Very tasty sushi. The prices are quite high, but it's worth it. The service was very friendly; I'll definitely come back, especially for the delicious maki rolls. It's very difficult to get a table without a reservation.

Poor value for money! The dish (duck breast with three orange fillet pieces and a teriyaki sauce) cost €19, and the rice was charged an extra €3! I've never experienced that before! After 1.5 hours, we were more or less politely escorted out; the reservation could only be made for 1.5 hours! All in all, not a restaurant worth going to!

The food was truly excellent. Unfortunately, the service, especially at this price point, left a lot to be desired. The waiters weren't particularly friendly and very inattentive. We couldn't order more drinks because no one felt responsible.

I've eaten a lot of sushi in my life, but Kuchi Kant tops everything I've seen so far. The "my best friend's roll" is a poem. The magnificent macha tiramisu rounds off a perfect meal. I'd go back anytime!

Experience September 7, 2025 • First of all: It will be very difficult to get a table without a reservation. • (+++) Quality of the products! Simply sensational. The large sashimi for €39 is justified. (++) Service very attentive and polite. • (-) The shrimp popcorn was unfortunately not as crispy as the four pieces of chicken. The taste was very, very good. Especially the crisp, fresh salad. (--) What really stands out is the space. Very, very cramped. We were at a small table. So far, so good. But the sushi bar is right next door. Then it's very cramped. • Nevertheless, a very great, upscale establishment.

Fine and delicious, but overpriced imo. It’s better for smaller groups (max 4). There’s only one large table at the back for a group larger than 6, but it doesn’t feel cozy.

What a fantastic meal at kuchi.kant. I'm still at a loss for words. Everything is just right here. Great service, beautiful ambiance, and fantastic food. We went all out and chose a menu provided by the restaurant. With the perfect sake to accompany our drinks, we were guided through the evening course by course. We didn't regret it. A big thank you goes to V. Nguyen, who was a wonderful host throughout the evening. We'll be back.

Kuchi Kantstrasse has renovated and reinvented itself at the same time. It was completely gutted, a new, light, and bright interior was installed, and a bar was installed at the entrance. A new menu reflects the direction: higher quality, more value, and also exclusive offers. Chutoro and Otoro tuna, as well as uni, are also on the menu. My personal highlight from the old menu is still available: "Okinawa Seafood Salad." Plenty of seafood, delicious sauce, and all served on a bed of lettuce. From the new menu, a Sashimi Moriawase was of outstanding quality. We will definitely order the new ribeye with chimichurri again. The dining room is small, often very busy, and reservations are worthwhile. The service is always extremely friendly. The restaurant isn't traditionally Japanese, but it's much more so now than before the renovation. It remains modern, fast-paced, and extremely popular, and can be reached in just a few minutes' walk from Ku'Damm.

I've been going to Kuchi since 2004. It's a very good place. The service is excellent, and the food is very good. Unlike most other places, Kuchi has improved over the years. I recommend visiting Kuchi instead of being disappointed elsewhere. Thanks to the team! Kuchi rocks!

We had a very good meal; everything was very fresh and delicious. The dim sum combination was a good start, and we particularly enjoyed the Vietnamese chili soup with wan tang. The waiters were very polite and helpful. I appreciated that they pointed out to us that everything is freshly prepared and takes 20 minutes, which was also stated in small print on the menu. We'd go back anytime; we're already looking forward to it.

One of my favorite restaurants in Berlin for many, many years. After the renovation last year, the menu was modernized. While maintaining what defines the restaurant, the quality has been further improved, reaching its already high level. A place where you enjoy eating; the staff is consistently super friendly and personable. The quality of all the food is of the highest standard. I couldn't really highlight anything here; just eat the menu from start to finish and be happy. I recommend reserving a table.

Yes, I gave everything 5 stars. Although - I've been going to mme for decades, and now, for the first time, the concert has been radically changed – as have the menu and the prices. It's a shame, actually – sometimes it's better that everything is "in" because it made the place big... Kuchi was that way before, too. And yes, sushi and drinks are second to none. In that regard... see you soon... or maybe not, unfortunately.

