Very nicely located restaurant on the Weserwehr with a large beer garden. You can feel good here!

My review today is for the self-service outdoor patio. The view of the Weser is beautiful, as is the green surroundings, and several parasols provide enough shade. Unfortunately, some of the beer tent sets are very narrow, so that the benches bump into each other. In addition to drinks, we also ordered the currywurst that was offered. Unfortunately, it was hardly fried at all and was barely lukewarm. We complained about this currywurst and asked for a new one. The second currywurst came after about half an hour and was hardly better than the first. The fries were OK.

Always nice there! The ladies in service are really worth their weight in gold👍🏽! Always in a good mood and a smile on your lips 👍🏽!!! The food is of very good quality! The meat was exactly right.... Unfortunately the quantity wasn't that good, but I think that has more to do with the fixed costs..... then I'd rather have a little less, but good quality!!!! All in all, another lovely afternoon! You can't describe it, you just have to experience it. Everything just fits together here, this concept in the catering industry is simply sensational and is implemented brilliantly. Of course the location is still on top. If you like a Bavarian beer garden feeling, including the same culinary kick, you will find it here in all its variations. I think I can claim to be able to recognize/taste convenience, which I absolutely don't want to assume here and couldn't because everything was so delicious, and I'm pretty "direct and also strenuous" but that's it Honestly, otherwise you could give the writing away here. - the waitresses aren't having fun, they're just having fun at work. - every personal wish when ordering is implemented and I believe that even if you wanted a fried egg on your knuckle, you would get that too... and a lot more. I'll shorten it now anyway. Everything meets here, from company parties, individual couples, cyclists, celebrities and, and, and... everyone can find their own personal time out here. It couldn't be any more, sensational and somehow a MUST to experience this entire location, whether outside or in the sensational indoor area, great and thank you so much for the experience. 🙏🏻🍻

If in Bremen, come here. The food is absolutely excellent, hearty portions, lovely staff and delicious beer, served traditionally and also in 1ltr glasses.

We were very satisfied and enthusiastic about the service and boss of the house. Food was fantastic, we asked if everything was OK and the response was immediate: the sauce wasn't as it should be. The right one came immediately. Simply great, you can only react if you know. Thank you, it was a really nice evening.

The food tends to be Bavarian rustic, which is what you expect. However, Sir can also do kale, salads etc. The service staff are outstanding... always friendly, always quick!!! Unfortunately, this is becoming more and more rare!!!

Visited the restaurant again: Again it turned out that the staff was not courteous and friendly. Sending staff to schools probably wouldn't be a bad idea. Otherwise the restaurant is fine.

Had a housewife-style beef roulade with red cabbage and mashed potatoes. The beef roulade was dry and the amount of red cabbage and mashed potatoes was small. 0.5 l beer €6.40, in Bremen, unbelievable. Price-performance ratio moderate.

Last place in Bremen where German food is served

The food was good. Quite tasty and not what you would get at the next best place so interesting and new. Service felt rushed but otherwise friendly. Just a mixup on the order once. No problem once pointed out and quick replacement of the drink. Atmosphere was not too impressive. I have seen better but also worse. Overall it was something to keep in mind for some larger group gatherings like a friends group.

Large selection of Bavarian but also typical Bremen dishes. There is also a good selection of vegetarian and some vegan dishes. Very nice staff and nice atmosphere. Often very crowded when the weather is good.

We got really fancy in the new beer garden today. But €6.40 for a large beer and €10.00 for currywurst with fries is really expensive.

It's been a long time since I've been to the beautifully landscaped beer garden. But what the owner thought with these prices is really outrageous. Bad fries €7 and beer 0.5l unbelievable €6.40.

This time I wasn't even served, even though I was sitting at the bar in the beer garden. The friendly young man made eye contact several times, but then served other guests.

Very friendly staff, but the food was rather average - the fried potatoes were like rubber and the schnitzel was only half cooked. This elite allocation of seats was also very annoying. My girlfriend and I wanted to decide for ourselves where we wanted to sit, and there were no umbrellas in the beer garden. We had to sit in the blazing sun because we didn't want to sit inside in this nice weather.

Prices are complete moon prices for poor quality! 25€ for Wienerschnitzel. Received 2 small pieces of breading. Small bowl of potato salt. Complete fake shop. I don't recommend anyone to eat there! Should they go bankrupt at these prices!

While looking for a table, we accidentally entered an area (outside terrace) where there was a closed group, which unfortunately wasn't obvious as a guest (a sign would have helped). We were very rudely asked to leave the area. The “receptionist” can be more friendly. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was great. Toilets need to be cleaned more often.

