Hier gibt's leckere, typisch Pfälzische Gerichte. Mann kann gut draußen sitzen und die Location bietet sich prima für eine Pause an wenn man mit dem Rad den Rhein entlang fährt.

Wir waren schon mehrfach hier und sind immer wieder begeistert. Sehr nettes Personal, wirklich leckeres und nett angerichtetes Essen. Beste Rieslingschorle - frisch und spritzig. Die Bänke und Tische sind recht alt,da könnte man dran arbeiten. Auf jeden Fall kommen wir wieder mit dem Rad aus Mutterstadt hierher😀

Gäste mit Hund sind nicht so gerne gesehen,  das bekommt man dann auch recht barsch zu spüren. Das Essen ist okay, die Preise auch.

Wir fahren sehr gerne mit dem Fahrrad zum Pfälzerwald Verein. Das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker und für jeden ist etwas dabei 😋 Preis Leistung top 👍

Wir sind sehr gerne dort. Essen und Auswahl sehr gut. Preis Leistung super. Es ist immer lustig, man kommt immer ins Gespräch mit anderen. Vor allem Mal eine Brezel essen, lohnt sich. Besser als vom Bäcker 😉. Ambiente sehr einfach, aber mit ein wenig Deko auf den Tischen nett gemacht. Viel Platz auch zum draußen sitzen. Wenn man in der Nähe ist, lohnt es sich, da unbedingt eine Pause zu machen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. 👍🏼

Biergarten mit SB wie vor 20 Jahren, sehr genial!! Tolles Essen, zB richtig leckerer Pfälzer Teller, und das zu mehr als fairen Preisen!

Wie immer sehr lecker, habe noch nie so gute Schnitzel gegessen die waren sowas von gut das man den jenigen ein Dankschön sagen muss der es gemacht hat. Schnitzel wo durch sind bekommt man nicht überall. Dankschön fürs Leckere Essen. Mein Herz schlägt für den Pfälzer Wald Verein.

Ich war mit den Arbeitskollegen zum Mittagessen dort. Ambiente und Service waren soweit ok. Mein Essen dagegen war ungenießbar. Hatte einen Salat mit Hähnchen. Der Dressing schmeckte widerlich. Keine Ahnung ob das noch niemand aufgefallen ist und wahrscheinlich schmeckt der "Koch" das auch nicht ab. Irgendwie hat es alles zusammen vergammelt geschmeckt. Hatte den Teller nach wenigen Bissen dan stehen lassen. Wie die anderen Gerichte schmecken, kann ich leider nicht beurteilen.

Sehr gute Leberknödel guter Wein und alles bezahlbar

Bestes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für Hausmannskost. Gleiches gilt für die typischen Getränke (saure Rieslingschorle etc ). Pfälzer Lebensart in Reinkultur: Fröhlichkeit und nette Gespräche mit angenehmen Tischnachbarn an frischer Luft. Spielplatz für die Kleinen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Idealer Ort außerhalb der Stadt mit kurzem Anfahrtsweg , sowohl mit Pkw als auch Fahrrad. Regionale Küche zu humanen Preisen in ländlicher Umgebung nahe des Rheins…

Leckeres Essen, gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, sehr nettes Personal, wir kommen immer sehr gerne vorbei.

Ein schönes Fleckchen Erde um gemütlich zu entspannen. Hier trifft man immer nette Leute und kommt ganz einfach in ein Gespräch. Selbst ist die Frau, denn hier ist Selbstbedienung angesagt. Innerhalb kurzer Wartezeit bekommt Man(n)/Frau das Gewünschte. Das Essen ist ausgesprochen lecker 😋 Ich komme hier sehr gerne her

Tolle Hütte vom PWV.Die Bedienung ist wirklich nett,Essen klasse - viele typisch Pfälzer-Gerichte,sehr lecker.Preislich top. Eine der wenigen Hütten die mit dem Auto ohne weitere Strecken zu Fuß leicht zu erreichen sind. Bei sonnigen Wetter oft voll (leicht nachvollziehbar) trotzdem super schnell und immer freundlich. Ich mag die PEV-Oppau 😊

Einer der schönsten Plätze zum einkehren, lecker Essen und Trinken, was will man mehr. Wem es nicht gefällt, einfach zu Hause bleiben ;).

An ideal destination for cycling tours. Plenty of home-cooked food at reasonable prices. Everything is self-service.

Despite BASF being nearby, it's a really nice opportunity to meet nice people. The food is very good and plentiful. One star deducted because the quality of the bratwurst has declined.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

If you know and appreciate the PWV atmosphere, this is the place for you. Down-to-earth and good food, decent wine spritzers, and a lovely outdoor seating area, weather permitting. The four of us were here today and were extremely satisfied.👍🏻

Everything the Palatinate child writes is nonsense. If the food were so bad, the Palatinate Forest Association wouldn't give out so much. The food is good, and the prices are fair. Drinks are also reasonably priced, which is why so many retirees come for dinner. If the food were so bad, no one would go there anymore. But it's busy every day, and a lot of food goes through the table. Keep up the good work.

