The food is always good and the service is very friendly. I am consistently very satisfied with the service.

Where do I even begin? You should only go there if you have no taste buds. The food is absolutely awful. Greasy, barely lukewarm. We arrived a bit late, and they started closing the buffet while we were still eating—it was 9:20 p.m., and the buffet was supposed to be open until 10:00 p.m. Which wasn't so bad from a culinary point of view. Then we stayed a while longer. I watched the women cleaning up. Definitely a reason not to go back. There was a pink cloth. Well, it was used for EVERYTHING. Starting with the ice cream, they used ONE spatula to smooth all the different flavors back into the containers, one after the other, without cleaning them. Perfect for people with nut allergies, for example. Then they used the pink cloth to clean the outside of the containers and their rims. After that, they wiped down the ice cream freezer without washing it. Then the pink cloth changed hands. They even used it to wipe down the clean tables. Washing things out? Nonsense, totally overrated. The pink cloth was then used to "clean" the chef's dish, both inside and out. If there was a bit more of a stain on the dish, it was wiped off with the water it was holding and a finger. This was especially tasty with the dim sum, which are steamed with water. The pink cloth's journey wasn't over yet, and it hadn't seen fresh water. Finally, the surfaces around the chef's fish and the areas where the hot and cold food was kept were cleaned with it. This started with the salad area, then dessert, then the area where all the fried food was, and of course the sushi, fresh vegetables, and fresh meat and fish. It's amazing how much dirt a single cloth can absorb, and all in a very environmentally friendly way, without using water and dish soap. The grill master, of course, cleaned his grill himself. But without the pink cloth; instead, he used a steel wool pad and yellow cloths. Which actually sounds pretty great. No, no, those yellow rags came from a bucket I wouldn't even use to clean the stairwell. I initially thought it was the bucket for the food scraps they scrape off the plates. Although, they should have used those; they were cleaner. So, nobody's getting me back there. I've already taken some activated charcoal tablets at home, just in case. Who knows what else might happen?

Buffet Chinese Restaurant. The fresh food is delicious. Non-alcoholic drinks are included. Service is okay. Unfortunately, it's not as good as it used to be. The Mongolian grill takes quite a while. This dish was a bit too salty. The duck sat too long. The re-prepared version was very tasty. It's just difficult to get hold of. The parking lot at Rewe is very large. The bus stop and Saarbahn tram are right in front of the restaurant. Access is from the parking lot. So, if necessary, use the passageway by Aldi.

Never again. It used to be quite good, but yesterday it was a huge disappointment... The food was bad, the drinks were self-service from the fridge, cheap and bad.

The staff was overworked, the eggs were moldy and not fresh – absolutely unhygienic – and the salmon sushi was too sweet. When I ordered something else to take away, they gave me things I didn't want.

First of all, I have to say: you should set your expectations realistically, and then you won't be disappointed. We ate there for lunch on a Sunday, right when the buffet opened. Naturally, we were free to choose our own seats, and we had a nice, bright spot. However, many of the back areas are relatively dark. The ambiance is a bit dated, and they've tried to squeeze the maximum number of seats into the space, which is something you often see in Chinese buffet restaurants—no question, it could be better. The dishes also seem dated. Many glasses are dull, the glass bowls are also heavily scratched, and they could replace them with new ones, which certainly wouldn't be a luxury. The dishes therefore appear to be frequently dirty, but are simply very worn. I've seen criticism of the food in other reviews. For me, it was exactly what I expected and paid for. It's not a Chinese deli, of course, but both the Mongolian grill and the fresh dishes were regularly refilled, were always warm, and seemed fresh to me. The selection was also more than sufficient. In terms of taste, I'd call it standard; nothing blew me away, but nothing disappointed me either. I found the value for money extremely good for Saarbrücken, especially since they include a flat rate for soft drinks, juices, and water. I actually think that's a great distinguishing feature. The staff was attentive and very friendly. Bottom line: a standard Chinese buffet restaurant with very good value for money.

