Nice and affordable Thai restaurant

Great value for money. Unfortunately, the service can't explain what some of the items are. Huge lattes and a sushi menu. More reminiscent of a fast-food restaurant with seating, yet the interior is full of attention to detail. Self-service drinks from the refrigerator. Glass upon request, otherwise drink from the bottle. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any dishes upon request because the language barrier prevented it, even though the items were on the menu. Still tasty, but very Germanized, adapted to the European palate. e.g., fried onions in fried noodles.

Super delicious, everything looks amazingly presented and tastes amazing! 😊 My peanut sauce dish was so delicious! And the beef was very tender.

We've sold the Pattaya snack bar. We've moved into the Batu restaurant next door. You'll get a spacious, airy space, but the price will still be the same as at the Pattaya snack bar.

I ordered three meals plus a miso soup to takeaway today. A sour smell emanated from the bag when I got home. The miso soup tasted fermented and sour. Apparently, the nori sheets were bad. I tried to clarify this over the phone. Unfortunately, the only response I got was: "...that I can't return a kebab if it doesn't taste good." However, things are different with bad food. I'm usually very satisfied here and eat there often... which is a shame.

Never again!!! Staff fight in the restaurant (kitchen)! The rest of the staff ran out onto the street to protect themselves. It was an unbelievable experience!

Review of Batu Pattaya (restaurant), not the small snack bar next door: We were ripped off when paying! The waitress gave us €10 too little change. This could have been easily corrected by simply taking our bills back. And we even left a 10% tip... Truly disappointing, because I've enjoyed going to this restaurant for years, but never again! I wish the waitress would have just admitted their mistake. There's also a sign on the door stating that they only accept cash payments. After this incident, I now understand why.

Good food but super bad service. Also said 18€ and when I asked for the printed receipt it was 17€

An absolute disaster – never again! I've been to many restaurants, but I've never had such a miserable experience. Everything had gone wrong from the start. The waiter was rude and seemed completely overwhelmed, as if he had only learned what a restaurant was that day. Our order took forever and when the food finally arrived it was cold, tasteless and obviously cobbled together from the cheapest ingredients. The meat was as tough as a shoe sole, the side dishes were inedible, and the salad looked like it had been prepared a week ago. When we complained, we were simply shrugged off. Hygiene also seems to be a foreign concept here - dirty tables, sticky menus and a toilet that made me seriously consider whether I'd rather get food poisoning than use it. To top it all off, we were charged incorrect amounts on the invoice. After this experience, I can only advise everyone: save your money and eat a frozen pizza at home. Not only is it cheaper, it also tastes better. And then the manager or whatever Pegasus or Penguin his name was came and he said we could go somewhere else and he didn't need our money.

The food is incredibly delicious. Price-performance ratio is very good. The drinks are great and cheap. The service is very nice. Overall, highly recommended. Only cash payment possible.

Well, that's how it works. I had number 44: crispy chicken baked with vegetables and rice. The chicken was baked a little too crispy (very dark) and the few vegetables (carrot, frozen peas, green beans) were already mixed with the (whole grain) rice. Not a bit of sauce, so the whole thing was quite dry. The service wasn't really unfriendly, but friendliness is different. A smile would certainly do them good. Definitely not worth more than the €7.90 it costs.

Rarely have I had such bad sushi

We love coming here as a family to eat and often bring friends with us. We all have our favorite dish, but I think we've tried everything by now - and it always tastes great! The quality of the food and drinks are excellent, the service is fast, and most of all we would like to highlight Tong. He is a wonderful host and knows exactly what we like best. It was super quick and extremely tasty. You were well fed and the food was also well presented with side dishes. On request you could also have a vegetarian meat dish. And the price is also completely reasonable. So I'm completely satisfied :)

Quite a nice restaurant. Service is quick and friendly. Food is cheap but the portions are relatively small. The furnishings are modern but also a bit worn in some corners. Probably because there is often a lot going on here in the evenings. No card payment is possible in the restaurant! You will only receive a receipt/invoice upon request. Reservations are not possible online at the moment. To do this you have to call.

We reserved a table for 4 people online and also received a confirmation. When we arrived at the restaurant on time we were told that online reservations were not accepted. Always call! So we were shown the door again!

Red thai curry is absolute must! It was so nice, flavourful and definitely worth the price. ☺️

More fake >> less authenticity: Pad Thai and tofu curry once again Berlin-Vietnamese all sorts. Not real Thai cuisine, as the name tries to suggest. There are definitely better and, above all, more genuine and friendly Thais in our city.

