A lovely restaurant, for example, for a family break. Beautifully decorated, friendly service, a relaxed atmosphere, and truly delicious traditional dishes (homemade beef roulade +++). A lovely location in the countryside (out back) with a large playground nearby and an ideal destination for bike rides. The only downside is the restrooms. Both the appearance and the smell could be improved, in my opinion.

The food was wonderful! The service was very friendly, and everything went very quickly despite the busy times. We'll be back!

We received friendly service, but I had to send my steak back twice because it was completely raw inside. In these two attempts, they still didn't manage to get the meat to the desired "medium"; it seemed like it had just been placed somewhere to warm up, as the herb butter had completely melted, but the meat was still raw and getting drier. During the long wait, my companion was able to finish her meal. They still charged the full price, without any concessions. Absolutely disappointing.

First visit was very positive! Friendly staff, fast service, good cuisine and fair prices. First of all, a bread basket with herb butter. Simple and good. The main course was Jägerschnitzel and Prinzregenten platter. The latter was incredibly good despite the steak being cooked through, which was incredibly tender. The schnitzel is also impressive. For dessert there was Kaiserschmarrn with vanilla sauce and plum jam. Mega! Including drinks, €78 was due. Totally fine. We'll be happy to come back, that's for sure😉

Very friendly staff, helpful and pet friendly. There were six of us and we didn't have to wait long for the food. Delicious, typically Bavarian selection. However, the vegan (vegetarian) selection could be a little larger.

First of all, we are not regular guests, but were invited to eat here during a visit. The first thing you notice is the top location. Directly on the Weser and the Osterdeich. Then came the question of parking. Nobody was free and we had to wait until someone became free. Later it became clear that there were not enough parking spaces for such a large house. I would like to add later that there is a large parking garage with a parking deck nearby, as I was told. The ambience of the restaurant is excellent. Different room sections loosen up the atmosphere. The staff is attentive, friendly and approachable. Now the most important thing, the food tasted great. The price, well, everything is more expensive, but the quality and quantity were great. So, we'll be back.

Have eaten here several times and been largely satisfied. Since I often travel to southern Germany, I can only say: Bavarian cuisine looks different! Now we ordered schnitzel and Oktoberfest plates. Service very good and friendly. Food, however, was disappointing. Especially the plate of roasts and dumplings. Meat hard-crusted on the outside, otherwise sheer fat! Sauce bland and strange consistency. The two small dumplings were probably made of potato flour, were undercooked, unsalted and lukewarm. The waitress just shrugged his shoulders… Unfortunately it had the character of mass processing.

The ambience was nice, the staff was very nice, but the food wasn't that great. Undercooked fried potatoes in 2 dishes, and the waiter's promise to serve us newcomers was not kept.

The service, the food and the prices were all ok, which is a shame. Update: Screens were thankfully off. Kösespätzle with very cheap cheese and fried onions from the big bucket. Knipp super dry and fried potatoes rather tasteless. Overall the food is really disappointing and not worth the money. Drinking a beer outside in the summer is ok, but going out to eat is definitely not worth it. The lamps on the table give off a cold, pale light, so it's better to turn them off.

I was given exactly such an evening at the Paulaners in the fortified castle. What makes this restaurant so special is the team behind it all. From the counter and service staff, who not only serve drinks and food, but also a smile, with their impressive attentiveness and friendliness, with their charming, professional manner. The entire security team, whether at the door or in the guest room - by the way, in my opinion, is often an underestimated part of a successful evening - also deserves special praise. With their friendly, relaxed and respectful manner, they ensure that you feel safe and in good hands from the first second. In a time when hospitality sometimes becomes a mere empty phrase, this team proves that things can be done differently. It is the mixture of passion, heart and professionalism that makes the difference and makes the evening an experience. A big thank you to this great team - you not only brightened my evening, but showed how gastronomy is lived. I'd love to come back!

The three of us ate there on a Sunday and ordered various dishes. One vegetarian schnitzel, one liver loaf and one salad. All three dishes were presented very carelessly. The fried potatoes were cold and greasy. Leberkäs dry and old. Salad with a greasy, not tasty dressing on top. Overall, we received the food undignified. The imperial swarm as compensation for our complaint was beyond sweet. Overall, the quality of the kitchen there has deteriorated significantly. A chain kervice that doesn't pay attention to quality and aesthetics. The service staff try hard to compensate for the poor quality. While we were eating, guests at the tables next to us also left some dishes behind. We wouldn't dine there again if only coffee and cake and only when we were there and nothing more.

The taste of the food was good, but the portions were far too small for us. Price performance ratio is not right here. We had venison goulash with Brussels sprouts and then Franzi's roasting pan with mini dumplings and the knuckle meat was “old” and both were lukewarm on cold plates. The kitchen definitely needs to be improved here. We complained about the small portions when we were there, but next time we ordered side dishes.

