The food is simply great. The staff was very friendly and always on hand. A restaurant that you could only wish for.

On the occasion of the celebration of Ms. W. Richter's 75th birthday. Everything went organizationally as planned in a very satisfactory and flexible manner. Our service person Lydia was always available for all personal matters, very friendly and polite. All guests were very satisfied with the dishes they ordered a la carte, both in terms of taste and presentation. Thank you very much and gladly again. Highly recommended from us.

Food doesn't taste good here anymore, it's a waste of money

We cook every day, sometimes down-to-earth, traditional, modern or reinterpreted. Learned, copied from grandparents, parents and TV. We are happy to pay more for good food with good products. Whatever we don't cook at home should be fine. So called and booked a table. The first positive impression when entering the restaurant quickly disappeared. We were seated in a not very comfortable hall with the charm of a cafeteria. Coffered ceiling, uncomfortable, loud and uninviting. There are problems when ordering a 3-course menu. According to the staff, it is questionable whether the chef can handle it. Salad, ragout fin, 2x steaks and 1x roast lamb, 2x apple strudel with ice cream. Wine, cola, non-alcoholic beer at a fair price if the quality is right. Unfortunately that doesn't work. Steaks completely cooked through (doneness was not asked at all), pounded completely thin. The menu sequence was more bad than good. How ignorant a boss, a restaurant owner, must be to not listen to his staff. Hot apple strudel and vanilla ice cream have no place on a slate plate. The ice cream kept running onto my table. The waiter couldn't serve it properly without making a mess. Slate belongs on the roof, but not as a plate. The world keeps turning and so does gastronomy. Sorry, we were disappointed. But your service is great, friendly and funny. We hope you don't delete the review. Get food for thought, e.g. from “My Local, Your Local”. Best regards

We went to an event at Vogelsiedler with a lot of people. The food was great, the service was really great and the atmosphere was lovingly designed. We felt very comfortable and welcome.

Food was OK, prices good, directions good, ambience and decor inn 90s. Service a bit overwhelmed but still OK

We celebrated our daughters starting school there in the club room. The positive first, the food was really great and filling, the ambience was very good. Communication with the cellars was also good if you had a concern. Now the negative, in the cost estimate provided by the presumably. The main waitress cost almost €800 for the entire buffet. But then almost 50% more was calculated. The reason given was that given the price it should have been clear that it wasn't enough. Then you can save yourself the cost estimate. And then maybe the boss should do something like that and not the waitress. It started at 3 p.m., we had agreed in advance that we would get the cake and deliver it in the morning. When the guests arrived at 3 p.m., nothing was prepared except the table decorations. We then waited 20 minutes until the cake was in the room and they asked for coffee. This should have been prepared. Two waiters were hired for our company who were siblings, which later turned out. Totally irrelevant in itself, if it hadn't been for the fact that the two of them were constantly pissing each other off in front of the guests and the bar wasn't working well. That is not how it works. In summary, one has to say that the food was really great, but the preparation and service couldn't keep up. You have to improve that.

We have been guests several times now and have been thrilled every time. The food is great. The dishes are always very lovingly prepared and definitely worth the price. The range of drinks is varied and the in-house limoncello as well as the wines from Villa Geissini are very tasty. The entire team is very friendly and does a great job. We feel very comfortable there and would love to come back.

Today we had dinner with seven people. A lot of things would have to be changed when preparing the food, which we also discussed on site, but unfortunately only with the service because the chef is home at 8 p.m., even though the kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m. according to the menu. I had chanterelle cream soup...it was far too thick with flour...more like porridge Then we had boiled potatoes with dill sauce and fried pike-perch with cucumber salad...a suggestion to the kitchen.. The breaded fish was put back into a dill sauce that was much too thick. You could serve it in a gravy boat... then stir the dill into the sauce just before serving... gray dill sauce doesn't look appetizing and is therefore It has also been kept warm for a while......and then perhaps serve the cucumber salad, which is served in a glass bowl, separately and not put it on the plate in the sauce. And what I also think is bad is that you get an ice cream sundae served on a warm plate.