I had high expectations of the “Batz Partaya” restaurant but unfortunately I was bitterly disappointed. **** **Atmosphere and service** The atmosphere was sad and uncomfortable. The tables were close together and the lighting was so bright that I felt like I was sitting in a cafeteria. The service was inattentive and seemed overwhelmed. It took what felt like forever before we could place our order and even then we had to ask multiple times to get our drinks. **** **Eat** The food was the biggest disappointment. The noodles were soggy and tasteless, the shrimp were overcooked and had a rubbery consistency. My companion chose a sushi set that tasted anything but fresh - the fish's taste was far removed from what you would expect in a good Asian restaurant. **** **Hygiene** To make matters worse, hygiene also appeared worrying. The tablecloth was stained and the toilets were in terrible condition - no wonder I didn't feel good about eating. **** **Conclusion** Overall, I cannot recommend “Batu Parraya”. It was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. I certainly won't be back and would advise anyone to look elsewhere if they're in the mood for Asian cuisine.

Top food. But one of the stores doesn't belong when I see the pictures. The shop is called Pattaya. And they don't have cocktails there.

There’s actually two restaurants next to each other with the same name. We went by mistake to the imbiss one with the green signage. Food was absolutely terrible, don’t go. Maybe the restaurant one (which looks much nicer like the photo reviews here) is better. They got our order wrong 3 times, the old guy was grumpy and shouting, I guess because he was also annoyed at the ordering problems. We got pad Thai which had none of the usual ingredients, just rice noodles in a generic tasteless slightly red sauce with none of the sweet and tangy flavors the dish normally has, no egg, just a couple of bean sprouts and gronions

Was at Batu pattaya hoping to get some Thai flavor but was disappointed by the Pad Thai, if they change the name to just fried rice noodles it wouldn’t set up expectation to the usual pad Thai sauce which is not present. Excessive MSG had me dying of thirst in the middle of meal and feeling nauseous, but I’m a bit sensitive to it. Other than that lovely atmosphere, good price and fried sushi roll was great.

Food was delicious, good price, and arrived fast. Presentation was great. Service was okay.

The duck dish is highly recommended, it was still delicate pink and super tasty. The vegetables would have needed another 1-2 minutes in the wok. Disadvantage: no card payment!

We went as a group of 5 people, we got this place as a recommendation to visit. We traveled from far to have food here, and then we waited for 45 minutes and we asked for menu for 3 times, then we got one and the order was not taken from us so we had to leave. I did observe that others were asked and taken orders. The thought in our head said, may be they don't like to serve other ethnic people or they might be racist. Just hoping that they have bad service. P.S The place was only 50 percent filled. Kindly tell us on face if you don't want to do any service, so that we can use this time wisely on something else we wish.

Great exception among restaurants that offer Thai, Vietnamese and sushi at the same time. The menu has surprises in store, the dishes are absolutely fresh and the ingredients are high quality. And it tastes very, very good. The best sushi in the area. The starters seem homemade, they simply taste better than anywhere else. Lots of attention to detail. Tip: Golden beef with green mango. I was asked for doneness and that's exactly what I got. Large portions, very moderate prices, interesting dishes, nice service, nice restaurant. Tables outside too.

We went to the Pattaya snack bar next to Batu Pattaya. Really wonderful for in between meals and the prices are unbeatable. The simple furnishings are suitable for a snack bar and when the temperatures are warm you can also sit outside. Since the place is very popular, additional tables and benches are carried outside without any problems. The ambience is therefore very lively in the middle of the street life on Gleimstrasse. However, my companion wasn't particularly happy with the Padthai/Phat Thai because the sauce tasted a lot like ketchup. However, I was very happy with summer rolls and chicken in garlic sauce. You shouldn't miss this place ;)

HANDS OFF!!! Don't eat there!!! Raw meat/raw meat!!! I've been a regular customer for years and I live on Gleimstr myself, but the food is getting worse and worse and yesterday it was the crowning glory - the baked chicken was simply raw. Since I don't want to put my health at risk and don't want to get sick, it was the last time I'm eating there

We were there for dinner on March 10th. 2024 in Batu Pattaya. It was soooooooo delicious. The staff was really nice. We were very satisfied and felt very comfortable. We recommend it!!! And we'll definitely be back.

