Petit Fritz in München

A very nice shop with a small but very fine menu, we will definitely come back.

From the food to the ambience, it's great! My visit was worth it and Luis especially served me well! It's worth a visit.

My girlfriend and I wanted to spend a relaxing evening at Petit Fritz. But what happened next was simply unbelievable. For no reason at all, my friend was suddenly approached by a group of older women. When a table became available shortly afterwards, the situation escalated further - the group complained to the owner and demanded that we be thrown out. Without even listening to us, the waiter snatched the drinks out of our hands and we were thrown out of the bar in front of all the guests - for absolutely no reason. That's not how you treat guests! Anyone who expects fair and respectful treatment should avoid this bar.

Very, very nice service, delicious Cremont and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Real tip also for upscale afterwork :)!

Highly recommended, offering a fantastically delicious 😋 selection of French dishes at relatively reasonable prices. Unfortunately, the tables are occupied during traditional meal times.

The food was delicious, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We received excellent service. Unfortunately, the seating and table are relatively small, making it feel cramped. This is purely a matter of personal preference. It bothers me, but it's possible that some people find this kind of atmosphere perfect.

Having just arrived from Marrakesh, with the smell of spices still in my nose and grains of sand in my shoes, I stopped off in Munich before heading to Rotterdam - in search of new flavors in the city's harbor bars and market halls. But before we go there, there was a little detour to Paris here at Petit Fritz. The sourdough bread with eggplant - smoky, creamy, with just the right depth - and a Croque Madame as it should be: buttery, golden brown, with perfectly melted cheese and an egg that slowly ran across the plate at the first cut. Accompanied by a glass of white wine, it took you straight to an afternoon on the Seine. The service? Uncomplicated, charming, just right. A place where you stay longer than you originally intended - and still order one last glass. Munich, thank you for this little culinary trip to France. Thank you, Fritz.

Good shop, mostly good people, excellent food - you just have to get there early because you can't make a reservation.

Excellent food and great location. Gives you the feeling you are sitting in a small brasserie in Paris. Staff is also super friendly. Good selection of drinks and wines. They do not accept reservations but there is a waiting list. Make sure to come early to avoid disappointment if not getting a table.

We wanted to have dinner for the three of us on Friday evening. Reservation? None. Why a fancy store can't afford a reservation system? No idea. Instead, the statement: “Go quickly, you’ll have a table in two hours.” Sure, because I have nothing better to do than stand outside the door for two hours. Without a reservation? No thanks. If that's possible at some point, I'll think about trying it again.

The food is of high quality and tastes first class. You can always spend a lovely evening here in a lovely French atmosphere. Absolute heart recommendation!

The food is really delicious, but the service in the evening was unfortunately quite unfriendly. At lunchtime, however, the waiters were totally friendly and attentive. The system where you can't make a reservation is really annoying for the guests who have to sit right at the entrance - and it seems as if even the waiters are annoyed by it. I would recommend visiting around midday when there is less going on and the atmosphere is more relaxed.

Really cool place with delicious bites. Unfortunately, the waitress seems to be very aware that guests will come anyway thanks to the good reputation and therefore they don't have to make any effort. It would be nice to experience a little more appreciation - this can make a visit a 5-star experience.

I've been to Petit Fritz a few times. The restaurant is highly recommended for both lunch and dinner. Very nice, traditional atmosphere combined with very good service and delicious food. It is busy in the evenings and at lunchtime, so it is advisable to make a reservation, especially during peak times.

You can still spontaneously go out to eat here without a reservation!!!

I visited this restaurant for the first time with a friend and was impressed by the passion and commitment of the young team. A great atmosphere, excellent service and great food – an all-round inspiring experience!

Very good food for fish lovers. The service was great. The chairs could be more comfortable.

It’s super disappointing that the service is horrible. They sat us on a small high table that only fits 1 plate. He told us we need to have the main course 1 by 1. I asked him to bring both to try to fit and we eventually had to move to a bigger table. When I complained, the waiter said “everyone eats on these tables without a problem”. There was a 40 minute wait to get a table, which was fine as they don’t take reservations. We then had our appetizer and waited 30 mins for the main course - their service was beyond poor. It makes you feel like you are actually in Paris. Food was excellent - did not try the dessert as we just wanted to leave asap.

Outstanding service - very accommodating, explained everything in detail, were on point and super friendly! The food was also very tasty, the price was a bit higher but everything was still within reasonable limits! :) Always happy ☺️

Friday evening. 6:00 p.m. Directly after the entrance there are 5 people, obviously waiting for a seat. On one wall there are other people, each with a glass of wine in their hand, also waiting. In between there are 2.3 small tables, packed tightly together. Everything is very loud. At least on the weekend you don't need to go there... Therefore, the review does not refer to the food, service, at most the “ambience”. However, it's probably a good business idea, as you'll probably have had 2-3 glasses of wine before you've managed to get a seat.

Pretty authentic French restaurant. No reservations but still we got a table after about 30-45 min. on a Friday night. Very good tartar and steak as well as a decent selection of French wines.