All in all, a thoroughly successful evening. Food excellent. Service excellent. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with the speed either. We'd love to come back.

Well, on the one hand, you have to know. Had reserved a table for 7 people. In the end there were 10 of us. I called again beforehand and it was possible without any problems. Despite there being a lot of hustle and bustle, the drinks and food came really quickly. Price-performance was great, staff friendly. Gladly again

A very nice restaurant with a terrace and playground for the children. The map is very diverse. When we were there on a Sunday it was very crowded. The kitchen took a while (1.5 hours) to bring us very good tasting food.

The main course took a little longer, but the taste was worth the wait.

We had dinner here years ago. There was actually nothing to complain about back then. Meanwhile, prices have risen sharply (like everywhere). Unfortunately I can't say the same about the quality of the food. The boiled beef was dry and absolutely tasteless, the horseradish sauce was unfortunately only called that and the dumplings shared their sad fate with the boiled beef and were almost overcooked. The sauerkraut wasn't to my taste - but okay, everyone prepares it a little differently. All in all, I have to agree with some of the reviewers - unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right.

A room with breakfast, friendly staff on site who welcomed us and showed us the room. Lunch, ordered an omelette with asparagus and steak au four, tasted very good, price-performance ratio was good. Breakfast the next morning was very generous, during which we had a nice friendly conversation with the staff and management. And my husband got a taste for it here. We got to know this restaurant on an Easter trip with friends. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and value for money. Can only be recommended! We'd love to come back again.

As an excursion restaurant, the Vogelsiedler is a real treasure in a great location, with a warm atmosphere and is the perfect place to enjoy delicious German cuisine. The large selection of food and drinks leaves nothing to be desired and spoils you with many homemade specialties. The service in the inn is very attentive, extremely committed and radiates a warm friendliness that makes the stay a great experience for the whole family. Both young and old are welcomed here with open arms and feel right at home here.

We were there for the Easter meeting with our Alfa Family things. Food was very good and very friendly staff.

Inn that is a bit old with its 90s style. Staff is very friendly. Some of the food is a bit too expensive for the quality. You can be lucky or unlucky, sometimes it tastes good, sometimes not so much. Last time a mustard sauce turned out quite flaky.

Yesterday we had a very nice and pleasant evening at Vogelsiedler. The staff was attentive and friendly and responded very well to our special requests regarding food (intolerances). The whole family enjoyed the meal, big compliments to the kitchen. Even the boss personally came to our table and asked if everything was okay. A big compliment to the entire team. We thank you for your hospitality and look forward to the upcoming celebrations in your house.

At the beginning no drinks menu was served, you didn't know what was available. Small portions, no eggnog for the Swedish cup on Saturday. Often there were questions about drinks, which were ordered by other tables and could not be assigned. Prices regionally high for the performance

A large restaurant with overnight accommodation. The service is friendly and the food came very quickly. Unfortunately it was over-seasoned and the meat wasn't cooked through. The others had nothing to complain about.

Super Essen und sehr freundlicher Service

Meine Familie und ich waren am 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag zum Mittagessen im Vogelsiedler. Sehr aufmerksamer freundlicher Service, erstklassige Speisen und Getränke. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank!

Das Restaurant an sich sieht von inne sehr gut aus. Allerdings ist sowohl der Service, als auch das Essen absolut schlecht. Das Essen ist absolut ungenießbar gewesen, das Medium Steak ist eine Schuhsohle und dies wird vom Koch nicht anerkannt. Es ist keine Einsicht erkennbar. Absolut keine keine Empfehlung für dieses schlechte Restaurant!!!

Gute Küche, aufmerksames Personal.

