Persisches Restaurant Kababsara in Mainz

This is one of the best persian restaurant i have ever went to. Food was extremely deliciuos and the staff was very freindly and welcoming. Icecreamfalooda was delicious.

I can recommend it, was there for the first time, tasted very good. Service was friendly, you can eat outside in the courtyard if the weather is good, the prices are normal not too expensive

Unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time, both for our order (30 minutes) and for the food and drinks to be served. The food at the table next to us wasn't cleared for an hour. The food wasn't the best Persian cuisine either. We won't be back.

Excellent Persian food, the staff are very polite and helpful. The location is in a beautiful part of the town. We also got the dessert platter (recommended), packed with many traditional Persian classics plus a delicious chocolate dessert also.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't as outstanding as we had hoped. The spices were rather weak, and the spices highlighted in the dish description weren't noticeable. It was okay, but unfortunately nothing more. The service, on the other hand, was very good and friendly.

We went to the Persian restaurant Kababsara for the first time today and it definitely won't be the last time. We are thrilled with the excellent food! At first we thought the portions were a bit small but we were full. We were particularly pleased that vegan dishes were also offered. In addition to the food, the drinks are another highlight! We also received extremely friendly and courteous service. Great recommendation!

First of all: Dress warmly: it is extremely cold in the restaurant. First we had to order tea, actually we should have left straight away. It has been a habit for several years not to heat anymore. Sure, heating is expensive, but given the hefty prices (for very little on the plate) there should be a little warmth in it. Above all, it is bad for business, because if it had been warmer, we would certainly have stayed longer. The food was okay, but I've had much better Persian food. I cannot confirm the unfriendliness of the owners and employees that is often criticized here, they were always friendly. The food is too expensive, there is too little on the plate. The ambience is loveless, almost barren, not comfortable, no decoration, very "functional". I wouldn't visit the restaurant again.

The order was canceled after 30 minutes because it said you should have answered the phone because of fake orders. That's an impertinence and if you complain you're threatened with a lawyer. Unfriendly staff would not advise anyone to order there.

Had dinner here today. Can only recommend the Persian specialty restaurant. Very tasty and fresh food, optimal portion size. The main courses were beautifully presented and served with local spices (sumac). We were served by a very friendly and attentive lady.

I'll make it short: The whole place is unloving. Starting with the ambience, the brittle (service) charm and the pricing. Last but not least, the food: apart from a lot of rice, hardly anything on the plate. Skewers were dry, the lamb skewer smelled very bad, the casserole had hardly any meat, little eggplant and was way too sour... I like Arabic cuisine, but there won't be a second time here...

Bad food and rude service – disappointing! The food was an absolute disaster – bland, barely seasoned and carelessly prepared. There was no trace of authentic Persian cuisine here. Added to this is the unfriendly owner who spoiled our entire evening with her manner. You don't feel welcome or well served, and the food doesn't make it any better. For the money you can get far better quality and service elsewhere. Not recommended!

I ordered food for €50 and asked to pack some more bread. Instead I was rudely informed that there would be a surcharge for a little extra bread. The customer service on the phone was extremely unfriendly. Additionally, the food was disappointing: the Baghali Polo contained no Baghali at all, and the kebab was very dry. Went for dinner on a Friday evening with the family (7 people in total). The food was very, very good. Some of us had vegetarian dishes, the majority meat dishes. Both types were very well received. Portion sizes were appropriate for entree dishes. The meats were cooked to perfection and the flavor of the food was amazing. The desserts were very tasty as well. We were served by the one of the owners of the restaurant, she was informative, funny, attentive throughout the entire dinner. I can highly recommend eating at this restaurant.

