As an Iranian who knows good Persian cuisine, I was more than satisfied with “A Thousand and One Nights”. The quality of the food is significantly better than many other restaurants; every dish tastes authentic, fresh and perfectly seasoned. The kashke bademjun, kebabs and traditional stews were particularly enjoyable! There is also warm service and a cozy atmosphere. If you are looking for real Persian food, you should definitely visit this restaurant!

I ate there after 2 days I still have a stomach ache and the prices are very high.

Pure disappointment!! First of all, no space was kept free for the people we had reserved for, after we pointed this out to the owner, she tried to convince us that we had made a mistake with the number when making the reservation, even though we had everything in hand in a WhatsApp chat. After a discussion, she was content to add two chairs for us so that we could at least squeeze in. We paid €80 per person and therefore had a minimum consumption of €80 thanks to their New Year's Eve promotion. Everyone has ordered starters and the main course, and the starter also arrived, unfortunately without cutlery so we had to wait a while. We then waited 2 hours for our food and were brushed off every time we asked for it. Then the boss personally came to the table and told us that we should be patient because it was supposed to be the best shop in North Rhine-Westphalia and in a very condescending tone. We didn't want to spoil our New Year's Eve and simply replied that we hope the food tastes as promised. After 2 hours the food came and seriously it was just tasteless in my opinion, because it took so long to serve, one person left earlier and didn't even order anything to eat. Shortly afterwards, the staff came to us and pointed out that our budget had now been used up. Together we tried to come up with €1120 for 14 people and one person, but we couldn't figure it out. Of course we asked for a bill which we never received. Instead, they didn't want to discuss the bill any further and preferred to buy us a bottle. I'm telling you, that was the last evening in this restaurant.

My husband and I were at the restaurant after an event 1 hour before the restaurant closed. They prepared our food for us without complaining and we were able to enjoy it in a relaxed manner even though it was just before the end. All the staff were very friendly, the food was really good and we were able to watch others dancing to culturally appropriate music. That was definitely a great experience. We both really enjoyed it there and would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We were thrilled with our visit to the Thousand and One Nights Restaurant in Düsseldorf! The quality of the food was excellent – ​​authentic Persian dishes prepared with a lot of love. Unfortunately not so good! I ordered chorake koobide(koobide without rice) but I got with rice! Even after 1 hour!!!! Unfortunately the meat wasn't good!

Best kebab I've tried in Düsseldorf

Terrible, just terrible was there on Monday due to good google reviews, the employees were working in the kitchen with undershirts, I noticed when I was on the way to the toilet, when I sat down I asked the staff if the heating was on because it was very cold His answer was for us it's like that if we don't like it we can leave, which of course we did immediately, it's a shame 1 star is too much in my opinion!!!!

Food was perfect and clean. The location looks nice and cozy. My only recommendation is that they play or run the music a little better. I think it was from YouTube because every now and then there was an ad between songs. Otherwise it is recommended.

Unfortunately the food was normal. The dishes were rather average and did not meet our expectations. In addition, the service was disorganized: the dishes didn't come at the same time and we had to keep reminding us what was missing. What was particularly annoying was that the tea we ordered was served cold. When we brought this up, the waitress reacted unfriendly and only reluctantly brought new tea after discussion. We also found the prices excessive: the Faloudeh and Bastani dessert for €8.90, Zeytoon Parvadeh for €5, even though it only cost €2 about ten months ago, and €4 for tea we found unreasonable. Overall it was a disappointing experience. The food and service leave a lot to be desired here, and the prices don't seem justified.

We had kashkebadenjun and zeytunparvarde as starters. For the main course we decided on the grill plate. Everything was super tasty. The service was also very friendly. All in all, a restaurant that we can only recommend.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this restaurant. After ordering, we waited an hour and a quarter for the food to arrive, without an apology. The behavior of the personnel was as if the delay was normal and acceptable. I was really not happy with this situation and will not eat here again

I enjoyed the time to the fullest. The waiters were exceptionally friendly and made me feel at home straight away. The food was simply incredible – every dish was a delight! It was the worst Iranian Restaurant I have ever experienced. They charged me more than what was written on the menu. We ordered a 3-person option, but the food size was barely enough for 2. It took 2.5 hours to bring our food. I would never go there again.