Es war alles perfekt ! Wir hatten den Mittagstisch ( Fischpfanne und Krustenbraten vom Schwein mit Sauerkraut und Klößen). Dazu ein dunkles Bier vom Faß. Alles schmeckte sehr sehr gut. Der Rote Hengst (Kräuterschnaps) ebenfalls. Die junge Frau im Service war so hübsch im Dirndl und sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Auch das andere Servicepersonal, das uns servierte, war freundlich und kompetent Der Service so gut strukturiert, alles lief wie am Schnürchen. Das Ambiente ist wie immer angenehm im Wehrschloss, man hat genug Raum zum Atmen… wir bedanken uns beim gesamten Team!

Hello, We were very disappointed with the portions and the behavior of the staff. The explanation was environmental protection because so much is thrown away...I'm laughing my head off! Did I order a children's portion or something for adults? I'm hungry and I leave the house hungry! When asked why glasses aren't only half filled... because of environmental protection and waste, because many people don't drink up or let them go back, nothing came up... we'll definitely never come back!!!

We were invited to a private celebration. We sometimes had to wait half an hour for drinks and that was only because we asked again. The food was ok, but not outstanding. Otherwise the beer was delicious and the celebration was good too.

We went for a walk at the Weserwehr at the weekend and then wanted to get something to drink in the outdoor area of ​​the Paulaner. But when it came to prices, we quickly changed our minds. A 0.3l Vitamalz for 4.50€??? A 0.3l Cola, Fanta, Sprite 4.20€??? A 0.5l Paulaner Spezi for 5.60€??? But otherwise you're fine, right?! Location ok, prices completely out of the universe! Not with us!

Unfortunately, some of the beer tent sets are very narrow, so that the benches bump into each other. In addition to drinks, we also ordered the currywurst that was offered. Unfortunately, it was hardly fried at all and was barely lukewarm. We complained about this currywurst and asked for a new one. The second currywurst came after about half an hour and was hardly better than the first. The fries were OK.

Furchtbar und nie wieder. Ein Essen (Tafelspitz) war komplett ungenießbar und enthielt nicht alle auf der Karte angebenen Zutaten und hat zudem nach Brühwürfel geschmeckt, und das nicht zu knapp. Größe eher Vorspeise. Haben sie wohl inzwischen von der Karte genommen. Beschwerde meinerseits prallte komplett ab. Frechheit! Das Essen meines Mannes (Rinderroulade) war leider auch nicht zum satt werden. Wir haben uns dann noch woanders was vernünftiges geholt und werden hier nie wieder einkehren. Man kann draußen sicherlich ganz nett ein Bier trinken, aber auch das werden wir nicht mehr machen nach der Erfahrung.

The food was good. Quite tasty and not what you would get at the next best place so interesting and new. Service felt rushed but otherwise friendly. Just a mixup on the order once. The beer garden is dirty as hell and the prices are royal, €6.50 for a Weizen is the highest level in Bremen. When you think you don't need it anymore.....been here twice, the first and last time.

The website said the beer garden was closed, so I tried calling to see if we could still sit outside. After 5 unsuccessful calls and 2 unanswered emails (the one listed on the website seemed to be wrong) we went there at random. I learned from the receptionist that you couldn't answer the phone and that you only checked emails irregularly. There are not enough staff for that. Therefore we should have used the booking form on the website to make the reservation. However, that wouldn't have answered my question. We still got the last available outdoor table. It's like sitting in a Bavarian beer garden, under chestnuts and lime trees, with a view of the Weser. This is really recommended. Three of us ordered sausage salad, once as a starter and twice as a main course. When the main course came, we were surprised why it was as small as the starter. The only difference was two half slices of bread instead of half. And 7 EUR price difference. Of course we asked the waiter, who immediately apologized and promptly brought us the same portion again. This resulted in a normal amount, but still not a huge amount. By the way, what was billed at the end was not two large sausage salads for a total of EUR 31.80, but four small ones for EUR 35.60. So it happened that we paid a total of EUR 50.60 for two salads and three beers. Since I only noticed this when I got home, all I could do was get annoyed. The tavern salad that a friend had ordered was quite expensive at EUR 16 because it mainly consisted of leaf lettuce. She had ordered fried mushrooms with it. That was a handful and cost another 4 EUR on top. Finally, our friends treated themselves to a Kaiserschmarrn for EUR 7.20. If they had ordered compote with it, another EUR 1.50 would have been added. Our food was OK, but not outstanding. You go there more for the atmosphere, and it's pleasant outside in good weather.