We had arranged to meet several people in the beer garden, so it was a good location in itself, but the redesign was clearly reflected in the prices. Phew, a portion of fries without everything was 5.50€, the portion of fries with chili cheese sauce was 9.50€, a beer 0.5 for 6.50€, so I found that really quite steep. It's a shame, but we probably won't be going back again..

The beer garden is dirty as hell and the prices are royal, €6.50 for a Weizen is the highest level in Bremen. When you think you don't need it anymore.....been here twice, the first and last time.

The website said the beer garden was closed, so I tried calling to see if we could still sit outside. After 5 unsuccessful calls and 2 unanswered emails (the one listed on the website seemed to be wrong) we went there at random. I learned from the receptionist that you couldn't answer the phone and that you only checked emails irregularly. There are not enough staff for that. Therefore we should have used the booking form on the website to make the reservation. However, that wouldn't have answered my question. We still got the last available outdoor table. It's like sitting in a Bavarian beer garden, under chestnuts and lime trees, with a view of the Weser. This is really recommended. Three of us ordered sausage salad, once as a starter and twice as a main course. When the main course came, we were surprised why it was as small as the starter. The only difference was two half slices of bread instead of half. And 7 EUR price difference. Of course we asked the waiter, who immediately apologized and promptly brought us the same portion again. This resulted in a normal amount, but still not a huge amount. By the way, what was billed at the end was not two large sausage salads for a total of EUR 31.80, but four small ones for EUR 35.60. So it happened that we paid a total of EUR 50.60 for two salads and three beers. Since I only noticed this when I got home, all I could do was get annoyed. The tavern salad that a friend had ordered was quite expensive at EUR 16 because it mainly consisted of leaf lettuce. She had ordered fried mushrooms with it. That was a handful and cost another 4 EUR on top. Finally, our friends treated themselves to a Kaiserschmarrn for EUR 7.20. If they had ordered compote with it, another EUR 1.50 would have been added. Our food was OK, but not outstanding. You go there more for the atmosphere, and it's pleasant outside in good weather. Overall, despite the adversities, we had a nice evening and were otherwise well served.

This time I was pleasantly surprised after I didn't eat well there once. The service was attentive and friendly, in a good mood. Today I had beef rump with a generous portion of herb butter. There could have been a few more croquettes. But everything was very tasty. I like the atmosphere. The view of the Weser from the beer garden is beautiful, but it's also cozy inside.

We wanted to eat there for the first time today, and while looking for a table in the shade we overlooked the sign that said you should wait and be shown to the table. A waitress then pointed this out to us very clearly and very unfriendly and loudly sent us back. So that's it for us, don't let the staff talk to us, a friendly hint would have been enough.

I was very surprised after reading so many negative things about the pork knuckle and ordered it today. It was super crispy and tender. Unfortunately, the dumplings were lukewarm but also delicious, as was the sauerkraut. The nice waiter asked if everything was OK and I mentioned that there wasn't enough sauce and I was promptly given a pot of sauce with it... You can do that too Don't complain about the service. In the future I won't read any reviews about restaurants and would rather see for myself whether it's tasty.

The burger was really tasty. The meat was juicy, the rolls were nice and soft and the salad tasted really fresh. Unfortunately you couldn't sit outside, so points were deducted for the ambience 😅

Food was very good, took a little time even though there wasn't much going on. In my opinion, portions are very small for a Bavarian pub. The portion of sweet mustard was only a small cup full. Not as expected. The plate with meatloaf and warm potato salad still looked very empty. The price is on the higher side. Conclusion: not very tasty food for a lot of money

So it got really expensive. I find the beer 0.5l €6.40 steep. The food (Sunday lunch) was just mediocre. But the service was very nice and friendly.

I was there on Sunday May 26th. in the Bremen “Paulaner” to drink a beer outside with a voucher. I got the beer BUT the voucher was accepted for the outdoor area NICT. There is no indication of this major restriction on the voucher. I think this is unacceptable, never again Paulaner.

This inn has a wonderful location right on the Weser, a beautiful beer garden under old trees, there's nothing to complain about. The drinks and most of the people in service are also great. However, with one exception, I found the food to be extremely weak. I once ordered a sausage salad, which tasted like nothing due to the lack of tasty sausage and spices and was a bad joke for what was offered. The second time I ordered half a pork knuckle and was glad I didn't take the whole one! The thing was tough like leather and super dry, so I could hardly cut the meat. This is not how you prepare a pork knuckle!! I'll happily drink a beer or a glass of wine there again in the future and sit outside in the beautiful beer garden, but I won't eat anything there again.

The food is absolutely average - but the knuckle is quite good. Great beer garden when the weather is good and has just been newly redesigned. The view of the Weserwehr is uniquely beautiful and there is always something to see. Perfect starting point for cyclists.

