We decided to go for hotpot on Wednesday evening relatively spontaneously and found the place through Maps. Luckily, a reservation wasn't necessary; they still had space for us. The staff was fantastic. Quick, attentive, friendly, and helpful. As soon as we mentioned it was our first time, they explained everything to us step by step and helped us every step of the way. We sat there for at least two hours. So much delicious choice! Truly something for everyone (who's open to trying new things). Seafood, meat, vegetables, raw vegetables—everything was there, and everything you needed to cook it. Absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended! 💛 My foodie heart was happy, and my stomach was more than satisfied.

We are big hotpot fans and have experienced many authentic versions on our travels through Asia. We were all the more pleased to find a restaurant with a hotpot buffet in Saarbrücken – unfortunately, we were disappointed. The soup was already cold on the table upon arrival, there were only standard broths, and the buffet lacked the classic ingredients we've always found in hotpot dishes. Instead, there were sliced ​​bratwurst, diced ham, or mini tortellini – things that have little to do with real hotpot. The sauce buffet was also very limited. We politely pointed out to the manager that we were disappointed and that this had little to do with authentic hotpot. Her response was that "everyone can put whatever they want in the hotpot." When we asked where the tortellini came from, she said they came from France. We had the impression that they were trying to offer an all-you-can-eat hotpot with the cheapest ingredients possible to keep costs low and maximize returns. We've never experienced anything like this before. Conclusion: For anyone who knows and loves authentic hotpot, stay away.

While passing through town, we discovered this very nice restaurant! With its high-quality Chinese fondue, generously garnished with fresh ingredients and affordable prices. The impeccable service and friendly, friendly waiters make you want to come back again. I highly recommend it!😃

I can only recommend it! We've eaten hotpot in Düsseldorf, Mannheim, and Kaiserslautern. The restaurant here is absolutely amazing and can almost compete with the one in Düsseldorf. The staff is super friendly. The prices are fantastic.

We went there for the hotpot. The food was excellent, with both meat, fish, and vegetables. For 20.50 per person, you can't complain at all! There were (unfortunately) only two soups, but they were very, very tasty. Both the gentlemen who served us were super friendly, attentive, and very charming. We'd love to come back to Saarbrücken for this more often 🤞

I studied in China and ate similar dishes like spicy tofu and cabbage in the cafeteria there, in the shops, and at the university. That's why we always enjoy coming here. The prices are very reasonable and the service is good. The hotpot isn't worth it for vegetarians, but it's definitely great for meat eaters too. You should make a reservation, especially on weekends, and maybe even pre-order, as it's almost always full.

So the price/performance ratio was really, really good. We had the all-you-can-eat hot pot, and it was definitely worth it. It was delicious! I highly recommend it if you haven't tried it yet. I would definitely call ahead and reserve a table, though!

Upon entering the restaurant, I was transported back to the days of our own Chinese restaurant in the 90s. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, and the almost vintage-looking decor belies the wide selection of truly excellent Chinese food. If you've already had some Chinese experience, you'll recognize classic Chinese dishes like mapo doufu, steamed fish, sweet and sour ribs, and jiaozi at first glance. Initially skeptical due to the very reasonable price, I ended up impressed by both the quality and the price. The service staff was very friendly, and we felt very comfortable. Highchairs are available. This very well-maintained restaurant is also easily accessible from the main shopping street for day trippers! We would love to come back again!

(August 18, 2025) We'd had our eye on this restaurant for a while and finally went. We went without a reservation and were greeted very warmly. We were also told right away that it would take a while. In the end, we had to wait between 30 and 50 minutes for everything, but that didn't bother us at all; we had plenty of time and had been notified in advance. The server was sooooo sweet and friendly, and he apologized the whole time for the food taking a little longer, which we found extremely sweet. The food was really, really good, and well worth the price! All in all, we were served by very friendly staff and very good food.

We were in this restaurant again today. The waiter burped so loudly behind the counter that you could hear it at the table. We got our food and the duck was very burnt. We complained about the duck. The young waiter said he would take the food and drinks back and that we should leave. We asked him about the loud burping and said that was completely unacceptable. We then called the boss to the table and explained it to him. The young waiter then said that he would quit and leave. I think that was for the best. The location is also a bit run down due to water damage half a year ago and has a musty smell. See photos of the location.

We highly recommend this restaurant. We had hot pot there, which you can choose from a buffet and then cook in the broth at your table. There was something for every taste. Those who value a sterile environment and posh dining are in the wrong place, but for everyone else: You'll receive very friendly service, the food is exotic and delicious, and the atmosphere is down-to-earth and casual. The hot pot is our constant choice; it's a buffet where you simmer the food yourself in a delicious broth at your table. You can mix your own sauces, and soft drinks are included in the buffet for an additional €2. It's very affordable, so there's plenty of room for tips.