I was there to pick it up and everyone who worked there was very friendly. The shop is very small and strange. he has something cozy. The prices are unbeatable. This time I only had summer rolls, but they were really good, so I'll definitely come back! Would definitely go there to eat

Super Preis-Leistung! Hatten Glück noch einen Tisch zu bekommen. Service freundlich aber definitiv reicht eine Person für Service und Bar nicht aus. Dadurch etwas längere Wartezeit bis zum Bestellen. Getränke waren okay. Essen war lecker. Seitan leider aus der Dose (kann man an der runden Form erkennen). Vorspeisen und andere Gerichte lecker. Tofu nichts besonderes. 5 Sterne wegen des Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses

Rezension für Pattaya - ist direkt nebenan... Sehr günstig und lecker. Endlich Mal ne Erdnusssauce die nicht so wässrig war 01.07.23 - auch zum mitnehmen lecker und riesige Portion 27.07.23 vor Ort - Die Pho Ga war total lecker und für 6,50€ absolut Unschlagbar.

Bei der Masse an asiatischen Fusionkitchen/ Vietnamesischen Restaurants in Berlin, mit sich immer extrem ähnelnden Gerichten, hatte ich nicht viel erwartet. Wir haben die Neo Taste App genutzt und so 2 Gerichte für den Preis von einem bekommen, doch die Preise waren auch ohne Rabatt Code sehr günstig. Wir haben einen Reisnudel Salat mit Rindfleisch und Udon Xao mit Seitan und Tofu bestellt. Der Reisnudelsalat hat mich extrem überrascht: Die gedünsteten Nudeln hatten einen sehr sanften Geschmack welchen man von einer Pho kennt, das Rind war überhaupt nicht zäh und chewy sonder hatte eine sehr angenehme zarte Konsistenz und einen kräftigen Umami Geschmack, die Kräuter wie Koriander und Frühlingszwiebelnund und die Gurke haben einen frische Kick gegeben, Erdnüsse und Röstzwiebeln haben dazu eine salzige Ergänzung gegeben. Dazu serviert wurde eine kalte Suppe welche man durch ihre salzige Knoblauch/Fischsaucen flavors perfekt zum würzen nutzen konnte. Ein wahrhaftig überraschendes und unterhaltendes Geschmackserlebnis welches man durch kombinieren der Komponenten nach Belieben abstimmen kann. Die Einrichtung und Ambiente waren auch wirklich stimmungsvoll und Konsistent in ihrem Konzept (bis auf die blauleuchtende Weihnachtsbeleuchtung welche etwas tacky war) Und der junge Man der uns bediente sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Abschließend kann ich nur sagen dass Batu Pattaya nicht nur meine Erwartungen um weiten übertroffen hat, sondern mich auch um eine sehr genüssliche und entzückte Zeit bereicherte.

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet! Uns hat es allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Was uns nicht gefallen hat, ist die Sauberkeit der Toilette. Da es nur eine gibt, muss die Sauberkeit öfters geprüft werden.

Wir kommen seit fast 4 Jahren regelmäßig zum Imbiss, z.T. auch mehrmals wöchentlich 😋👌 Riesige Auswahl an vietnamesischen/Thai Gerichten, wir haben schon viel probiert und alles hat top geschmeckt! Wir empfehlen die Nr 6 Frühlingsrollen, Pho Ga und Currys 👍 Große Portionen, frische Qualität zu mega fairen Preisen. Auch lecker: ein frischer Minz-Ingwer-Tee. Nettes Personal, dass sich freut, wenn man wiederkommt :) Innen nur begrenzter Sitzplatz, im Sommer kann man gemütlich draußen sitzen und dem Treiben folgen.

Schönes Restaurant mit sehr guter Küche. Neue Karte macht einen guten Eindruck, die Thunfischfilet Platte war supergut! Auch Suppe und Saté- Spiesse beim Kollegen waren vom Feinsten. Wer Thailändisch und/oder Sushi gerne isst, isst hier richtig!

Thai auf der Ecke Hier sitzt man vermutlich gerne draußen. Drinnen ist es schon recht kompakt und verqualmt. Das Team ackert hier ordentlich. Keiner wartet hier lange auf deine Bestellung. Respekt. Die Gerichte sind alle erwartungskonform. Keine Überraschungen nach oben und unten.

Waren dort vor Berlin Tattoo essen. Haben uns für Sushi 🍣 entschieden. War sehr gut auf einer Schieferplatte angerichtet und sehr sehr lecker 😋.
