We spontaneously got a table for four people. The service was very good and polite. We also really liked the atmosphere in the restaurant. The food came quickly and was very tasty Greek. The price was also reasonable for the quality. We recommend the Gyros Special with Metaxa Sauce.

This shop initially seemed very good to us, but this quickly turned negative due to the unfriendly and disrespectful treatment of a slightly older woman who was new to working there. The food was very tasty, but that was all that was good there. When I go to a restaurant like this, I expect that I will be treated decently as a guest and not be bullied. Our bills also ended up being completely messed up and we had to pay for things that we hadn't even ordered. No recommendations!

Super tasty chicken gyros and bifteki and a mega tzatziki. Great wine, very friendly service and great atmosphere. We were thrilled!!

We ate very well. However, the atmosphere was a bit reminiscent of a train station, it was very loud and very crowded. The service took a bit. But we were very satisfied with the food.

Whenever we were traveling in Leipzig, we visited the Elliniki. The first time by chance, then always consciously. Why go anywhere else? We always had an excellent meal here: Best minced meat as Bifteki, this time also as Suzukia (with the best Metaxa sauce I've eaten in the last 20 years). The fish with white wine sauce that my wife had was also very good. We always like the atmosphere. Very cozy, even though the restaurant was completely full (no one was sitting outside at 11.5 degrees). The service was very friendly and on the ball and we had our food on the table after 15 minutes. We can only recommend Elliniki and look forward to the next time (it's a shame that the one-way journey for us is 260 km).

Friendly staff, also have patience when choosing the menu. All in all it was good. What the children didn't manage to do was packed up and given away.

We spontaneously went to the restaurant for dinner on Saturday evening. It was very well attended, but the staff still tried to find a place for us. We were very excited. The salad that was served as a starter was already very tasty. Very fresh, crunchy and especially the dressing tasted very good. As absolute garlic lovers, we were thrilled that garlic wasn't skimped on in the dishes. The service was also very good. We were regularly asked if everything was OK and despite it being busy, the service and the serving of drinks and food went quickly. For us it is the best Greek restaurant we have eaten in so far.

Fantastic meal here. I can definitely recommend the chicken in gorgonzola sauce, although you could no longer see the beautifully grilled chicken under the layer of sauce. Baked potatoes were fried very greasy, which was a bit of a shame, but otherwise fantastic!

The best Greek restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is very warm and accommodating, I also celebrated my birthday there a few days ago, it was phenomenal😍 I'm already looking forward to my next visit to the restaurant ☺️

Unser Essen war top ! Wir hatten beide Hähnchen mit metaxa Sauce überbacken. Der Gouda hat das Gericht abgerundet, die Knoblauchkartoffeln waren nicht „zu“ doll aber trotzdem sehr lecker. Wie waren direkt zur rush hour dort, daher war es ein wenig turbulent, aber verständlich. Die Bedienung war immer freundlich und bemüht. Einziges Manko was ich habe (Jammern auf hohem Niveau) es gibt im vgl zu anderen Griechen weniger ouzu, allerdings preis/Leistung ist mehr als gut ! Und auf unserer Rechnung standen auch keine extra ouzu (2 von 3 bestellt). Also der Abend hat uns begeistert. Und ich werde definitiv mit Freunden nochmal zurückkehren

Service: friendly but overwhelmed Food: Gyro meat was gristly and didn't taste good. We were there with 8 people and everyone who had gyros was criticized. Souvlaki was good Salad was charged twice even though it was included in the main course. Served glass with a broken rim and and and. We were all very dissatisfied.

We came across this Greek restaurant because the first Greek restaurant we went to had already reserved all the outdoor tables. In the end we were super happy 🤗 The food was great - 2x gratinated items with Metaxa sauce, tzatziki and a dip with eggplant. The side dishes, especially the garlic potatoes - a dream. Service was very nice, a young, dynamic waiter and two rather reserved but very friendly waitresses - the interior also looked great and we found the price to be completely reasonable - 61.50 euros including two large drinks... and four ouzo for two people 👌 We would come again 👍

Very inexpensive Greek restaurant in the center of Leipzig. I was very surprised that the portion was so big. At the end there was an ouzo on the house (as befits a good Greek)

Very tasty 🤤 there were 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 children, everyone got something, everyone thought it was very tasty, everyone was full and unfortunately it was too much for 4 😂🙏 we were allowed to take it with us 😊👍 the small playground , a few meters further was of course very nice for the children 😃 We were able to have a good time with it, we would love to come back. Everyone was nice, there was nothing to complain about 😊 There are no photos, the food really looks like the pictures 🤤

Best tasting Moussaka I have ever had, my daughter had a vegetarian option which heartily enjoyed,great beer too.

