The restaurant is very cozy. The service was quick and friendly. It wasn't very busy when we visited, but I think that was due to the time of day. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the food. I ordered lasagna, which tasted okay, but the portion for almost €18 was very small. What was much worse, though, was that the lasagna was cold in some places, and the cheese on top wasn't crispy but soggy. So the lasagna wasn't really fresh; it arrived at my table reheated, probably from the microwave. I understand that they want to save time, but for a lasagna that costs almost €18, I expect it to be hot and fresh from the oven, even if it means waiting 20 minutes. It was absolutely overpriced and not really worth the price in terms of taste. However, since I was otherwise satisfied, I would come back to try another dish.

Ever since my apprenticeship, this has been one of my favorite restaurants in Saarbrücken. The breakfast buffet is huge, everything is fresh and delicious, and the à la carte menu is just as good. The former "Alex" is stylish yet very cozy. The service is friendly and attentive, even though the place is usually packed. I love coming here.

Good ideas, but room for improvement I ate at the brasserie in Saarbrücken, and my first impression was really positive: The food looked appealing, everything was nicely presented, and the portions were generous. The fries, in particular, were really good – fresh, crispy, and delicious. For the price, you'd expect that. I was a bit ambivalent about the burger: It was okay, but unfortunately nothing special. The taste was solid, but it lacked that certain something that sets it apart from other burgers. In addition, the food was a bit too cold, which noticeably detracted from the overall impression. The service was friendly, but unfortunately, we had to wait quite a while before being served. A brief apology or an explanation of how busy they were would have made a big difference and significantly improved the overall experience. Overall: A nice place with potential, good food with highlights (especially the fries), but there's still room for improvement regarding the food temperature and waiting times. I would go again – but with the hope that these points will be a better fit next time.

I simply love this restaurant. I love going here; it's my oasis of enjoyment and relaxation. It has the flair of a French restaurant just as you'd imagine one in Paris.

They could consider perhaps including a coffee. Otherwise it was fantastically perfect, had a lot of fun. The toilets were also very clean. They also had oat milk. You can also make your own fresh waffles.

The food and service are good. The location is at the back of St. Johanner Markt. Nice before, during, or after a stroll :) Unfortunately, it faces a busy street, but that's not a problem inside and only moderately so outside.

Hello, on August 22, 2025, I wanted to use the restroom at this restaurant in the morning after a doctor's appointment. However, I was denied entry because I wasn't a guest, and the restaurant couldn't let me use the restroom. I wonder what kind of world we live in that such things are forbidden. Owners of these restaurants should think about this. Do you also say no to children and the elderly? It's a complete impertinence. I will avoid this restaurant in the future. (I would give it 0 stars, but I can't post it without them.)

It's actually quite nice to sit here on Bahnhofstrasse. The service is very friendly and prompt, but that's about it, unfortunately. I had the daily special of meatballs with mashed potatoes and beans, and it was a disaster. The meatballs were definitely frozen and had been prepared in a deep fryer. The beans were cooked to perfection but were very firm, and the mashed potatoes weren't fresh either... probably instant powder. The food definitely gets 0 stars. When I went to the bathroom, I had to walk past the kitchen, which was unpleasant, but then the smell of the deep fryer in the toilet was the last straw. Bottom line: never again!

Great, that was yesterday. Today, July 28, 2025, was an absolute disaster. The waitress ignored us, so we left after 20 minutes.

The price-quality ratio is very fair, there is a sufficient selection of beer, and the location is perfect.

