I'm giving the chicken soup a 5; without it, it would have been a 4. We ordered ginger lemonade, but there was no ginger in it.

Delicious vietnamese restaurant in Berlin, not far from the train station. Many vegetarian options with good portions ! The price is very fair for that much quantities, would recommend 100% if you want to eat great vietnamese food in Berlin.

they dealt with my issue very well despite neither me or the waiters speaking the same language. They had a bottle of chilli sauce labelled gluten free which was actually you sin which had gluten. I put some in my soup and then realised maybe it wasn’t chilli. They swapped my pho and didn’t charge me. Thanks for the nice lunch

Warning for people with allergies!! Ordered nr 2 with shrimp. On menu it is without peanuts. We got two servings both with peanuts in them. Pointed it out as one in company has bad allergies. Server took it in to kitchen and came back and said ”now without peanuts ” Took a bite and hidden inside again peanuts. Didn’t compensate and really bad service from servers, with excuse ”o chef didn’t understand”. It is allergies take it serious! Super unprofessional restaurant.

In terms of taste, the food was actually pretty good. The fundamental problem, however, was that the iced tea I ordered was sweetened with honey and not, as stated on the menu, with cane sugar. This meant that it was unfortunately undrinkable for me, as I personally don't like honey. If the cane sugar had been out, they could have politely pointed out that it would otherwise be replaced with honey. Unfortunately, that wasn't done... So far, not so bad, it can happen. The much worse thing, however, is that I have a nut allergy and therefore specifically chose a dish that was WITHOUT nuts. A further look at the allergen list at the end confirmed that there shouldn't actually be anything there. So when the dish was served, I wondered why my mouth was tingling, itching, and slightly swollen. At first, I thought I was imagining it, but hidden beneath the garnish of the dish were a lot of finely chopped peanuts. In my opinion, this was very careless and could have ended badly. Luckily, I wasn't allergic enough to have serious consequences. Apart from this experience, the service was very friendly! Unfortunately, card payments weren't possible either, which surprised me a lot for a restaurant like this.

Very tasty! We've been coming here for years. Very tasty dishes at super fair prices. I highly recommend the vegetarian dishes (e.g., the seitan skewers). The beef udon and the soups (pho bo, vegetable soups) are also very good. Service is always super friendly!

I ordered crispy duck with peanut sauce, and the peanut sauce didn't taste good at all; it was also very western. The soup wasn't that tasty either, but I'll come back and try it again. The service was very nice.

I was there today with my boyfriend, and we each had a starter and a main course. In summary, the food is okay, but there are better Vietnamese restaurants in terms of taste. For starters, I had the Vietnamese mini pizza (more like a regular-sized omelet) and a coconut soup. Both dishes were absolutely solid in terms of taste. For the main course, however, I had the grilled beef fillet with teriyaki sauce, which tasted quite good. My boyfriend had crispy duck with peanut sauce. Neither the duck was crispy, nor did the peanut sauce taste like peanuts. The servers were very nice and accommodating, though. The decor is okay, but not inviting.

I was here with my 3 friends and elder sister on my 16th birthday. The Waitress was extremely nice and Friendly, Greeting us with a smile and calling all of us beautiful more than once. The service was great we were immediately Given menus and the Food as well as the drinks got delivered very fast, little to no Waiting time. The Food not only looked delicious, but was luxurious, i was very sad we weren't able to finish it all. The prices are affordable and are definitely cheap for the amount of delicious food you are given. A 10/10 i would recommend at all times.

A real gem with a large selection of Vietnamese restaurants. Fine, cozy, with fair prices for huge portions. In addition, the food was prepared very quickly and freshly, and the service was friendly. My dish with chicken and flat rice noodles was super tasty, meat was tender and juicy, salad was crunchy and noodles were also very tasty!!!

Today I went to eat at Chodong again with a friend. I'm absolutely thrilled. 🤩 The service was great and the food was incredibly delicious 🤤. Our two main courses were also beautifully presented. Since I forgot to take a photo, it's unfortunately missing from my review. But that's okay, because I'll definitely eat there again in the next few days and, of course, take a photo 😇. The prices are also perfectly reasonable. I'm looking forward to my next visit. 😻

Today was my first time in person at the restaurant, after previously having the pleasure of tasting it at a friend's house. I've rarely experienced such a firework of freshness on my palate. The portions were perfectly and elegantly presented. A feast for the eyes. The service was very friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back soon. This restaurant impresses across the board. The service is exceptionally fast and attentive, so there is hardly any waiting time. The food is not only visually appealing, but tastes excellent. The summer rolls with duck meat as a starter are particularly recommended – fresh, aromatic and perfectly balanced. The price-performance ratio is also very good: high-quality ingredients and excellent preparation at fair prices. Clear recommendation! The only negative point from my point of view: "Cash only" - although this is pointed out directly on the door and the savings bank is in sight.

Chodong is a Thai restaurant that serves very tasty and fresh dishes. Four years ago, my girlfriend and I were very enthusiastic about the restaurant from the start. The quality is still very good and the prices are very fair. A great restaurant in Friedrichshain at Ostkreuz.

Super tasty! You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. Very balanced seasoning the taste of everything comes out very well. You will remain full and smiling after enjoying it.

By far one of the best Asian restaurants I've eaten at in recent years. I paid just €11 for the Holy Chicken at lunch and was served a total of 4 dishes with 3 friends in less than 10 minutes. The curry coconut milk sauce was particularly outstanding! The service was very friendly and, as already mentioned, the food was served very quickly. Unfortunately, people tend to only forgive negative reviews, but forget to praise good things. That's what I want to do with this!

The food was very terrible. The soup gave me a stomach ache in the restaurant. The pho soup was also barely spicy and the filling of the dumplings was barely cooked through. My friend didn't like his food either. The only good thing was the service. They were very friendly and accommodating. Overall, the expensive prices are not worth it for the quality of the food.

Pretty Asian restaurant with many specialties and a varied menu. Our dishes were very tasty and beautifully presented. Staff was friendly and attentive. The Asian pizza (filled and fried rice paper) was really special, you have to try it.

Yesterday we had dinner with friends at this restaurant. I ate rice and tofu with curry. My friends similar options, even vegetarian options. Quiet atmosphere, good food, good price and waiters who attend you very well in everything you need. We highly recommend it.

The Pho here is really delicious and filling. It only gets quite cold in the winter because the heaters aren't on and in the summer it's difficult to get the sun or it's covered by the awnings - so I would rate the ambience as just okay
