Very nice place with a great atmosphere! Unfortunately, the wait for food and drinks is quite long.

Traditional cuisine. Very friendly service. A classic day-trip restaurant.

Went back after a long time in the hope that things had improved. As soon as we sat down the waiter asked what we wanted to drink and then brought the menu. We ordered quickly. After that more and more guests came and were served and quickly got their drinks. After asking, we finally got our drinks after 40 minutes. 3 tables that arrived after us got their ordered food, but we still didn't after an hour. When we asked, yes, there is a lot to do, hello, 4 tables that arrived after us had their food and drinks before us. When we asked, another shrug of the shoulders. We paid for our drinks and left the restaurant and will never go back. Apparently the restaurant industry is doing badly, I think lack of interest is the problem.

We spontaneously stopped by the restaurant around 6 p.m. today. It was Whit Monday. It wasn't busy. The service was very friendly. Ordering was quick, and the food arrived quickly, too. Curry/fries, a small salad, and a cordon bleu with fried potatoes. The food was okay, especially considering the price (it's rather cheap). The fried potatoes were a bit limp and greasy. Good selection of beer and drinks. Overall, it was okay.

We came to the asparagus dinner with 15 people. Although the place was only moderately full, we had to wait over an hour for our food. Then the plates were served one at a time. Unfortunately, the sauces (butter, hollandaise) were intentionally served at the very end, so the first few had to wait a while before they could start eating and it slowly got cold. This process needs to be changed... The food was super delicious. Excellent value for money too. Unfortunately... everyone's asparagus was very firm... since it was borderline and we were all starving, we ate it and didn't complain (but it annoyed us). In the end, unfortunately, we were charged for a drink that no one had ordered (the wrong beer arrived, we complained, the beer was returned, the correct one came, but BOTH were charged)....

Not recommended: The service seemed overwhelmed, the fried potatoes were soft and greasy, and the outdoor area overall made a rather unkempt impression. Better off going to Café Sand.

Exceptionally delicious and with friendly service. A traditional restaurant with distinction. In winter, the kale with Pinkel (a kind of sausage) is highly recommended. Pair it with a delicious Kräusen Pilsner on tap.

Bad service. We ordered coffee and cake for 15 people at 4 p.m. The table wasn't set, and coffee was served by the cup, which naturally took a while. The strawberry cake arrived at the table already torn. We complained and asked for the manager. Someone did come, but it wasn't the right manager. It was an employee. They had to decide whether it was being heated, otherwise it would probably still have been frozen. At 6 p.m., we finally had everything on the table. Wouldn't recommend it. Dinner came a bit faster. Well, yes, it was ready-made schnitzel, fried potatoes from a bag, and frozen vegetables. DRINKS ALSO TOOK A VERY LONG TIME OR DID NOT ARRIVE AT ALL. I PERSONALLY WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE Almost €500 is a lot of money. It was reserved in advance for 15 people.

Food: The food is delicious. The vegan Knipp was great, the vegan currywurst was okay. The portions could have been a little larger, but overall ok. Service: Very nice waitress, who then probably got off work and left the outside area to her two male colleagues who didn't try hard at all. Part of the order was forgotten, which we addressed immediately when the food arrived. The waiter hardly reacted, so the missing part was of course not delivered. When I asked again whether it would come straight away, it turned out that it wasn't passed on to the kitchen at all. Although we then said that we no longer needed it since we were finished, it was then delivered later and of course we were also billed for it. Overall, the two male waiters weren't attentive at all and were more busy talking to each other. Ambiance: old-fashioned inside and also a bit musty. The outside area was unfortunately a bit dirty, with tissues and other rubbish lying around.

Started strong, slowed down a lot! At the beginning we had friendly, great service, we ordered drinks and food. Unfortunately she got off work and the shop was left to her 2 male colleagues. When the food came, the fried egg was forgotten, which I mentioned straight away, the waiter said it would be there soon, 20 minutes later, I asked the second waiter what was happening, and it was noticed that it had simply not been passed on and nothing had happened in the 20 minutes. When the fried egg arrived, everything was already eaten and I said I didn't need it anymore. The waiter's words were just "yeah" and of course it was off on the bill. Overall, the two of them didn't make any effort at all, they were barely visible and even if they just stared at the floor, they just didn't allow themselves to be spoken to. We were happy to skip another drink and dessert.