Having lived in Berlin for 11 years, I can say this was by far the best sushi we've ever had in the city. Everything is extremely fresh, perfectly executed using quality ingredients. The difference that made us decide to eat there is that they have Otoro, Japanese fatty tuna. They have several types of tuna, actually; it reminds me a lot of my Japanese sushi. Of course, being in Berlin, they have a wide selection of sushi and other vegetarian dishes. The vegetarian sushi is super creative and simply delicious. This place is highly recommended, absolutely 5 stars. It's just not cheap, obviously. So save this tip for a special day or date.

Best sushi I’ve tried in Berlin so far. Loved each type tried, but our favorite by far was the flambéed salmon and the otoro nigiri 🤤. I highly recommend trying them.

My favorite restaurant for many years. Both the ambiance and the service were always excellent. Unfortunately, on my last visit, I experienced an allergic reaction in the form of hives all over my body. It may have been an isolated incident, but I've been somewhat skeptical of the restaurant ever since. Nevertheless, I don't want to let this overshadow my many excellent visits, which is why I'm still giving it 4 stars. However, as someone with allergies, I would still proceed with caution!

The food was ok, not particularly delicious, but the quality was evident. The reason I gave it three stars was because of the fish!!! It was not handled well, extremely shriveled!!! I think this shouldn't happen in a restaurant of this price range.

The quality of the food is undoubtedly very good. However, you're "kicked out" quite quickly after your meal. The waitress came to the table and said, "Okay, I'll bring you the bill. Here comes the next reservation!" We had made a reservation, too, and the two of us spent about €130, so we spent a lot of money. The staff resemble robots programmed for sales, sales, sales. A real shame!

A truly exceptionally lovely evening! Not only was the food and service exceptionally good, but the ambiance was also impressive. Sure, it comes at a price, but you still get the feeling that the prices are fair. Especially since every dish we tried was delicious (for example, I had the best tofu of my life here). We'd go back anytime!

the male waiter (who had glasses on) had the weirdest attitude towards me and my friend, huffing when asked regarding the availability of seats, smirking repeatedly while taking the order, and getting impatient while accepting payment, not giving me a moment to actually look through the cards in the apple wallet, for some reason showing me the tablet instead. you do not look down on your guests, that’s disrespectful, period. and it was my birthday dinner too… such a strange experience, considering all the other waitresses seemed friendly and ready to help. the food was amazing though

Excellent value for money mid range sushi spot in an elegant, Japanese Marriott lounge from the 70s but make it hot setting. Fish selection is very middle of the road but execution in kitchen and service bangs.

We went there for lunch and were overall rather disappointed. While the food was tasty and of decent quality, it was served lukewarm. Furthermore, the service was unfortunately not very friendly, seeming rather aloof and slightly arrogant. Given the prices, we would have expected a higher standard of service and the temperature of the food.

Rushed, overcrowded and tasteless. I did not felt welcome nor did I enjoy my experience. I would understand the table stay of 1 hour (after which we got kicked out) if we didn’t wait too long for 1. seating 2. food and 3. the check. For a city that claims to be individualistic and different, we felt treated like robots.

Service was friendly and fast. The atmosphere was a bit cramped, but very modern and nicely decorated. The miso duck was delicious for €24. The sushi maki was good, and the inside-out maki was also very tasty. Good value for money, a bit pricey but still delicious!

We ordered various sushi starters to share and two main courses. The main courses were tasty, but overall, they weren't quite cohesive and weren't well-rounded. The sushi, on the other hand, was simply top-notch and among the best I've ever eaten. I would come back for that alone. I found the service a bit disappointing; they were more concerned with setting the table and entertaining than with attending to the customer.

Great atmosphere! The sushi is super fresh and incredibly delicious. Refreshing homemade lemonades. The beef and duck were tasty, but they didn't exceed our expectations. The service was friendly, but we lacked an explanation of the dish. Overall, though, it was a pleasant experience.