Great location, service quality very dependent on the day's form of the employees and WHO is on duty at the time. Drinks are okay, food is very disappointing, in my opinion the price-performance ratio is inadequate. A real shame.

Really no special cuisine, just delivered goods, but prices that are too high and a service that takes a long time to arrive. The new outside area changes visually and improves, but generally as usual.

Unfortunately the entire meal was cold. When the waitress asked if everything was OK. Did we complain about that? The food would be cleared away and replaced with hot food after a while.

So unfriendly that we left without eating.

Worst store I've ever been in, the bouncer was very unfriendly. They also refused to serve us outside and the staff were very overwhelmed. I wouldn't wish a catastrophic experience on anyone.

Tasty Bavarian/German cuisine... Roast pork, schnitzel, knuckle, roulades, but also salad, fish and seasonal kale, asparagus and the like. Quality is good. Well-coordinated and friendly staff... everything goes smoothly.

Tasty home-style, hearty cuisine. I had lunch today. There are two meals to choose from. Normally I wouldn't have chosen this dish, but since I just wanted to have a bite to eat, I chose this meal anyway. It was consistently tasty, but I think the price-performance ratio is a bit too high. The atmosphere is very rustic, almost Alpine. But it is also a restaurant that exclusively offers this cuisine. It's just not really mine. The service was again excellent and very nice.

I've eaten here several times before, but today it was unfortunately unsatisfactory! At 6:15 p.m. on Sunday there was neither schnitzel nor roast pork! Then we decided on the pork knuckle. Result: the rind was not crispy but soft and spices seemed to have been forgotten or only used minimally, so it was tasteless. The sauce was so fatty that the fat separated out clearly and could be seen on the plate. Strangely, the service didn't ask if it was tasty! That wasn't worth the money! A restaurant on Sunday evening without schnitzel is simply not possible.

We liked it a lot. Unfortunately, the vegetarian offering has been reduced and the delicious vegetarian schnitzels have been removed.

Nice decor Bavarian friendly staff

The pork knuckle we ordered was terribly bad. I've never eaten such dry meat in my life - especially not in a restaurant and especially not for €23. The meat almost got stuck in my throat when I swallowed, it was so dry. I don't think even a dog could have gotten this down. At least you could eat the side dish. The cheese spaetzle was quite good and the service was also very nice. Hence two stars. Attached is a photo of the dry meat.

A chic restaurant directly on the Weser. The staff as well as the food were top! The seating on the benches is comfortable. However, it was a bit louder, which was probably due to the guests rather than the acoustics.

Reservation online worked great. There were two of us for lunch. Nice atmosphere, the service was very friendly, the food came quickly and was very tasty. The portion size was also great for the price. The knuckle was tasty, crispy but not hard or dry. Super moist chocolate cake. Bright and large restaurant in a very nice place. The restaurant also has a beer garden for those sunny days and free parking.

Ein echtes Highlight für Fußballfans ist die Möglichkeit, die Spiele von Werder Bremen zu gucken, während man sich durch das umfangreiche Biersortiment probiert. Die Biere, sei es das süffige Helles oder das erfrischende Pils, werden mit einem Giraffenhals-ähnlichen Zapfrohr serviert, was nicht nur visuell beeindruckend ist, sondern auch den Geschmack auf ein neues Level hebt. Wir waren letzte Woche zur Kohlfahrt dort. Stimmung und Service waren gut. Leider haben wir unsere Jacken am Eingang abgegeben. Als wir sie abgeholt haben, waren sie sehr dreckig.. Auch der Herr vor uns hat sich nicht gerade gefreut. Es scheint, als wäre vielleicht der ganze Jackenständer umgefallen oder sonstiges. Dies war natürlich nach einem sehr lustigen Abend ein ärgerlicher Dämpfer.

Wir gehen regelmäßig hier essen. Es ist standardisiert und die Gerichte schmecken immer gut. Ich kann den Paulaner im Wehrschloss sehr empfehlen. Abends nur mit Vorbestellung. In der Kohlzeit sind Wochenenden keine Plätze mehr zu bekommen. Die Preise auf der neuen Speisekarte sind höher als im alten Jahr. Der Salat mit Lachs ist nun anstatt mit gebratenem frischen Lachs leider mit Stücken von gebeiztem Lachs angerichtet. Der Service ist - wenn es voll ist- stets bemüht, das Bestellte zügig zu bringen, manchmal dauert es halt... Trotzdem kann ich das Restaurant empfehlen.

