The schnitzels were overcooked, so they were dry and tasted kind of like liver 😭 My son's steak was cooked medium-rare but had a strange taste! The tomato soup was amazing! And the service was super friendly. I found the prices for the dishes very expensive and unreasonable 😓

We've been guests at the Blockhütte Prerow several times. The service is very friendly and attentive. I also think it's a very quiet and cozy place to spend a lovely evening. One small drawback for me would be: You get the feeling that you shouldn't stay too long so that the table might become available for other guests. But this is by no means meant maliciously.

It's always fantastic when we're in Prerow. The food is delicious and we always feel very comfortable there, but it's usually packed, so reservations are a must. Prices have gone up quite a bit, but the food is of very high quality.

The Blockhaus is a must-visit for any Prerow vacation. The service is simply fantastic, always super friendly, and everything runs smoothly. 👌 ✋️. The food was also delicious again. 😋 We'll be back!!

Back in the log cabin after a year... what can we say? As always, impeccable service, perfect food, simply everything was fantastic. Due to a lack of leftover mashed potatoes, we ended up with a heart for the kitchen in the shape of a napkin. Many thanks to the whole team for the lovely evening, Sylke and Mike.

Very nice restaurant with good food

August 12, 2024. Very delicious food, the ambiance is also very nice. We were lucky and got two seats without a reservation. The staff is very friendly. It certainly won't be our last visit. Highly recommended. We were there in 2025. As described above, everything was great again. Everything was perfect. Great food.

Great location on Prerow beach. Super friendly service and delicious food. The Blockhaus platter is highly recommended. The interior has a great ambiance.

We visited the restaurant twice during our vacation and would gladly return. The food, service, and atmosphere were absolutely fantastic.

We've had absolutely delicious Labskaus at the Blockhaus before. Last year and this year, the answer was "all gone three days ago." They couldn't say when they'd be available again. Both years, we asked whether Labskaus was available when we called to make an appointment. They said, "It's on the menu." We would appreciate an honest answer when expressing a preference. We feel like we're being made fun of. My husband had cod with saffron as a substitute, didn't notice the saffron, and the mozzarella overpowered the fish. Best regards

We've been there several times. Unfortunately, today it wasn't any good. The potatoes were raw and the schnitzel was very small. In the end, they didn't respond accommodatingly. Unfortunately, a lot has changed.

Still good, but the portions seem to get a little smaller every year and, in turn, a few euros more expensive...

You can eat well here and it is a 1-minute walk from the beach.

We had a very good meal here. The zander and the Prerow fish soup were fantastic! Everything was very fresh and the ingredients were excellent—a feast for the eyes, too. I had the Labskaus, which was also very tasty. Large portions. The service was very friendly and helpful with questions about allergens. Dogs are also welcome. Reservations are highly recommended, as the restaurant is popular. Wait times for food are a bit longer, but it's definitely worth it! We'd be happy to come back. :)

We had cod with remoulade and Asian gurnard. For starters, we had delicious spiced fish. Everything was very good and highly recommended.

Update from 4/28/25 We returned today after a lovely hike. Service, food, everything was great again, thank you very much for the great time with you. We are very happy to come!!!! again! Discovered by chance and rewarded 👍☀️😀 We went hiking to the lighthouse, were greeted by a brilliant beach with a South Seas feeling and on the way back we came to log cabin number 1. We were greeted very nicely by the lady in service and were even able to choose a table, we hadn't made a reservation. The ambience, the food, the service, everything was very pleasant 👍. Yesterday we had a very tasty and cozy evening in Blockhütte 1 in Prerow. The restaurant was full and yet the two waitresses were friendly, quick and harmonious. The food came quickly for the number of guests and was very tasty. We would love to come back and can only recommend it!

The log cabin has been our first choice for many years when we're in Prerow. The attentive and courteous staff and the fantastic kitchen team round out the perfect meals. Thank you very much.

We didn't have a reservation and were still assigned a nice seat. The friendly service was very courteous and quick. Our meal (labskaus and gurnard with tagliatelle and wakame) was a poem. The atmosphere is super nice. Everything coordinated. Unfortunately our vacation is over, otherwise we would have been snowed in again (with reservations, of course). Only recommended!

As always, very tasty and cozy. Unfortunately, we were "kicked out" after 90 minutes because our table was given to the next guests. We were not informed about this procedure when we made our reservation by telephone. I have been visiting the log cabin regularly since 2007 and have been very satisfied every time. This visit was unfortunately marred by the "expulsion"...

We ate in the log cabin twice this week. The ladies were friendly, very quick and attentive. A big compliment also to the kitchen, all the starters, main courses and desserts were balm for body and soul as they were perfectly prepared and lovingly prepared. We would also like to thank the cleaning department, the log cabin is noticeably clean! We recommend making a reservation in advance. If, like us, you need 3 courses plus espresso to feel good, you should choose the later time slot, as the booked 90 minutes can then be exceeded. Dogs are allowed.

After a walk on the beach we reserved a table here in the log cabin. You should definitely do that! The restaurant is well attended. The food was served quickly and tasted very good. In addition to fish, there are also meat dishes. Was delicious! We are happy to recommend it.

We've been there twice now. Both great! Food was twice on point.

I ordered the pike perch with porcini mushroom risotto. The plate looked very nice. Plate language 10/10. The risotto was very good, as was the salad. The pike perch was still juicy but had been in the pan a little too long. But that's criticism at a very high level and no reason to put a star on it. All in all, a great performance. I can only recommend it.👍💪🤗

Since the menu looked great and the atmosphere was appealing to us, we tried several times to reserve a table. Unfortunately, the requests were always rejected and it was pointed out that if you were lucky you could stop by after 8 p.m., maybe something would come up outside. With children, “from 8 p.m.” is always a stupid idea. So we spent our money elsewhere.

We have been guests here for a week every year for over 15 years Restaurant and always eat very tasty there in the evenings. The team around owner and chef Peter Kleist pulls together, and the service ladies are great friendly. There is also, as we could see again this time, Everyone is there for everyone and not just focused on their territory. This means that you are immediately spoken to in a friendly manner and served more quickly. The menu is very diverse, so no one should complain. All dishes are lovingly prepared, very plentiful and always very delicious. The price/performance ratio is right, if you look at the general increase in prices in all areas of life aside. Be sure to keep it up! For us you are the number 1 restaurant in Prerow! We wish you a nice summer with lots of nice guests!

Very tasty food! Very polite and courteous service.😊 With our old dog in the handcart it was no problem eating there. A quieter corner in the restaurant was simply chosen for us. Very very sweet! Tomato soup as a starter, Maultaschen as a main course. Tiptop!

I ate the dish cod with cucumber twice and zander with porcini mushroom risotto once. I can recommend both dishes. Not only are they very tasty, but they are also beautifully prepared. Big compliments to the kitchen. The service is therefore unbeatable. Great service and dog friendly too. There was water and a treat for our four-legged friend. We'd love to come back!

The log cabin is very well located, you can't miss it on the way to the beach 😁. The outdoor terrace also has sun in the evening hours. The interior is in the style of a log cabin. The food was tasty enough for me and the price was right. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I can only recommend it and maybe we can do it again.
