So for me it's the best Chinese restaurant I've ever eaten. The meat was nice and tender and the vegetables were also steamed very well. I have no idea about fish because I generally don't eat fish. The ambience and staff are super nice. An empty plate doesn't sit around at the table for long. For me a smooth 10/10. Really recommended.

We always enjoyed eating here, but today the food was so bad that we won't come back. It's a real shame that this restaurant has fallen into disrepair.

We were at the New Phoenix today, on a Thursday lunchtime around 2:30 p.m., and we really enjoyed it. The service was reserved but very friendly and quick. The buffet was plentiful, fresh and varied. My husband, a sushi lover, was really impressed with the selection. I stuck to the food at the buffet and got my money's worth. We enjoyed it wonderfully and the price was also reasonable. We didn't expect that and will definitely be back. Just the thing after a strenuous shopping trip.

It used to be passable, but now the food is unreasonable, if not downright outrageous. Everything is soggy, bland and lukewarm, which is a shame, it used to be really easy to order a small bite here.

I have no complaints about the cuisine. Good and fresh food with a wide variety of options. However, they should include the cost of drinks in the buffet pricing. 3.8 euros for a 200-300 ml coke or pepsi makes no sense because you end yourself getting two glasses of beverages, which is an additional 7.6 euros! 7.6 Euros only for drinks! I only gave it 3 stars for this reason.

Since my first visit, I have preferred eating there for the buffet. Price/performance is really great. Food is very tasty, very large selection. There is duck, chicken, beef, pork, fish, ice cream, various cakes, jelly and so on. I don't understand some of the reviews here, but that's also a typical German mentality when you expect a free buffet for your children. What a world some people live in... Also that someone complains that there are hardly any vegetarian dishes. xD boy, this is a Chinese buffet and not a veggie restaurant. Just inform us beforehand instead of complaining. It may be that the quality has decreased with the new owner, I only know the current one and that's definitely more than okay for me for €17.

A great Chinese buffet with a large selection. There are hot dishes, sushi, ice cream and desserts. A real recommendation. In addition, there are always places available without reservation

Cold/warm buffet. Sushi, chicken, beef, pork with noodles, rice and all sorts of vegetables. Anyone who likes Chinese or Asian food is well served here. No star cuisine... But which Chinese restaurant has that!?

I really enjoy using it to eat cheap sushi there and love the huge selection of desserts. But for me it's not where I would like to go for a fancy dinner in the evening. But very good as a buffet restaurant. I really like the food there, especially the huge selection of different food, if you can't find anything you can eat here, I can't help you. The service is always very nice and courteous. Unfortunately there are not enough staff for too many places. Which I think is a shame, but above all I feel very sorry for the staff there.

Update March 2024: the quality of service and food has improved significantly again, the criticism has obviously been taken to heart, almost back to the level of the previous owners. Great go on. Unfortunately, the quality of service (you sit in front of empty plates and glasses for ages) and food (it's hardly ever refilled, looks like it's been sitting there for a long time, tastes mostly too salty) has declined significantly since the change of ownership. We used to go there often and with pleasure, only friendly, attentive staff and great food. Unfortunately, both are a thing of the past. We'll have to find a new restaurant. A pity.

Absolute impudence from the employee. Ate the buffet there for €15.90. We didn't want anything to drink as we had a drink beforehand. After we had finished eating, the very unfriendly waitress came and told us (there is no information here on the website, neither in the restaurant nor on the menu or anywhere else) that it costs €1 more for each of us because we didn't buy any drinks. It's not about the €1 for me. But that it was neither told to us nor is it anywhere. Therefore, this is not legal and should not be done that way. If you had asked politely, it wouldn't have been a problem. After all, you make money from it, but with such a stroppy tone and insolent manner and after eating while we were finished with everything, simply saying that is not possible. New Phoenix, always enjoyed eating with you, now we will look for another restaurant. Impudence!!!

Was there for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The facility is a bit older, but the service, price and buffet were convincing. Despite the full local food, there was always fresh and plentiful food at the buffet.

A bit hidden "behind" the Saar bazaar but otherwise a good place for lunch or dinner. The food was tasty and hot, the drinks were cool, and the value for money was impeccable. I would describe the ambience as typical, nothing particularly stands out. Of course, this is not an address for an upscale Asian gourmet evening (I don't think that's the target group of the restaurant either) but for the price the service is worth 5 stars!