HORRIBLE!! The whole meal was tasteless; it was still from the morning and completely dried out! Better invest a little more money in a good all-you-can-eat place! Dessert was everything from the Aldi next door.

The Pavilion. Really good in the first few years. Then it declined. But recently, the quality and taste have been really good again. Has the chef changed? Has he been trained? In any case, I'm happy about it, because it's large and there's almost always room without a reservation.

I used to be a regular at this Chinese restaurant because it impressed me with its good food, friendly service, and pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, none of that remains today. The quality of the food has declined dramatically – much of it tastes bland, some of it even poorly prepared. The buffet seems unloved, the meat dry, the sauces watery, and lacks freshness. There's hardly any trace of the Asian cuisine you'd expect. The ambiance now resembles a cafeteria. It's loud, uncomfortable, and the clientele increasingly feels like they're at a cheap fast food joint. There's no trace of atmosphere or hospitality. The buffet area is particularly unhygienic: hundreds of hands are touching the same tongs without any disinfectant provided. This is not only negligent these days, but simply disgusting. The cocktails are also a disaster – poorly mixed, with missing ingredients, and completely lacking in the craft. For this price, I expect significantly higher quality. Overall, the price is absolutely no longer justified. This used to be a solid, upscale Asian restaurant – today it just feels like an overpriced, unhygienic fast-food restaurant. I definitely won't be coming back. It's a real shame what this place has become.

I am very disappointed. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations, and the service was insufficiently friendly. The dishes, including glasses, plates, and cutlery, were not sufficiently cleaned and were dirty. For the price paid, a higher level of quality is to be expected. The only person who was very polite was the young man who cleared the plates.

It used to be much better. A lot of things weren't fresh on Saturday. So, I told the waitress that it was the air in the refrigerator. Never again.

Food wise, not the best… The workers didn‘t seem to want to be there anymore, they weren‘t that friendly. The thing that bothered me to the most were the metal clips you use to put on your plate so that the cook knows which table it‘s from. Just by looking at them we realised how dirty they were. They were sticky and clearly haven‘t been cleaned in a while… Not very hygienic.

I'm only giving this rating because it's the second time I've been there and it wasn't any better the first time, but I thought to myself, OK, maybe they just had the wrong day, but I see the quality is the same! “All You Can Regret” – there’s really nothing about it that needs to be repeated Eating is supposed to bring joy, but at this restaurant it feels more like a punishment. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by a waiter who had the air of a Monday morning - a young, unkempt man whose desire to work was about as great as our desire to get food poisoning. His expression fluctuated between “Why am I here?” and “Why are you here?” – a question that we also asked ourselves over the course of the evening. The all-you-can-eat buffet was an emotional rollercoaster, but one that only went downhill. While some dishes were tolerable, others stood out for their sheer disrespect for the art of cooking. Particularly outstanding: the chicken pieces in a breading that tasted somewhere between used oil and damp cardboard. Anyone looking for crispy lightness here was served a culinary monument instead. But the real highlight of the disappointment was the caipirinha we decided to treat ourselves to - a decision we bitterly regretted. A real caipirinha consists of cachaça, lime, cane sugar and crushed ice - whereas the drink we received was just pure alcohol desperation. No lime, no sugar, no flavor – just an ice-cold, burning reminder that we actually paid money for that sad glass of liquid. As if that wasn't enough, the glass was only half full, probably because the grumpy waiter couldn't wait to get rid of it. Conclusion: If you want to experience what it feels like to be treated as a nuisance while consuming questionable food and drunken cocktails, this is the place for you. For everyone else: Look for a restaurant where the service and kitchen do not work together against the guest.