The location is really good, and the restaurant benefits from it. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined rapidly in recent months. The daily specials are truly inedible, and some of them are even convenience foods. Unfortunately, criticism isn't accepted, so regulars have to accept their own conclusions. "One owner has one restaurant, one customer, but dozens..." What a shame...

The only location in the Lu'hafen area with a lovely beer garden. The food and drinks are good and affordable. Guests (most of them, anyway) and the staff are great... Palatine, that's what you get...

We love coming here; you always meet nice people, even if they're strangers. You somehow end up striking up a conversation. We think the food is very good, as is the price. Thanks to the service, who are always cheerful. It's a place where tips should be rewarded, which we do. We have nothing to complain about 😊

It was absolutely delicious, very reasonably priced, and the staff were extremely friendly and personable. I couldn't say anything negative; I'd be happy to go back.

It's great that they have high chairs! Unfortunately, we had to change our 6-week-old twins outside in the cold weather! When we asked, we were told to go outside and change the little ones either outside or in the car! Is that even possible?

If you’re looking for a place to take a break during your Fahrrad tour, this spot does the job. The drinks are reasonably priced, the food is straightforward German fare, and there’s a sunny area where you can sit and unwind. Nice excursion destination, many beautiful paths lead here on foot or by bike. (also accessible by car) Food is delicious and the price is right. Waiting time is acceptable. Always happy☺️

Update 05/25: The price of the Riesling spritzer has increased to 4.50, but the pouring is generous. The generous portions from before seem to be a bit smaller and I would only rate the quality of the pork meat as being excellent as usual. Still fair and always worth a detour. Still 5 stars with small drawbacks. ---- Today at the “Mettessen” (every 3rd Sunday of the month in the winter months) simply brilliant quality. That's why I have to add a star! By the way, a real Palatinate wine spritzer for 3.60 Euiro is simply phenomenal!!! Very inexpensive and down to earth. Anyone who likes Palatinate home cooking and a “hut atmosphere” should definitely try it! Tip: The “Pfälzer Weinspritzer” is not suitable for drivers ;-) PS: Anyone who only gives one star here has not understood the “Palatinate hut culture”!

Stopped there today on a bike tour, I had the daily menu: stuffed Maultaschen with braised onions and asparagus with Hollandaise sauce. Very tasty and would be happy to come back at any time. If you feel like home-style cooking, you can stop by here on a hike or bike tour.

Nice staff, very good sausage salad, fresh bread and at a reasonable price in a clean environment. We would be happy to come back and have a good time in the PWV atmosphere.

Cycling tours, what an experience! The guests are open to conversation and are happy to talk about how the forest association came about. Cyclists, beware of the regional specialty: PfälzerShorle (0.5L white wine with a dash of water) ^^ Extremely hospitable, although unfortunately without table service. So order food at the counter, take drinks with you and pick up the food yourself when called.

Price performance, super good home cooking. You will be called when you have ordered and you will receive your food fairly quickly. You can sit outside very nicely and it's definitely worth a visit again.

Unfortunately it is a very dubious business. We wanted to hold a big celebration there, everything was discussed and agreed with the owner. After 3 months we were simply canceled. We were left with costs.

The current weekly dish - white cheese with fresh chives, cooked new potatoes (triplets), liver sausage from the ring - was a small sensation for me today: unusual combination that tastes very tasty and, not least, fills you up. Please add this dish to the 'normal' menu!!!

This is a really cool location with great food and people. Everything is completely authentic, just as a beer garden or hiking hut should be. Super great.

Very nice beer garden, but also comfortable to sit inside. Prices are not excessive and the portions are perfectly fine. At the Palatinate Forest Association you can expect good quality, down-to-earth Palatinate food and you won't be disappointed here. 5 Stars!

Self-service concept but always worth a trip there.

The food is just as expected, good German home cooking! Unfortunately, one criticism must be mentioned that the food is announced by number over the loudspeaker and these announcements are difficult or unclear to hear, depending on where you are seated. On busy days, you should definitely bring your time. Still worth a visit.

Good food and drinks are offered here for a very fair price. The outdoor area is very nice and there are very good play opportunities for children. Definitely recommended.

I like to sit outside here. The food is Palatinate. The prices are moderate. I like to help myself to that.

It's self-service here. That's why only one star for service. It's actually wrong to give one star here because everyone has to be clear that they have to help themselves here. The price-performance ratio is great. And the taste is also very good. I can only recommend.

Very good food and I felt very comfortable

How great that this restaurant is near us! Something very special. Easy to reach by bike, beautiful surroundings, tasty lunch and delicious cake, friendly staff - and so far always very nice people sitting next to you, with whom you quickly got into conversation... Just like the hald inn de Palz eats. 🙂 If every now and then you have to wait a little longer for your food, it's only because - apart from yourself - many other people there like it and taste it just as much.

