Parmigiano in Köln

I've been a regular guest here for 20 years. Today was the day again. Unfortunately, the quality and price have gone in different directions. It's still a pleasant place to sit, but the pizza is very cheesy and no longer comparable to what it used to be. A shame.

Food is good, priced mid-range and service unfortunately abysmal, shop almost empty, 30 minutes no service, then went to the counter to pay and left

Unfortunately, this was a truly unpleasant visit, one I'd like to spare others from! We've been enjoying their takeaway pizza for 20 years, but the restaurant has since become a disaster – I also seriously doubt that the pizza to go will still be tasty. The tortellini alla panna we ordered (which, incidentally, was quite ambitiously priced at €17.50) was bone dry and inedible. After informing us, the waiter cleared the almost-full plate without comment. The pizza (also very expensive) had a dry, hard crust and unappealing toppings. When we asked (apparently rhetorically) if everything was okay, we gave an honest answer and received the rude response that these were the first complaints we'd had (on a Saturday evening). No apology, no offer of improvement, compensation, or even a discount, as is usually expected and expected in customer service. We paid in full and left hungry and dissatisfied. Presumably, one-time tourists are enough to make money, and they make no effort to encourage people to return. I enjoy eating out often, but I've rarely experienced such concentrated unfriendliness, arrogance, and lack of customer service!

Visited it for a fust lunch during our walk in Cologne. Outside tables located in a nice quiet courtyard and the service was good. Pizza was ok, can't say something special about it, not the best and not the worst in my experience. Coffee was too over-roasted to my taste.

Was very satisfied with the pasta

The waiter's service was absolutely awful. First, he brought us water and simply slammed it down on the table. He didn't even open it or pour it. The same went for the main course. I truly respect and love Italian cuisine, but this kind of waiter is destroying the reputation of the entire Italian nation. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Went here in the evening with family, at first everything seemed okay, but then my sister in law found a used bandaid in her food. Which is a health code violation, basically. No amount of offered free food or discounts would change the fact that she had a mouthful of a bandaid with her cannelloni...

The pizza was so delicious that we forgot to take a picture. Highly recommended.

The food was great! Both the quality and the portion size were very good. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Cologne!

My most favourite pizza in Cologne 🍕😍

The food was delicious, a bit pricey, but well worth it. We had a Margherita pizza, a Caprese salad, and Bruschetta. Everything was as fresh as it was delicious. The dishes are handcrafted and tasted wonderful. We really enjoyed the terrace behind the restaurant. It was a nice escape from the hustle and bustle, and the beer was wonderfully cold. An Allgäuer beer on tap. The service was fast and helpful. They immediately offered to make a smaller "children's pizza" for our 5-year-old daughter. It was still too big for her, but Dad didn't mind ;)

For us, the best Italian restaurant in Cologne. Whenever we're there, we always enjoy it 👌

This place serves the best pizzas and pastas I've ever had. I can say this with complete confidence. My favorite of the pastas was the one with sauce, minced meat, and cheese. For pizza, the Miesto is a great option for those who like a lot of toppings. The cocktails were also incredible. We got different ones every time we went. The staff are so sweet and friendly. One time, we were right before closing time, but no one pressured us by saying they were closing. Even though we left after closing time, the staff greeted us with smiles. I will definitely be back.

The food was okay, not the best weve had but pretty good. Unfortunately it didn't feel like they were very honest. The waiter brought out something we told him we didn't want (perhaps due to language barrier) and instead of fixing the problem he said he ordered it and still charged us. We've been traveling for over a week and had zero issues like this at any other establishment. I wouldn't recommend.

The restaurant itself is small and old school cozy, it has a backyard where you can sit outside and enjoy a peaceful meal. Staff is friendly, too :) we didn't have many interactions as they seemed to be more reserved. The pizza was okay-ish. The dough wasn't fresh or homemade (it tasted store-bought). It wasn't crispy and fluffy but rather crunchy and hard. The cheese tasted like supermarket Gouda cheese, not mozzarella. I've definitely had better pizza, but it is okay if you don't have high expectations

Always delicious, super friendly service. The backyard with its terrace isn't what you'd expect. The short detour to stop in is always worth it. The prices are reasonable; typical Cologne Old Town prices...

