We were guests at the Schwalbenhof on September 6th, 2024, not for the first time. It was my father's 70th birthday. We were accommodated in the adjoining room, formerly a horse stable. At the beginning we prepared a little surprise for the anniversary. For this we used a commercially available “cracker”. Nothing dramatic, no fire, no dirt - only large confetti (2x4cm) came from the surprise. It didn't take long before the lady from the service came and snapped at us in a very unfriendly and forceful tone: "What is that? You clean the dirt yourself. Otherwise it will cost an extra cleaning fee!" Completely taken aback by the “good” customer service, we asked for a broom and dustpan. We didn't get a broom, but the boss came and wasn't in a better mood. He also approached society in an unfriendly manner that was completely inappropriate for the situation. There would already be confetti in the toilets. I emphasize again, there was some confetti. Not the small one made of paper, but the larger one made of foil-like material. In the space near the toilets there was actually ONE ☝️ confetti snippet - WOW.... Someone probably had it on their clothes. Well, we still hadn't gotten brooms. We then had to “order” it again. In short, we cleaned everything up and also swept up various hair from other guests. Yummy .... The evening was rather less successful. The fried potatoes were either fried black or had no color, and were completely over-peppered. Probably revenge from the kitchen. It is a great shame when a restaurateur no longer seems to be aware of who the customer and service provider are. You probably don't need it anymore. The colleague with the reddish hair served us very friendly. We felt very comfortable with her as guests. She still has the idea of ​​service in her blood. Thank you at this point. Was there again for 3 nights. As always, everything was great. The mattresses are wonderful and you have peace at night as it is in a very rural location. The kitchen deserves another 5 stars extra. The overall package is just right, the staff is friendly and nice. Everything is very uncomplicated and you immediately become part of the family.

Update 06/24: Food fresh and tasty. Prices have risen quite a bit - the signs of the times... It's wonderful to sit in the courtyard, very comfortable and chilled out. The service is very friendly. Very good selection of food and drinks. The food is also delicious and freshly prepared, not ready-made but really well cooked. Price performance ratio is very good. There is also an absolute feel-good atmosphere inside, very pleasant!

Spontaneously went to the Schwalbenhof again today. The order was quickly placed in the beautiful beer garden and the drinks were there. Then veal liver with mashed potatoes and brawn with fried potatoes. Guys, both are so delicious. And to top it off, crème brulée Thanks to the whole team

What do you write about a company where you have spent week after week for over a year. Quality is when the customer comes back. That's true, because nothing confirms the friendliness, hospitality, the feeling of well-being in the rooms and the restaurant, and the always good food of consistent quality, and the experience of the nice staff than if the customer always likes to come back. Keep it up. In 2024, two years later, the Schwalbenhof is still my first address in Zwickau. It has now become something like my second home, and I have to say that I can say with a clear conscience that my kitchen is right at the forefront in Germany. You know your craft, fresh cuisine made with love and craftsmanship, and passion for pampering. Hospitality, warmth and a beautiful ambience. A pearl.

We always go there for dinner, at family celebrations or just when we feel like home-style cooking. The food is simply great, is of good quality, the house beer is tasty and whether in the beer garden or the restaurant you sit comfortably and the service is attentive and friendly. All in all, a successful few hours. We can't judge the rooms because we haven't stayed there yet.

We waited 2 hours for our food. Even though we had reserved months before. The restaurant was very well attended. If service suffers due to a lack of staff, you should add a few fewer tables.

Unfortunately only three stars. Our reservation for lunch and subsequent coffee table was shortened to just midday, unfortunately without prior agreement. That's why we had to leave at 4:30 p.m., even though we had changed the original date so we could stay longer. The staff was absolutely friendly and accommodating. But that wasn't enough for the over 80 hosts. Especially when an ice cream sundae was missing... The food was very different, the tongue was excellent, the asparagus was quite spicy (pepper?) and still hard at the bottom. Veal liver very good. Sauerbraten medium, wrapping dumplings too dry. And for me the main course of salmon with rösti (frozen) was not value for money. I found the menu to be quite meat-heavy with a lot of pork.

Always worth a stop! Friendly staff, delicious food, good selection, something for everyone and now home-brewed beer 🍻. The toilets are a bit difficult to reach, especially if there is a closed event in the guest room.