On the night of November 26th, the oysters I ordered were smelly and there was no apology! As a result, after the child ate it, he had vomiting and diarrhea the next day. He went to the hospital urgently and spent a lot of emergency room expenses. However, due to the failure to recover for several consecutive days, the entire travel plan and itinerary were disrupted. To be blunt, the quality of this French food is really not good! If you have ever been to France, any French restaurant you can find will have more authentic food and warm reception than this restaurant! Are you still not allowed to make reservations in advance and engage in "hunger marketing"? Let customers wait in the cold wind! I will definitely not go there again!

Experience: A trip to Paris!! From the service to the food it was really very nice, professional and warm staff.

Last year I was very surprised that it was pointed out quite arrogantly that no vouchers were being sold. I was there with a friend on Saturday afternoon. As usual, it was very crowded. The decor is attractive and I was greeted warmly and given a seat at one of the high tables against the wall. The cremant was quite good. Overall, the service was rather chaotic and we decided not to eat there. I'll try to eat something there one more time. But really not a place to feel comfortable. More like seeing and being seen.

A very nice restaurant with very tasty food. I've been there a few times. However, I have to deduct a few stars because there is still no possibility of reservation. Even during the week if you don't come at peak times, we had to wait too long for a table, so we left again. You do something like that 1-2 times and then don't even try again. Too bad! I also found the fact that you have to stand at the front of the entrance area close to other people waiting until a table is free, especially in the colder season, to be unpleasant even if you are already seated (it gets tight and everyone is staring at your table/plate). The other way around is just as unpleasant as waiting. This has to be organized differently!

Great, sometimes unusual food, but always tasteful! Very friendly service and a chic atmosphere. It's possible that there's a lot of cheating going on here, but that's what sells the high-quality food.

A collection of "a thing on toast" dishes. The fish soup was great, the overall quality was outstanding. The prices are all the way up there, but for a fancy outing it's worth it.

Great little part of France in Munich. We had dinner here, and had to wait in a live queue to get a table. We ended up getting seated at the bar, which was honestly pretty good. We were talking to the bartenders, it was a pleasant evening. We had the mussels and they were just like in France. Overall, it was a pleasant evening and the atmosphere was great too. Felt like we were in France!

Great ambience! Enjoy your meal! Great service! I come here regularly - sometimes with friends, sometimes with family, but also for business appointments. The service is great - the young team is always friendly, quick and accommodating. The wine selection and advice is really very good. You cannot make a reservation here. You have to know that and just have some patience. After a (sometimes short, sometimes a little longer) wait with a glass of champagne or aperitif at the bar (outside in the summer, whatever is entertaining and really nice) you are seated. Good selection of oysters. It's always worth taking a look at the daily menu, but the standards on the menu are also very good. All the dishes (I really like the tartine with beetroot and Belper Knolle or the fish soup) are of very good quality.

Was eating at Petit last week... the atmosphere is really special and you feel like you're in Paris. Even though the place was full, the service was very attentive and not intrusive. There was nothing wrong with the food. My girlfriend raves about the beetroot tartine.

Very nice atmosphere. But somehow not a comfortable atmosphere. Lots of service staff, but they were very busy with themselves. Gin and tonic for €16 is also a proud price.

Bad oysters! Nice atmosphere and charming interior vibe but the food and service simply didn’t deliver. Order a few selections of oysters and all were dried out around the edges and chewy! This is for-sure giving me the feeling that they were old and not fresh, and the stomach issues I have today confirm this. Was brought still water when ordered sparkling. Had to ask 4 times for some orders items to be brought to the table. The service was friendly and warm, but really not very attentive in the end. The tuna special was good, at least. I would say it’s ok if you want to stop in for a drink but I would never eat oysters here again.

You have the feeling of being in a bistro in the middle of Paris. Both in terms of the look of the place and the food. Fantastic from start to finish (food, ambience and service). Attention for those who can't handle French authenticity, the tables are French sizes. As in France, everything fits on it, but you shouldn't expect the tables to be the size of a tavern.

Ah, le Petit Fritz! A piece of Paris in the middle of our beautiful Munich, where the chaos of everyday life meets the savoir-vivre. We, two friends on a culinary mission, were excited to see what this charming place had to offer. Reserve? Mon dieu, not possible! So we dutifully joined the queue, which took about 15 minutes of our lives before we were seated at a table that was so small that you could almost feel sorry for it, but it lived up to the name. The interior? Absolutely magnifique! You feel like you've entered a teleporter and landed straight into a Parisian bistro. The concept? Chapeau, 100% authentic! The menu promised a journey for the palate, but the reality was more of a small stumbling block on the Parisian cobblestones. We waited patiently, because in France, mes amis, you don't run after the waiter - no, you have to wave him over like an old friend! After about 35 minutes, we did the same and were served promptly (but you should be told that!). The tartines, which sounded like a culinary declaration of love on the menu, turned out to be shy flirtations - a slice of toast here, a bit of beetroot and salmon there. Maybe it's the Parisian vibe that asks no questions and gives no answers and you just have to know what you're ordering? For 60 euros we wanted a little more 'joie de vivre' on the plate. The crème brûlée was a consolation prize that ended the evening on a happy note. The place was buzzing with life, maybe breakfast is the better choice, or maybe it's just the French 'je ne sais quoi' that shouldn't be questioned. Once called into action, the staff was very courteous and quick.

