Last night was not my first time at PeterPaul, but it was definitely the most special. We were a group of five and got a warm welcome from the moment we walked in. The service was a breath of fresh air in this city, and the best part? The food matched the welcome. We tried about ninety percent of the menu and everything was a unanimous success.

We reserved for five persons but they gave us two tables which one person barely fit. Other than this the place was too noisy, everyone talked aloud: there were people from nose blowers to out loud luaghers. But the service, two meals(pork and sausage) and the wines were great.

The atmosphere is classy yet comfortable, with excellent service that’s both attentive and genuinely kind. The staff’s food and wine recommendations are spot-on, and the bar selection is impressive. German tapas. My take: the best currywurst in Berlin. Super aromatic. The curry comes through perfectly without being overpowering. A superbly pleasant spiciness. Rounded off with onions. Absolutely top-notch. By far, if not the best currywurst I've ever eaten. A great tomato soup as a welcome from the kitchen before the meal. The roast beef was very well-balanced. Super tasty. The highlight for me was definitely the currywurst. The carrots were also super tasty. The dessert was also simply delicious. The drinks were excellent. The bartender was top-notch. Super friendly, as were all the staff. If you're willing to spend the money, you definitely won't be disappointed. But it's extremely important to make a reservation in advance, otherwise you won't be able to make it.

I went with a group of five, and we started off with a delicate soup served in a cup. Among all the dishes we tried, our favorites were the buttermilk-marinated crispy chicken with watercress yogurt and the cheese dumplings. The food was absolutely delicious, but what impressed me the most were the waiters. It felt like they weren’t just doing their job, but genuinely welcoming long-awaited guests into their home.

This was one of the absolute best meals we’ve had in Berlin. The cheese dumplings were particularly spectacular, and the fish fingers were perfectly cooked and delightfully flavorful. The cocktails were masterfully executed, and the wine list was fantastic. The staff were warm and extremely helpful in guiding us, and stopped by our table at the perfect times to check in. This place was so good!!!! We went for a team dinner there and the restaurant made sure we had a quieter corner table as requested and made sure we got English menus and English speaking waiters since not all of us spoke perfect Detusch!! The waitress was so polite and described everything in detail 🫶🏻 and one thing I like was that she continued to speak in English even when someone tried to switch to German at the table. The food was amazing and the portions were just right for everyone to be able to try everything!

On our first evening in Berlin, 10-8, at our host's recommendation, we settled here, just a minute from our Airbnb. We were warmly welcomed by the staff (who spoke Dutch) and, after taking our order, were offered an amuse-bouche (watermelon gazpacho). The first round of dishes was mostly delicious, but we had to wait a long time for the second round. The reason was that someone had accidentally indicated in the system that we had already received this round. The portions are generous, but the dishes lack some refinement. The decor and furnishings are stylish. The service is friendly. All in all, a highly recommended visit.

The concept of serving all dishes—except soups—as tapas is not only interesting because you can sample so much, but also entertaining and very relaxed. The food is excellent, creative despite being typical German classics, and beautifully presented. This certainly won't be our last visit.

The staff is truly amazing, helpful, and courteous. We spent about €50 per person for a total of about 8-9 dishes and a bottle of wine. What a fantastic evening! There were four of us and we enjoyed a tapas menu that took us on a culinary journey through the year. Every small portion was a new surprise: Fresh melon and goat cheese cream – like a summer day on the tongue. Then came hearty mountain cheese dumplings that transported us straight to a cozy ski hut. Sometimes crisp and fresh, sometimes warming and hearty – the menu was wonderfully balanced and brought the four seasons to the table in small, delicate bites. The prices are certainly debatable, but I think they're absolutely reasonable for the quality offered and the unique concept. My boyfriend and I spontaneously stopped by PeterPaul last night without a reservation. At first, there were no tables available. But the very friendly owner offered to reserve a spot for us in an hour. After an aperitif at another bar nearby, a spot for two was reserved for us at the bar, as promised. We had a great meal and, above all, were incredibly well looked after in a fantastic atmosphere. We noticed that everyone in the service was very passionate about their service. We spontaneously arrived without a reservation. There weren't any tables available at first. The incredibly friendly owner promised us at least a seat at the bar in an hour. So we went for another beer. We came back and were greeted very warmly. It turned out we couldn't have asked for a better spot. The people in the restaurant are incredibly attentive and friendly (despite being understaffed that evening, which we never noticed). We received extremely good advice on the food and wine. I can recommend everything we had: currywurst, cheese dumplings, fish fingers, saumagen (sausage), mashed potatoes, carrot and cucumber salad (just like my grandma's! 😍), Black Forest cherry, and red berry compote. We visited PeterPaul in Berlin for a family dinner, lured by the restaurant's undoubtedly beautiful interior. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the evening. Our table was cramped, crammed into a corner behind a group of twelve people, right next to the bar—not a good start to what should have been a pleasant evening. The concept is "modern tapas," which in practice means tiny, unimpressive portions at shocking prices. €20 for two meatballs. €20 for three small, insignificant fish fingers. Another €20 for three bland chicken skewers. €16 for a sad currywurst. €7 for a cold, unseasoned blob of mashed potatoes. Almost every dish felt like a cynical business model: minimal effort, maximum profit. The ingredients were substandard—fatty, tough beef, lifelessly seasoned sauces, and an overall lack of flavor. The service, while polite, also contributed to the negative overall impression: When I asked for the house Riesling (€7), we were offered a wine that cost €25 instead. The bottom line is that PeterPaul thrives on looks and hype, but offers little substance. Beautiful ambiance, poor food, exorbitant prices. A regrettable choice – we won't be back.

We had a great meal at restaurant PeterPaul in Berlin. We could go from 18:00 to 20:00. However, we had a bike tour beforehand and could only be there at 6:30. We discussed this in advance by email and it was no problem. We were welcomed in Dutch and had a super enthusiastic waitress who told us what was what and what her recommendations were. Small dishes that you can share together. Good quality food! We enjoyed it!

Sweden person here. Got the server Jonas, amazing server. As a vegetarian we wanted some food that would fit. Jonas showed us the alternatives and was quick to pick up that I was vegetarian and that me and my boyfriend would like to share. Jonas was very friendly and looked after us. Myself and my boyfriend were on Holiday in Berlin. My boyfriend happened to come across this restaurant from good reviews and he booked it. Well I was amazed on first arrival the decor was so nice. The host/owner was so nice and friendly. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The food we ordered and ate were German dishes tapas style and where incredible. The chef(s) out did themselves. We were both stuffed by the end and the cocktail I had was lovely too. I highly recommend this restaurant to go experience and eat in. When we return to Berlin for any future holidays we will certainly return to this restaurant again 😁👌🏼

The most delicious German dumplings I have ever had, I think it's not purely German, it has a bit of foreign influenced taste. Anyway,so good. The other dishes are just ok. Was a little bit disappointed by the Black Forest , it was a deconstructed one, but for me it was uncreative, a piece of brownies and dry cherry put together don't make it a Black Forest.