We were invited to my son-in-law's birthday party at the Schwalbenhof and were already impressed by the ambience of the beautiful four-sided courtyard. You've driven past it every now and then and have to say it was a mistake! You immediately felt comfortable in the guest room. The crowning glory was the range of food on offer. Good German cuisine and not only that. There is something for every taste. My sauerbraten was excellent. Plus the very friendly service. Sehr gutes Essen, nette Bedienung und gemütliches Ambiente

Ich bewerte hier ausschließlich das Restaurant. Da der Schwalbenhof mir von vielen Freunden empfohlen wurde, nahm ich dies zum Anlass zu meinem Geburtstag am 22.12.2023 einen Tisch für zwei Personen zu reservieren. Die Reservierung wurde mir per Email mit der Anmerkung "Geburtstag" bestätigt. Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und zum reservierten Tisch gebracht. Der Tisch war für vier Personen eingedeckt und war in keinster Weise ein wenig für einen Geburtstag dekoriert. Die zwei überflüssigen Gedecke wurden nachdem wir Platz genommen nicht entfernt. Ich empfinde das als Unaufmerksamkeit, da nützen dann auch die weißen Handschuhe der Kellerin nicht. Als Vorspeise wählten wir die Kürbissuppe und zum Hauptgang das original Wiener Schnitzel. Die Getränke wurden indes relativ zügig serviert. Nach kurzer Zeit teilte man uns dann mit, dass das Wiener Schnitzel nicht mehr verfügbar ist. Ich wählte alternativ das Steak ou four. Die Wartezeit der Speisen war grenzwertig aber noch akzeptabel. Die Kürbissuppe war gut, was der geräucherte Fisch in der Suppe verloren hat konnte ich nicht nachvollziehen. Der Fisch war einzeln gesehen aber trotzdem gut. Das Steak ou four war dann aber die reinste Katastrophe. Lieber Schwalbenhof, so etwas was sie mir serviert haben darf in keinster Weise zum Gast gehen!!! Das Fleisch war viel zu lange im Ofen sodass der Käse schon schwarze Stellen hatte. Das Steak unter dem Würzfleich war äußerst trocken. Die Bratkartoffeln hatten eine unterschiedliche dicke, einige Scheiben waren hart und andere wiederum gut. Selbst wenn es der Koch nicht mitbekommt muss es spätestens die Kellnerin bemerken. Wenn man groß in der Speisekarte Werbung macht, das man nur regionale Produkte und Händler verwendet, muss man dann auch die Lebensmittel ordentlich verarbeiten. Da ich in Begleitung war, hat mich mein Anstand von sofortiger Kritik zurückgehalten. Ich gehe ins Restaurant um etwas besonderes zu erleben wofür ich auch gerne Geld ausgebe. Dieses Restaurant ist bei mir persönlich durchgefallen und ich würde es als durchschnittlich einstufen.

Leute, bestellt vor - der Schwalbenhof ist immer voll und zwar zurecht. Wir sind heute mit knapp 20 Leuten dort eingerückt und haben ne kleine Geburtstagssause veranstaltet. Dass Essen war wie immer immer top und reichlich. Angerichtet ist es auch super. Wir sind demzufolge immer mal wieder sehr gerne dort!

In ländlichem Charme und gastfreundlicher Atmosphäre kann man hier eine moderne, ausgezeichnete Küche genießen welche Wert auf Qualität, Vielfalt und Regionalität legt. Ein sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service vermittelt willkommen zu sein und rundet das erstklassige Geschmackserlebnis perfekt ab. Sehr zu empfehlen und auch die Zeit wert welche man voraus reservieren muss! Vielen Dank der Betreiberfamilie und alles Gute bis zum nächsten Mal.