A lovely spot for French food in Munich. The place gets very busy in the evening on any given day and there is usually a wait, but I'd say it's worth it. The staff, from the manager to the kitchen-hand were very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is somewhat high-end yet also cozy. We had brought a cake for a birthday and Max, one of the waiters gladly stored it for us in the fridge. When we got it back out we realized it was damaged, but one of the chefs quickly patched it up for us without a fuss. The quality of food here was great - both the tartar, fries and the roast beef were delicious - but when the staff go beyond to provide good service, that makes the experience all that better. Would highly recommend!

Small bistro with hotel connection. The Croque Madame was impressively large, actually tasty, but unfortunately still cold in the middle. The service was friendly, but seemed a bit sparse for my taste. Good coffee, automatically served with a glass of tap water.

What an awesome experience this was! The food was tasty, we went for the stake and fries, tomato salade and a crème brûlée for the dessert. The wine choice was lucky as well, Domaine Loew/Riesling. The atmosphere with the outside seating was so nice and the staff is really friendly :) It was quite busy on the Friday evening. Would recommend 10/10! :)

Fantastic food with wine accompaniment

Parisian flair in the middle of Munich!✨ The food and wine list are a 10/10. One point is deducted because of the sometimes long waiting times on weekends. (Unfortunately you cannot make a reservation here and are therefore forced to wait for a table) It is and remains one of my favorite restaurants :-)

The store was really great at the beginning, a nice alternative. When I was there today, I unfortunately found that the service was a disaster. Young waiters who take themselves a little too seriously (instead of the guest). Very inattentive, condescending, tartar brought without bread, long wait for it and we were there in the afternoon - non rush hour, as were many other aspects. There used to be a nice mix of audience, now only 20 year old girls (matching the waiters) for whom of course the philosophy of “first come first serve” doesn't apply, but rather guests don't get a seat or are squeezed into mini high tables because there are tables for 45 minutes are kept free “because someone is coming soon”. Food was being served at the next table, the ladies were in conversation and the waiter whistled in one lady's ear so that she would notice him and make room for the food?? What kind of behavior is this? The service is better in every Boazn. It's a shame because the food and location are good, but I won't go there again.

My order was really delicious, from the presentation to the taste it was an experience for me. The welcome was great, and so was the service. No reservation possible.

A really great restaurant where everything was excellent on my last visit. We stopped by spontaneously and were spoken to so nicely that we decided to stay there straight away. Our waiter took a lot of time to explain the menu and make a few recommendations for food and drinks. The kitchen and service were very quick, so we didn't have to wait long for drinks and food. The dishes are simple but the preparation is of high quality. The price is of course a little higher but not excessive. At first I thought the store was more illusory than real, but I was definitely wrong in my assessment.

Lovingly furnished brasserie with a small, delicious breakfast menu. The Americano has a round taste. Highly recommended, especially if you live in HOtello.

Very nicely decorated restaurant with a small winter garden area in the back. There is simple French cuisine that impresses with good quality. The Krokque Madame in particular are highly recommended and with every bite you feel an explosion of flavor and everything melts wonderfully in your mouth. Gladly again :)

You feel like God in France or like a grand seigneur on the Champs-Élysées, You just can't get more French cuisine ;-)!

It was impressively demonstrated to us how we are unwelcome guests and how unimportant good service is. Not only did we have to wait forever, several times when we asked for the bill we were snapped at and the waiter's eyes rolled up in a wonderfully appreciative manner. The highlight of our evening was the mushy way we didn't acknowledge the bad service with a well-deserved tip and he wanted to pressure us to tell him why we didn't tip. As I said, a wonderful experience all around. No thanks, never again.

Crazy overpriced. 8 eur for just water. 18.5 for a roastbeef sandwich. Also the tables are so close to each other that you can participate in other people's conversations. If it wouldn't be paid by my company, I would not have never come here.

I got recommendations by two friends and checked it out. The atmosphere feels like in France, and the menu is in French and German. Food is excellent, I forgot to take photos of the beef tata and dessert. Would like to come back.

The boys really did something...We waited 1.5 hours for our food. We got a red wine in a white wine glass. The waiter wasn't even embarrassed. The Tête de Veau was also 80% fatty. A farce in France. While everyone received at least water and bread, we were allowed to wait 1.5 hours with a glass of red wine (and we didn't receive any bread either). It was really fun, keep it up!

1 star because the waiter tried to guilt trip me for not leaving a tip, which of course didn’t work on me. I usually do give tips but it was already much more expensive than the other restaurants in this neighbourhood and the service wasn’t really friendly anyway. I told the waiter that I’m a student and he still kept pressuring me for a tip. Really unacceptable behaviour. The waiters should know that leaving a tip is not obligatory. Or if it is mandatory in this place, they should put a sign in the entrance.