I've ordered there so many times and eaten there. I've never had such terrible food delivered like today!!! Duck on noodles totally charred, not suitable for consumption! At that price I would have brought the food back if I had been mobile! Absolutely no longer recommended since the owner changed

I've been to the New Phönix for a while now. The food was very fine. The buffet was always full, even though the restaurant was completely full. It was a successful meal.

We all ordered cards today. The food is served with a hot plate and warm plates. When the plates came we were totally amazed, they were portions that two people could have eaten from one plate. It was that much. But it was super tasty and hot😊👍 We had fried noodles with chicken and Bami Goreng with curry, slightly spicy but very good and juicy👍👍

We were regular customers, so to speak. We ate there regularly and enjoyed eating well. Celebrated birthdays too. Unfortunately since the ownership changed it is no longer good. The food doesn't taste as good anymore and the service is completely overwhelmed. You wait forever for drinks, the plates and glasses pile up on the table. It won't be put away. We then ordered 2x fried noodles to take away for the children. The big awakening at home was baked bananas. It's a shame that the "boss" is no longer there, she didn't have anything like that. It was our last visit to New Phoenix 😪

It used to be so delicious and cozy that we celebrated birthdays there with family and friends several times a year. But that will be the last time today. Some of the sushi was so dried out that you really wanted to spit it out. Broccoli and green beans hard as they may only have seen boiling water for a short time. The banana balls were rock hard and dried out, the sesame balls with the paste were so tough that you could hardly bite off a piece. Of the five pieces of duck on my plate, only one was edible, the rest was impossible to chew and no, I don't have bad teeth. The chicken in one dish tasted strange and had a sticky consistency. I was able to have a drink throughout my stay, as the service was conspicuously absent in an almost empty restaurant. Of course, I told the waitress exactly what I wrote here and the waitress also brought in a second woman to whom I told the whole thing again, but in the end no one was interested. We were also told in a very unfriendly way that card payments were very unpopular with them and that only cash payments were good. I don't want to form an opinion on this now, why why, but when the device failed last time, we of course went to get money. There's nothing they can do about it, but if everything works, it's up to me how I want to pay, if you do offer both. What annoys me the most is that we have spent so many great evenings there for at least ten years with good food, friendly service and top service. When we were there in December, for another birthday, we noticed that it wasn't what it used to be. Neither in terms of service nor quality, but today it really topped it all. It's a shame, but then we have to look around and see where we can become a new regular guest group from now on.

Unfortunately it doesn't really deserve a star for me. Was there for the first time and unfortunately the food is anything but tasty. A lot of things were just too hard and didn't taste good and as a vegetarian there wasn't much to get from the buffet. Unfortunately the service was also very unfriendly. When we asked to wait before ordering the drinks because others were coming, we were pressured five times to order now because otherwise it would be too much, even though the restaurant was almost empty. Card payment was only grumpily accepted the third time you said you didn't have any cash. After complaining, the small shots were handed out to us without a word and a tray of fortune cookies was handed to us. Unfortunately we were there for the first and last time.

Seit das Restaurant im Sommer vorigen Jahres von neuen Pächtern übernommen wurde, fühle ich mich dort nicht mehr so wohl. Die Bedienungen sind völlig überfordert und lächeln fast nie. Mir fehlt das alte Team, dass mich und meine Familie immer herzlich empfangen hat.

I was a regular guest at the restaurant years ago. Today I ordered there for the first time and the food was really bad. Chicken with red Thai curry was swimming in fat, the actual sauce could only be found at the bottom. The fried noodles were soaked in soy sauce and rubbery. I have hardly eaten anything and the food is more than heavy on my stomach. I won't order there anymore.

We have been celebrating birthdays with friends there for more than 10 years. We have always been satisfied, until today. It was horrible, the food was horrible. The vegetables were hard and tasteless. The baked bananas were probably two days old, they were so hard. I could list a lot. When we asked if the chef had changed, we were told no, it was the one who was always there. That cant be true. There were 20 people who had something to complain about, but we were basically ignored. They also didn't ask if you wanted something else to drink, so 20 people only had 1 drink. For us it was definitely the last time we were there. I'm sure several people have already said that because there were maybe 15-20 people in the restaurant. It's a shame, we really always enjoyed being there and at least 6-7 times a year. I almost forgot to write that card payments are undesirable. You basically have to open your wallet and show that you don't have any cash with you. I explained at least four times that I didn't have any cash and the waitress kept asking. It's sad what such a great restaurant has become