Rather mixed. The food was "okay" but nothing special. The prices are a bit too expensive, and when there's a lot going on, the service isn't good enough.

Very disappointing experience. The food was carelessly prepared and tasted very bland. Salad was swimming in dressing. While we were still eating, the service cordoned off the outside area around us, even though the opening times said it was still open for an hour. Then it would be better to ask the guests to sit inside. We felt very stressed about eating quickly so we could go as quickly as possible.

Card payment possible Dogs allowed: outside if necessary. Rather average Greek. A bit high in price for average but classic Greek cuisine. Service was ok that day, there wasn't much going on at lunchtime. Finally an ouzo. Flair is more like ok. Totally ok if you're really keen on Greek. Therefore a good 3.

It's easy to sit here on the terrace or in the restaurant, the waiters are polite and attentive, we liked the food and the portions were large. The gyro was particularly good, crispy and not dry.

Can't understand the reviews. The gyrus was worlds away from a real one. The tzatziki only tasted like garlic. The people next door thought it was first class. The fries were soggy.

I've eaten at a lot of Greek places, but this one was the absolute worst. I've never experienced anything like that. The restaurant was empty and we were the only 4 people. We were given 1 menu and the service left a lot to be desired. The food was prepared quickly and was an absolute disaster. There wasn't even ouzo. We then went in to pay because we weren't asked for it. Never again!!!

Das Gyros war viel zu fettig und leider nur lauwarm. Der Kellner war sehr bemüht die Situation zu retten und bat mir eine Umbestellung an, jedoch war mir der Appetit vergangen. Das Verhalten des Kellners möchte ich nochmals positiv hervorheben.

Unfortunately, this was not the case in my case. I ask that you take this matter seriously and take appropriate action to ensure that such behavior does not occur in the future. We try out every place we go that has a Greek restaurant. We can only say goodbye positively because it was very tasty. Portions more than sufficient. We will come back next time we are in Leipzig. Thanks

This evening we were really looking forward to delicious gyros. We got machine-cut fat with a little meat in it. It appeared that the meat had already been cut and then kept warm. The gyro was hard, old and soaked in fat. Inedible! For almost €19 per portion, guests can expect more. Unfortunately zero, really zero quality! The drinks, especially the water, were served in tasteful glasses and bottles Please avoid this store.

A very typical Greek. Portions are large enough and the price/performance ratio is OK. We sat outside and were served quickly and friendly. Saganaki was good but a bit bland. Biftekin and grill plate was tasty and a good portion. We paid €60 each with a drink. There was also the typical free ouzo.☺️

The restaurant itself is nice and there was a nice atmosphere. I was also satisfied with the service; I was sufficiently taken care of. However, I don't think the prices for this meal are really fair. The starters were still okay/good but we weren't happy with the main courses.

To everyone who appreciates Leipzig gastronomy: My suggestion, the Greek restaurant Elliniki at Reichsstraße 8! Very nice ambience, inside and out, excellent food selection and delicious drinks, first-class service, super friendly service that fulfills every wish. You get generous portions that are beautifully prepared, taste delicious and are really filling. The price-performance ratio is impressive. A big compliment to the entire team!

Unfortunately the impression of the restaurant was bad. We waited an hour for our order, the waiter forgot our order. Not once during the hour did a waiter come to our table. The quality of the food leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately we don't feel like going to this restaurant again.

Delicious food. Lunch menu at very reasonable prices. In the evenings it's more of an upper price range. Usually very well staffed - reservation could be worthwhile.

Great place for greek food and a cold beer or wine.

You can make a category, but you don't have to. Service is slow, tables in the outdoor area are only cleaned when requested, bread for the tzatzikki should be baked yourself, but could also be sold as a hammer in the hardware store. The prices also leave you unsettled. Location is great, but that’s it. There is no trace of the Greek attitude to life here, especially not on the palate.