Simply MEGA!!! We stayed in Bremen for 2 nights on the parking space next to it. I thought the restaurant would definitely not be good if it was next to a parking lot. BUT: IT WAS SO DELICIOUS!!!!! The schnitzel was tender as butter, the fried potatoes were delicious and the hunter's sauce was the best I've ever had. With fresh whole champion heads. My husband's fish and vegetables were also very tasty. Very good price. We'd love to come back when we're nearby.

Delicious food and good service. They spontaneously had room for 30 people for lunch on a Sunday.

The food was good, home-style. The schnitzels were good, as were the fried potatoes. The medallions were hard and chewy. The vegetables tasted like nothing and were watery. The service was very slow, chewing gum and totally not in the mood! He had forgotten our food order and we waited forever for everything. The restaurant is old-fashioned and outdated.

The vegetables came from the freezer and had little flavor on their own. And it wasn't further processed to taste, so we found something lukewarm on the plate that looked like cauliflower, broccoli and carrots. The pork medallion was way too chewy and hard. The mushrooms in the sauce had a soft consistency and therefore came from the jar. The fried potatoes were pleasantly hot, crispy and well seasoned. The service was subpar, I won't go into detail about that now.

Good local cuisine, especially Bremen dishes.

We were at the Kuhhirten campsite and then went to eat at the Kuhhirte restaurant. The ambience is nice and simple. Our waitress Marissa was super friendly and very accommodating. She was also happy to accommodate our special requests. In terms of price, you can get dishes there that are at a good average price. We had a small salad, a schnitzel with fried potatoes and a grilled chicken with vegetables. The salad was great. The two main courses were good and tasty. I would like to emphasize once again that it always depends on how you prepare things yourself and how you like them yourself. There are also enough parking spaces there. All in all, a very good four star recommendation if you are ever in the area.

We were in the restaurant as a large Kohltour company. The food was very tasty 😋 but the tables were very cramped for eating. The music and the DJ were ideal for a Kohl tour and the fact that the bar was right next to the dance floor was perfect. Were there on a cabbage tour. Entrance at 6 p.m. and immediately the toilets were broken. Nothing meaningful was done all evening to solve the problem. The women's toilets (which had been converted into men's toilets - note on the door) were also in an underground condition by 8 p.m. at the latest. All in all, a disgrace for the price. Never again.

Yesterday we went to the Kuhherten for a cabbage tour with 20 people. We had two tables, one table had the full program served to the table, unfortunately they forgot to serve the kale. With so many customers, the staff was completely overwhelmed and could no longer be seen. The table next to us was kind enough to help us out with kale. The Kassler was completely dull, the Mettenden also completely dried out. The cabbage tasted burnt. The only thing that actually turned out well were the boiled potatoes. Unfortunately, things went just as badly with the drinks; a tea we ordered took about 20 minutes to reach the table. As a non-drinking person you really lost there yesterday. The coffee bar that was set up was a nice idea, but it only made sense if the coffee pot had been filled. About the toilets, well, Antifa smears on the wall and no more toilet paper from around eleven o'clock. Conclusion for me, never again. 75€ thrown out the window.

We were here on a cabbage drive. Great DJ. Very tasty food. The best meal on a cabbage trip in a long time. The dance floor is big enough for those who love fire. There was enough security and they did their job very well. The only drawback, but probably cannot be solved structurally in any other way, is that the toilets are in the basement. For people who are already intoxicated, this is a little more difficult to accomplish. But as I said, there is certainly no other way and it is not particularly problematic.

We have been there several times for asparagus tours, this time it was for the cabbage tour. Always great. Super organized. We'll be back.

On the way back from the toilet the menu was handed to me, My companion at the table hasn't even seen a waiter yet. Even though nothing was going on, it was pretty sad. Service comes and doesn't come, so we then leave the restaurant. Atmosphere outdated and not exactly comfortable.

We had our cabbage tour here yesterday. The vegan food was excellent! Vegan cabbage, vegan pee and the beetroot schnitzel really tasted very good! Service was also extremely helpful. Music requests were accepted by the DJ. Toilets are fine. Unfortunately the speakers lack bass, then everything would have been perfect. Gladly again!

Had to wait too long for food. There wasn't enough, for 72 euros not everyone in our group even got a pee while eating basic cabbage. As a matter of principle, meat is not resupplied. Not recommended...

We went to the cabbage party with 6 people. The food was good, the drinks supply depended on the waiter. Not everyone was paying attention. Orders were forgotten several times. All in all, a lovely evening.