Ich hatte über Lieferando bestellt . Das Essen kam zügig und verdammt heiß an ! Die Gemüse , welche in den Gerichten verarbeitet werden , haben noch knackig Biss und das Essen allgemein war sehr frisch und fantastisch gewürzt. 😋 Ich würde jeder Zeit wieder dort bestellen. ❤️

Ich kann mich dem Vorredner nur anschließen. Wir gehen seit Jahren immer mal wieder hin. Es war immer sehr angenehm, das Essen war gut und der Service freundlich. Leider nun das komplette Gegenteil !!!!! Beim reinkommen wird man erst mal garnicht beachtet, man steht blöd herum, bis man einen Tisch zugewiesen bekommt. Wenn man dann bei Tisch sitzt, kommt erstmal 10 Minuten niemand. Kurz und knapp, nach dem Essen wollten wir zahlen . KARTENZAHLUNG ist wohl NICHT erwünscht. Wir wollten unsere Buffets und Getränke zahlen und wurden ernsthaft gefragt ob wir in Bar zahlen können. Erst als wir dies verneint haben , da wir kein Bargeld bei hatten, wurde die Kartenzahlung pampig akzeptiert. Man bekommt zu spüren, dass kartenzahlung wohl nicht erwünscht ist. Danach bekamen wir noch nichtmal den kleinen Abschlusscocktail den es schon seit Jahren gibt,und den auch an diesem Abend jeder bekam, weil man anscheinend angesäuert ist. Uns geht es nicht um das Abschlussgetränk um gottes Willen, aber ums Prinzip. Noch nichtmal ein "Auf Wiedersehen". Also wenn das die neue Philosophie des Restaurants ist, dann sind die Tage gezählt.... wir werden nicht mehr hingehen.

Wir haben über Lieferando bestellt. Das Essen (gebratener Reis mit Gemüse + gebratener Reis mit Hünchen + Erdnusssoße) kam vor der angegebenen Zeit heiß an. Die Portionen waren sehr groß für das Geld und haben super geschmeckt. Wir werden wahrscheinlich morgen noch davon essen. Zudem gab es Soja Soße und scharfe Soße als auch Früchte gratis dazu. Wir werden auf jeden Fall öfter bestellen. Vielen lieben Dank für das super Essen.

Das Essen war sehr gut und das Buffett war sehr gut durchdacht. Es wird sich gut darum gekümmert und ständig frisch nachgelegt. Die Auswahl ist gut und alles war wirklich sehr lecker, was nicht zuletzt daran liegt, das nicht in Massen hingelegt wird wie ich es aus Neuss und Düsseldorf kenne, sondern Ständig frisch zubereitet wird. Trotzdem ist immer alles da, es entstehen keine Wartezeiten obwohl es gut besucht war. Es war alles auf Punkt gewürzt, nichts zu scharf, nichts zu salzig. Tolle, gut ausgewogene Saucen (selten so gute Erdnusssace gegessen!) und schneller, freundlicher Service. Wir haben absolut nichts vermisst, das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist prima. Würden wir hier wohnen, würdet ihr dem Gourmet Palace zu dem wir in Düsseldorf sonst gehen definitiv Konkurrenz machen. ;) Danke für das tolle Essen! Die spontane Entscheidung bei euch zu essen hat sich definitiv gelohnt! Absolut top!

Ist gut zu erreichen, denn man kann von Adler direkt ins Lokal gehen. Das Essen war sehr gut.

Also zuerst muss man seinen Tisch selbst sauber machen, das Essen is nicht so lecker, wenn ich es mit Dillingen Vergleiche sind es Welten, ich werde hier leider nicht mehr hin kommen

Reichhaltige Auswahl am Büffet für jeden Geschmack. Alles was das Herz begehrt bis hin zum Dessert. Geschmackvoll dargeboten, sehr sauber und preislich vollkommen in Ordnung.

The best you can get if you're looking for such kind of place (Chinese all you can eat). They also participate in Too Good To Go and give away monstrous portions for only 4.5 euros. The employees are nice and usually put something extra if you're ordering via delivery service.

I have ordered dinner from New Phoenix through Lieferando quite a few times. Each time it tasted amazing. They included free fruits and snacks with the order. I picked up a Meal bag from them as well. As I was too early I had to wait, the nice lady in charge gave me a welcome drink to enjoy while waiting.

