Ate very tasty, like in Bavaria, not a millimeter worse. Good price/performance ratio. Authentic facility. Everything clean, including toilet. Update: 1 star deduction, after second visit. Super friendly...until they have the money. You still have to work on the farewell. At least look at the guest and don't say goodbye with your head bowed. Those entitled to tip over 11%... so why?

Quaint Bavarian restaurant in the middle of Bochum. There is even a beer garden. You can see that I love running the restaurant. The rough charm of the Pott mixed with Bavarian brewery tradition is great. The food is very tasty and of high quality. There are daily recommendations and a great menu including desserts. There is even Kaiserschmarrn. We were here 2 days in a row. A reservation is helpful but not necessarily necessary every day. When I'm in Bochum I'll definitely come back.

I had an unforgettable experience at the Paulaner Embassy! Even though the restaurant was officially closed, the staff still invited us for dinner. This gesture truly shows their exceptional hospitality and commitment to providing their guests with an outstanding experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious, prepared with the utmost care and high quality ingredients. From the first forkful to the last, each dish was a wonderful journey full of flavors. I highly recommend Paulaner Embassy – their commitment to customer satisfaction is second to none. Five stars! I do not speak German, however, they were willing to assist me and I had a very comfortable dinner.

Nice shop, even if you don't quite buy the Paulaner Embassy being in the deepest part of Bavaria. Food was delicious, beer was great and service was quick and friendly. Even though I received surprised and sometimes horrified looks from the employees when I entered the dining room, barefoot was ultimately not a problem.

We went there for the first time yesterday, even though we come from Bochum. Everything was perfect. We haven't eaten so well in a long time. The portions are large and extremely tasty. Everything homemade. The schnitzels are fried in the pan, as they should be, the dumplings were perfect and and and Oh, I'm thrilled ;-) The service was also top. We'll definitely be back. If I could I would give it 10 stars. Highly recommended!

Four of us went here spontaneously on Saturday lunchtime. Very friendly service and a nice boss who puts her heart and soul into gastronomy! All of us ate schnitzel and were very satisfied. Price/performance is right. Delicious beer. Thank you

We were there for the first time and were contacted by a guest because our granddaughter ate a waffle from the Italian restaurant! It's certainly not welcome, but we ate there as we should. The service also put that into perspective! But the star for service. We didn't go inside, so we saved ourselves that. It doesn't get any better.

Unfortunately I can't give 10 stars, but the restaurant absolutely deserves it! The service is super friendly and very accommodating, we were warmly welcomed and served in a very friendly manner. The ambience exudes total Bavarian charm and gives you a cozy feeling. The food is GORGEOUS! Everything is homemade, the meat was cooked to perfection and the mushroom sauce consists of more than just mushrooms. Even the fried onions are lovingly homemade here. Our conclusion is that everyone should stop here because it is always worth it.

When going into another country I always try to find good cozy traditional food as something to try. This place ticked all the boxes and made me really happy to try Bavarian food. Everything was delicious and cooked fresh and the service was great. Highly recommended and I'm curious to try other dishes if I had the chance.

Does what you expect from a Paulaner economy. Good Bavarian and home-style cuisine and a rustic atmosphere. Reasonable prices and friendly service. Recommended, I only give 5 stars if it is exceptionally good.

Nice restaurant delicious food and drinks. Became le. Taken over by the son of the innkeeper couple last year. It still tastes very good. The portions are plentiful. It is cozy and nicely decorated. The staff is very courteous and quick, as is the advice if you are undecided. The restaurant is highly recommended.

We were at the Paulaner for the first time today. Inconspicuous from the outside, but from the inside we were immediately impressed by the ambience. Even though we were early, we were greeted warmly. At the table we were also informed about the extra dishes that were not on the menu. Despite the fact that it was very busy, the food came really quickly. Our starter (ravioli soup) was really good and the main courses (hock and pork fillet) were a poem! The fillet was so tender and still slightly pink. The knuckle is super crispy, just as it should be. We have rarely eaten something so delicious! My highlight was also my cappuccino in a small beer mug and the “bucket” of popcorn. This was definitely not our last visit! We recommend.

Shortly after entering the restaurant, you get the feeling of being in Bavaria. The seat cushions are a bit annoying and not the most comfortable, but the food makes up for it. We have an absolute recommendation for anyone who wants a short trip to Bavaria.

Unsere Reservierung war nirgendwo notiert und wir wurden sehr sehr unfreundlich behandelt, da wir über Open Table gebucht und nicht angerufen hatten. Warum bietet das Restaurant das überhaupt an? Nur widerwillig wurde uns ein Tisch in dem wirklich nicht vollem Restaurant angeboten. Na ja, wenn man sich nicht so unwillkommen vorgekommen wäre...Das Essen war gute Hausmannskost und sonst war der Service (bis auf die schon erwähnte Frau an der Theke) auch kompetent, schnell und sehr freundlich.

