Persisches Restaurant Kababsara in Mainz

So so leckeres Essen! Man merkt, dass es mit viel Liebe gemacht wird und auch der Service war 1a. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal! 🫶🏾

Gutes Essen und freundliches Personal. Einzig die Cola Zero könnte meiner Meinung nach verbessert werden: Sie wurde aus einer großen Flasche serviert, anstatt aus einer Dose, einer Glasflasche oder gar einem Getränkeautomaten.

Gutes Essen, aber teure kleine Fleisch Portionen, wobei man die Saucen noch extra mit 5.00,€ bezahlen muss. Eine Ingwer Limonade, die gut war, aber dafür 9.50€ zu verlangen ist schon hart.

Super gegessen... echt was besonderes... mit viel Engagement und soeziell

Wir waren zu dritt dort und alle mit der Qualität der Speisen sehr zufrieden. Auch der Service war sehr freundlich. Einziger Wermutstropfen sind die Preise. Die Grillgerichte sind nicht üppig mit Fleisch bestückt und 4,90€ für eine hausgemachte Sauce dazu ist auch nicht wenig. Schlemmerblock war kein Problem. Wenn man Glück hat, kann man auch auf einem der wenigen Parkplätze hinter dem Haus parken. Ansonsten wird das dort sehr schwer.

Essen: Das Essen war einfach sehr lecker. Ich bin seit meiner Kindheit erfahren im Genuss internationaler Küche verschiedener Länder und Kontinente. Die Küche hier ist sehr fein gewürzt ohne penetrant zu sein. Jede Speise hatte ihren eigenen Geschmack. Preise: die Preise für die Speisen entsprechen den aktuellen etwas erhöhten Preisen, sind aber berechtigt. Jedoch finden wir eine eine Weinschorle für 9€ übertrieben. Service : könnte in manchen Situationen freundlicher sein. Es kam zu Irritationen, weil leider nur eiskaltes Wasser in Flaschen vorhanden war, was nicht von jedem medizinisch vertragen wird. Die Bitte um Tausch gegen Wasser aus der Filteranlage wurde gleich kommentiert, "es wird aber bezahlt", als ginge es darum, nach einer Bestellung mit 10 Leuten, am Wasser zu sparen. Ebenfalls bei der Abrechnung kam das Kommentar "Ich fühle mich beleidigt", als wir baten, eine Position zu wiederholen, den man im allgemeinen Lärm nicht verstanden hatte. Also, wer diesbezüglich nicht empfindlich ist, kann sich auf ein sehr feines, würziges Essen freuen.

Insgesamt sehr schönes Resturant mit guten Essen. Für meinen persönlichen Geschmack war das Verhältnis Portionsgröße-Preis nicht ganz stimmig. Zwei Spieße entpuppten sich als 6 kleine Fleischstücke (2×2cm) und eine handvoll Pommes für 26€. Die Soße kostete 5€ extra. Alles sehr lecker, aber für mich persönlich so etwas unstimmig vom Preis. Deswegen 1 Stern Abzug.

Unser erster Besuch in diesem persischen Lokal war ein rundum schönes Erlebnis. Vom Moment des Eintretens an wurden wir von der Inhaberin selbst mit echter Gastfreundschaft und einem herzlichen Lächeln empfangen – hier merkt man sofort, dass Service und Wohlfühlen der Gäste persönlich am Herzen liegen.  Die Auswahl an Speisen ist wirklich beeindruckend: Es gibt eine Vielzahl klassischer persischer Gerichte, die mit viel Liebe zum Detail und frischen Zutaten zubereitet werden. Besonders gefallen haben uns Gheyme und Gheyme Bademjan, die beide wunderbar aromatisch waren und genau das gehalten haben, was wir uns von der persischen Küche erhofft hatten. Ein weiterer schöner Touch sind die hausgemachten Getränke. Die selbstgemachte Limonade und die Tees sind nicht nur erfrischend, sondern zeugen auch von echter Leidenschaft für das, was hier serviert wird. Als Nutzer des Schlemmer-Blocks hat uns zudem nicht nur der Geschmack, sondern auch der Preis überzeugt – unser Geldbeutel war ebenfalls froh über diesen Besuch. Insgesamt hat uns besonders die persönliche und freundliche Atmosphäre gefallen: Die Inhaberin kümmert sich selbst um den Service, was dem Besuch eine persönliche, warme Note gibt und das gesamte Erlebnis abrundet. Eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die authentisch persisch essen und sich dabei wirklich willkommen fühlen möchten.

