ONAMI Sushi Modern Kitchen in Frankenthal (Pfalz)

Wir waren an einem Freitagabend zu viert dort essen. Der Service war leider recht langsam. Das Sushi war in Ordnung, hat uns aber nicht besonders überzeugt. Etwas überrascht waren wir vom Algensalat: Die Portion war sehr klein und wurde zusammen mit Rettich serviert. Diese Kombination kannten wir bisher nicht und fanden sie eher ungewöhnlich.

Uns wurde das leckere Sushi dort empfohlen. Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Mega lecker und frisch .. Definitiv eine Empfehlung.

Ich liebe alle Gerichte hier, aber meine absolute Empfehlung sind die Sommerrollen mit Garnelen, das Lachstartar & jede Sushi Variation, die für einen hier gezaubert wird!

Ein sehr modernes Restaurant mit gutem Ambiente. Für Kleinstadt Verhältnisse kann das Restaurant viel bieten. Die Menüauswahl war groß und das Essen war überraschend gut. Sehr weiterzuempfehlen..

An sich lecker wirklich aber für den Preis ist definitiv noch was raus zu holen

Leider bei uns auch durchgefallen. Service leider für uns so gar nicht kundenfreundlich. Wir bestellten telefonisch. Da wir uns nicht besonders mit Sushi auskennen und auf der Speisekarte leider nur die Sushinamen standen fragten wir nach. Es kam leider keine richtige Aussage was nun was sei. Vielleicht war auch viel zu tun. Wir entschieden uns letztendlich für die Platte für 47€. Dachten da ist bestimmt für alle was dabei. Sonst essen wir Sushi nur im Yaomi in Frankfurt. Vielleicht sind wir diesbezüglich auch sehr verwöhnt was Sushi angeht. Auf der Homepage stand das 10% bei Selbstabholer AUTOMATISCH abgezogen wird. Bei 47€ also 4.70€. Angekommen, reingegangen, nicht mal ein Hallo von allen 3 Mitarbeitern. Wenigstens war das Sushi fertig. Bei der Zahlung dann, wie ich es mir schon gedacht habe, kein Abzug. Für mich ist das schon fast Betrug. Denn es sollte doch "AUTOMATISCH" abgezogen werden. Darauf angesprochen ein "hab vergessen". Die Rechnung wurde dann auf 43€ gesenkt. Ich will hier nicht pingelig sein, aber 10% weniger wären 42,30€. Mir war das dann zu blöd hier weiter zu reden. Essen war ok. Nicht der Renner aber frisch und lecker. Aber viel zu wenig Ingwer für solch eine Sushi Portion. Uns hat es nicht überzeugt und daher nur der 1 Stern für die Pünktlichkeit.

Ich kann diese neue Firmenkultur nicht verstehen. Die Gäste werden oder du angesprochen! Ich Frage mich jedes Mal ironisch, in wir uns kennen! Eigentlich nein! Ansonsten war meubw Bestellung lecker...

Ich habe noch NIE so ein leckeres Essen gegessen die Bedienung ist super net ich empfehle euch die Sushi Platte würde auf jeden Fall nochmal hin gehen es ist einfach super

Super Restaurant. Werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Das Essen ist Geschmacklich super und wird immer toll angerichtet.

Schön angerichtetes Essen. Ein guter Wein liegt jedoch bei ca. 10 Euro das Glas.

Wir haben einen Gutschein im Wert von 50€ geschenkt bekommen. Ein paar Monate später bin ich schwanger geworden, sodass Sushi Essen natürlich nicht infrage kam. Als wir den Gutschein nach der Geburt dann einlösen wollten, hieß es, der sei abgelaufen, da über 1 Jahr alt. Klar, ist rechtlich zulässig den Gutschein zu befristen, aber wenn 3 Jahre noch nicht abgelaufen sind, muss ein Teil des Gutscheins erstattet werden, sonst handelt es sich um eine „ungerechtfertigte Bereichrung“ (Das Geld nehmen sie natürlich und nach 13 Monaten bekommst du keine Gegenleistung mehr dafür). So kann man auch sein Geld verdienen, rechtswidrig ist es trotzdem. Ich habe dann angerufen und um Kulanz gebeten, wurde rigoros abgelehnt. Ich kann nur jedem abraten, hier einen Gutschein zu kaufen, es ist sehr ärgerlich!

Ein sehr lauter Ort, wenn es voll ist. Hab mein eigenes Wort nicht verstanden. Die Akustik müsste verändert werden. Mit einem gemütlichen Abend hatte das leider nichts zu tun. Essen ok. Sushi war nicht schlecht. Schön angerichtet.

We've eaten there many times, but we've also ordered takeout. We love sushi, and Omami's is truly outstanding in terms of quality and selection. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. The staff is friendly and competent. Our favorite sushi restaurant!