Actually, only 1 star. Unfortunately, I have to give 3 because otherwise the post won't be published. We've been here several times and, up until today, have been very impressed. The service has always been extremely friendly and the food super delicious. After today's experience, we won't be going back to the restaurant. Starting with the order. Besides us, there were two other tables occupied, each eating hotpot. We were probably only served because we called for service after about 15 minutes of waiting. The drinks came quickly, but one was incorrect. We watched the waiter set the other tables. While carrying several bowls, he held them with his chin, and as he placed them on the table, he reached into the bowls with his finger. I had already finished my appetizer before my companion got it. (Unfortunately, the soup didn't taste as good as usual, but more like gravy.) As previously observed, the plates were served with a finger on them. This is unacceptable. We waited an hour for our food, even though there were only about five tables occupied, and we were the only ones eating à la carte. Two dishes and the rice were almost cold. (The rice smelled strange and was discolored in some places.) The third dish didn't arrive for another 10 minutes, and the accompanying sauce (unfortunately, it didn't taste good at all) came after another delay. To top it all off, I found a hair in my food.

We were a bit skeptical at first because the restaurant seems a bit older, but the food and service are incredibly good. The hot pot is super delicious. There's a huge selection, the service is so friendly and incredibly child-friendly. We would come back anytime, even though it's a 50-minute drive. Highly recommended. A restaurant without music, which is very pleasant. The seating is comfortable, and the hot pot is delicious (depending on your personal preferences, of course) – the buffet has a large selection. The price of €22.50 is really great, especially since it includes soft drinks. And the best part was the really EXTREMELY friendly waiter. Thanks again for the great service!

The Chinese restaurant is our absolute favorite! The food is authentic and extremely tasty - simply great. We are particularly impressed by the price-performance ratio, which is truly unbeatable. No matter whether à la carte or hot pot, there is a full selection every day and without a day off! The restaurant is also perfect for families - child-friendly and always warm. The service is super nice and attentive, so you immediately feel at home. The furnishings are a bit old, but they contribute to the cozy and pleasant atmosphere. All in all, an absolute recommendation! We always enjoy coming back.

I'd even go so far as to say it's an insider tip; the menu items are authentic and not a modified European Chinese dish. The restaurant doesn't look particularly appealing from the outside or inside, but appearances can be deceiving. Price performance for the Dutch oven is really surprisingly good. For €22 per person you can eat and drink as much as you want except alcohol. The selection at the buffet is manageable but not small either. There is a decent selection of fish and seafood here. Vegetables and Chinese specialties are also available. Only the selection of meat is a bit poor and since most of it is frozen, unfortunately it's not 100% to my liking. The service is very nice and always friendly. They make every effort to teach the guests the art of the hot pot and offer to prepare sauce for the guests' special wishes. All in all, it's okay, but in my opinion the thing with the Dutch oven is being pushed too much by social media. Next time there will be “A la Carte” here, the tables looked very, very good to me and I almost regretted choosing the Dutch oven. All in all a worthwhile experience and we will see you again. Improvements will of course then be rewarded.

My absolute favorite when it comes to Asian food in Saarbrücken for years. The dishes here are actually authentically Chinese and at fair prices.

We had booked a table at 5:30 p.m. The restaurant didn't open until 5:40 p.m. HOT POT was good, but you get the drinks in liter bottles buffet dessert very clearly. Ice cream, tangerines and cheesecake.

I was more than thrilled! From the warm welcome to the fast and super friendly service to the food – everything was great! The dishes were fresh, incredibly tasty and the portions were more than generous. And all of this at a price that is truly unbeatable. Rarely have I left a restaurant so satisfied - absolutely recommended! I'll definitely be back!

A very outdated restaurant, but the service was as friendly as in Asia and exceptionally helpful. Fast service despite a full house, food was very authentic, delicious duck and shrimp. Highly recommended and, above all, great value for money, very cheap, also drinks 0.5L beer for 3.30, really amazing! I can only recommend it if you are not interested in the exterior. Please don't be surprised if the windows are fogged up. Everyone mostly had hot pot, hot sauces where you dip and cook meat, vegetables and seafood, so everything was nicely steamed everywhere. Lots of Asian people eat here, so very authentic

Friendly staff (even though my German is so bad and I don't know Chinese at all), good and very affordable foods. Their menu is very unlimited and the food portion is decent as well. It's not high-end quality, so the prices are somewhere between reasonable and cheap. This restaurant is my number one chinese craving choic anyways.

WORST SERVICE IN SAARBRÜCKEN, if you don't take a HOTPOT here you have to wait longer (1 hour) and are only served after the HOTPOT EVERY 20 guests!! Even though you came before...it's a shame

Great restaurant serving authentic Chinese food. There is everything your heart desires here, although more exotic dishes such as braised chicken feet must be ordered in advance. There is always a hot pot/fire pot/Chinese fondue in the evenings. In general, it is advisable to call and ask if a table is available.

