Big shout out to all of you! The staff was super friendly and totally helpful. We were stuck in a traffic jam for two hours and wanted to eat something quick before the Starlight Express left. When we called and asked if we could get something within an hour so that we could get to the musical at 7:30 p.m., you helped us a lot and were really nice. The food was… just delicious! Especially the knuckle and liver. When we are in Bochum again - hopefully more relaxed - we will definitely come back to the Paulaner Embassy. Thank you for your help!

Four of us had dinner in the restaurant. The drinks were received promptly and came to the table very quickly. However, the issuing of the menus was delayed by around 30 minutes. Guests who came after us received their cards shortly after arriving at the table. At some point we were able to place our order. It then took another 1 1/2 hours until we got our food. The service also decreased in friendliness throughout the evening. The last time I was there was about 20 years ago. Somehow I immediately had deja vu. Because it was similar there. So definitely the last time for me. The food was excellent, you can't say anything against that. Hence 4 stars and also for the ambience.

You have to look for a long time in Munich to find a brewery restaurant as good as the Paulaner Embassy in Bochum! Perfect!

We spontaneously went to the Paulaner Embassy on Friday and were fascinated from start to finish! The atmosphere was super cozy and rustic. The service was incredibly friendly and very quick. The food was perfect.

Absolutely recommended restaurant. The food is delicious and fresh. In addition to the normal menu, there is a changing menu with special dishes presented by the employees. Something in writing (perhaps on reusable boards?) would still be great, because the prices weren't presented and it might lead to unpleasant conversations. The staff is like the atmosphere: friendly and rustic. Drinks came quickly and with a cheeky saying. We found it entertaining and felt very comfortable.

We were guests at the Paulaner for the second time. And we are thrilled. The food is great, the ambience and the service, everything is great. We look forward to our next visit, which won't be long.

I felt like family even though it was my first time eating there. I had the pepper schnitzel with garlic 🍟 and it was so tasty, but also a huge portion. It was a wonderful experience for me.

Very cool location, really with a lot of attention to detail. We were there when the place was full and understaffed and we were still treated very nicely and friendly. Even though we accidentally tipped over a full glass, we quickly dried everything and joked along. They were all child-friendly too. The food came quickly and empty drink glasses were checked regularly. The food was simply great and the price-performance ratio was also right. We are absolutely thrilled and will definitely come back!

We had dinner there yesterday with several people. We were very pleasantly surprised. The new young owners have changed this to their advantage. The atmosphere is very nice and the food is very tasty. There is something for everyone. You can go there with family and friends even if they are vegetarian or vegan. The food here is also really very good. Everyone was thrilled and we would love to come back. Stay as you are...authentically open and cheerful and polite towards your guests. We were there for the 2nd Christmas party after we really enjoyed our Christmas there last year. The food is really great. No matter what you order, good quality and everything tastes good. The portions are very generous. Unfortunately, we cannot give such a good rating when it comes to service (of course this does not mean the entire service team). Questions are met with rude counter-questions or snappy answers. When ordering, a different side dish was requested, whereupon they said that it wouldn't taste good. I would say that the guest is king and if you wish something different, that should be accepted too. We were 9 people in total. 8 of us were served the main course at the same time. One person had to wait another 10 minutes and was allowed to watch the others eat. Not a nice situation. An apology was made for this, but we think that something like that simply doesn't work in a restaurant like this. The portions were so generous that two of us had the leftovers packed up. At home we were very surprised that only the meat from the dish was packed. However, all of the side dishes (which were actually very plentiful) were not packed. In our opinion, this is also an absolute no go. You should save yourself the question of whether you want to take the leftovers with you.

My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time. Nice and cozy and lovingly decorated for Christmas 🌲🌲🎅 The lunch menu was good and plentiful. There is no special menu for the lunch menu, as the owner explained to us. Whatever is cheap at the wholesale market in the morning is bought and processed. Super! That's how I do business too. A good attitude. That's why we'll eat at Paulaner again. This time in the evening because we liked the menu. Good home cooking👌👍

A very warm welcome from the service staff, which only increased over the course of the evening. We had a starter and a main course, the food was not only tasted very harmoniously but was also a feast for the eyes on the plate. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very harmonious. I was here with a group today. Wonderful service and fantastic food. Our waiter and waitress were very attentive and made sure everyone was happy. An older colleague of the waitress and waiter made demands to our waitress right in front of us and was so rude to her even though she was still professional and firm yet tactful. The older lady just waved dismissively at our waitress, all in front of the guests. Not a good picture and you shouldn't treat people like that. Otherwise a near perfect experience.

Terrible terrible experience. Service was below bottom line. We were a large group, two including me came earlier and the others came later. When the large group (6 people) came, the waitress refused to bring more menus and forced us to order with only one menu. When we asked for more menus, the waitress refused. Excuse me??? She even stared at me and knocked her pencil angrily on the table to ask me for the order, without saying a word. What??? When I got annoyed by her, she kept throwing that face to me and pointed to me to ask “What’s wrong with you? Do you have any trouble with me? Say it out!” What??? Can you imagine this is something a waitress said to a guest??? Even when she finally took the drink order, she kept looking into trouble with us, refusing to take the dish menu because we booked a table of 8 but only 6 people made it at the beginning. ( She blamed her terrible behavior on my friends being late. But madam, I’m the most punctual one in the group! What’s the logic to target me??? And she kept scolding my poor friend for being late for a really long time!!!) And still, excuse me??? It’s 5pm for dinner, we’re not occupying your table at peak hours! Your business was half empty at the time! If late guests are so criminal, what about ask us for a medical certificate to excuse a friend being late?? Is it a dinner or an exam?! Ridiculous!!

Quaint Bavarian restaurant in the middle of Bochum. There is even a beer garden. You can see that I love running the restaurant. The rough charm of the Pott mixed with Bavarian brewery tradition is great. The food is very tasty and of high quality. There are daily recommendations and a great menu including desserts. There is even Kaiserschmarrn. We were here 2 days in a row. A reservation is helpful but not necessarily necessary every day. When I'm in Bochum I'll definitely come back.

Nice shop, even if you don't quite buy the Paulaner Embassy being in the deepest part of Bavaria. Food was delicious, beer was great and service was quick and friendly. Even though I received surprised and sometimes horrified looks from the employees when I entered the dining room, barefoot was ultimately not a problem.

We went there for the first time yesterday, even though we come from Bochum. Everything was perfect. We haven't eaten so well in a long time. The portions are large and extremely tasty. Everything homemade. The schnitzels are fried in the pan, as they should be, the dumplings were perfect and and and Oh, I'm thrilled ;-) The service was also top. We'll definitely be back. If I could I would give it 10 stars. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately I can't give 10 stars, but the restaurant absolutely deserves it! The service is super friendly and very accommodating, we were warmly welcomed and served in a very friendly manner. The ambience exudes total Bavarian charm and gives you a cozy feeling. The food is GORGEOUS! Everything is homemade, the meat was cooked to perfection and the mushroom sauce consists of more than just mushrooms. Even the fried onions are lovingly homemade here. Our conclusion is that everyone should stop here because it is always worth it.

When going into another country I always try to find good cozy traditional food as something to try. This place ticked all the boxes and made me really happy to try Bavarian food. Everything was delicious and cooked fresh and the service was great. Highly recommended and I'm curious to try other dishes if I had the chance.

Does what you expect from a Paulaner economy. Good Bavarian and home-style cuisine and a rustic atmosphere. Reasonable prices and friendly service. Recommended, I only give 5 stars if it is exceptionally good.