We ordered three pizzas to take away: Margarita, Mushroom, and Spinach. Unfortunately, all of them were disappointing – much too small for the price, absolutely bland in taste, and overall poor quality. We expected much more for the price. We wouldn't recommend it.

Cute little restaurant that didn't really seem to be in Italian hands. If the combination of "food not great", "not good service" and "we clean the tables with a rag left on the dirty trash can" is ignored, it's pretty nice. It's a shame for the cute location. You could actually do something very nice with this. In any case, the price-performance ratio is not right. By the way, we are not “old people” who just like to complain, but rather a young group that is actually very relaxed.

Spontaneously visited this Italian restaurant. The terrace and the place in the sun were very nice, but the food and service were not. The ladies weren't allowed to try the bottled wine in advance, the open rose they ordered didn't taste good at all and couldn't be exchanged. The waitress denied the request quite rudely. The food (starter plate, gnocchi, cannelloni, pizza) was completely unseasoned (I've never had to add salt to a pizza). After we answered the question whether it was tasty, the waitress went back without comment. The fact that my friends invited me here for a birthday dinner is irrelevant in this context; the Kölsch was delicious and cold doesn't make things any better.

We have always been very enthusiastic about our visits over the last few years. But our visit last weekend was very disappointing. It is assumed that when the beer garden is opened for the session everything will be cleaned. That wasn't the case. The prices have gone way up. And the icing on the cake was worms in broccoli. The excuse was that it was frozen broccoli. Which added to the disappointment. Really a shame. Please don't lose your authentic Italian style. It would really be a shame. P.s We live in Germany. I don't think the menu is only in English. At least in German and ideally in Italian. However, if you only want to earn your money from tourists, that's fine. We won't be coming back for a while

This place never disappoints — hands down my favorite pizza spot! I absolutely love the flavor here, especially the way they drizzle that garlic sauce on top. Just takes it to the next level every single time.

The pizzas are mega and taste very good, but the prices have slowly reached their maximum.

The queue in front of the pizza to go window suggests that the pizza is of course great, but not only that, if you walk through the restaurant you will find a wonderful, romantic terrace! I had pasta and it was great and the portion was really generous! In addition to the ticket, there was also a season ticket. We would love to come back!!

A special experience for the whole family – provided they love animals. At first everything goes as usual: you are invited in, assigned a table and served your drinks. So far, so normal. But as soon as you let your gaze wander through the restaurant, you quickly discover the actual residents: a family of mice that happily scurry around above and under the benches. The rather mediocre food did the rest - with unpleasant consequences. My companion was rewarded with severe stomach cramps. Unfortunately, given the obvious hygienic conditions in this store, this is hardly surprising. Conclusion: apart from the local food inspectors, I cannot in good conscience recommend a visit to anyone.

The two of us wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. This restaurant offers pizza to go. Since we were out for a long time and wanted to warm up, we asked for a table for two and got one straight away. The space is used optimally but immediately in the entrance area. We sat comfortably on a sofa bench. For me personally, because I spontaneously wanted to eat there, it was ok. We shared a pizza and it was served with 2 oily sauces. They were awesome with the pizza. Every restaurant should have it. Delicious. Pizza top. Restaurant hidden in an alley, like in Italy.

Their pizzas are delicious. Portions are big. We especially liked the Penne Arabiatta and onion soup.

We enjoyed the food which was great quality. The staff weren't the friendliest. Good little place if you want some decent pasta and pizza. We couldn't finish our meals as we were stuffed!

Had dinner there yesterday. The restaurant is a bit chaotic and cramped. But the food is awesome. There seem to be no or very few finished products here. Our starters and main courses were all fresh and consistently delicious. We went back to the hotel full and satisfied.

