We were there for several times, and the taste of the food and drinks always were the same and perfect. The hospitality is really good, they are friendly and nice people and we would suggest this restraunt as a high rank Persian Restraunt in Leipzig🥰

As an Iranian far from my homeland and all those great dishes, I can say it's a great restaurant with a good quality and original taste of Persian food ✨ Every time I go there it reminds me of home and family lunch times we used to have.

It was our first Persian! The food was amazing...the chicken, the rice...so delicious! I also tried a Persian drink for the first time, but it wasn't really my thing! And then they were kind enough to offer me a free replacement for it. Totally great, nice service! 😄It was a little chilly in one corner or another, but there were blankets ready! 😃

Unfortunately not good. There is another Persian restaurant in the north of Leipzig which is much more tasty. This one is just not worth it and careful only cash.

A little fresh if you sit right at the door and unfortunately not much sauce with the rice but still delicious food in a cozy restaurant/cafe/bar with good service. Cocktails were delicious

We visited this Iranian restaurant with a group of international friends, they all enjoyed the Kabab there. The staff were friendly and kind. The only downside is that there was only one vegan option.

The food was delicious. Unfortunately there isn't much choice. The service was very friendly. The ambience itself is quite nice, but the temperature in the dining room was unfortunately quite low. No card payment possible.

A beautifully, lovingly furnished and very friendly run Iranian restaurant, small and chic... Price / performance is right and at some point the menu will be expanded. But what is served is real Iranian home cooking.

I had the pleasure of visiting this Persian restaurant and it was simply amazing! The food was a real treat. Every bite was an explosion of flavors that were perfectly balanced. The starters, the heavenly Kashk-e Bademjan, were a great start. For the main course we had the delicate kabab and the aromatic saffron rice creation - both an absolute highlight. The portions were generous and the quality of the ingredients was noticeable.

We were there spontaneously and were lucky to get a spot. Service was very nice and the food was very tasty. Highly recommended. We had the chicken skewer and minced lamb skewer, as well as Ayran to drink.

The food was really excellent. After a long time, I finally enjoyed a delicious Persian dish again. Everything was really good, and most importantly was the behavior and friendliness of the restaurant manager, which made the whole experience pleasant regardless of the quality of the food. I can highly recommend this restaurant!

It gets really crowded after 8 p.m. Food is ok, nothing earth-shattering and the portions are normal size.

Walking into the Barena restaurant, I and my colleague were greeted with friendliness and brought to our table. The restaurant was not busy, which is surprising considering the fantastic food and outstanding service! If you visit here, make sure you try the starter, which is an aubergine and egg dip, accompanied with bread and incredibly satisfying and tasty. Our main courses (both typical meat kebabs) were succulent and served with Persian Safran rice and a small salad. The only thing I would like to have had as well would be some proper Iranian bread, but perhaps when I visit in the future, there will be a bread oven installed to provide this staple of Persian cuisine. The service was amazing; the food was incredible; I’m already looking forwards to my next visit!

A pleasant surprise!! A Persian restaurant with a variety of Persian Kebabs. We tried Kebab Barg and chicken soltani and we got kashke bademjan as a starter. The starter was delicious but too oily for our taste. The main dishes were delicious!! They also serve Ayran, which is not on the menu. Quick and friendly service. Give it a try!

Last week we visited the Persian Restaurant Barena and loved it! We ordered Chelo Kabab Soltani and Kabab Barg, both of which were delicious. The ambience and service were great – very welcoming and friendly. Overall a wonderful experience. Absolutely recommended!

Recently tried out Barena and it was amazing! The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic flavors and generous portions. I especially loved the kebabs and homemade drinks. Overall, it was a great dining experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for tasty Persian cuisine in Leipzig.

We had a platter put together for four people, so we had something from everyone and were able to try out the Persian cuisine. Everything was good.

You should try Kobideh there😉 defiantly you will love it! I wish they serve food for lunch too but they only serve food for dinner.

A very good Persian restaurant offering a variety of Persian kebabs. I tried Kabab Barg and the Doogh drink and they tasted perfect just like in Iran.

Very very tasty food! Simply mega friendly staff and the service 10/10! I can only recommend ordering Soltani (1 minced lamb skewer and 1 chicken skewer) and you can't go wrong! Feel free to visit and try it out! 🫱🏽‍🫲🏻

So far the best iranian restaurant I have seen. The quality of the food is very good and the taste doesn't differ at all from what I you eat in Iran which is not something you find often here in Germany. I also find the prices very fair compared to other iranian restaurants.

Definitiv das beste persische Restaurant in Leipzig. Ich empfehle den in Safran marinierten Juje-Kebab. Am besten auch nachfragen, was es in der Küche noch gibt, aber noch nicht auf der Karte steht!

Tolles Restaurant mit großen Portionen, moderaten Getränkepreisen und freundlicher Bedienung. Der einzige Abstrich beim Service ist die fehlende bargeldlose Zahlungsmöglichkeit. Ansonsten absolut empfehlenswert.

The quality of food and the customer care is amazing here. The prices are very good and I definitely suggest it to someone who wants to try Iranian/Persian food. The menu is a bit limited but I guess they will expand it in the future. They have a good collection of kebabs and appetizers.

Wir hatten geschäftlich in Leipzig zu tun. Meine Geschäftspartner schlugen vor, persisch essen zu gehen, es sei eine absolute Gaumenfreude und ein Geheimtip. Als Perser kannte ich bereits aus dem Raum Stuttgart alle Restaurants mit persischer Küche und war also sehr gespannt, ob das wirklich mithalten kann. Das persische Restaurant mit Bar in Leipzig hat mich umgehauen. Das Gericht war so lecker, dass ich am liebsten sofort dorthin ziehen würde. So bleibt mir nichts anderes übrig, mich auf den nächsten Besuch in Leipzig zu freuen. Für mich eine absolute Empfehlung für alle, die mal eine Vorspeise oder Grillspezialität aus dem Iran probieren möchten und gerade im schönen Leipzig sich nach einem guten Essen umschauen. Natürlich auch für alle Leipziger, aber das werden sie selber wissen. Nicht zu vergessen sind die freundlichen Mitarbeiter und die nette Chefin.

Ich glaube sagen zu können, dieses Persische Restaurant ist ein Geheimtipp. Wenn die Küche so bleibt wie wir Sie erleben durften, dann kann ich es nur empfehlen. Das Restaurant hat noch nicht so lange offen und es stehen noch einige Arbeiten an. Daher nur 2 Sterne bei Ambiente. Schade war auch, dass die Vorspeise und das Hauptgericht fast gleichzeitig gekommen sind. Aber dafür war alles frisch zubereitet. Achtung, persisches Essen braucht Zeit. Das ist kein FAST FOOD!
