Simply awesome. Very friendly staff, top gastronomy, have been there several times and have always been very satisfied and everything was delicious. In the summer we were on the terrace but also inside there was a very cozy atmosphere.

A rather high-priced restaurant. However, the ambience is right and the old German restaurant absolutely fits the surroundings. It's worth a visit with the necessary change included. The food was served quickly and hot!

Rarely have I had such a bad experience. I am a trained hotel manager and this is the first bad review I have written so far. vegetarian salad is a joke. Tiny pile of lettuce in the middle with ready-made spring rolls, falafel and vegetable pieces from the freezer and fruit. From time to time everything didn't go together in terms of taste. Spring rolls with sweet and sour sauce and falafel?!? Service didn't come once or ask if we would like something else to drink even though the glasses were already empty when the food came, which took half an hour. After eating we ordered drinks again, we had to call the service person, she didn't come to us once. 20 minutes later the drinks still weren't there. When I canceled the drinks and asked for the bill, the only answer I got was “yes, ok”. Nobody came to cash in for the next 15 minutes. We had to go back in to pay. We weren't asked if everything was okay, otherwise I would have criticized it personally. There were only 2 service employees there for all the guests, including the counter and everything All about it. Just a shame. If you only have 2 employees because of illness or whatever, you don't accept as many guests that you can't take care of. I also saw many other guests who unfortunately weren't served...

The location and ambience of the restaurant are good, but unfortunately the food was not convincing. The schnitzel we ordered arrived after less than 5 minutes - not a good sign. It tasted accordingly. The breading was very intensely seasoned and was obviously prepared or purchased in advance. The plate was carelessly designed, apart from two schnitzels, fries and a tomato there was nothing there, even a slice of lemon was missing. The quantity was good, but if that's more important than the quality, you'll get your money's worth. However, anyone who expects original Bavarian pub quality will be disappointed.

It was our first time in Balingen and we discovered Paulaner's while looking for a fine meal. We really enjoyed the cuisine and the service with the great, homely atmosphere. It was also nice that locals still work in the service, even if the dialect (Swabian?) wasn't always easy for us to understand. :-) Everything was perfect and well maintained. “Clean”! . . . If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back here. P.S: We only publish 4 or 5 star reviews. If we are not satisfied, we will seek clarification on site. - If this doesn't "work" then we allow ourselves to make this dissatisfaction public and hope for improvement.

Giant schnitzel is always good. Everything else too, except for a few very unusual dishes.

Ate here today on a recommendation in a really nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, we received a rather unfriendly welcome and the price/performance ratio of the food was more than poor. Paid just under €22.50 for two small baked schnitzels with croquettes and salad. Everything was very salty overall - and the sauce wasn't a highlight either, apart from the appearance. All in all, it doesn't do justice to a “Paulaner tavern”. Then it's better to go to a real beer garden or a good home-style restaurant. It's definitely a nice spot with a good location to have a beer. But we won't eat here anymore. It's a shame ☹️. We passed on the criticism to the restaurant. It remains to be seen whether anything changes...

Very unfriendly boss, sauce for the schnitzel was like liquid plaster and didn't taste like anything at all. The Aperol was well. Will not visit this restaurant again.

We had a very good meal here yesterday. The mixed grill plate was great. Especially with the spicy sauce. The service was very friendly and very relaxed. And the atmosphere outside was great.

We were here on a Friday evening. The food we ordered was hot and delicious. The service is good, we would love to come back.

The restaurant is quite nice. The service was OK in terms of friendliness but far too slow. We waited 20 minutes to order, and the food took about 1:15 minutes to arrive (it was far from full, more like half full). We also waited another 20 minutes for the bill. The burger is said to have been quite good (accompaniment) my crusted roast, however, was a 6. Tough and the crust was not a crust but flaky fat.