The food was very tasty. The portions were large and nicely prepared. The food was served hot. The selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes was very large and very unusual. The vegan kale with vegan pee sausage was super tasty. The waitresses were very friendly and tried hard. We would visit the restaurant again at any time.

The best days are over. The food was no longer comparable considering last year's experience.

We had reserved online. What we didn't know was that Werder had a home game and therefore the restaurant was full of Werder fans. That wasn't bad, but it had more of the feel of a club bar than a restaurant. We were assigned a table by the waiter. Even though the waiter had checked the table, other guests' sauce was still hanging on the tablecloth. The food was ok. We had schnitzel, the schnitzel was fried in fat and the sauce didn't give the impression of fresh mushrooms. Let's put it this way, I can get the same thing cheaper in a chip shop.

We just celebrated a birthday party in the cowshed. Everything worked out wonderfully. The room is structured so that the tables, dance floor and bar are ideally separated from each other. The buffet was, as usual, tasty and of good quality. The service was friendly and quick. We were totally satisfied. Thank you to the whole team!

Thank you for your hospitality, we parked in your parking lot just to look at the city and we didn't hinder anyone, let alone the parking lot was overcrowded, and we didn't leave any trash behind and damage the reputation of the motorhome drivers, thank you for nothing

It is clear that the catering industry is getting old and that a major renovation is needed. The service is very careless and without some offers from the card you can't get it at all, but the notification didn't come until later!!!! And that on a Wednesday after 2 days of rest. The empty plates stood in front of us for 3/4 hours without being woken up, and the restaurant wasn't very busy in the evening. Disappointed from my side as I would have expected more from a traditional Bremen location.

Unfortunately the quality of the food has dropped! The fried potatoes were like they had been warmed up! The non-alcoholic beer was also warm! Too bad! Hopefully my next dinner will be better otherwise I'll have to look for another place!! Let's see how the place develops! This was my verdict a few months ago. At the end of our company outing we enjoyed a delicious barbecue buffet here. This was very extensive and contained both vegetarian and vegan alternatives. Likewise the dessert (various creams and ice cream). The service was great. We were served very well and quickly. I am happy to recommend the “Cowherd”.

We went there for dinner with a large group and we really enjoyed it. The service was attentive, the menu was well put together and the food was delicious. I would particularly like to praise the large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, especially the dishes with "home cooking" (bratwurst, knipp, etc.). It's very rare and also very tasty.

When we stay on site at a parking space, we like to visit the cowherd. There is good home cooking and friendly service here. The price-performance ratio is okay.

We just wanted to have a drink in the beautiful beer garden in front of the house. There were two other guests already there with drinks in front of them. There was a sign on every table that said “Reserved.” A waiter came and asked if we had a reservation. When we said no, we were summarily thrown out. Apparently not enough staff for 2 drinks? I mean how long does it take to serve two wheats? In any case, we won't be seen in this house again...

The two of us ordered the Jägerschnitzel outside on a beautiful summer evening. We received 2 oversized pieces, everything from the breading, the cooking time, the taste of the meat to the hunter's sauce with lots of mushroom pieces was perfect. We also ordered fried potatoes, which you couldn't get better anywhere else. Overall very tasty at a still reasonable price. We were served in a friendly manner and the waiting time for drinks and food was completely reasonable. We'll definitely be back. Thank you.

We were here for the asparagus tour. Food was really good. The waitresses were very friendly and prompt. The DJ also did a good job. Only the way to the toilets, which felt like 100 steps into the basement, was really annoying.

This meal is second to none. I ordered a Holstein-style schnitzel and almost fell off my stool when I got it. A huge portion on a plate just as big. The meat was super tender. We were guests at the neighboring Womobile parking space and decided to visit this restaurant in the afternoon after the beautiful morning in Schnoor and the great visit to the Becks Brewery in the evening. A complete success. A very courteous and friendly staff, the drinks and food were served quickly. And it was really delicious. The XXL Schnitzel rightly deserves its name. We would love to come back and would be happy to recommend it to others

We were there around 8:30 p.m., 3 tables were still occupied! Unfortunately the food wasn't what we imagined! The beef roulade was tough and dry and definitely not fresh! I found my kale plate, which cost over 20 euros, really steep and not enough kale! It took a long time until it was covered again! All 3 tables had finished eating and no one came to clear away, they were too busy setting up tables for the next day! It's a shame, I really expected more of it!

We ate there after the DM in the 50km road race. Very nice atmosphere and there were even delicious (and inexpensive) vegan dishes.