Kuchi Kant – Modern Atmosphere and Excellent Cuisine After the renovation, *Kuchi Kant* presents itself as more modern, inviting, and significantly more comfortable than before. After a short wait, we were able to take a seat at a nice table and begin our evening. For starters, we chose sushi and nasu dengaku (baked eggplant). Both dishes were excellent, but the eggplant particularly impressed us with its creamy texture and intense flavor – simply brilliant. For main courses, we each opted for fish, perfectly cooked and accompanied by excellent side dishes. The portion sizes are absolutely sufficient, so you can enjoy your meal feeling full but not overwhelmed. To finish off, the *Matcha Tiramisu* was a must – there was definitely room for it. The drinks selection was also impressive, with a great selection of wines and creative cocktails. The dishes are served quickly but unhurriedly, so the time spent at *Kuchi Kant* is rather short. The constant table turnover creates a lively atmosphere, but this is by no means disruptive. The service is very attentive and checks in regularly, making you feel completely at ease. Reservations are highly recommended, especially if you want to snag a seat at the bar and watch the sushi masters at work. If you come with a larger group, you can sample as many dishes as possible – we'll do exactly that next time!

Even after the recent renovation, the outstanding quality of the sushi hasn't changed – it's still exceptionally good and creative. The renovation has benefited the restaurant and expanded the offerings. The newly added grilled dishes are particularly noteworthy, as they are also very tasty and a great addition. A personal favorite that you should definitely try is the carbonara-style udon noodles – simply delicious! The service at Kutchi is always extremely friendly and attentive. Even when the restaurant is very busy, the team remains calm and professional. As for the atmosphere: After the renovation, the front of the restaurant can be a bit drafty. We therefore prefer the tables in the back, where it's much more pleasant. Another great option is a seat at the sushi bar, where you can watch the chefs skillfully prepare the sushi – a fascinating experience. We've been coming to Kutchi regularly for many years now and have never been disappointed. The consistent quality, friendly service, and great food ensure that we will continue to be loyal guests. Food was really nice, I had the seared Tuna Steak and it was lovely + surprisingly a decent portion size. Service is great even though we did wait a tad too long for our mains. Price is what it is but all in all a recommendation if you're looking for something semi fancy that has nice seafood.

WOW! Just WOW - I don't need to say anything more. We ate so deliciously and had a great evening. Price/performance ratio is totally right. We sat at the counter and were able to watch the sushi being prepared, which was really interesting. The pink roast duck ala main course was simply a DREAM - tender meat in a heavenly sauce 🤤. Reservation is required. Service could be more attentive but overall everything was PERFECT!

Waren beruflich unterwegs und haben hier, ohne Reservierung, nach kurzer Zeit einen Tisch bekommen. Auch dieses Mal hat Kuchi voll überzeugt. Leckere Vorspeise und die Miso-Wnte ein Traum. Gab eine Verwechslung, Thunfisch statt Ente, wurde aber anstandslos und zügig korrigiert. Immer wieder gerne.

Whenever I'm in Berlin, I go there. This time the restaurant was closed for renovations. But we were able to order to go and still sit at the only table outside. And as always, super delicious.

The Pho was ok, expensive compared to other restaurants.

We were there many years ago and it was excellent. Well: Sushi is average at best, soup worse than anywhere else, noodles tasteless, but too expensive. Service urges you to eat quickly. We were only in the restaurant for 38 minutes (starter and main course, bill 100 euros), starter and main course came almost at the same time. So I ate the main course (warm) before the starter. During the meal we were asked three times whether the uneaten plate could be taken away. After our meal we were asked 4 times every 2 minutes if we wanted to order anything else, so we ended up downing our drinks and ordering the bill.

Food is good, service is nice, shop is newly renovated...Unfortunately very crowded, loud and the wine was warm...But overall great...

