Pausekebab in Saarbrücken

I've been to Pause Kebap on Breslauerstraße several times now, and unfortunately, I've had similar experiences every time. The service is incredibly unfriendly – ​​you walk in, get stared at like you're from another planet, and they immediately roll their eyes. As a customer, you feel anything but welcome. Today I tried again: We arrived around 6 pm, but even though the place was still open, practically everything had already been cleared away. There was just one frozen kebab skewer left. The server saw us come in but simply sat down and played on her phone without acknowledging or speaking to us. I've rarely experienced anything like this. It's a shame, because first impressions and atmosphere are crucial for a restaurant – and here, you definitely don't feel valued as a customer.

I was at the restaurant yesterday and ordered a kebab. Unfortunately, the meat wasn't fresh; it was just reheated, and it wasn't cheap at all. I find that kind of thing neither respectful to the customers nor hygienic. I also had the impression that they're skimping on the meat. It feels like the guests are eating for free. Very disappointing.

The meat here is old and not freshly cut from the spit. Instead, old meat is reheated – this is unhygienic and very dangerous. Such meat must be thrown away, not sold to customers the next day. Many people already know about these tricks, and I myself ate today and couldn't even finish half of it because I immediately felt sick and my stomach hurt. This is absolutely unhealthy and can lead to poisoning. I will definitely never come here again and cannot recommend anyone to eat at this restaurant.

Lamb platter for €13 tasted absolutely disgusting. The meat was so tough and sometimes hard that it had to be thrown away completely!

The taste wasn't great, and it was too expensive. There's a much better and cheaper shop nearby, toward Scheidt. I won't be buying food there again.

I've never seen salespeople in such a bad mood at work. Indifferent, moody, and unfriendly. Not to mention, I got stomach cramps, nausea, and diarrhea shortly after eating it.

Ordered a mixed plate for €13 I don't know of any place where you order a plate and then get charged extra for the bread! The taste was okay! The service was absolutely rubbish! Unfriendly! And the size for €13 is absolutely terrible!

The staff was unfriendly and inflexible. Value for money... not for those on a budget, and not for those with a BIG appetite for something delicious... I won't be wasting my money on this "place" again!

Unfortunately, the staff was very unfriendly. The menu depicted lahmacun/Turkish pizza with a lemon. After ordering, the waitress said it was rolled up and filled with lettuce. I then asked if I could have the lahmacun without lettuce, as shown in the photo. Reluctantly, I was served it with the words, "This isn't a Turkish restaurant." The bulgur was also completely dry and completely inedible. The service and food were unfortunately not good at all, and for such high prices...

On December 20, 2024, we (2 adults + 1 child) visited this snack bar. The service staff were very quick to serve us, but visibly annoyed. Some of the food was unavailable, which wasn't clear on the menu. (The cheeseburger menu wasn't available because the grill was off - according to the staff member.) However, the food was prepared relatively quickly. Unfortunately, my partner found some mold in her Sprite bottle (which isn't the seller's fault), and after complaining, she was told to drink it or throw it away; it wasn't their fault. The fault, of course, doesn't lie with the seller, but the situation could have been handled differently, since we also paid for the drink. Overall, we didn't feel very comfortable during our visit, as we were made to feel unwelcome. We won't be returning.

You have to be Turkish, then maybe the staff will smile at you? 🤔 kabeb OK, but a lot of salad and not much meat. (See picture)

I first rate my kebab plate, which was completely ok. However, for the price it seemed unspectacular to me. What absolutely didn't work was the service. A lady served me at the table and from the first second she was unfriendly. My drink was forgotten, the specially ordered sauce over the fries was forgotten and the cutlery with the meal was forgotten. After a nice hint from me, I was acknowledged with the words “Yeah, yeah” and not a glance. I hadn't sat at the table for a minute before she wanted to take my order. Since it was my first time there, the selection understandably took a little longer. I had to ask several things and the lady got annoyed. There's not much to say about the ambience, it's in a shopping center with a lot of customer traffic. What question do I always ask myself?! Will I visit restaurants again? Unfortunately I have to deny that here.

There are no small kebabs just the smallest big ones I've ever seen! Very expensive and zero taste! Also unfriendly service!

Döner war okay, fiel zwar auseinander aber guter Geschmack. Getränkepreise sind frech von 2,75€. Vio auf der Karte angeboten und Sprudel von Kaufland Serviert. Die Krönung war, dass wir beim Bezahlen den Pfand in Rechnung gestellt bekommen haben obwohl wir vor Ort gegessen haben.

Hollandadan geliyoruz, her şey çok güzeldi sıcak ortamı ve yemekleri harikaydı. Güzel hizmet için teşekkür ederiz.

Kebap ve döner konusunda gayet başarılı. Porsiyonlar yeterliydi. 😊

Der Service war leider sehr enttäuschend - unfreundlich und arrogant. Der Döner entsprach nicht meinen Erwartungen, besonders angesichts des Preises von 11€ für Döner, Pommes und ein Getränk. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis finde ich nicht angemessen. Fazit: Nicht weiterzuempfehlen

Bedienung sehr freundlich. Hatte Kebabteller bestellt. Leider ist da kein Brot dabei(kostet extra). Geschmack war OK.

Présentation et service au top. Le personnel est toujours souriant et accueillant. Le gout du kebab avec la sauce yoghourt est excellente, je m'en lasse jamais. Franchement pour le prix et la qualité je recommande fortement ce restaurant !

Geht klar wenn man nach dem Einkauf sehr hungrig ist. Fleisch wird aus dem Warmhaltebecken genommen. Echt nur Okay der Döner. Der Hunger treibt es rein. Wer einen guten Döner möchte fährt lieber wo anders hin