Went there on Sunday for my friend's birthday. Great food, everything you need and more. I loved the ginger shots. Great value for money 👍. The service was soooo friendly, even shaking everyone's hand as we left and thanking us for being there. The birthday girl got a free drink with a sparkler. The staff were cheerful and helpful. Here, the chef personally attends to guests' needs and requests. We were even asked to try and rate new creations. For me, this is a restaurant with service comparable to that of a Michelin-starred restaurant! The dishes are varied and freshly prepared. As a tourist, I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Saarbrücken! ✌🏻

We had a great lunch at the Brasserie Saarbrücken. The staff was very friendly, even bringing our dog a drink and later a treat. The service was very fast. The waitress's recommendations were also very good, and everything we ordered was delicious. The brasserie's new brunch menu is fantastic. A huge selection: everything from fruit to cold cuts and cheese, a waffle station, fresh bread and rolls, and much more. The atmosphere is fantastic, the service is friendly and attentive; dogs are even allowed and well-looked after. When the weather's nice, you can also sit outside. Definitely recommended; we'll definitely be back.

The Sunday brunch (9 a.m. - 2 p.m.) was my first time. But what was offered for €21 (rounded up) was sensational. A large selection of freshly prepared dishes for breakfast and lunch, including hot and cold options. Added to that are the very attentive and friendly staff. Praise for the food and service. A small group of us were there yesterday to try the cocktails during happy hour. We've done it before and everything was fine then. But yesterday was a disaster!! The first time that people in our group left their cocktails because they weren't just bad, they were downright undrinkable!!! None of our cocktails tasted like they were supposed to... obviously made by a bartender who didn't know a thing! Every cocktail was in the same glass with the same decoration... and a whole handful of mint was put in each glass, which totally distorted the taste. Even the Pina Colada tasted of peppermint, but they left out the cream. In short, either they need to change their bar staff or we need to change the restaurant!

Hallo, also wir sind Stammgast in der Brasserie in Saarbrücken Bahnhofstrasse ,für uns ist es super wenn wir Sonntags brunchen gehen , wir haben schon öfter Mal angesprochen das man Mal die Wurst Sorten ändern könnte weil es leider immer das selbe ist und wenn man oft sonntags hingeht wird es einfach mal langweilig , aber das schlimmere übel ist ,das ab heute die Tische umgestellt wurden sehr unpraktisch umgestellt und für stammgäste die ihren Platz reserviert haben ,sich umsätzen müssen ,finden wir auch sehr schlimm ,also für uns ist das leider ein Grund nicht mehr hinzugehen , Fazit lieber Mal an Deko, Umstellung dee essen denken statt das Buffet an einen anderen Platz zu stellen . Verstehe diese arbeitsweise leider nicht. Aber danke für die gute Zeit vorher.

You can linger in the brasserie and lose track of time. A lovely ambiance and a very relaxed atmosphere. The penne with merguez was an absolute treat. A slight spiciness, the tomatoes, and the splash of red wine rounded it all off, along with a wonderfully flavorful merguez made from lamb and beef. The side salad was also delicious; if they had offered other varieties, I would have paid more. The second dish with merguez and couscous was also a feast for the palate. Everything was perfect, and the price/performance ratio was absolutely reasonable. The staff gave us a warm welcome at the door, and the friendly service continued right through to the end. The brasserie is definitely highly recommended. The food is great, with a wide variety to suit all tastes! The homemade burgers, which also come with a portion of fries, are highly recommended. The dishes are definitely enough to fill you up, and if you want there is also a dessert from the fairly large selection there. There is also an almost endless selection of drinks, hot and cold drinks, with and without alcohol, coffee, tea, soft drinks, lemonades and so on, there is hardly a drink that you can't get here (the cappuccino is incredibly tasty!) In terms of price, the brasserie is definitely okay, so this restaurant is recommended!

I find the shop pretty unloving, the food looked like it had just been "slapped" onto the plate, it took a while for the service to come and when we wanted to have the leftovers packed up the waiter told us that there were no containers and that he could wrap the food in aluminum foil for us because it wasn't "to go" after all... We took it with humor but wouldn't come back!

A lovely place to spend a few hours enjoying lunch and coffee. Their menu is a beautiful book showing the dishes, and the dish comes out of the kitchen looking like the picture. There was seating outdoors when I was last here in the summer.

I really enjoy being here, especially early in the morning. When it comes to friendliness, the staff is almost unrivaled here in Saarbrücken. And it doesn't work, it doesn't exist. All in all: my recommendation in Saarbrücken.