I just had a buffet there, but unfortunately I couldn't recommend it at all. I think it's a thing for people who like to eat a lot for cheap, but it's not good for it. All the food I took from the buffet was cold, then I thought I'd wait for it to arrive fresh and it tasted like fat. The sweet and sour sauce and the meat in it were absolutely inedible. The mushrooms were not cleaned properly, which is why the stem of each mushroom was rock hard at the end. The beef was the gum and the chicken skewers were made in 100% the same oil as the fish. But the crowning glory were the small cakes from the dessert buffet, which were hard as a rock and really not edible. For the insolence they showed you, you were asked at least twice in a sharp tone whether you were there for the buffet, as if you were just coming in there to hang around. There really is absolutely more in it, I was there for the second time today because I thought that everyone should be given a second chance, but unfortunately I was disappointed. For 100 marks.

I find it difficult to understand the positive reviews; Maybe the evening buffet is tastier and fresher... When I order a la carte there to pick up, the food isn't top class but it's okay. It also comes straight from the kitchen. We've been there three times for lunch in the last six months for the buffet. When it comes to taste, there are worlds in between. It seems to me as if the "sauces" are just flavor enhancers. That would certainly explain the slippery consistency, even with the meat. This also makes the food taste very artificial and not like what it is. Of course, meat can also be stored for longer... The food is often cold and is not refilled. Some dishes give the impression that they are from the day before. The desserts are actually from Aldi on the ground floor 🤣 I've seen them shopping there several times. The switched on chocolate fountain covered with aluminum foil is probably intended for the evening buffet. Fresh is different. Some of the employees walk around in sweatpants, everyone has a different outfit. But the tables are cleared quickly and the ladies are nice. When the restaurant reopened years ago under the first owner, it was much more warmly decorated and there were more employees to look after you. Drinks flat rate: half-empty bottles (who knows how old) from the bar are poured into the bottles from the self-service refrigerator with peace of mind. This is unprofessional and not necessarily healthy. I can't say anything about the evening buffet, but I was disappointed several times at lunchtime. We also regularly eat at other Chinese restaurants. There you can find fresh ingredients with seasoned and cooked sauces. Even though flavor enhancers are often used there, they put a lot more effort into it. My recommendation: order a la carte, then strangely enough it tastes much better and fresher.

Just been there yesterday, food was fresh and tasty, warm food in containers with lids, constantly refilled, all drinks included in the flat rate. The staff is always friendly and helpful. These malicious reviews are a mystery to me and have been going on for years. It's best to try it yourself.

I went here with my girlfriend to try something new but unfortunately we were disappointed. The food was not tasty and very greasy. We had to keep rinsing it down with water. The selection was very limited and there was hardly any refills. Many dishes tasted old and not fresh. Even dessert was disappointing, and the salad - which you usually can't go wrong with - wasn't tasty either. Overall the visit wasn't worth it. We definitely won't be coming back.

I ordered via ToGoodToGo for the evening. You can come from 10 p.m. I was there at 9:50 p.m., which was actually too early. I was allowed to go to the buffet, but the staff was already clearing away the sushi, sesame balls and other food that I would have liked to have taken away before 10 p.m. 8 delicacies, fried shrimp (who deep-fried breaded shrimp when the shell is still on?), chicken liver and other things were just barely there to scrape out. After a long and nerve-wracking search for a restaurant where I could offer my tongue a new culinary excursion and fill my tummy with a treat, I came across the China Mongolian Pavilion. A little impressed by the numerous reviews, I sacrificed 69 hours of my valuable time to read all 1263 reviews of this Chinese restaurant. When I did this I was very conflicted. Nevertheless, I decided to visit this amazing restaurant with my little Budschie Pascal Andreas Karl Heinz Peter Collin Arnold Markus Jeremy Hubertus von Gaalen. After 12 days of traveling, we parked our automobile with the serial number 1871200223475628 in the parking lot. The parking prices were exorbitantly high, but not a problem for a rich sheikh like me. In order not to be disturbed by other homosapiens during my visit, I reserved the entire restaurant. The food tasted very average, although the dessert was an absolute delight. The staff was very friendly and tried very hard. However, I can only rate this with 4 stars because I only received my well-deserved fortune cookie when I asked. This was filled with delicate wisdom written on parchment, wrapped in a delicious cookie layer and wrapped in plastic. I was just hoping for the best wisdom, but when it was written on the elegant-looking parchment that I would soon receive Karius and Bactus, I decided to sue the China Mongolian Pavilion. Krupuk had apparently been sitting open on the buffet for days, it wasn't crispy. Quality of the food underground. The waitresses tried hard.