A very clear recommendation for a really, really good meal, which we had on May 25th. were able to enjoy and magical hospitality from the 2 ladies. Here everyone will find something delicious on the menu and can feel completely at home. I ordered a really perfectly prepared rump steak and my companion a fantastic pepper chicken and the drinks were served quickly. We would love to come back and many thanks to the 2 ladies. 5 🌟

Authentic Bavarian cuisine in a rustic atmosphere. The dishes are mostly Bavarian and recommended. The guest room is really rustic in wood and fits the Bavarian theme perfectly. The music can be expanded with German hits and doesn't really fit the ambience. A real beer garden would still be missing to really feel like you're in Bavaria. Unfortunately, the outside seating is right on the street and is therefore only recommended on very warm days. Unless you like the typical street noise of the city center. The staff is nice, quick and attentive. Unfortunately, a no-go is that the kitchen often closes two hours before closing time and you have to be lucky to get anything at all at 8 p.m. on the weekend.

We were here with 12 people. An hour after us, a party of around 50 people arrived. Nevertheless, the service was always quick and cheerful. Very tasty food and beer. Full marks, you simply can't expect more, everything is great!

The positive first: The boss was very helpful and the staff was nice... But: Long waiting time, food was rather mediocre and unfortunately I also paid €10 more because the total was wrong (but we only noticed it afterwards in our haste). Addendum: The difference was paid back afterwards and the two ladies were very friendly!

Unfortunately only three stars. The food was good and deserves four stars. But the operation doesn't work at all. Unfriendly to no end. There were three of us at the table. She came and wanted to take the drinks. First person ordered and she was gone again. When she came back with the drink and the other two people also wanted to order a drink, the following statement was made: Why can't you say that right away. Now I have to go again. Really nasty and unfriendly. I think this operator has the wrong job. By the way, all the other service staff were nice and the popcorn was more than tasty. You can see what one person can destroy.

Thanks for the delicious vegan jackfruit goulash. The red cabbage was also a dream. The ambience is totally rustic and cozy and yet still modern and well maintained. The two dark-haired waitresses were super nice and attentive. See you soon.

Mega Service und Gerichte in guter Qualität Preislich um Rahmen

Das Essen war top, genauso wie das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Da es sehr voll war mussten wir etwas länger warten bis wir Getränke und Essen bestellen konnten. Leider war am Nebentisch eine größere Gruppe junger Männer, die leider vergessen haben wie man sich in einem Restaurant zu benehmen hat. Sie waren teilweise sehr betrunken, laut und warfen auch mit Servietten rum. Sehr schade, dadurch war unser Aufenthalt nicht so schön, da man sich auch nicht richtig unterhalten konnte, da der Geräuschpegel der Gruppe unerträglich war. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn das Personal mal eingriffen hätte. Aber nichts desto trotz würden wir auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

A very nice atmosphere, the staff is super friendly and very, very attentive The food is very good. The knuckle is amazing. I have never had such a good knuckle anywhere. I can only warmly recommend it. Definitely worth a visit. All other dishes and portions are also difficult to manage.

One thing in advance: the food and the beers are of the finest quality. But what impressed me most was the new setting of the tables. It's been a long time since I saw a waiter polish every cutlery and glass. And later the popcorn machine was cleaned so that it could be considered as new. By the way, we had Viennese onion roast and beef pepper. Both a la minute! Cheers! Plus light and dark.

Anyone who comes to Bochum should stop by there. It's definitely worth it. Just important, make a reservation.

Bavarian gastronomy in the city of Bochum. Decent beer selection and solid food. Portions could be larger. Stars for service vary between 1* and 4* depending on the person. The restaurant has apparently saved most of the schnapps on the house.

Really great, rustic inn with very good food. The knuckle was in no way inferior to the ones I ate in Munich. It was crispy on the outside as it should be and the meat came away from the bone easily. The dumplings and sauce were also very tasty! After the meal we were served popcorn from our own popcorn machine at no extra charge. I didn't know that before, I thought it was really cool. The service was also absolutely outstanding. Extremely friendly and accommodating. Thank you for the lovely day, you were definitely a part of it. Clear recommendation, we will come back at some point!

We went to the restaurant as a couple for Valentine's Day. It was well attended, so we were prepared to wait. Unfortunately it took almost half an hour to request the drinks and another half hour to order the food. So far everything is good, it can happen. The only time there was a lack of understanding was when the guests at the next tables who came after us had food and drinks before us. However, the food was excellent and the restaurant itself was very nice and inviting. The staff is also very nice, although some people seemed overwhelmed. We would still like to come back and hope that the service/waiting times will improve.