I went to Kuchi Kant for the second time today and went home very happy for the second time. The restaurant is modern, despite there being a lot of guests, it is not loud due to the great acoustic design. You can have a relaxed conversation. The service is super nice and courteous, but not too intrusive. But now to the really important things… Drinks & Food: Yuzu Collins - the perfect drink for all citrus lovers. I personally love yuzu and the taste is in heaven. The drink is great, refreshing and goes wonderfully with fish Wine Funky Fish Special - velvety soft, a mixture of Riesling and Pinot Blanc. A really great wine with nice aromas, not too sour. Sushi - you should definitely eat the nigiri at Kuchi Kant. I have rarely eaten better. We had the yellowfin mackerel, flambeed salmon and medium fatty tuna belly, as well as the tuna gunkan in the first round. The yellowfin mackerel is absolutely AMAZING! Likewise, the flambéed salmon nigiri was second favorite. We then ordered the yellowfin mackerel twice more, as well as another round of flambéed salmon. We also tried the raw scallop. This was also very delicious. Really soft in consistency and great in taste. In the last round we also received tuna nigiri with the mackerel, what can I say, that was also excellent. The tuna practically fell apart in your mouth. A little dream. Last but not least, we also had the Tokyo Carbonara. I already knew the dish from my previous visit and had to order it again. This taste experience with the ham and all the other components, wow. I have already recommended the restaurant several times to my circle of friends, I will definitely come back and try my way through the nigiri menu.

Really nice interior and menu upgrade! Went for the first time after renovations- for my partners birthday. Very high level of service (knowing and congratulating bday offering a sip of bubbly as a toast). Food definitely upgraded - we ate a lot but the best one for us was the grilled mackerel, toro & unagi nigiri. Some improvement points: Spinach salad sauce was missing a bit of density in flavour I know from other restaurants and yakitori were ok but were missing a bit of real charcoal flavour. All in all another hit by Duc having worked in the business ist super hard to achieve the level of professionalism of all the restaurants on that corner and we tried it all - big thumbs up!

Friendly, simple atmosphere with very friendly service. The semi-visible kitchen is trustworthy. The menu offers a panorama of Japanese cuisine. Finely prepared vegetarian makis and very fine ramen were freshly prepared. A simple cozy atmosphere. Absolutely recommended.

The staff is super friendly and normally we don’t like Japanese fusion style but here they do a good job to mix the authentic and western style together. Sushi is very good but a bit pricy. Anyway it’s worthy unless u have a chance to go to Japan for that. Steak is my favorite and the dessert is definite a highlight for us especially the tofu yuzi one. Recommended

Just had dinner there. It is so delicious and looks very beautiful from the inside. The Japanese culture was perfectly passed on in this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and it came very quickly

I was traveling alone in Berlin and spontaneously went to Kuchi without making a reservation. Even though the store was completely full, I was warmly welcomed and allowed to sit at the bar. The very friendly bartender was allowed to choose the cocktail for me, and the nice young man from the service put together a menu for me which consisted of an appetizer in the form of delicious crispy shrimp with wasabi mayo and a mixed sushi platter. I wasn't disappointed with either the cocktail or the food. Everything tasted great and everyone in service was friendly. I was regularly asked if everything was okay or if I wanted anything else. For me, despite visiting the restaurant as an individual, it was a totally relaxed evening full of enjoyment, thanks to the entire team!

Unfortunately, the menu has been changed and, of all things, all-time classics like Fried Eggplant and Tori Don have been removed from the menu. So whoever comes for that doesn't have to do it anymore.

Incompetent? Forgetful? Uncaring? Worse? Who knows, but what is definite is that when I went the waitress insisted that I wasn't allowed to keep my expensive umbrella with me. She removed the umbrella to somewhere else in the restaurant and didn't offer it back to me when I left. As I was in a hurry and had other things on my mind, I also forgot to ask for it back. When I returned to the restaurant after the Christmas holidays the staff said they knew nothing about it and clearly couldn't care less. Despite leaving my details, I've heard nothing. Hard not to conjecture about what must have happened... If a restaurant insists on separating people from their property and taking care of it for them, then I think the restaurant should continue to take care of the property until the customer is able to reclaim it.