Two stars may not seem like much at first glance, but I would describe it as entirely sufficient. It's not very good, not just good, you don't come out of it satisfied either. It is simply sufficient throughout. You get everything you would expect in a restaurant like this and of a quality that is just enough not to complain. You can visit, you don't have to.

I suffered diarrhea from this restaurant and would not recommend it. The squid rings are coated with laxatives, which permanently deactivate the sphincter. Dear China Team, I wanted to share my very valuable experience after my culinary trip. When I was there recently with others, I was recommended to try the delicacy called “squid rings”. This seemed extremely tempting to me, which is why I set out on the 3 meter long path to get hold of it. When I arrived back at the table, I was relieved to have completed this difficult journey. My friends were eager to hear my opinion as I bit the ring. The second it was eaten, something unexpected suddenly happened. The long-preventable diarrhea. I flew out the window to my toilet and decided to avoid this store forever and ever. But fortune cookies were awesome so 3 stars.

Very nice spacious restaurant with a variety of food and drinks. The buffet isn't quite as big, but it's definitely sufficient and the food tastes delicious. However, you should only put what you can eat on your plate, otherwise a fee of five euros will be charged. I personally think it's good. Don't worry if there is still a grain of rice on the plate, no one will say anything. Service is quick and friendly.

We have been guests here about once a year for 10 years. There are a few positive things and a lot of negative things that made us stop going there. One of the positive things is that they not only have all-you-can-eat but also all-you-can-drink. So the drinks are included in the buffet. (At least in the evening. We don't go there at lunchtime.) Another plus point is that the staff is usually fairly friendly. What I find negative is the quality of the food, which is rather below average. For €27 I expect a little more. In addition, they are supposedly open until 11 p.m. and the buffet is open until 10 p.m. But effectively you don't need to go there after 9 p.m. because the first things at the buffet are no longer refilled. However, sushi is usually very scarce at 9 p.m. Desserts are all from the supermarket. The vegetarian selection is OK, but not extensive. If you come after 9 p.m. it is very limited. Accordingly, you can still sit there from 9:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., but there's nothing left to eat. If you want something late in the evening, the restaurant is not recommended.

Absolutely not recommended! The food was cold and the quality was poor. When the waitress pointed out that the food was cold, the only response was that we had taken the wrong plates. We probably would have taken the cold plates and not the warm plates. You would also have to stir the food before putting it on your plate. Regarding the sushi, especially the ones with the mushy, sometimes brown avocados, the answer was that they sometimes come from the store like that. This reinforced our impression of poor quality. The food was also not refilled. You had to be content with what was still there. We, a group of 9 people, were thoroughly disappointed with this restaurant visit!

I've never had such a bad meal because of this Mongolian restaurant. I don't send the receipt attached so that it will later say that I didn't visit the restaurant. First point: the climate was a disaster at 30°, I sweated more than I did the food. The food was dry. It felt like the food had been there for 2.3 days. We were here last night for the first time in several years. Unfortunately it has become much worse than before, I have never eaten so badly. Definitely not recommended. The food wasn't fresh and didn't taste good either. The hot food had been hard, as if it had been kept warm for days. Only the vegetables were good, but that doesn't save it either. For 120€ 4 people and a child is quite expensive for this quality. I'm speechless how you can serve something like that to your guests.

Was here again today after a long time. When we arrived we had to wait until one of the younger gentlemen came to meet us at the door. Service has become really bad compared to before. The food also left a lot to be desired. The only thing that saved a star is the duck. The desserts look extremely cheap, discount store level. I think 26.90 euros is a bit excessive for an adult. We'll probably reorient ourselves.