We ordered from the restaurant today, unfortunately the white bread was forgotten for the starter. When we asked, it was said that it would be brought with the main course and then the menu says that there was a salad for each of the dishes that we had chosen. We received 1 salad and the white bread came with it When we asked, the service wasn't very friendly anymore and then the bill said 1 Uzou on the house for each of the two main courses, which we didn't receive either. very unfortunate with the prices

The food was good and tasty, for the price the portions could have been a little larger, but that wasn't the deciding factor. The service in the evening left a lot to be desired. While you were already served your main course, others at the table had to wait another 20 minutes to get their main course in addition to their side dish. The side dish was already cold by then. In general, the restaurant wasn't full that evening, so you would have liked a little more attention from the waiter. And the fact that you aren't offered a single ouzo after a stay of over 3 hours is a remarkable achievement for a Greek.

By far the worst Greek restaurant I’ve ever visited. Waiters are completely lost, food is bellow average, but prices are rather high.

Food tends to be on the expensive side, while the rather average quality of the food can't keep up. Keller also rather clueless about the food on offer. You can do it, but of all the Greeks I know, this one is unfortunately on the lower end of the scale. Except for the price...

The Greek restaurant is located in the city center on Reichsstrasse. Many seating options are available. We sat outside and there was a lot of wind. There was no real comfort there. The service was friendly and quick. Drinks and food came quite quickly. We had been forgotten over the ouzo, which was made up for later. The dishes were all tasty and plentiful. The price level is demanding. 3 starters, 4 main dishes and 8 drinks cost over €150. Nearby parking spaces are also expensive.

The food itself was delicious, although the lamb fillet was fried completely, despite being cooked medium rare. It wasn't crowded but the service was mediocre.

Unfortunately, the food was very carelessly prepared. It was just the steak and fries. No salad or other vegetables as decoration. Still, it tasted good. The service was nice, although our waiter was constantly eating and was also chewing when he brought us food. The sight wasn't so beautiful. Maybe he just snacked on our fries. xD With us there were only 3 tables occupied in the restaurant and there were two waiters. So it wasn't too stressful for them (in my opinion).

The restaurant is beautifully designed and you feel very comfortable inside. The employees are friendly. The food is good, but it wasn't enough for us to be very good. The starter plate could be improved, but everything still tasted good. Would come again. Also very suitable for a larger group.

It was our first visit here. The food was fantastic, best Greek ever. Not everything frozen or fried. Friendly service. Maybe leave a little more time between courses. We sat very comfortably in a sitting area. Beautiful interior, so highly recommended.

The food was just average and the atmosphere in the restaurant was anything but pleasant. The head waiter's tone with one of the waiters really bothered me. The tables were shaky and the restaurant could desperately use a renovation. I can't recommend it and probably won't eat there again. The food was just mediocre, and the restaurant vibe was far from pleasant. Witnessing the head waiter's attitude towards one of the servers left me really uneasy. The tables were wobbly, and the place could seriously use a makeover. I wouldn't recommend it, and I doubt I'll be dining there again anytime soon.

An extremely disappointing lunch: the spanakopita (cheese and feta triangles) were insipid (and had, I felt, been heated up in a microwave), the chicken and pasta was FAR too salty, the carafe red wine was very ordinary. The waiter, not very friendly to begin with, became openly hostile after I’d complained about the salty main course. To the point of asking me to leave, as he needed the table. Except that it was 3pm and three-quarters of the tables were empty by that time. And I hadn’t finished my wine. In other words, he was just being unpleasant for the sake of being unpleasant. (I had by that time spent over €60…) When I visit Leipzig I regularly go to ALFA, an excellent Greek restaurant (Ratfreischulstraße 8-10). I thought I would try Elliniki for a change, and now wish I hadn’t bothered. The waiter was the worst part. He was all smiles with the girls at the next table (who, ironically, seemed far more interested in each other than in him). I wish I’d asked what he was called; I could have named and shamed him. He certainly deserves it.

We were also impressed by the Greek cocktails because we had never had that at a Greek restaurant. We had an all-round great evening where we didn't miss anything. When we are in Leipzig we will be happy to come back.