Always a creative menu, always a delicious highlight. And just as down to earth. The "Paulis" master the challenge of indoor and outdoor catering with a limited staff situation and manage to always remain relaxed and humorous. Cheers! Recommendation: Enjoy a deer kiss after your meal.

I was actually looking forward to the Paulaner inn in Balingen. The ambience, typical Bavarian inn. Lots of space, too much choice on the menu, it can't all be fresh all the time. My husband chose Wiener Schnitzel with fries. The fries were very good. A huge portion but not a single leaf of lettuce on the square subscription plate. For 26 euros, that's an amazing price. I decided on the Zollern Bauernschmaus. Three meat medallions, baked with cheese, they actually tasted quite good. But the vegetable cream spaetzle tasted exactly as it looked, bland and without any taste. The sauce lay like a granite stone on the plate. I was very disappointed. It will probably be quite a long time before we go to this place again

Great place for a family meal! Large portions and great taste. Friendly and fast service. Would definitely return in our next trip to Germany!

Schönes Ambiente für eine Wirtshaus. Die Gerichte waren sehr übersichtlich, aber geschmacklich in Ordnung. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis definitiv zu hoch! Das Hofbräuschnitzel (2 kleine Rückensteaks überbacken mit Käse) und ein paar Mini-Kroketten auf dem Teller waren nicht gerade sättigend aber die Euro 19,50 dafür üppig! Der Krustenbraten war sehr lecker, allerdings auch hier eine Mini-Schale mit Krautsalat. Erste Halbe, schnell erhalte, aber relativ warm, zweite Halbe hatte ich eine Wartezeit von ca. 15 Minuten, bei der Nachfrage, ob das Bier vergessen wurde, kam von der Servicekraft eine blöde Antwort und weitere 5 Minuten Wartezeit. Also freundlicher Service sieht anders aus.

Wir waren heute mit 5 Personen zum essen. Das Essen war gut nur leider ließ der Service zu wünschen übrig. Die Speisekarte ist nicht Alergie gekennzeichnet. Leider bekam ich keine freundliche Auskunft , da ich glutenfrei essen muss.(Wäre mir anderst auch lieber) Na ja das pasiert mir nur ein mal gibt ja noch andere Lokale

Hatte das Riesenschnitzel mit Pommes: Die Pommes war sehr lecker, nicht fad aber auch nicht überwürzt. Die Panade vom Schnitzel dürfte für meinen Geschmack noch knuspriger sein aber ansonsten eine Lokalität mit ansprechenden Speisen und Getränken auf der Karte, es gibt auch Spareribs und Burger.

Essen war super Größe sehr ausreichend Selbst mein Amigo der Bodybuilder ist war full Empfehlung!

Sehr gutes Restaurant mit einer Klasse Auswahl an deutschen Gerichte bei ansprechendem und tollem Ambiente. Der Service ist nett und sehr gut. Die Preise sind für die Qualität absolut Fair! Im Sommer bei guten Wetter ist die Terrasse richtig schön und man könnte meinen in einem richtigen Biergarten zu sitzen. Schade das es heutzutage nur noch wenige solcher Restaurants gibt. Gerne immer wieder und wer nach guter deutscher Küche sucht der findet hier ein erstklassiges Restaurant.

Classico locale in stile bavarese, per chi non vuole rinunciare ad un tuffo ottobrino anche qui alle porte della foresta nera. I piatti rispettano la tradizione di Balingen e del Baden Wuttenberg. Ottime birre e piatti deliziosi

Tolles Essen preis stimmt auch. Schon ei gerichtet .Bedienung sehr freundlich. Da gehen wir wieder hin.Kann man nur weiter empfehlen.

Je nach Gericht sind die Portionen (vor allem Beilagen wie Kroketten) für ein Wirtshaus eher untypisch klein gehalten, dafür aber relativ teuer. Geschmeckt hat es trotzdem gut! Der Teller war überseht mit Fettspritzern und das IKEA-Glas voll Cola zwar schön groß, aber total milchig und zerkratzt. Sowohl der Innen- als auch Außenbereich bieten ein typisches Ambiente. Der Service war in Ordnung, wirkten z.T. aber etwas überfordert.