HANDS OFF the food and the restaurant!!! Disgusting food (with hair in it), loveless atmosphere, rude & disrespectful owner. After we kindly pointed out the hair in the food to the lady, she started making racist comments, insulted us and even wanted to throw us out of the restaurant. Absolutely disappointing! This was by far the worst Persian food I have ever had to try. Everything tasted bland and was clearly prepared carelessly. To call something like this Persian cuisine is almost an insult. But the worst was the service: extremely rude, disrespectful and zero interest in the guest. Every attempt to say something friendly was met with a stroppy response. Anyone who goes here should set their expectations very low. Save yourself the money and time!

We have eaten at Kababsara several times. It was always delicious, no matter who we were there with, everyone always enjoyed it. The service is very nice and friendly and takes care of the guests. The portions are anything but small. You will definitely get full here. In terms of price, it's perfectly reasonable since you have lamb on the plate and not pork. Lamb is generally more expensive. We have also been there with Schlemmerblock and there have never been any problems. We'll definitely come back.

Called on Sunday to pre-order for a birthday a few days later. We were told that if you pay in advance you have to come in person to pay (for a bill of just under €200). I have never experienced that for such amounts (8 dishes) I have to pay in full in advance, drive to the restaurant JUST to pay and therefore the reservation is only accepted. Regardless, if you agreed to bring the money over on Monday, it won't work because it's their day off. Tuesday (delivery day) is also too short notice, so the order ultimately could not be placed. Any suggestions for compromise were met with such an arrogant, unfriendly manner and uncaring attitude that one wonders if the restaurant even wants to sell their food. When I order food for a group of people in the evening, no restaurant says they have to come and pay first and then they can order. Absolutely unfriendly and unprofessional, what a shame!

Amazing service! The staff were the kindest I’ve ever encountered. They explained the dishes perfectly and were patient and super kind through and through. The food was nothing but perfect. The size of the portions were big enough that we were very full but not too big to feel bad. 10\10 would always recommend and bring loved ones here.

Unfortunately, absolutely not recommended. Unfortunately I can't understand the positive reviews. And, addressed to the nice fellow reviewer: My review is NOT politically motivated, but should ideally motivate the owner to question his/her concept. I go out to eat every evening (!) and very often Persian. There are far better Persian restaurants. We were there on a Sunday afternoon to use our gourmet block again. The restaurant was yawningly empty (in retrospect, that was the first point that should have given us pause). We were initially greeted warmly and despite the completely empty(!) restaurant, we were not allowed to sit where we wanted, but had to choose one of two tables that were shown to us. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. The drinks arrived promptly. The starter after about 5 minutes, which we were very surprised about. Unfortunately, the meatball, which had apparently been heated in the microwave, was cold in the middle and extremely salty (I doubt whether the centimeter-thick layer of fat on top of it belongs). Before ordering the main courses, we mentioned, as requested, that we had a gourmet block. The waitress's eye roll spoke volumes. So it wasn't surprising that we didn't get the obligatory herb plate (an appetizer that Persians always serve in advance). Price-performance: The food itself wasn't worth the expensive price!!! Please rate for yourself what we got for €24:: Quantity: Three(!) small 60 gram pieces of lamb chops, at best 5 tablespoons of rice, 1 small pepper, 1/8 lemon and some onions. Quality: The meat was (almost certainly) frozen and thawed. The chops had more fat than meat on the bone and actually weighed 56 grams (I had half of the food packed and weighed them at home). The pepper was “warmed” and not grilled at all! The obligatory butter for the rice was completely missing. When asked, they said there was no more butter, but they had already put butter on the rice in the kitchen. The statement, of course, raised further questions. Needless to say, the designated cola on the menu was not a “real” one, but a no-name product from the 1.5 liter bottle from the supermarket. Another word about the ambience: Some kitschy pictures and decorative elements are simply carelessly and carelessly attached. A magnificently failed attempt to appear “oriental”. The few dirty carpets on the floor of the restaurant don't change that. Conclusion: Not worth a visit. Personal afterword: It makes me very sad that people who ultimately want to present the (food) culture of their home country to us, create “something” without hesitation. It may be an honor for them to try to stand on their own two feet. However, well thought out and poorly done is still just bad - unfortunately!