Ein Gasthaus mit echtem bayrischen Flair. Lange Tische aus Holz, tolle Beleuchtung durch das Oberlicht. Der Service war schnell und freundlich. Super gut: es gibt vier vegane Speisevarianten auf der Karte!! Haxe und Schweinebraten waren lecker vom Geschmack, jedoch das Fleisch ein bisschen trocken. FAZIT: Wir kommen wieder, um uns weiter durch die tolle Karte zu probieren 👍

Das Ambiente ist gemütlich. Der Service ist schnell, freundlich und versiert. Die Speisekarte klingt gerade im vegetarischen und veganen Bereich vielversprechend und ambitioniert. Leider war das Essen dann am Ende nur in Ordnung. Die Portionen gefühlt etwas zu klein für den Preis. Der Geschmack nur Durchschnitt. Der Apfelstrudel zum Nachtisch war leider nicht kross. Vorgebacken und dann aufgewärmt - würde ich vermuten. Schade, da wäre sicher mehr drin gewesen. Grundsätzlich aber trotzdem ein Ort, wo ich wieder hingehen würde. Ob noch mal zum Essen, weiß ich jedoch nicht...

Wir waren zum täglich wechselnden Mittagstisch hier und wurden freundlich empfangen und an einem schönen Tisch plaziert. Kurz darauf kam die Speisekarte. Wir bestellten Ochsenbäckchen mit Rotkohl und Schupfnudeln. Das Essen und die Getränke standen kurze Zeit später auf dem Tisch. Das Gericht schmeckte köstlich. Das Fleisch war sehr zart, die Soße dazu schmackhaft, Rotkohl und Schupfnudeln ebenso. Zwischendurch erkundigte sich der Kellner ob alles in Ordnung ist. Das Preis-leistungsverhältnis stimmte. Wir waren alles in allem sehr zufrieden und empfehlen das Lokal gerne weiter. Es ist in der heuten Zeit schon bemerkenswert wenn bei einem Lokalbesuch alles von A-Z passt.

Ich war weniger begeistert als ich dachte. Es war ein Brunch an einem Sonntag um 11 Uhr. Die Auswahl der Gerichte war eher gering und nicht sehr schön dargeboten. Der Service am Platz lief gut. Der angebotene Räucherfisch war lecker. Dennoch, insgesamt wäre für den nicht gerade geringen Preis mehr drin gewesen. Da geht noch was.

Service: flink und freundlich Essen: grosse Portion Grünkohl mit ausreichender Wurst- und Fleischbeilage. Leider war der Kohl nur lauwarm. Unseren Hinweis nahm die Servicekraft ernst und bot uns eine neue Portion Kohl und einen Kaffee an. Wir lehnten beides an; wir hätten nicht mehr Kohl essen können. Ambiente: der Jüngling hinter der Bar gähnte unübersehbar mit weit geöffnetem Mund, den er sich mit der Handinnenfläche zu hielt. Er nahm seine Tätigkeit am Zapfhahn auf, ohne sich die Hände zu waschen resp. Zu desinfizieren. Nach vier Wochen suchten wir das Restaurant erneut auf, um wiederum grünkohl zu essen. Bei der Bestellung baten wir darum, den Kohl sehr heiß zu servieren. Leider gelang es nicht. Der Kohl war lauwarm. Ein Ärgernis! Entweder ist die Küchencrew ignorant oder - und das ist wahrscheinlicher -unfähig. Dies spiegelt sich auch in den vorstehenden Kritiken, die allesamt kaltes bzw nur warmes essen bemerken, wider. Die Küchencrew sollte schnellstmöglich und rigoros ausgetauscht werden. Vielleicht gelingt es einem neuen Koch auch Bratkartoffeln zuzubereiten, die NICHT gekocht wirken wie auf unserem Teller. Für uns war es dann mit weiteren Besuchen des Paulaner am Wehrschloss.

Das Essen und der Service waren wie immer perfekt, obwohl das Restaurant bis zum letzten Tisch belegt war. Die Dessertplatte ist ein Gedicht 👍

Wieder einmal stimmte alles…vielen Dank. Das Schnitzel wurde ebenso wie die Große Platte perfekt gewürzt und Serviert. Hier bekommt Frau ohne zu fragen zu dem Espressi ein Glas Wasser dazu und anscheinend einen selbstgemachten Keks.

Reservierung online hat super geklappt. Wir waren zu zweit und haben eine ganze Haxe mit Beilagen und eine halbe Haxe mit Beilagen bestellt. Wir hatten wirklich die leckersten, zartesten Haxen mit der knusprigsten Schwarte! Danach haben wir uns eine Portion Kaiserschmarrn von der Dessertkarte geteilt. Mega lecker. Wir sind absolut begeistert. Auch von dem aufmerksamen und sehr freundlichen Service. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!!