Waren erst bowlen. 2 Bahnen im Keller. Gemütlich und klein, für Feiern Klasse geeignet. Danach essen im Restaurant. Sehr zu empfehlen, lecker essen. 👍

Waren dort essen. Das Personal ist freundlich da kann man nicht meckern. Es war voll und dennoch waren die Wartezeiten vollkommen in Ordnung. Alles schick. Allerdings haben wir für die Preise vom Essen mehr erwartet. Der Salat war nicht wirklich frisch und eher alt und lasch. Mein Steak war in Ordnung, die Pommes hingegen kalt und pampig. Der Fisch war einfach ein winziges Stück und ebenfalls nicht warm, die Nudeln dazu nicht wirklich appetitlich. Wir haben nicht aufgegessen und uns den Rest auch nicht einpacken lassen. Schade eigentlich.

Wir möchten dem Team des "Vogelsiedlers" ein großes Lob aussprechen. Trotz voll besetzter Gaststätte am Dienstag wurden wir herzlich begrüßt und zu unseren bestellten Plätzen gebracht. Zügig wurden unsere Getränke serviert. Die bestellten Essen kamen zeitnah. Alles war sehr lecker und auch große aus- reichende Portionen. Die Bedienung (sehr freundlich) fragte öfters, ob alles in Ordnung wäre. Wir werden dieses Haus wieder besuchen und weiterempfehlen. Es gibt eine tolle Bowling Bahn. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt allerdings musste man auf die Getränke sehr lange warten. Vielleicht war etwas wenig Personal vor Ort.

Lecker Essen und netter Service

Nette Bedienung, gutes Essen, einfach perfekt

Super Service, leckeres Essen- kann man nur weiterempfehlen!

Wir waren gestern spontan im Vogelsiedler essen gewesen. Aus den vergangenen Jahren wussten wir, dass man mit dieser Wahl eigentlich keinen großen Fehler machen konnte. Zu Gestern muss ich jedoch erstmalig einen kleinen Kritikpunkt äußern. Die Bedienung war wie gewohnt freundlich und zuvorkommend, Mein bestellter Sauerbraten enttäuschte mich aber dieses Mal leider etwas. Die Portionsgröße hat sich im Vergleich zu unseren letzten Besuchen leider stark verkleinert. So wurden beispielsweise nur noch 2 Scheiben Wickelklöße ( ca 1,5cm x 5 cm ) als Beilage gereicht. In der Vergangenheit erhielt man zum Hauptgericht noch 2 ganze Wickelklöße. Vergleiche ich dies mit den Portionsgrößen in anderen Gaststätten, wie zb. Der Dänkritzer Schmiede, so merkt man einen deutlichen Unterschied. Gerne sind wir auch bereit etwas mehr für ein gutes Essen zu zahlen, jedoch empfanden wir die Portionen für Erwachsene Personen in diesem Fall leider etwas zu klein. Desweiteren wurde beim Sauerbraten leider vergessen die Sehne rauszuschneiden, sodass ein Stück auf dem Teller leider übrig bleiben musste. Alles in Allem hoffen wir jedoch, dass der nächste Besuch wieder etwas positiver im Gedächtnis bleiben kann.

Zum Mittagessen als Gast: Bedienung superfreundlich, flink und aufmerksam. Gerichte lecker und ausreichend. Wechsel der Beilage ohne Probleme und ohne Aufpreis möglich gewesen. Fazit: Gasthof kann ruhigen Gewissens empfohlen werden!

Essen war schon besser Pommes-frites versalzen Kellnerin hatte schmutzige Fingernägel. Schlechtes lmage für die gaststätte

Ich bin sehr enttäuscht. Früher bin ich immer gerne hier essen gewesen, aber heute war ich das letzte mal hier. Nicht nur das das Essen schon fast kalt war als es kam, es war auch sehr lieblos zubereitet. Ist ja auch kein Wunder, denn das was hier passiert ist nur noch eine Massenabfertigung. Da bleibt die Qualität natürlich auf der Strecke. Und das man für einen Beilagenwechsel extra bezahlen muss ist mir auch noch nicht passiert. Aber nicht nur das Essen war nicht zufriedenstellend sondern auch die Laune der Bedienung war alles andere als akzeptabel. Sehr schade!!!

