EVERYTHING is just right here! We immediately felt warmly welcomed as guests and couldn't make a reservation in advance, as we had just arrived in Leipzig and were driving straight to the monument. The ambiance, staff, food, seating, accessibility—simply EVERYTHING was top-notch! We felt very comfortable. Thank you so much.

We stopped there on our trip to Leipzig after visiting the Völkerschlachtdenkmal (Battle of the Nations Monument) and were delighted. The cozy (modern) atmosphere and the warm and friendly staff were fantastic. The food was wonderful, and the prices were reasonable, so we highly recommend it.

The waiters were very friendly, but apparently they hadn't coordinated who would serve us. The food was delicious, but I apparently chose the wrong dish. There was too little meat and too much onion on the plate. The price was too high. I've seen other Greek restaurants offer ouzo as a welcome drink, but that's not the case here. The ambiance is excellent.

After visiting the Monument to the Battle of the Nations last week, we rounded off our visit to Leipzig with a light lunch at the Pellorus Restaurant. We were very pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff and ordered our senior menus. It was delicious and the portions were just the right size. We will have very fond memories of this restaurant!

Great service. This isn't one of those Greek restaurants that just serves senseless piles of meat. Everything is very well prepared. Really good food, including fish and a few vegetarian options.

The service is refined, polite, friendly, and accommodating – that's exactly how it is. The ambiance is truly beautiful, and the food is impressive across the board: high-quality, delicious, and harmonious. You could almost say they'd immediately award it a Michelin star. For those who simply want to be full and get a lot for their money, the Haus & Hof Greek restaurant around the corner might be the first choice. However, Pellorus offers much more: an ultimate culinary delight that's worth every cent. In conclusion: Outstanding service, beautiful ambiance, and excellent food. Highly recommended for connoisseurs who appreciate quality.

It's wonderful that we decided to stop here on a whim and didn't let the dim light in the twilight put us off. We receive a friendly welcome at the entrance and are shown to a table. The extremely friendly waiters enchant our entire visit with their charm, and here and there we are greeted with a smile or even a few jokes as we exchanged with guests. The starters and dishes were beautifully presented and were tasty, and of course they satisfied our hunger. The entire decor of the restaurant is fantastic; it has a modern yet cozy feel. That was also the reason we lingered a while longer with a cocktail. Even as the place filled up, the coziness was not detracted from. All ages come here, which is testament to a successful concept. The farewell was warm, and we can confidently recommend it. The only drawback is the toilets, which are a bit neglected in terms of appearance. Our visit was on 11.10.2025 from approximately 17:30-19:45

We came here on a whim after visiting the Völkerschlachtdenkmal and got a table. We received a very warm welcome. Everyone here is very friendly, and the food was truly delicious. It's beautifully decorated and you feel very comfortable. The prices are also perfectly reasonable. It's a shame we live so far away. This would definitely be one of my favorite restaurants. Highly recommended. We didn't have to wait long for our food, even though the restaurant was quite busy.

Superb food, very polite and attentive staff. Beautiful interiors that exude warmth and comfort. Even special requests regarding the menu were accommodated. Four of us were there, and everyone was extremely satisfied. We'd be happy to return.

We were looking at the nearby Battle of the Nations Monument and then discovered this restaurant, which seemed unassuming from the outside. Inside, everything was beautifully and harmoniously decorated. The waiters were very attentive and friendly. And the food was soooo delicious. Everyone was full. We're looking forward to our next visit.

Stefanos is not only an outstanding host on balmy Leipzig summer nights, but also a cosmopolitan restaurateur. We feel very comfortable on his terrace; his food is varied and very good. Hi. We had lunch there today, and I thought it was lovely! The area is beautiful, and the restaurant is cozy. We ate outside and didn't have to wait long for our food. Very tasty. There wasn't anything vegan on the menu, but upon request, they put together a beautiful plate with all plant-based products for me. Excellent service. My entire group loved the food.

Service was fast and friendly. The location, right next to the Battle of the Nations Monument, is, of course, perfect in the summer. Plenty of free parking is available. BUT the food itself was poorly presented and mediocre. There are Greek restaurants in Leipzig in the same price range with better food.

I've eaten at Pellorus several times, and the food is always delicious. Furthermore, the service is friendly and fast. The cuisine is very fine, and the prices are perfectly reasonable. The view of the Battle of the Nations Monument is also beautiful. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The service leaves much to be desired. We had to wait about an hour for the main course, and the correct dishes weren't brought. We will avoid this restaurant in the future.

Service was fast and friendly...unfortunately, it's located right on a main road, but there's free parking across the street. The food was delicious, but the portions weren't very large, so it's not for those with a big appetite.

The food itself was good, but our server seemed uninterested in serving us. He barely showed up at our tables, and if you wanted something, you had to call him over. Furthermore, orders weren't taken correctly, and the food didn't arrive for an hour. That has nothing to do with service for me. It might be due to the basement, but I personally won't eat there again.