Great location for the Palatinate Forest Association. Lots of space inside and outside covered. And at prices that are no longer available anywhere else. We had two milk coffees and a hot chocolate. And were wet from cycling in the rain. No problem. Very clean toilets. So gladly again 😊

Rustic and cozy - really nice, the people there - we can only recommend it. Food is quintessentially Palatinate, but even if you don't like it that much, you'll find what you're looking for. Especially nice in summer when you can sit outside and party.

This true down home cooking. If you're looking for authentic Pfälzer cuisine this is it . Great atmosphere. Being born in Oppau but living in Canada 60 odd years this has Oma stamped all over it . And let's not forget the reasonable prices . Keep up the great work. See you in May 😋

We actually like going there, but last time the staff was really unfriendly. After an hour of waiting (a soup), the appetite was gone. The statement would be that it is busy and stressful. Yes, understandable, but who hasn't, my job is just as stressful. Embarrassing a customer in an unfriendly manner is not a good manner. (by making an announcement over the microphone). A bit of professional interaction in the catering industry would be desirable. The bad thing is that enough people come by and don't have to rely on us. Nevertheless, despite stress, you can still treat people with kindness and appreciation. It's a shame, but try to be a little nicer to those around you. All the best!

Have eaten there several times, the food is great. The only thing that bothers us is that you aren't allowed to bring your dogs in. But otherwise super friendly staff.

Unfortunately, the food is not a good choice at this restaurant. If I want ready-made food, I go somewhere else. There is a lot of room for improvement here. Is the job still fun? The service is okay, but it can also be improved. The ambience can be made more loving. Nothing is being done here. A pity.

Hier bekommt man noch sehr gutes und günstiges Pfälzer Essen und günstige Getränke. Es ist Selbstbedienung, was bedeutet, dass man Essen und Getränke selbst am Tresen abholt und später auch wieder abräumt. Daher können auch die Preise günstig gehalten werden. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne hierher

Haben es heute durch Zufall entdeckt und wir werden wieder kommen. Sehr lecker und preislich top.

Es ist eine Hütte des Pfälzer Wald Vereins. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Draußen sitzt man auf Bierbänken, und wenn es voll ist, auch mal mit Fremden an der selben Bank. Die dann gar nicht so lange fremd bleiben. Drinnen ist es rustikal, sauber, und gar nicht mal so ungemütlich. Es herrscht Selbstbedienung. Anders wären die Preise auch gar nicht möglich. Die Getränke bekommt man sofort, für das Essen einen Bon mit Nummer, die über Lautsprecher ausgerufen wird. Ja, wenn sehr viel los ist, kann es mit dem Essen dauern. Wer keine Lust hat, das mit ein, zwei Getränken zu überbrücken, ist hier vielleicht nicht so gut aufgehoben. Die Speisekarte besteht schwerpunktmäßig aus Saumagen, Leberknödel und Bratwurst in allen erdenklichen Kombinationen. Es gibt aber auch Flammkuchen und Tagesgerichte. Letztere manchmal sogar ohne Fleisch. Eine Gruppe Veganer wird hier sicher nicht glücklich. Was diese Gaststätte ausmacht, ist die Qualität der pfälzischen Klassiker. Leberknödel, Saumagen und Bratwurst in Metzgerqualität. Das Sauerkraut mit Lorbeerblättern, Wacholderbeeren, ein wenig Speck, so wie es sein muss. Das dazu gereichte Brot kommt vom Bäcker und nicht vom Discounter. Die Zwiebelsoße ist selbst gemacht und nicht aus dem Eimer. Ich hätte nicht die geringste Idee, was man noch verbessern könnte. Und das Ganze zu einem Preis, der seinesgleichen sucht. Eine kleine Warnung sei dennoch ausgesprochen: Zwei Schorle in der dort verabreichten Mischung können, an einem warmen Sommertag zügig genossen, auch geübte Trinker aus der Bahn schießen. Wer noch Auto fahren muss oder nicht in der Pfalz aufgewachsen ist, möge unter Umständen ein anderes Mischungsverhältnis verlangen.

Leckere Gerichte uns natürlich auch Getränke aus der Pfalz zu super günstigen Preisen. Danke für dieses schöne Lokal. Zum wohl!

Heute das erste mal dort eingekehrt. Sehr zu empfehlen. Hatten heute nur einen Snack, aber das nächste mal probieren wie was „Richtiges“, da alles lecker aussah und gut gerochen hat.

Ausflugslokal mit Biergarten... Die Maultaschen waren lecker zum stimmigen Preis... Und als Dessert eine prima Schwarzwälder... Einfache, hüttenähnliche Ausstattung... Manchmal eher etwas älteres Publikum... Sehr gerne wieder... Alles passt...