I celebrated my birthday in this wonderful Persian restaurant in Düsseldorf and I was absolutely thrilled. Everything was just perfect! The food was outstanding - of high quality, very tasty, incredibly juicy and simply fantastic in taste. After a long time, we finally got to enjoy real Persian food in a restaurant again and I have to say, this restaurant far surpasses other restaurants in taste and quality. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the management personally came to our table to greet us, which we found very warm. The price-performance ratio was also absolutely consistent and perfectly fine. The live music was also a highlight of the evening and thrilled us all. We were a large group and every single one of us was completely satisfied. It was a successful evening that we will remember fondly. The only small negative point was that the homemade birthday cake that I had dropped off earlier and asked to keep in the fridge was unfortunately not cooled. As a result, the cake had lost some of its shape, which was a shame because a lot of work had gone into the cake. Despite this small drawback, it was a wonderful evening and I can only warmly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely come back!

All in all quite disappointing. Food was ok, but not great, service was very lacking. When we arrived, we were the only ones in the restaurant and somehow there was nobody to be found. Only after a few minutes, someone came from the back to greet us. The waiter could only speak English, had trouble understanding our order and somehow it took over 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. My food was decent but still not up to expectations. For my liking it was a bit too cold already and not seasoned enough. On the other hand the meat seemed fresh and juicy.

We live in the greater Düsseldorf area. We have been looking in vain for a good Iranian restaurant in Düsseldorf for years. That's why we usually went to Cologne when we wanted to eat Persian. Yesterday we tried this restaurant following a recommendation. What can I say: the taste of the shop is one of the best Persians we have ever met (in Germany and Iran). The only small point of criticism was the bread, which should either be freshly prepared or at least served warm. We had four types of kebabs, all of which tasted excellent. Rice was great! Starters were very tasty. Dough was awesome. Service was the first day there. However, he did a very good job. The ambience leaves a lot to be desired. When we came in we noticed a musty smell, which indicates dampness. Otherwise the store isn't very well decorated. But the food tops everything. I have now found a regular Persian restaurant in Düsseldorf.

I recently went to “A Thousand and One Nights” and loved it! The oriental flair there is simply great, you immediately feel like you are in another world. The dishes are super tasty and authentic, I particularly liked the mezze and the couscous. You can tell that the cooking here is done with a lot of love and care. The service was friendly and took good care of us. All in all a really great experience, I can only recommend it!

Overall needs loads of improvements: In their foods, service quality, etc ... We were utterly disappointed of this place ... Not to mention we got ill the next day, including our dog which we gave some of our kebab ... Never again coming back to this place ... We should have known better after visiting the men toilet, it was horrific ...

The Iranian cuisine we had was so delicious. The Soltani Kebab, in particular, was outstanding. The kind lady who served us was very nice. We were seated outdoors initially, but when we expressed a desire to move inside, she graciously relocated our orders for us. It is also dog friendly.

The special thing was of course the live singing and it was great to finally be able to dance Persian again. But that's not enough for me to give a positive overall rating. Unfortunately there were too many downers. When I drink from a glass of Dough (a kind of chilled ayran with carbonation and herbs (very tasty) and then order a soft drink), I expect a clean new glass to be brought to me. However, this only happened when I asked for it. The discussion during billing was absolutely unacceptable. We were given a handwritten hospitality note. We should sort this out ourselves. The water was charged at a higher price than what was on the card. In addition, many more drinks were added to the bill than we had, worth EUR 21.60. We ordered 3 cokes and 2 water. Lt. The cola should cost EUR 2.90 and the water should cost EUR 2.00. However, the water was billed at EUR 2.90, allegedly because the price on the card was incorrect. On the Internet it is correct. When I go to a restaurant, I don't care about internet prices. There were also 4 soft drinks too many on the bill. Here a discussion began again. At least the EUR 11.60 was then removed from the bill. Unfortunately, I overlooked the fact that 2 x wine was overcharged, i.e. h. 10 EUR. This really spoiled the overall impression. If it's important to have live singing and being able to dance, this restaurant is a good tip. However, be careful when billing. I hope the restaurant takes the criticism to heart and works to improve. PS: in order to avoid the restaurant accusing me of slander again, here are some proofs of the incorrect billing (I actually wanted to avoid that) - it's really a shame. I'm happy for the others who seem to have had better experiences.