A fantastic restaurant near the Battle of the Nations Monument with extremely friendly and accommodating staff. The menu isn't overly extensive, but it offers a varied selection. Delicious drinks are also available. Seating is comfortable both inside and outside. You'll want for nothing, except for being even more hungry so you can eat more of the delicious food =) Thank you for another great time with you.

We were here two weeks ago. Highly recommended, and not at all the tourist rip-off you'd expect given its location near the Monument to the Battle of the Nations. We'll definitely be back.

We didn't enjoy the food again, just like last year. We certainly won't be coming again.

We can't judge the cuisine. None of the three servers deigned to respond to our gestures. They were pointedly looking elsewhere. The terrace was only a third full, however. We ultimately left without eating.

Unfortunately, one star is already too many. Everything is just convenience foods and frozen foods. The highlight was the honey spritz. Never again.

We (a family of four) were hungry after an eventful day and thought Greek for dinner would be perfect. We decided on a whim to go to the Pellorus restaurant. We were seated at a table right by the entrance, which wasn't too bad. Then we waited (about 10 minutes) until we received the menu. It must be said that it wasn't very busy at that point. The time between ordering and serving drinks and food wasn't that long. The food was good and the quantity was sufficient. Our request for a little ketchup for a children's meal (nuggets with fries) was acknowledged, but we didn't see any ketchup until we paid the bill. And now the crux of the matter. After we had eaten, we were ready to pay. Now we waited until the empty plates were cleared away and we could ask for the bill. We waited and waited. Restaurant employees walked past us several times. We were practically ignored. After a full 40 minutes! We took the initiative and went to the bar to express our desire to pay. Conclusion: Food: OK (but not enough for a very hungry person) Atmosphere: OK Service: A complete disaster (not organized)

We found a nice table on the large terrace. After a while, the roof was opened. Unfortunately, the rain poured down on us. Luckily, we only had drinks on the table. We ordered gyros and chicken fillet. The dishes were delicious. The only friendly and attentive waiter was a young man who was only on his second day. Hopefully, he keeps his friendly demeanor. His colleagues made us feel like we were a nuisance. We eat out a lot, including a lot to Greek restaurants. This was the first Greek restaurant that didn't offer free ouzo.

We had to wait a long time to be served. The food was poorly presented and not prepared as described on the menu. It was just a small thing, as we didn't want to eat much so late. It probably didn't meet the standards of this restaurant. It was probably wrong to raise the issue; we were immediately treated inadequately. As a guest, you have nothing to complain about.

A clear yes and no. The value for money is okay. The seating is quite pleasant. The service clearly has a lot of room for improvement. I remember my dish, not the number, and I don't want to be yelled at by the server if I forget the number. Drinks were often brought to the wrong table. This shouldn't happen if the bill was paid correctly, and it also takes some of the stress off the wait staff because they don't run around looking for something or wasting time. On the positive side, our two latecomers had their food on the table really quickly. However, professionally friendly is not the same as genuinely friendly, and the guest notices the difference. So far, I've always been invited there; I probably wouldn't go there on my own. It's a shame....

The price/performance ratio was okay, but the ambiance left a lot to be desired. The menu was completely shabby, as was some of the furniture. The terrace was dirty, and the doors to the toilet and the toilet were either falling off or missing completely. The staff were friendly and on the ball. There was no ouzo, and the salad for the main course was missing. All in all, a disappointment, and I definitely won't be coming back. I'm used to something different from a Greek restaurant.

That was totally unacceptable!!! The two of us went there for dinner on the recommendation of friends, which sounded really great. At first, we were immediately assigned one of the tables (the restaurant really wasn't full - a maximum of five other tables were occupied and already served). Then it all started with the ordering: When we asked if we could have something else on the large plate instead of liver, we were immediately told that it would cost more. After the waitress consulted with the person in charge, we were told that a bifteki would cost an additional 10 euros (which would have been a 50% surcharge on the price of the platter) - other things like more gyros, souvlaki, and skewers were included in the price. We ordered more gyros and a skewer. When the food arrived, the gyro was the same size on both plates, and one plate had a bifteki on it – clearly nothing had been eaten... The flavor also needed some seasoning. I was really disappointed after the good recommendation and definitely won't recommend this place to anyone!!!

First of all: The food tastes very good, the chef is exceptionally nice, the ambiance is pleasant. The food and drinks arrived quickly. The salad was okay, the dressing was great, a bit lacking... Unfortunately, a few more negative points: The portions are comparatively small, especially for the prices. I find it very difficult to justify this with the (good) quality. A few olives for that price? Four drops of yogurt for THAT price?!??! Sorry, no, that's simply not possible! We came as a couple and left with a three-figure tip. And the icing on the cake... no ouzo as a farewell. (!?!?!????) Oh well, that really bothered me and completely ruined my overall impression. I was still annoyed about it the next day. I certainly won't be coming back, good food and a nice chef notwithstanding. Others simply do it better, much more affordably. Addendum: I read in other reviews that they didn't give us much attention. We also had to actively ask for more supplies repeatedly. The staff was friendly, but... boss, surely this could be better?!