I ordered the cannelloni and my cousin ordered the spaghetti gambini. Both were okay, felt like it was missing something. Service was not good, they didn’t come check in on us or ask if we wanted dessert or espresso. I am not expecting North American level service but at least ask if I want dessert and don’t glare at me while I eat, this is not an Italian owned restaurant. Vibes was cute tho.

We used to love going here again and again. Pizza was delicious, wine was excellent, service was attentive. Unfortunately, that was no longer the case on our last visit. The pizza was barely edible. The dough was extremely thick and not crispy. The prices have also been increased considerably. We were last there with 9 people. Everyone who ordered pizza confirmed that it was a disgrace. Very nice: the outdoor dining in the inner courtyard.

The food was super tasty and came quickly. The restaurant is very cozy and the service was nice. Unfortunately there is a 2 star deduction because of a really outrageous price: We ordered a very small portion of pasta with butter for our little daughter (1.5) and pointed out again that she really doesn't eat much. The noodles came too, but they charged €10 for them! That's really outrageous, it's a shame.

Noisy crowded pizzeria. Just a few noodles for a toddler wasn't possible. The children's plate with just pasta and nutter sauce was then charged at 10 euros. They won't see me again.

This restaurant is ideal for a quick pizza, even later in the evening. Classic pizzeria with a somewhat dated interior. They are not culinary delights, but simply a well-filled pizza with a fairly thick base. With lots of cheese. Assailant: the garlic and chili oil that is served at the table and that you can put on yourself. There is also a wide choice of pasta dishes.

Simply great. Great, I can only recommend it.

Still my favorite Italian restaurant in Cologne, unfortunately on the wrong side of the Rhine otherwise I would be here more often. So it always remains a special visit. The food is always of high quality and simply very tasty. It's rare that I don't have to add seasoning. I also like to recommend him to friends and business partners. Small, fine shop and, in summer, a sweet beer garden, off the beaten path and yet right in the middle of it all. Today we had bruschetta with rocket and parmesan as a starter, followed by delicious cannelloni and spaghetti carbonara to accompany it. Yummi :-)

Parmigiano und Pinocchio gehören dem gleichen Betreiber. Wenn man sitzen möchte, ist das Ristorante die richtige Wahl, Pizzen können aber auch zum Mitnehmen draußen gekauft werden. So kann man diese bei schönem Wetter am Rhein verzehren. Beides sehr lecker.

We sat on the quiet back patio in the shade. My husband liked his gnocchi with salmon, and I liked my fish soup that had 1 huge mussel, lots of shrimp, and some tender salmon, plus delicious garlic toasts for dipping in the soup. More herbs in the soup would improve it. Service was fine.

Pizzas spectacular! Sat on the terrace in the inner courtyard, comfortably away from the hustle and bustle of the Heumarkt. Bruschetta was great and the service was very attentive! Liked how the staff are with each other too. Don't be alarmed, sometimes little mice scurry across the area and under the tables. We then had our things packed up and ate at the hotel.

It is advertised as the best pizza in Cologne's old town and I can only confirm that. But the salads etc. are also highly recommended. We always felt comfortable and everyone always enjoyed it.

Delicious Italian in a quiet square just off from the more busy streets of Köln. The food was very tasty and arrived very quickly. My only slight point of improvement would be if both dishes could be served at the same time, but that being said there was only around 3-4 minutes inbetween.

One star goes to the kitchen. Really delicious pizza after it was there at some point. Otherwise not recommended at all. Service and organization still have a lot of potential for expansion. We had already reserved a table for 7 people in the backyard two days in advance. When we arrived, we couldn't remember it. One waiter said we could sit in pairs at individual tables, the other said we should go inside and the next one prepared the tables together outside. After that there were probably no longer enough menus (there were about 30 people in the restaurant at the time, most of whom had already had their food). We were then asked to try it via the online menu. When we took the order, individual dishes were no longer available, but only those that were on the Papierhafen menu (which apparently were no longer available to us at the moment). We then waited about 15 minutes for the drinks and another 45 minutes for 6 pizzas. The 7 pizza came again 20 minutes later for the last person of us. The communication between the service staff, apart from their unfriendliness and annoyance towards the guest, doesn't seem to be right at all.