I was here for the first time on Sunday October 13th, 2024 and would like to share some impressions and impulses with the readers. Above all, I would like to focus on the service, which was almost divine. I have never experienced so much friendliness and affection despite adverse circumstances. But first things first. We arrived at the almost fully booked restaurant on Sunday around 7 p.m. and the host told us straight away that it would take a long time to eat today. We agreed with the situation because the restaurant seemed “quaint” and “real”. But first let's get to the pure facts that will serve future visitors: FOOD AND SERVICE 1. Drinks took 20 minutes to serve 2. The food took 60 minutes to serve 3. The food was very good and completely different than usual TO THE AMBIENCE Yes, some of the wallpaper on the ceiling was peeling off and the decoration is past its prime, but that's exactly what it's all about. I felt transported back to my childhood, where as a 6 year old I was sitting on my grandma's farm in Galicia and enjoying the rough and honest country life of my grandparents. In such a fast-moving time, in which things often go faster, higher, further, I found this restaurant to be a place where tradition meets simplicity and where authenticity is at home. The only thing that should definitely be modernized is the toilets, because that's possible and necessary. REMARKABLE There was even a small foreign body in my son's food, which I found to be humane and for which the host apologized several times and lowered our bill for it. The bottom line is that I would certainly have had the right to reduce one or two stars in my review, but I would like to let the positive impressions prevail in my conscientious evaluation, because the young team on site deserved it by far. CONCLUSION I recommend trying this place and I am sure that it is worth an experience to taste this traditional cuisine. At times I felt as if I were in Asia and not at all in European latitudes. It is precisely this fact that I find remarkable. VERDICT My overall verdict: all thumbs up. Keep it up with some improvements.

And the dishes were also cold. the rice we received was near spoiled and when asked she just said they were scooped from the bottom of the pot. The best Chinese food I've ever eaten. I really enjoy going here regularly or picking up food.

Been here for lunch. The waiter was extremely nice and kind, apologizing for a bit of wait. Food was - according to my Asian wife - “authentic Chinese”, and portions were more than filling. Most of all: prices were astonishingly cheap! It's almost as if inflation hasn't knocked at their door yet. Definitely coming back, can only recommend this place!

We have eaten hot pot at other restaurants a few times before. These were also good, but we liked it here in the Chinese Restaurant the best so far. One reason for this is that the Dutch oven is eaten as a buffet. This means you can decide for yourself how much of each ingredient you eat. You can also get all you can drink (soft drinks) for €2 per person. The service is nice and attentive. In total we cooked on the Dutch oven for over 2 hours and would love to come back.

Very nice service but the whole restaurant is completely run down. From the look of the cracked ceiling with water damage, the totally dirty seat cushions and the broken furniture, a renovation would have been overdue 10 years ago.... There were no towels in the toilet... The food was ok, but a bit too greasy for me personally... Very large portions... I won't go there again

Really delicious authentic chinese food. They also offer meals that you dont get anywhere else. Sometimes you have to preorder dishes a day or two before your visit, but that kind of food is just the real thing! Its worth it.

I had dinner there with my husband and son. Sunday lunchtime. There wasn't much going on. We were served quickly and the food came to the table quite quickly. I haven't eaten so cheaply and so well in a long time. Large, tasty portions and at a really reasonable price. The restaurant itself is a bit old. Maybe also flood damage?! If I were in Saarbrücken again and near there, I would eat there again!

The food only came after about an hour without any instructions. Had to remind them several times that it was taking far too long. The noodles with beef came without a sauce, and the fish dish was also quite dry. A repeat visit is cancelled!

Ambience is getting old. Food was significantly different (more original, e.g. chicken feet, pork feet, pork belly, etc.) than the run-of-the-mill Chinese, and was tasty and inexpensive. Nice service. Asians also eat here, which is usually a good sign. So feel free to test it yourself.

The BEST Chinese restaurant I have ever eaten at. For years I went almost daily. I returned, after five years, and the owner recognized me. Absolutely EVERYTHING is delicious. The value for money is fantastic and the entire menu is worth trying. You have to go.

The city's first Chinese restaurant was probably located in these rooms in the 1980s. I must have been there for the first time in 1982. Later I rarely went to this part of Saarbrücken. The owner has changed at least once in the meantime and thanks to Google I became aware again, read the menu, grabbed my daughter and set off. First of all: the furnishings appear to be original from Anno Tobak. This may bother some people, but for me it brought back childhood memories. The young gentleman who greeted us was very attentive and friendly. Since we wanted to take the food with us, he immediately pointed out that it would take around an hour and asked if that was okay with us. Yes. The wait was worth it. If you want to try dishes that stand out from the usual standard food pagodas, this is the place for you. There are things on the menu here that I rarely or never see otherwise. It is advisable to order one day in advance. Some things, like the original Peking duck, are only available by pre-order anyway. Next time we will make a reservation for several people and try a Chinese fondue. And I'm tempted by the braised chicken feet. So if you want to eat something special, this is the right place for you.

I came here twice and was told that they only have hot pot and other stir-fry dishes. They tell you directly that they don't want to cook it, so you can wait for at least an hour... I really won't go there again, it's a silly waste of time, and I don't recommend it if you want to eat stir-fry dishes because there is no...