A great brewery, lovingly furnished, delicious food and top attentive service. I particularly liked the fact that with every order there was a small gift, such as the caramel sweets with the coffee or the pretzels on the main course.

Die Paulaner Botschaft ist ein Juwel in der Welt der bayerischen Küche. Mit ihrem authentischen Ambiente und herzlicher Gastfreundschaft fühlt man sich wie zuhause. Die Wirtin ist eine wahre Perle, stets aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen ist einfach köstlich, mit traditionellen Gerichten, die den Gaumen verwöhnen. Ein absolutes Muss für alle, die die bayerische Küche lieben und ein unvergessliches kulinarisches Erlebnis suchen. Lieben Dank für den netten Abend. 

Food and drinks (if they came) were good and plentiful. The service, on the other hand, was unfortunately in need of improvement and is unfortunately the reason for the mixed rating.

We went to the restaurant for dinner with a larger group. The ambience is very nicely furnished, quite stylish and comfortable. Unfortunately the service was a disaster. It took 50 minutes before we could order the food, then another similar amount of time until it was at the table. In the meantime, a waitress had completely exposed a colleague in front of us guests, saying, among other things, “he really couldn't do anything,” followed by lectures to us guests. Very uncomfortable. The cheese spaetzle I ordered was swimming in the sauce of the coleslaw I hadn't ordered. All in all, my second visit there, which exactly confirmed the first impression from over 5 years ago.

The animal didn't die in vain!! Great pork knuckle, today classic with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. Served in a Bavarian ambience by friendly and attentive service. It was a nice evening, we'll go again. Recommendation -

Totally great ambience and food, the service is helpful and quick. Requests (special sauce, fries instead of spaetzle) are easily fulfilled at no extra charge. An error that occurred on the invoice was changed immediately and without any problems. Always my pleasure.

A beautiful, typically Bavarian brewery as we know it from Bavaria. We really liked the atmosphere and the entire facility. We felt super comfortable. The service was friendly and always attentive at all times. The food was served at appropriate intervals and we enjoyed it very much. They were very powerful portions. Everyone was more than fed up. In the end, the price was more than fair. I say thank you very much for the lovely evening and see you soon.

Das Restaurant an sich ist super hübsch und überzeugt mit einem tollen Flair. Entspannte Atmosphäre und tolle Sitzgelegenheiten. Der Kaiserschmarren war leider weder Karamellisiert, noch geschmackvoll. Die Pommes sehr ungewürzt. Der Service war zwar super freundlich, aber nicht gut abgesprochen. Der Wurstsalat war ganz lecker aber für die kleine Portion viel zu teuer. Die Brezel war definitiv vom Vortag. Alles in allem war es.. ganz ok. Aber die Speisen haben uns enttäuscht.

Wir haben unsere Weihnachtsfeier letztes Jahr dort abgegalten. Das Essen war aussergewöhnlich köstlich, in Worten nicht zu beschreiben. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam. Das Ambiente top und wir alle haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Herzlichen Dank an das Gesamte Team und die Geschäftsführung für den rundum sehr gelungenen Tag.

Ein wirklich uriges und schönes Lokal. Die Dekorationen innen drin hat uns sehr gefallen. Leider war das Essen und der Service etwas entäuschend. Wir mussten auf die Karte erst 15 Minuten warten, obwohl das Lokal fast leer war. Auf der Karte waren leider nicht alle Gerichte angeboten die wir aus der online Karte kannten, aufgrund von Personalmangel. Sehr schade. Das Essen an sich war eine riesige Portion, konnte allerdings geschmacklich nicht ganz überzeugen. Das Sauerkraut hat mir leider am selben Tag noch Bauchschmerzen bereitet und das obwohl mein Magen wirklich sehr unempfindlich ist. Die Metzgerpfanne hätte ruhig aus mehr Fleisch bestehen können. Das Jackfruit Gulasch war sehr interessant allerdings schmeckte uns dies ebenfalls nicht. Die Kombination passt leider nicht ganz.

War gestern auf einem Kurzurlaub in Bochum, dabei fand ich diese Gaststätte tolles Ambiente, urig Bayrisch, Nette freundliche Bedienung, Essen geschmacklich super, Preise angemessen, Einfach eine Tolle Erfahrung,

Wir waren hier heute zum Essen eingekehrt und ich muss sagen, dass das Essen sehr lecker war. Ich hatte mir die Schweinshaxe bestellt und meine Frau die Nürnberger Würstchen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient. So muss es sein 😊

War Super es hat uns sehr gefallen würde mich das nächste Mal aber nicht für Gans entscheiden!