Wir wollten mit dem Schlemmerblock essen gehen und haben uns für das Kababsara entschieden. Als wir ankamen, waren wir erst skeptisch: Das Restaurant war komplett leer, draußen keine Speisekarte, obwohl es fast 400 Bewertungen und starke 4,9 Sterne hat. Die Preise wirkten auf den ersten Blick eher im höheren Segment und einer von uns wollte schon wieder gehen – aus Angst, dass es teuer ist und am Ende nicht schmeckt. Zum Glück sind wir geblieben. Und das war die beste Entscheidung! Das Essen war einfach mega lecker 😋 richtig frisch, top gewürzt und qualitativ auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Wir wären echt arm dran gewesen, wenn wir aus Vorurteilen heraus gegangen wären. Fazit: Nicht vom ersten Eindruck täuschen lassen. Reinsetzen, probieren, genießen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! 💪🍽️

Achtung!! Essen schmeckt nicht und der Service ist auch nicht vorhanden. Bewertungen von mir und vielen Bekannten werden wie am Band wegen Diffamierung gelöscht, Achtung hier sind die guten Bewertungen gestreckt! Das Management sollte sich zumindest halb so viel um das Restaurant kümmern, wie sie in das löschen von Bewertungen investieren.

waren bei geschlossener Gesellschaft mit Buffet eingeladen. Alles selbst gemacht und alles andere als Einheitsgeschmack. Für jeden was dabei! Dazu eine äusserst zuvorkommende Chefin, die jede Spezialität mit Liebe extra zubereitet. Parken direkt ist schlecht, aber vom.Bürgerhaus ist man in weniger als 2min schnell hergelaufen.

We made a reservation by phone, and everything was fine. Four of us arrived to redeem an online voucher from Schlemmerblock. The voucher was activated, but then they claimed it couldn't be redeemed because the contract stated otherwise. After several attempts to resolve the issue, as the voucher was definitely redeemable, the hostess became irritated. We then decided to leave and read through everything again before entering the restaurant. When we re-entered the restaurant, we were greeted unfriendly and ignorantly and told that we were now banned from the premises. I found this an incomprehensible reaction, as there was neither a discussion nor a loud exchange. I can't and don't want to comment on the food, as that didn't happen. Unfortunately, this is a clear reason for me not to visit this restaurant again.

I really like the food there. And the lady owner is super nice. But she has young staff, which is very disrespectful to customers. This is a reminder to the owner to replace this big big issue. Thank you

This is one of the best persian restaurant i have ever went to. Food was extremely deliciuos and the staff was very freindly and welcoming. Icecreamfalooda was delicious.

Unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time, both for our order (30 minutes) and for the food and drinks to be served. The food at the table next to us wasn't cleared for an hour. The food wasn't the best Persian cuisine either. We won't be back.

Excellent Persian food, the staff are very polite and helpful. The location is in a beautiful part of the town. We also got the dessert platter (recommended), packed with many traditional Persian classics plus a delicious chocolate dessert also.

We went to the Persian restaurant Kababsara for the first time today and it definitely won't be the last time. We are thrilled with the excellent food! At first we thought the portions were a bit small but we were full. We were particularly pleased that vegan dishes were also offered. In addition to the food, the drinks are another highlight! We also received extremely friendly and courteous service. Great recommendation!

First of all: Dress warmly: it is extremely cold in the restaurant. First we had to order tea, actually we should have left straight away. It has been a habit for several years not to heat anymore. Sure, heating is expensive, but given the hefty prices (for very little on the plate) there should be a little warmth in it. Above all, it is bad for business, because if it had been warmer, we would certainly have stayed longer. The food was okay, but I've had much better Persian food. I cannot confirm the unfriendliness of the owners and employees that is often criticized here, they were always friendly. The food is too expensive, there is too little on the plate. The ambience is loveless, almost barren, not comfortable, no decoration, very "functional". I wouldn't visit the restaurant again.

The order was canceled after 30 minutes because it said you should have answered the phone because of fake orders. That's an impertinence and if you complain you're threatened with a lawyer. Unfriendly staff would not advise anyone to order there.

Had dinner here today. Can only recommend the Persian specialty restaurant. Very tasty and fresh food, optimal portion size. The main courses were beautifully presented and served with local spices (sumac). We were served by a very friendly and attentive lady.

I'll make it short: The whole place is unloving. Starting with the ambience, the brittle (service) charm and the pricing. Last but not least, the food: apart from a lot of rice, hardly anything on the plate. Skewers were dry, the lamb skewer smelled very bad, the casserole had hardly any meat, little eggplant and was way too sour... I like Arabic cuisine, but there won't be a second time here...

Bad food and rude service – disappointing! The food was an absolute disaster – bland, barely seasoned and carelessly prepared. There was no trace of authentic Persian cuisine here. Added to this is the unfriendly owner who spoiled our entire evening with her manner. You don't feel welcome or well served, and the food doesn't make it any better. For the money you can get far better quality and service elsewhere. Not recommended!

Went for dinner on a Friday evening with the family (7 people in total). The food was very, very good. Some of us had vegetarian dishes, the majority meat dishes. Both types were very well received. Portion sizes were appropriate for entree dishes. The meats were cooked to perfection and the flavor of the food was amazing. The desserts were very tasty as well. We were served by the one of the owners of the restaurant, she was informative, funny, attentive throughout the entire dinner. I can highly recommend eating at this restaurant.

I ordered food for €50 and asked to pack some more bread. Instead I was rudely informed that there would be a surcharge for a little extra bread. The customer service on the phone was extremely unfriendly. Additionally, the food was disappointing: the Baghali Polo contained no Baghali at all, and the kebab was very dry. Absolutely no recommendation!