Tolle Bewirtung, sehr leckeres Essen und als Krönung eine tolle Übernachtung.

An dieser Location wurde Geburtstag gefeiert. Die Location ist sehr schön, gut erreichbar und auch am Nahverkehr sehr gut angebunden. Das Lokal ist gut ausgestattet modern, aber dennoch ein wenig urig. Die Mitarbeiter*innen sind sehr hilfsbereit und nett und stehen einem mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Das Essen war wirklich gut und vielfältig.

Hallo, ich bin Mike Ulbrich und wir waren zu Gast auf dem offenen Spielplatz der zum "Gasthof zum Vogelsiedler" gehört. Meine Frau und ich hatten uns zwei Weissbier im Restaurant geholt, zu einem für mich gehobenen Preis den ich zu diesem Zeitpunkt für mich nicht nachvollziehen konnte, was meine "drei Sterne" Bewertung zeigt. Da ich die Bewertung gleich vor Ort abgegeben hatte und wir in Zeiten des schnellen Internets leben, ist darüber natürlich auch sofort der Geschäftsführer informiert worden :) Üblicherweise kenne ich es nicht so, dass ein Gastwirt gleich zum Gast kommt um sich mit ihm über die Bewertung zu unterhalten, doch bei mir war es so, was ich sehr begrüße, da mir in diesem Gespräch viel Hintergrundinformation zu teil wurde, die man als Gast sonst nicht bekommt. Der Hintergrund für seine aktive Rolle, liegt mit Sicherheit auf in der Rufmordkampagne begründet, dem der "Gasthof zum Vogelsiedler" scheinbar zum Opfer gefallen ist. Wir hatten einen regen Austausch über meine Bewertung, in der ich meinen Standpunkt darlegte und er mir seine Beweggründe, die mir im Gespräch plausibel und für mich nachvollziehbar dargelegt wurden und dafür möchte ich mich sehr herzlich bedanken. Ich möchte jeden wünschen und auch raten, wenn sie Gast im "Gasthof zum Vogelsiedler" sind und eine Kritik haben, suchen sie bitte das persönliche, private Gespräch. Ich hatte das Glück, dass in meinem Fall, der Geschäftsführer auf mich zu kam, und wir uns unterhalten konnten. Vielen Dank für ihre Ausdauer und Aufmerksamkeit bis hierhin :)

Durch Zufall dort mit Freunden ein wenig was essen gewesen und ich war positiv überrascht. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und wir wurden freundlich bedient. Würde ich auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Der Gasthof in Zwickau mit tollem Service, leckerem - vor Allem noch bezahlbaren Speisen und Getränken und einem Wohlfühlambiente hoch 10. Hier wird man nicht einfach abgefertigt, wie bei vielen anderen Restaurants. Das Essen ist lecker, die Getränke - vor Allem der Gin hervorragend und die Mitarbeiter lassen einen Willkommen heißen. Den Kindern hat es gefallen und gerade die Bowlingbahn ist Klasse. Wir kommen mit Sicherheit immer wieder, auch zu Firmen- und Familienfeiern.

Ich kann die schlechten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Es ist sicher keine 5-Sterne-Küche, aber sehr wohl gutes, leckeres Essen. Die Auswahl ist super und man findet auch mal „besondere“ Gerichte, die es in anderen Restaurants nicht gibt. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam, wir mussten nie vor leeren Gläsern sitzen und das, obwohl noch eine große Gesellschaft anwesend war. Außerdem möchte ich die Longdrinks empfehlen… Was die Preise betrifft: aus meiner Sicht der aktuellen Zeit völlig angemessen. Wenn selbst in einem Imbiss die Roulade 16€ kostet, finde ich ein Steak mit Beilagen unter 20€ in einem ordentlichen Restaurant nicht überteuert! Lg und sicher bis bald!