We were really looking forward to our visit to the Kababsara restaurant and drove there from Wiesbaden to try the food. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing: No availability: Although we came without a reservation, we were hoping to find a place. However, we were told that there were no more places available. The restaurant was very small and we didn't get the impression that it was crowded. Unfriendly service: The employee was not particularly friendly and made no attempt to offer us an alternative or a suggested solution. High Prices: The prices on the menu were very high, which doesn't seem justified given the general experience. We are simply disappointed. I wouldn't recommend anyone.

Attention Schlemmerblock users, you are being ripped off here. The gourmet block is only valid for Persian dishes. The pizzas offered there are not charged. Drinks are totally overpriced. If I have a wine spritzer on the menu in Rheinhessen for 8.50 euros, then somehow that doesn't fit. A Pizza Tonno for 17 euros is also totally overpriced. But the highlight is the service in this restaurant. Right from the start there were discussions about the gourmet blocks. In the end, the wait staff was completely overwhelmed and made errors in billing. But the guest is to blame because the receipt was not checked. Hospitality is a foreign word in this restaurant. And instead of solving problems, guests are thrown out of the restaurant, threatened with the public order office and banned from the premises. One thing is clear...even without a house ban...we'll never come back!

We are big fans of Persian cuisine and were really looking forward to the evening. The food was okay, but unfortunately all we will remember is that the waitress/boss(?) was extremely rude and very rude to us. For this reason this was our last visit. Went there yesterday and when I asked if the meat was halal, the waitress was very rude. And replied with “you’re in the wrong store”. Then they left too. Politeness and a nice tone are probably asking too much.

(Negative points: food list (menu German and English only Foreign and not Iranian music. Unfortunately, the lady who welcomes the guests uses German terms more often. The muscle was stiff. It was not the muscle sauce, but the tomato sauce, which did not taste any muscle. The batter was very salty. When we politely told the honorable lady that it was salty, the lady's reaction was harsh and her answer was: We have been serving this food since eleven o'clock and no one objected. For this reason, I did not say anything about the hardness of the muscle meat. Maybe our luck was like this that day! I personally do not recommend this place to any Iranian. The only Iranian point in this restaurant was the very beautiful Haft Sin table.

Yesterday we reserved a table for two people. The lady who welcomed us was rude and inconvenient. We were 14 minutes late as we had traveled a very long distance. She informed us that the table was already taken. When my friend politely asked if she could use the toilet, the lady said no. We will never come here again and will discourage everyone we know from visiting this restaurant. Disgraceful…

We were there with a group of 14 people. And even this large group received excellent service. A great restaurant with really good, delicious food. The owner's service was really excellent and very accommodating. With advice and explanation of the dishes. The ambience is also very nice. From the usa we spent 2 weeks vacation in germany ,3 times went to this restaurant with my girlfriend and my dad.waitress lady was so great and spoke fluently in the English and German language .100% recommend this persian restaurant to anyone who lives in mainz and budenheim. The food was so delicious . atmosphere was so calm,romantic and relaxed, and very clean.wanna say special thanks to Aida for her hard work to keep all customers happy .

Essen ist sehr lecker. Sehr freundliche und respektvolle Umgang mit Kunden. Nur die Getränke sind überteuert. Z.B. 0,4 Cola 4.50 Euro, Doogh(persisches Getränk) 4.80 Euro oder ein schwarzen Tee 0.2 Liter 3.50 €. Ansonsten alles okay. Sehr emfehlungswert.

Wunderschöne Atmosphäre, toller Service und Beratung. Frisch zubereitete Speisen. Sehr empfehlenswert. Wir kommen wieder.

Wir waren ohne Reservierung spontan im Restaurant und bekamen glücklicherweise einen Platz. Das Essen war hervorragend und der Service sehr, sehr freundlich. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder zum Essen kommen.