Beautiful interior design; you immediately feel comfortable and at ease. The food tastes amazing and is lovingly presented, very cute (I recommend the vegetarian gyoza). The homemade lemonade is so good, it tastes exactly as you'd imagine. I'm absolutely thrilled! Perfect for a date or a spontaneous get-together.

I was there for the first time today. The atmosphere is really lovely, the staff friendly, and the food delicious. However, I can't stay there for several hours because the benches are quite uncomfortable after a while. They're rather low, and you can't lean back. But that's no reason not to go again. 😜😂 It was a thoroughly enjoyable visit that I would gladly repeat.

I was very disappointed. The service was terrible, the staff were incredibly unfriendly. Furthermore, the food was only satisfactory. The beef in the soup unfortunately tasted only of pure fat. To top it all off, the entire visit reeked of a sewage drain. I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant.

The Onami sushi restaurant has a modern interior and makes a very good first impression. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience truly pleasant. However, I would have liked to see a bit more quality and attention to detail in the food itself. Some of the plates seemed overloaded with too many frills and cold decorative elements that distracted from the actual sushi. I think it would be better if they focused more on the essentials – the freshness and flavor of the sushi. The sushi tasted okay, but for the prices, it wasn't quite as impressive as I had hoped. Overall, though, it's a nice place with good service.

We used the beer garden. It could have been a bit cleaner. Sweeping and wiping down the tables would have been good. The food was okay, but nothing special.

Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food, but the service and the processing of vouchers are a disaster. We gave our boss a voucher, which, after consulting the restaurant manager, was sent online and assured that this was possible. Unfortunately, the voucher has been rejected several times by the restaurant. After contacting them via email (the manager isn't reachable by phone and isn't in the restaurant), they offered an apology but no solution. I've been waiting for weeks for a response regarding the next steps. Absolutely disastrous service and communication. Better not to buy vouchers here!!!

The huge beer garden under large, shady trees is simply fantastic. The food was also amazing!

The dishes were excellent and arrived at our table in a very short time, which we appreciated. The place was clean and nicely decorated, with warm lighting that created a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, our experience was somewhat overshadowed by the service. Even though the restaurant was almost empty, we had a hard time getting served. There was no willing staff to help us order, which caused delays and dissatisfaction. Overall, Onami offers quality food in a beautiful space, but clearly needs improvement in the area of customer service.

You can order food and take it with you. But they would add Asian ingredients. For example, bamboo, soybeans, etc.

Unfortunately, it's not our taste. I just spent €50 on raw chicken and old salad leftovers... Luckily, my wife was there ;)

We were there last week for my wife's birthday and were very pleased. The staff was very friendly, the food exceeded my expectations, and the ambiance was very modern. I would love to come back again and am excited to visit the beer garden in the summer.

The food is very tasty, and there are also lunch specials with appetizers. The service is very good. The smell in the restrooms is annoying, and rarely permeates the dining room.

Absolutely overpriced, some of them are delivered fresher for less money! I was here for the last time!

We were visiting Frankenthal and spontaneously pre-ordered online at 6 p.m. to pick up at 6:30 p.m. We ordered the mix set twice for 1 person. My husband ate sushi for the first time and was very impressed. I also liked it very much. Everything was beautifully presented. We will definitely order again or even eat there again.

First the wrong food was brought, sweet potato fries instead of king prawns. After the complaint the same fillet steak, the shrimp not cooked through. The steak was impossible to cut, streaked with silver skin. Overall very disappointing. At least the waitress apologized and didn't charge for the course. Starter was ok, but 2-3 stars.

ACHTUNG: ONAMI - MODERN SUSHI - FRANKENTHAL - RECHTSWIDRIGES VERHALTEN Unser Tisch war am Treppenaufgang zu den Toiletten und der Küche. Hier stinkt es extrem nach Kanalisation und nach Kläranlage. Der Gedanke in der Nähe der Küche ist schon sehr erlisch. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr unhöflich, überheblich, arrogant und man muss ewig warten, bis man bedient wird oder jmd zum Bezahlen kommt. Hier mussten wir mehrfach nachfragen. Wir waren mit 2 kleinen Kindern da und die haben ja in der Regel weniger Geduld. Wir hatten einen Gutschein, der 7 Wochen vorher abgelaufen war (er hatte eine rechtswidrige Gültigkeit von nur einem Jahr). Wir haben darauf hingewiesen, dass wir seit über 8 Wochen krank waren, was ja mit 2 kleinen Kindern im Winter keine Seltenheit ist. Dennoch wurde unser Gutschein nicht akzeptiert. Es wurde meine Telefonnummer notiert und gesagt, dass der Chef sich bei mir melden wird und man dann nach einer Lösung suchen wird und wir ggf. Das Geld von ihm erstattet bekommen werden. Ich habe in der Zwischenzeit mehrfach dort angerufen und auch eine eMail geschrieben, aber der Chef lässt sich verleugnen und redet nicht mit uns. Warum schreiben Sie dann überhaupt proaktiv unsere Handynummer auf? Auf der Homepage der Verbraucherschutzzentrale steht ganz klar, dass eine Gültigkeit eines Restaurant Gutscheins von nur einem Jahr rechtswidrig ist und dass in einem solchem Fall die 3 Jahre Gültigkeit gelten. Dies kann man einfach nachlesen indem man folgende Suchkriterien eingibt (Gutschein Gültigkeit Verbraucherschutz). Ich kann keinen Link einsetzen, da das nicht erlaubt ist. Die Verbraucherschutzzentrale wird erst aktiv, wenn sich sehr viel mehr Leute darüber beschweren und einen Anwalt einzusetzen ist unwirtschaftlich, da dies teurer ist, als der Gutscheinwert. Das weiss das Restaurant auch und wird diese rechtswidrige Praxis weiterhin mit vielen weiteren Gästen fortsetzen. Das Restaurant ist absolut kundenunfreundlich und ihm ist es egal, weil sie nicht auf die Gäste angewiesen sind.