Wirklich gut. Gute Auswahl. Vorspeise, Hauptgerichte und Desserts. Auch die "Sushi" Auswahl ist okay. Und nun zu den Preisen! Angemessen, nicht teuer. Da machen auch die ungewöhnlichen Öffnungszeiten (10-20 Uhr) nichts aus. Man weiss es ja. Die China Restaurants in Saarbrücken lahmen. Da ist das New Phönix (und das "Asia Bistro") eine willkommene Ausnahme. Ich empfehle das New Phönix. Werde bestimmt in Kürze wieder dort aufschlagen.

Super. Hier kann man sich mal so richtig vollschlagen 😁. Essen schmeckt echt lecker . Man weiß gar nicht wo man anfangen und aufhören soll. Weiter so !

Wir waren seit langem nochmal dort, die Qualität ist wirklich gut. Es gibt von allem reichlich, der Service ist sehr aufmerksam, Teller werden schnell abgeräumt. Alles was ich probiert habe, war von guter Qualität, leider ist der Preis mit fast 16 Euro pro Person fast verdoppelt im Vergleich zu dem Preis, den man vor Jahren bezahlt hat. Wenn man in den Supermarkt geht, weiß man aber warum, die eingekauften Waren kosten halt einfach unfassbar mehr als vor Jahren

Sushi très riche en riz, armoire réfrigérée pleine de pâtisseries (allemande). Le plus, tout est traduit en français. Bémol: les tables sont nues, ni nappe, ni set.

Dann standen wir verblüfft vor verschlossener Gaststätte! DIN A4-Zettel wies auf fam. Schließungsgrund hin. Das ist alles! Kein einfacher Eintrag auf der Website! Hohe Spritkosten, Ärger, Verdruss!

Hier bekommen sie viel Essen, die Qualität ist Durchschnitt, satt wird man, der Geschmack ist auch ok. Das Lokal ist sauber.

Super aufgezogen! Super Essen! Ganz toller Service. Das Büfett ist abwechslungsreich und sehr schmackhaft. Wer da nichts findet, soll verhungern. Zu dem Menüpreis, der zZ gilt, gibts nichts zu sagen. Vorsicht bei Busse aus Frankreich, der Laden ist voll.

Freundlicher Empfang beim Eintreten durch echtes Personal eines China-Restaurants. Dies war mein zweiter Besuch, nachdem es mir beim ersten gut geschmeckt hat. Das preiswerte Buffet hat mich verführt. Es gibt auch a la Carte, aber ich entscheide mich wegen der Vielfalt an warmen Speisen und auch Salaten für die freie Auswahl. Und was besonders lecker aus der chinesischen Küche schmeckt, verlockt zu einem Nachschlag. Zumal immer wieder frisch Zubereitetes nachgeschoben wird. Frisches Obst, Eis und auch Süsses zum Nachtisch ist enthalten. Wer Sushi mag kann es sich hier gönnen. Ab und an facettenreicher Genuss aus chinesischer Küche mag ich, erst Recht wenn es auch noch preiswert (8,90 €) ist. Steht was ganz Besonderes zur Wahl kostet es zwei, drei Euro mehr. Das Lokal, durch Unterteilung etwas aufgelockert und übersichtlich, ist hell und ansprechend eingerichtet. Einheimische Getränke gibt es auf jeden Fall, inwieweit auch chinesische Getränke weiss ich nicht. Nettes Personal und zum Abschied gibt's noch ne Kleinigkeit. Parkplatz kein Problem, das Lokal im Gebäudekomplex des Saar-Basar ist auch von aussen zugänglich, (nicht nur durch Adler Modemarkt). Daraus ergeben sich auch die Öffnungszeiten, 11 - 20 Uhr, Montag incl. Samstag, aber Sonn- und Feiertags geschlossen (ausser verkaufsoffene Sonntage). Meine Empfehlung steht.

Wir sind zufällig nach dem Zoo Besuch in dieses Restaurant. Liegt ein wenig versteckt hinter einem Einkaufszentrum. Das Buffet kostet 8.90 €. Die Auswahl war in Ordnung. Geschmeckt hat es auch. Die Bedingungen räumten die Teller schnell weg. Der Manager überwachte das Buffet, das alles immer wieder aufgefüllt wird. Am Buffet entdeckte ich per Zufall eine kleine Info. Diese darauf hin wies, das man bei zu vielem Essensrest ab 2 € zusätzlich drauf zahlt. Das kann man sehen wie man möchte. Ich finde das ok.