Carefully translate the description of the dish. Otherwise, you might end up ordering expensive minced meat balls (terrible taste and unlikely to have much meat in them) bought at the nearest REWE. The tea is very tasty, but not cheap (around 5-6 euros). Those in the know, perhaps the locals here ordered croutons with eggs. 2 teas with these minced meat balls cost 70 euros. I once accidentally bought them at Rewe for 10 euros. They taste exactly like in the restaurant(((((.

Food was good. Unfortunately, the service was pathetic; there were maybe five tables in use in the entire restaurant. Yet we were barely served; we were left sitting on the dry ground. Even after the meal, the tables took ages to clear. Price was reasonable. There was no ouzo. If the waiters were up for it, it would be a nice restaurant.

The restaurant is located right next to the Monument to the Battle of the Nations, with a view of it. I had a delicious gyro. Unfortunately, there was no ouzo after the meal, as is usually the case at a Greek restaurant.

The staff barely paid us any attention. We arrived around 4 p.m. The waiter wanted to take our order, even though we still didn't have a menu to choose from after 30 minutes. So, it's better to go to Plagwitz, Schleußig, or Südvorstadt, where the atmosphere is more pleasant.

Worst garlic bread I've ever eaten at a Greek restaurant (dry and hard) and where was the uzo??? Unfortunately they didn't have any.

We won't be back. Even though there were at least three waiters on duty (and they were watching us) and the restaurant was only about a third full, we waited almost an hour for two appetizers (tzatziki and baked feta). It took half an hour for our two drinks. Guests at the neighboring table also complained because they got their food before their drinks – service is a flop! Unfortunately, we can't recommend it to anyone.

We've visited the restaurant several times and have always received excellent service. The ambiance is very modern, unlike many other Greek restaurants. The large terrace is highly recommended when the weather's nice.

We ate here with our dogs and were very pleased with the gentleman at the entrance. He showed us quiet spots—as much as possible. It was really busy that day. Our dogs aren't very stress-resistant, and we wanted to get some exercise in. The food was very good, and the overall service was perfect. We highly recommend the restaurant.

I can't recommend this place at all. Disappointing. I ordered hake. It was served later than the other guests. It wasn't hake, but a different fish. It was a child's portion.

The hotel is very nice, the staff friendly and always helpful. Since I have hay fever and the air conditioning in the room wasn't adjustable (it's controlled by the outside temperature, at least that's what one employee said), we were forced to open the window at night. This caused me to cough and sting my eyes. Unfortunately, we had to leave early because of this. Recommended, YES, for someone who doesn't have allergies. The food is good, breakfast is extensive and very tasty. Staff 👍

Been there for the umpteenth time, my German main waiter greeted us very friendly and then... meat of the gyro was so-so... & A DRINK and then: had the menu brought, checked and presented openly on the table & glasses also visibly empty!!!!! no more service, no questions, etc. Sales don't seem to matter and the guest is unimportant!!!!!! Other reviews also criticize the service, why isn't it finally getting better? The pellorus has diminished a lot. Certain dishes are no longer offered and for the money, there is so little on the plate. When I compare that to the other two Greeks, there is a world of difference. Aperol is only diluted with lots of ice cubes. I think we won't go there anymore

Sorry, but that was completely unacceptable. We had a reservation for 10 people. The drinks menu arrived after 70 minutes, and everyone was wearing jackets because the draft was so bad. The fish was still raw. The staff gave us nothing but strange answers. And after waiting 2.5 hours, the bill included items we hadn't ordered. Everything just went wrong.

The food was mediocre and there was no ouzo before or after the meal! It doesn't work that way! ☝🏻 And then we were deducted one euro each for a children's portion, but the salad was left out and the size of the meal was halved. Then enjoy your gyros for €16, you 6-year-old child! We find it a bit embarrassing!

We were poorly served. The staff was very inattentive and didn't ask if you wanted to order anything else. Even when we asked for a menu for desserts, the menu came but then no one asked for an hour if we wanted to order. We then had to go to the counter and pay there because no staff came and left. When asked, they said "we're open again for the first day today" If things go so badly on the first day...

Nicely located, right next to the Battle of the Nations Monument in the park opposite, so it's nice and green. Service was friendly, unobtrusive, the service only had to wag after the meal, which wasn't a big deal. Good, tasty non-alcoholic cocktail, unfortunately with a lot of ice, which is quite normal. Tomato soup with a dollop of cream where you had to look for the herbs or there were none available. A rather bland taste experience. Salad with hake on top. Hake was good, well fried and seasoned. The salad, however, was a disaster, it was dressed with yogurt sauce, a rather poor quality of green lettuce, and very pale tomatoes that would probably have been better used for tossing. What wasn't good at all was the price/performance ratio, so paying €31.40 or €31.60 for a salad, tomato soup, a non-alcoholic mojito and tonic water is a bit of a cheek.

We were greeted very friendly and were able to choose a table. Of course we had reservations for a Saturday evening. Food was good, sufficient and came relatively quickly. We liked it, even though we didn't get ouzo, as it wasn't on the menu. It didn't bother us, but it's somehow part of a Greek restaurant.