Wir waren am 08.09.2023 im Restaurant Paulaners und hatten Anfangs keinen Platz auf der Terrasse bekommen, aber kurz darauf wurde dann doch noch ein Tisch frei. Das Angebot war groß und auch ich als vegan lebender Mann, fand etwas auf der Speisekarte, was auch als vegan vermerkt war. Top. 👍 Der Service war auch freundlich und es schmeckte alles gut bürgerlich (war uns jedoch etwas zu stark gewürzt). Leider gab es davor keinen "Gruß aus der Küche" und die Preise könnten auch etwas günstiger sein, aber trotzdem war soweit alles gut.

Liegt mitten im Städtchen, sehr schön. Essen sehr gut. Service könnte etwas aufmerksamer sein, aber sind sehr freundlich.

Leider fast eine Stunde Wartezeit bis das Essen kam. Wir mussten die Bedienung darauf hinweisen, dass wir nach 20 Minuten endlich was zu essen bestellen wollen. Das Schwabenpfännle für 15€ eine Maultaschen, 1/4 Stück vom Fleischkäse und die „Kässpätzle“ (einfach Spätzle mit Käsesoße) für 15,50€ leider sehr schwach. Auf die lange Wartezeit und das Essen angesprochen, wurde leider sehr pampig reagiert. Wir waren das letzte mal dort!

Netter Platz zum Essen und Trinken. Guter Riesenburger mit Pommes. Schmeckte gut und war reichlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Vollkommen überwürztes/versalzenes Essen, das von einer mürrischen Bedienung gebracht wurde. Der Bitte, den Sonnenschirm zu öffnen, wurde mit der Antwort, da muss ich erst fragen, die Grundlage zunächst entzogen. Wir bekamen allerdings nie eine Antwort - und keinen Schatten. Paulaner werden wir künftig meiden.

Heute mittag im Paulaner verweilt. Essen und Service sind gut. 👌😉

We had a very long wait for food. When it came the Schnitzel was very greasy and quite unpleasant. In a nice spot but can't honestly recommend anything else.

Leckeres Essen, die käserahmspätzle waren leider etwas zu sahnig allerdings haben sie trotzdem gemundet. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und das Ambiente ist gemütlich. Der Zwiebelrostbraten war vorzüglich, das Fleisch war zart, Soße lecker und die Zwiebeln waren reichlich vorhanden.

3 Personen hatten Schnitzel, Oberseite ok, Unterseite total schwarz. Verhältnismäßig teuer.

Das Essen war gut und preisgerecht. Ein Gericht wurde mit einem viel zu kleinen Kantinenteller angeboten (NoGo). Ansonsten Service Ambiente im Biergarten ok.

Alles in Allem ganz okay. Leider ist die Karte sehr überschaubar für Vegetarier. Es gibt eine tolle Tageskarte mit veganen und vegetarischen Gerichten die es aber natürlich nur mittags gibt🙁 han trotzdem noch was auf der Gartenschau Spezial Karte gefunden. Service war okay, allerdings ist mein Teller nicht abgeräumt worden bis wir gezahlt haben. Personal kam auch ewig nicht zum Bezahlen... musste rein gehen und sagen dass wir zahlen wollen obwohl es so voll gegen 21.30 Uhr nicht mehr war. Stühle im Biergarten sind echt unbequem. Toiletten ohne Klopapier und ziemlich schmutzig. Essen war aber lecker und kam auch relativ schnell. Daher 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Gutes Essen, die Bedienung war nicht ganz so freundlich, die Limonade die ich bestellt habe war sehr klein, da könnte man ohne große Mehrkosten auch ein größeres Glas ausgeben.