We were one of many cabbage and pee tours here. The food was good, the service friendly and good. It was just generally very loud because it echoed and it was sometimes difficult to have a conversation.

We have recently been meeting there regularly for regular meetings and are very satisfied with the offerings and the price-performance ratio.

We were there 2 weeks ago for the cabbage party, the food was great, there are 2 small things to complain about, the waitresses at the table weren't quite on their toes and unfortunately I have to say point 1, no original Sambuca but what was on site was okay only when I went to get supplies There wasn't anyone else I wanted because it was around 9:30 p.m. I don't think that's possible otherwise it was a very enjoyable evening

We were here for a cabbage drive. It was actually really good, but the start was a bit bumpy. If you book there, you should not make a reservation in the “Diele”. We felt a bit excluded from the “main area” on the other side. When we wanted to go over to celebrate, they didn't let us at first, and it didn't work the other way around (we had friends in the other hall, so we know that). When both areas were “opened” around 9:30 p.m., you were allowed to change. Initially caused a bad mood. It's a shame, because the party was better in the main area than in the hallway. For the rest: Food was great! Drink selection great! The service staff behind the counter were really nice and in a good mood. If it hadn't been for the bumpy start, it would have been 5 stars.

We were on a day visit to Bremen and had already reserved a table in advance in the traditional restaurant "Kuhhirte". Unfortunately, we were not told on the phone that only a special "cabbage card" is currently valid on Fridays and Saturdays due to the many cabbage tours. Except for a few standards, the actual card, which was also available on the Internet, was unfortunately not valid... We still decided on one of the special dishes (currywurst with fries and the small kale plate) and found it all extremely tasty. Price-performance was exactly right. The service was very friendly and helpful. Card payment is possible. We would love to come back for a visit.

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe zum Ende einer Kohlwanderung dort. Das Essen war außerordentlich lecker, Service und Ambiente waren aufgrund der guten Stimmung innerhalb der Gruppe nicht wichtig... wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Leider kann ich die positiven Meinungen nicht teilen , da ist extrem viel Luft nach oben in allen Bereichen …

Der DJ war eine Null-Nummer. Da wäre Spotify deutlich besser gewesen. Vom „Mischen“ war da nicht die Rede. Jedes Lied bis zum Ende und auch kein guter Übergang. Das kann jedes Programm besser!

Super Ort, um mal schön und bodenständig zu essen. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht und bringt es voll auf den Punkt. Wir haben uns rundum sehr wohl und ehrlich sowie gut bedient gefühlt. Bitte so weiter machen

Essen war super lecker (12 Leute, entsprechend verschiedene Gerichte)! Der Service war gut. Preis-Leistung absolut ok. Die Raucher gehen natürlich nach draußen und....weit und breit kein Aschenbecher👎, nicht gut.

Ein sehr schöner Ort für Feiern und zum Einkehren. Der Kuhhirten hat allerdings schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Die Küche ist zwar nicht herausragend aber trotzdem zu empfehlen.

Sehr ordentlich. Hatten unsere Weihnachtsfeier hier. Klassisch urig, wie eine solche Feier sein muss. Die Lage etwas außerhalb im Grünen hat das Ambiente abgerundet.

Wir waren mit 6 Personen essen. Getränke wurden aufgenommen und gebracht. Essen wurde aufgenommen. Erste 2 Essen wurden serviert , anstatt Jägerschnitzel wurde ein Wienerschnitzel serviert, Bratkartoffeln mit 2 Spiegeleiern ohne Spiegeleier. 3.Essen Cordon Bleu konnte man den Käse suchen, 1x Königsberger Klopse „so na ja“. 2 x Kuhhirtenburger gingen zurück ,weil Sie kalt waren. Nach circa 20 Minuten kamen die Burger zurück…… Brötchen knüppelhart und Burger tot gebraten. Wenn das Essen doch schon ungenießbar zurück geht, mache ich es doch nicht in der Mikrowelle warm. Mensch dann versuche ich doch mein Fauxpas auszugleichen . Für uns ganz klar „ so geht man nicht mit Gästen um. Leider muss man 1 Stern geben, wenn es nach mir ginge würde ich da ein Minus vorsetzen.

Womoplatz ohne Reservierung. Automatenzahlung. Freie Platzwahl. Saubere Sanitäranlagen vorhanden. Platz sehr matschig bei Regen und viel viel Laub im Herbst.