ATTENTION: ONAMI - MODERN SUSHI - FRANKENTHAL - UNLAWFUL BEHAVIOR Our table was at the stairs to the toilets and kitchen. It smells extremely like sewage and sewage treatment plants here. I find the benches without backrests very uncomfortable to sit on. The food was very simple (too little) and didn't taste as good as it did 2 years ago. The employees are very rude, arrogant, and you have to wait forever until you are served or someone comes to pay. We had to ask several times here. We were there with 2 small children and they usually have less patience. We had a voucher that had expired 7 weeks before (it was illegally valid for only one year). We pointed out that we had been sick for over 8 weeks, which is not uncommon in the winter with 2 small children. However, our voucher was not accepted. My phone number was noted and I was told that the boss would contact me and they would then look for a solution and, if necessary, we would get the money refunded from him. In the meantime I have called them several times and also written an email, but the boss is in denial and won't talk to us. Then why are you even proactively writing down our cell phone number? On the homepage of the consumer protection center it is clearly stated that a validity of a restaurant voucher for only one year is illegal and that in such a case the 3 year validity applies. Unfortunately I can't post the link, but it's easy to find (coupon valid for consumer protection).

The sushi was very good, the sea salt edamame lacked salt. The service was very nice and accommodating. The furnishings are very spartan. You sit on benches without backrests; very uncomfortable. What was really unpleasant, however, was the toilet: cobwebs, dirty toilet cubicles, smeared light switches and mountains of limescale in the sink. It's a shame, that drags down the visit. Please clean.

Tastes good and the food arrives very quickly

I actually love Onami and eat here regularly. However, we no longer order here. When we ordered we were told there would be a waiting time of approx. 1 hour. Of course we wait and understand if it takes longer. But after several calls and 3 hours later there was still no food. I have no idea what didn't work, but at some point my patience will run out. We now only eat on site.

A bitter disappointment – For the life of me, I can't understand the positive reviews! Why on earth does a restaurant that supposedly offers German cuisine serve sushi alongside pork rinds, sausage salad and schnitzel? This mixture is not only strange, but also completely unsuccessful. The service was simply a disaster - I've never experienced anything like it in my entire life! The waitress was completely unprofessional and seemed to have her thoughts everywhere except the guests. We were ignored even though the restaurant wasn't even full. The food also left a lot to be desired. Not only did we have to wait forever for our food, even after asking three times, the starter didn't come until the end. Two main courses were completely forgotten, so we had to share our sushi too. There was caviar on the “vegetarian” sushi! Why the hell is there fish on a vegetarian dish?! This is an absolute no-go. Nothing worked here and we definitely won't be coming back! It was nice that we got something sweet at the end.

Please don't even try the Wiener Schnitzel. The meat is 2mm thick, the rest is just breading. The beer garden itself is beautifully laid out.

The food was super tasty and the service was really nice. We'll definitely come back when we're nearby. Unfortunately there are only four stars for the ambience because there is still a bit of room for improvement when it comes to the look. In particular, the colorful flashing light was a bit disturbing and didn't match the otherwise high level.

We were there for the first time today. The ambience of the restaurant is very appealing and makes you look forward to the meal. The waiters were very personable and quick to take orders. The children's starter arrived in 10 minutes and appeased their hungry mouths. The main course also arrived very quickly and was of the highest quality and taste. Very tasty food. I had the kimchi salad, it wasn't too sour and tasted very good. The fish from the sushi and all other ingredients were very fresh and had a great taste. There are the well-known sushi varieties served on beautiful plates, as well as other Japanese specialties. The service is friendly and the decor is Asian playful.