I was thrilled with my visit to the Chinese restaurant Pavillon in Saarbrücken! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. The food was simply outstanding - from the fresh ingredients to the masterful preparation of the dishes, everything tasted wonderful. I would particularly like to emphasize the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, which made our evening a special experience. I can highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Restaurant on the 1st floor, with elevator. Meals taken on site Saturday lunchtime. All-you-can-eat buffet at €16.90, with soft drinks. Buffet with a very limited choice of foods and average quality. Free parking but very dirty, lots of waste littering the ground.

Been there several times recently and over the years, food has always been miserable, consistently. Everything was kept warm, nothing was fresh, the quality of the goods or food was very poor and everything was greasy, everything was really disgusting without exception. Iced tea from Lidl, cheap and sugary desserts from the discount store. Wonder where all the people who say it was good ate there.

In previous reviews it has already been written that the food is cold. Shouldn't we then try to change that? That was definitely our last visit…. I don't even want to start talking about hygiene... going to the restaurant with a child who is still being changed is not a good idea. The toilets were also a disaster, you didn't get the impression that they were cleaned every day.

I had lunch today around 5 p.m. with my family. I'll never be a guest there again. The buffet was cold, extremely greasy and the taste was 0.0. The buffet wasn't even refilled, let alone checked to see if everything was OK. The service also left a lot to be desired. The ambience was so-so an aquarium with water from the 40's, dead fish and strange smells. Will avoid this restaurant in the future!

The restaurant had a good vibe and most of the food was great, especially the grilled stuff (both meat and seafood). It tasted yummy! But the curries weren't so good, they could be better. They had lots of drinks to choose from (sodas, juice, etc.). However, it was very expensive! The price is too high, 26.90 euros for dinner buffet in Saarbrucken feels unfair. I think 20–21 euros would be a fairer price considering the food quality, options, and setting. I hope they consider adjusting it.

Pavilion has again greatly improved in the quality and presentation of the food. There were 6 of us there and everyone was really very positively surprised. Price performance fits again...👍

Much to the negative has diminished... Food was cold, staff were sometimes unfriendly... the food was nice and hot before... unfortunately it was the last visit... a shame

Great buffet during the day. Large selection... something for everyone. In the evening with Mongolian grill. Weekend prices a bit high.

Very disappointing! We went there because I was craving sushi and the restaurant advertises itself as a “sushi bar”. You can see from the photos what was actually available. We were there in the early evening (around half past seven) and when we asked, we were told that no sushi would be refilled either. Annoying

Service 1 🌟 because of self-service, but extremely delicious food. It's also nice to sit in the spacious restaurant. We always enjoy going there.

Where do you start, where do you end. Let's start with the table, since I had pre-ordered it was off to the corner. Explanation for the drinks at the front on the side, no further explanation about what beer or wine looks like. Let's continue with the sushi, some of the rice balls (I call them that) looked like the larger the less the guest eats. The basa sauce (unfortunately it has to be called that) had lost its spiciness due to its consistency. The dishes that characterize every Chinese restaurant, except for, I would say, 8 ingredients, all ended up in the deep fryer. Who else fries whole shrimps with shells in breading? Let's come to the Mongolian grill, I would like to note again, we are at a Chinese restaurant, what are frog legs doing there, the shrimp were still frozen, the salmon, oh yes, which one, was not available. I'll just end it here. You've tried it and it's good.

The buffet was empty. Sushi completely empty at 7 p.m. We had to complain 3 times and when we were having dessert at 9 p.m. new sushi arrived. The meat/salmon from the Mongolian buffet was also empty. Unbelievable really. The rest was a complete disaster in terms of taste. You can't eat in peace either - the restaurant is a children's playground. Small children from other tables play under our table. Drinks selection poor. Then ask for 26.99 euros!! Never again.