Nach mehreren Anläufen haben wir es endlich geschafft das Gasthaus zu besuchen und die Geduld hat sich absolut gelohnt! Ein sehr schön renovierter 4-Seitenhof mit Biergarten und Spielplatz erwartete uns. Parkplätze gleich nebenan, aber außerdem des Blickfelds. Die Inneneinrichtung ist modern und gleichzeitig gemütlich, hier hat man wirklich die perfekte Balance getroffen. Dem Landhausstil wird durch die massiven Möbel Rechnung getragen, dabei wirkt es an keiner Stelle piefig oder kitschig. Die Räume sind nicht überladen und geschmackvoll dekoriert. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, auch der Wirt selbst kam für Empfehlungen an den Tisch und war dabei ausgesprochen freundlich und zu Späßen aufgelegt. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Das Essen und die Getränke waren sehr gut und auch schön angerichtet. Besonderes Highlight war das hausgemachte Eis zum Dessert! Wir haben jeder eine andere Sorte probiert und alle waren auf ihre Art hervorragend! Besonders hat uns gefallen, dass man hier wirklich die Liebe zum Detail erkennen kann. Die Toiletten sind nicht nur modern saniert und sauber, es gibt auch Pflegeprodukte wie Deospray und Handcreme und auf der Damentoilette zusätzlich Monatshygiene Produkte. Da merkt man, dass hier jemand nicht nur Geld verdienen will sondern möchte, dass sich die Gäste wirklich rundum wohlfühlen. Für 3 Hauptgerichte, 3 Getränke und 3 kleine Desserts (je 1 Kugel + Sahne) haben wir 70€ bezahlt und finde das für das angebotene Gesamtpaket sehr fair. Wir können den Gasthof also vorbehaltlos empfehlen - da wir nicht die einzigen sind, die herausgefunden haben wie schön es hier ist, ist eine Reservierung allerdings unbedingt zu empfehlen. PS da meine Oma ihre Portion nicht geschafft hat, wurde der Rest für sie wie folgt eingepackt: Muss man noch mehr wissen? 😍

Sehr gute Küche mit regionaler Vielfalt in verschiedenen Interpretationen. Das Martinsgansmenü war ein kulinarisches Erlebnis und ist mit sehr professionellen, netten Service abgerundet worden. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Die nicht vegetarischen Gerichte waren sehr lecker und sehr schön angerichtet. Wirklich top Jedoch gibt es bei den Vegetarischen Gerichten noch Nachholbedarf. Parmesan ist nicht vegetarisch, also ist nur 1 der 3 Gerichte wirklich vegetarisch. Zudem war dieses Gericht ( Käsespätzle mit Brokkoli) im Vergleich weniger als die anderen Gerichte und etwas unschön angerichtet. Es lag nur ein Brokkoli als ganzes Stück oben drauf. Wir kommen gern wieder, doch würden wir uns wünschen, dass die Vegetarischen Gerichte genauso gut sind wie die Nichtvegetarischen.

Wir waren heute im Schwalbenhof um Mittag zu essen. Es war absolut perfekt. Wenn man offen für neues oder außergewöhnliches ist, sollte man diesem Restaurant ( ich nenne es bewusst so) unbedingt einen Besuch abstatten. Pflaumensülze mit gebratener Kaninchenleber... Eine Gaumenreise... Und so ein feiner, vielseitiger, perfekt angerichteter, schmackhafter Beilagensalat sucht seinesgleichen. Bevor ich weiter ins Schwärmen gerade, unbedingt ausprobieren. Absolute Weiterempfehlung. Preis/Leistung vollkommen angemessen. Vielen Dank

Wir haben am Wochenende einen "runden" Geburtstag im Schwalbenhof gefeiert. Alle unsere Gäste waren komplett zufrieden und das Essen war (wie immer) sensationell gut. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team.

Wunderschöner Innenhof! Alles frisch gekocht, sehr lecker gewürzt und ansprechend angerichtet. Vielseitiges, phantasievolles Angebot, freundlicher und kompetenter Service. Viele Säfte und Limos ergänzen das Bier- und Weinangebot. Auch Zutaten, die man nicht auf jeder Speisekarte findet (z.B. schwarzer Knoblauch), werden verwendet. Weil es uns so gut geschmeckt hatte sind wir gleich am nächsten Tag wieder gekommen auf unserem Kurztrip nach Zwickau. Herzlichen Dank an das Team, wir waren voll zufrieden!

Sehr, sehr gute deutsche Küche. Qualitativ ein Traum. Sehr nettes Personal. Hier kann man ganz entspannt alles von der Karte essen und es ist immer geil. Hier würde ich meine Eltern zum Essen einladen. Preislich der Qualität angemessen, dennoch etwas für besondere Anlässe.
