liebe Bedienung, freue mich schon auf nächstes Mal. Danke :-)

So ein schöner und gemütlicher Ort!🥰 Wir wurden schnell und top bedient💓 Das Essen schmeckt mega gut und die Stäbchen sind super vernünftig (man kann sie richtig gut greifen, selbst, wenn man kein Profi ist💪🏽) Wir waren mit unserem Hund dabei und alles lief tipi topi! Sogar noch ein kleiner sußer Hund war dort🐶💓. Sie sind super tierfreundlich. So wunderschön! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder🥰 Vielen Dank!!!

Ganz ok, zu teuer im Vergleich mit ähnlichen Restaurants, geschmacklich langweilig und kein besonderes Geschmackserlebnis. Man muss ein zweites Mal hier nicht essen gehen, ist allerdings alles Geschmackssache. Verschiedene PHO werden angeboten und sehr große Portionen, jedoch wie erwähnt geschmacklich fade, standard bzw. nichts besonderes. Andere Gerichte relativ klein, standard im Geschmack. Tee fuer 4.90 Euro pro Tasse ist extremer Wucher, wenn mal ne Zitrone und Ingwer drinnen sind muss man nicht unbedingt 10xfach Gewinn erzeugen, 3.50 wie üblich sind mehr als genug. Viel Erfolg weiterhin.

Tolle Suppen. Gutes Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis. Kann man gut empfehlen.

Leckeres Essen zum guten Preis. Viele glutenfreie Optionen, das Personal kann weiß über die Inhaltsstoffe bescheid und ich komme gerne wieder.

Hab richtig leckeres Pho mit Tofu und Gemüse gehabt, das glutenfrei war. Der Kellner war sehr hilfreich und nett. Wir werden gerne nochmals hingehen.

Auf der Suche nach einem kleinen Snack an einem sonnigen Dienstag Nachmittag sollte es eigentlich ein Stück Kuchen werden, doch das Schicksal wollte es anders… Das Cafe hatten entgegen der Info bei Google geschlossen, uns zog es weiter. Zu erst zu einem Mexikaner, dessen Mitarbeiterin unmotiviert mit Ihrem Smartphone in der Ecke saß, die Tür war noch nicht zugefallen und wir wieder draußen. Ein paar Meter weiter leuchtete uns Pho Bay an… ja, wieso nicht?! Wow… welch ein Genuß, phänomenale Überraschung, spontan, aus dem Nichts, ohne Glutamat und richtig lecker. Das Team war dazu sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Vielen Dank.