One star for the chef and minus 5 stars for the service. The table reservation was not registered, after a long wait it was possible to get a table. We waited almost 1.5 hours for the food. There were 7 of us in total, one person didn't get the food he ordered. Avoid this restaurant!!!!!

Had a spontaneous meal there yesterday after the musical at 11 p.m. (gnocchi al pomodoro and tortellini con broccoli), it was really tasty and quick. Friendly host, would be happy to come back next time you visit Cologne late at night.

Nice authentic Italian with a large menu, good dishes and nice staff. On the terrace you can sit comfortably and quietly away from the hustle and bustle of the old town.

The gentleman who sells the pizzas to take away has zero interest in customers or people. On the phone all the time (whenever you are there). You have to find such an unsympathetic person first. But food is great

Klein und fast zu übersehen in dem Gewimmel von teils auch richtigen Touri-kneipen findet man dieses Kleinod, gute Pasta, knusprige Pizza, auch Fleisch und Fisch ist auf der Karte, nettes Lokal, nicht zu laut und es gibt eine schöne kleine Terasse hintenraus im Hof. Pizza ist sehr zu empfehlen, Kölsch und italienisches Bier - perfekt. Immer gern wieder.

Ample seating inside and outside. Right in the middle of a German town is this completely authentic Italian restaurant. Reminds me of our trip to Italy. Food was fantastic and hit the spot. Everyone spoke English and had English on menu. Servers were friendly and responsive for the amount of people at the restaurant. We had an early dinner and the crowd grew as the night progressed. We were the only family eating inside during our visit (our choice) and yet we didn't feel ignored.

It was our first time there and visiting Cologne. The service was very friendly and the pizzas were great. I thought the prices were justified for such a delicious pizza.

Delicious Italian in Köln! My meat cannelloni was incredible (and super hot!), my coworkers spaghetti carbonara was also great! Good bread too. The service can be a little slow though, but there was a large group sitting behind us which likely contributed to this.

Das ist mein Lielingsitaliener in Köln und es ist immer hervorragend. Pizzen werden zur Straße hin verkauft zum Mitnehmen, es gibt aber auch ein Ristorante mit Terrasse. Wir waren am Wochenende da, es war voll und der Kellner meinte, es könnte etwas dauern, Pizzen kamen aber nach 10 Minuten. Bedienung sehr nett und Preise sind auch annehmbar.

Good Italian cuisine, nice restaurant, however some members of the staff speak poor English, in addition we were charged 54 cents more per person because the waitress did not want to do a division by 3 at the head and despite the fact of having carried out calculation on the phone...

Very nice Italian restaurant, small but very cozy. Pizza Capriciosa was delicious, rich in toppings and exactly to my taste. Friendly staff, prices reasonable... recommended!!!

Very nice Italian restaurant with super delicious food. We were there in a larger group with a really short notice reservation. All dishes came to the table very quickly and fresh so that everyone could eat together. The service was really great and very friendly. Gladly again!

Wir haben das Restaurant spontan entdeckt, die Speisekarte sah sehr gut aus. Leider wurden wir bitter enttäuscht. Das Personal war unfassbar unfreundlich. Meine Freundin ist laktoseintolerant und hatte daher eine Nachfrage bzgl. eines Gerichts. Der Kellner war direkt super genervt und meinte er wolle jetzt nicht extra nach oben laufen um den Koch zu fragen, und sagte weiter „Hör mal- such dir halt was anderes aus!“ Als ich dann sagte dass ich das nicht in Ordnung finde, ging er wortlos weg, lies uns da einfach sitzen und anschließend kam eine Kollegin. Viel Beachtung schenkte man uns danach nicht mehr. Sehr sehr enttäuschend!