Absolutely disappointing! This was by far the worst Persian food I have ever had to try. Everything tasted bland and was clearly prepared carelessly. To call something like this Persian cuisine is almost an insult. But the worst was the service: extremely rude, disrespectful and zero interest in the guest. Every attempt to say something friendly was met with a stroppy response. Anyone who goes here should set their expectations very low. Save yourself the money and time!

After we kindly pointed out the hair in the food to the lady, she started making racist comments, insulted us and even wanted to throw us out of the restaurant. We have eaten at Kababsara several times. It was always delicious, no matter who we were there with, everyone always enjoyed it. The service is very nice and friendly and takes care of the guests. The portions are anything but small. You will definitely get full here. In terms of price, it's perfectly reasonable since you have lamb on the plate and not pork. Lamb is generally more expensive. We have also been there with Schlemmerblock and there have never been any problems. We'll definitely come back.

Called on Sunday to pre-order for a birthday a few days later. We were told that if you pay in advance you have to come in person to pay (for a bill of just under €200). I have never experienced that for such amounts (8 dishes) I have to pay in full in advance, drive to the restaurant JUST to pay and therefore the reservation is only accepted. Regardless, if you agreed to bring the money over on Monday, it won't work because it's their day off. Tuesday (delivery day) is also too short notice, so the order ultimately could not be placed. Any suggestions for compromise were met with such an arrogant, unfriendly manner and uncaring attitude that one wonders if the restaurant even wants to sell their food. When I order food for a group of people in the evening, no restaurant says they have to come and pay first and then they can order. Absolutely unfriendly and unprofessional, what a shame!

Amazing service! The staff were the kindest I’ve ever encountered. They explained the dishes perfectly and were patient and super kind through and through. The food was nothing but perfect. The size of the portions were big enough that we were very full but not too big to feel bad. 10\10 would always recommend and bring loved ones here.

Unfortunately, absolutely not recommended. Unfortunately I can't understand the positive reviews. And, addressed to the nice fellow reviewer: My review is NOT politically motivated, but should ideally motivate the owner to question his/her concept. I go out to eat every evening (!) and very often Persian. There are far better Persian restaurants. We were there on a Sunday afternoon to use our gourmet block again. The restaurant was yawningly empty (in retrospect, that was the first point that should have given us pause). We were initially greeted warmly and despite the completely empty(!) restaurant, we were not allowed to sit where we wanted, but had to choose one of two tables that were shown to us. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. The drinks arrived promptly. The starter after about 5 minutes, which we were very surprised about. Unfortunately, the meatball, which had apparently been heated in the microwave, was cold in the middle and extremely salty (I doubt whether the centimeter-thick layer of fat on top of it belongs). Before ordering the main courses, we mentioned, as requested, that we had a gourmet block. The waitress's eye roll spoke volumes. So it wasn't surprising that we didn't get the obligatory herb plate (an appetizer that Persians always serve in advance). Price-performance: The food itself wasn't worth the expensive price!!! Please rate for yourself what we got for €24:: Quantity: Three(!) small 60 gram pieces of lamb chops, at best 5 tablespoons of rice, 1 small pepper, 1/8 lemon and some onions. Quality: The meat was (almost certainly) frozen and thawed. The chops had more fat than meat on the bone and actually weighed 56 grams (I had half of the food packed and weighed them at home). The pepper was “warmed” and not grilled at all! The obligatory butter for the rice was completely missing. When asked, they said there was no more butter, but they had already put butter on the rice in the kitchen. The statement, of course, raised further questions. Needless to say, the designated cola on the menu was not a “real” one, but a no-name product from the 1.5 liter bottle from the supermarket. Another word about the ambience: Some kitschy pictures and decorative elements are simply carelessly and carelessly attached. A magnificently failed attempt to appear “oriental”. The few dirty carpets on the floor of the restaurant don't change that. Conclusion: Not worth a visit. Personal afterword: It makes me very sad that people who ultimately want to present the (food) culture of their home country to us, create “something” without hesitation. It may be an honor for them to try to stand on their own two feet. However, well thought out and poorly done is still just bad - unfortunately!

We had dinner there with 6 friends. The food was great and the service was very friendly. We felt very comfortable. The process with the Schlemmerblock was very uncomplicated. It wasn't the last time we were there.

We were really looking forward to our visit to the Kababsara restaurant and drove there from Wiesbaden to try the food. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing: No availability: Although we came without a reservation, we were hoping to find a place. However, we were told that there were no more places available. The restaurant was very small and we didn't get the impression that it was crowded. Unfriendly service: The employee was not particularly friendly and made no attempt to offer us an alternative or a suggested solution. High Prices: The prices on the menu were very high, which doesn't seem justified given the general experience. We are simply disappointed. I wouldn't recommend anyone.

Absolutely not recommended!! Food tastes old and as if he was defrosting and grilling frozen meat again! Additionally, the only waitress who works there is rude and disrespectful. We had to sit outside and freeze and all for a hefty price! When we complained, she said we were the only ones complaining?!
