I went to book a table for two this evening. They had left a menu on a small desk at the entrance. I was reading. One person of the restaurant has suddently taken away the menu with rudness and impolitness. I am then judging the food but the rudness and unfriendliness of their personnel. He was italian. Shame on you. We are much more polites in Italy

Very tasty Italian Mediterranean cuisine with a very friendly italo style atmosphere. Preferably more for special occasions. Any time.

We came to this restaurant with great expectations and were unfortunately disappointed on every level. The food is rather below average. Nothing special. There is nothing authentically Italian if (according to the waiter) the carbonara is made with cream. My pasta sauce barely had any flavor. No spices whatsoever. The pizza is not crispy at all, the cheese tastes very cheap, so the whole dish tastes like nothing. The consistency of the dough is just sticky. The price is clearly too high for that. This especially applies to drinks. 8€ for a bottle of water that costs 4-6€ in any other place. The waiters run past you all the time. I was really stressed while eating because this stress was also conveyed by the staff. There's probably a certain lack of organization there. The number of guests has no explanation given that there are so many staff. You have to speak to 3-4 waiters, who then all ignore you or say "no time" until you can express your concerns. It's incredibly loud, so much so that you have to shout over to your companion at the table. Conversation is hardly possible. Unfortunately we won't be coming back. I would even go so far as to say it was one of my worst restaurant experiences in Cologne. Unfortunately, I absolutely don't understand all the positive comments and the romanticization (especially by seemingly regular guests). _________________ Regarding your answer: 1. I asked your waiter if this was made with cream. He told us, "Of course, with cream. It doesn't taste good without it either. Either order with it or something else." So I ordered something else. So your employees are not familiar with the courts? If you were to read the comments instead of directly attacking and accusing your guests of lying, you would have seen that just a few months ago another guest was served carbonara with cream. (Last time even 1 month ago). It's unbelievable how people can lie about ingredients. 2. You can write reviews a few days after the visit, or even months afterwards. You can probably see your dishes in the photo. By the way, we were there on Saturday. I can upload the receipt. 3. I find it shocking how unobjectively you deal with criticism and show no competence or ambition to improve the visit for your guests. In fact, with your passive aggressive response, you only confirmed the impression about this restaurant. I think this gives future visitors a good insight into the hospitality at your establishment. I actually enjoy writing reviews, which is exactly what the platform is for. This also gives me a good comparison to other restaurants. If you can't handle it and instead have to stalk my profile and spread false (even criminal) accusations to feel better, then unfortunately that's your problem.

Not very cheap, but great quality and very tasty. The service is also great, you feel welcome.

A local classic and one of the most popular Italian restaurants in the area. This is mainly due to the friendly atmosphere, great service, variety of dishes and the expanding floor plan, including a beautiful terrace in the back. They also have ample parking space there. Food is solid, but nothing to write home about, especially for an Italian place in Cologne. Prices have increased a bit too much in the past years in relation to the overall experience.

I was very happy when I was there 2 years ago, but yesterday we and our guests were treated rudely. Despite all my kindness to them, some of them were too rude to treat a woman, let alone a customer. Because I was completely blind and we accidentally bumped into a waiter. The coffee in his hand spilled a little, I politely apologized, but I was looked at angrily for it. This is so embarrassing, I hope it has nothing to do with my race. Because that is unacceptable to me. Despite everything, I wish you all the best.

Nice place but with too much decoration

Disastrous and disrespectful employee. I will never enter this store again. Based on previous reviews, I'm probably not the only one who has had a bad experience with the service. Never again.

Clearly room for improvement We were very lucky because we got a place for the Italy game 2 hours before the game started and we were very happy. Once we were there, we knew why we got a spot. Nobody was interested in this game, neither the guests nor the service. The food was mediocre. We've eaten much, much better in Cologne many times - all tables were supposed to be reserved - but when we left, these tables were still not occupied. At around 7:00 p.m. the Lindenthaler Hot Volet arrived and then the service only had an eye for them. This doesn't have to happen again.

Typically Cologne... a little loud, a little cramped... food used to be better, but still good... if you like Italian lively with local color, this is the place for you.

One of the best Italians in the west of Cologne. The selection is great and there are always exciting dishes on the daily menu. Service is also very good and knows every dish. It's very nice to sit in and feels a bit like you're in Italy. Not cheap but fair for the quality. We always enjoy coming back, so we definitely recommend it!

Very good and tasty restaurant on Dürener Straße. A great fresh food counter with antipasti and maritime delicacies. The pizza is really Italian and impresses with its delicious taste. The prices are normal for Lindenthal and the quality does justice to the prices.

Unfortunately I ate spaghetti carbonara with cream here. I thought that would be a mortal sin for an Italian. So I was disappointed and the carbonara reminded me of my time in the student dormitory. Service was very friendly and attentive.

If you want good, fresh food, Culinarius in Cologne is your choice. Here you get a changing menu with absolutely fresh dishes. There were different bread variations with olive oil in advance.😍 I had Iberico Krone with spinach and potatoes, simply delicious. For dessert there was Zuppa Inglese, a dream. The prices are a little higher but more than fair for what you get. The service was great, always quick to say and very accommodating! Absolute recommendation.

That was ok, but not really great either: the egg in the carbonara was set, so I basically had scrambled eggs with noodles in it. My own at home are better.

We wanted to go out for a nice meal in Cologne in the evening. We tested our options via Google and this restaurant was considered an insider tip. We were also lucky to get two more places. We were absolutely not disappointed. Great ambience, great crowd, great staff and fantastic food. It was a successful evening.

Food 10/10 Staff 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 We ate there after a tiring day and had to admit that it really made our day. For the first time in years we were served delicious food. As a starter we had a salad, which we really enjoyed, even if it was a bit overpriced for a salad. But it was more than delicious, just like the food and the tiramisu we had at the end. I can only recommend it and thank the staff again.

A great restaurant. Staff = top Food = top The staff is very attentive, friendly and very professional. We placed an order (starter and main course) for 5 people, the waiter didn't make a note of anything, despite extra requests, and everything was right when it was served. Big props for that performance. A negative point that every restaurant actually has is that it is very loud at times. But that didn't detract from the quality of this house. Culinarius is definitely highly recommended.

We've been there several times and left a lot of small tips, it's a minor matter, but what I can't understand is that they call at lunchtime because we wanted to come over in the evening. We were told on the phone that the kitchen would be open until 11 p.m., of course that's fine It was also assumed that we were in front of the restaurant at 10:30 p.m. and we were turned out even though something like that was discussed on the phone, but oh well As a regular customer, I simply wouldn't have expected something like that

Because of the holiday, we called specifically to find out how long the kitchen would be open. We were told on the phone that it would be open until 11pm. However, when we arrived at 10:30 p.m., we were immediately turned away at the door because the kitchen had closed early due to the holiday. When we mentioned that we had called specifically, the only answer was: "Oh, didn't the colleague tell you that?" I haven't experienced anything so unprofessional in a long time. If you don't feel like working, you can tell us in advance and we would have saved the trip from Düsseldorf.

I came to Culinarius as part of an event. The restaurant is significantly larger than you would think from the outside. First you walk past a counter where many appetizers are laid out. To the rear is a beautiful winter garden with a great ambience. However, it got very loud when all the tables were occupied. The selection of dishes is large and everyone should find something. We had a mixed starter plate and fish as the main course. To be honest, I wasn't impressed with the appetizer platter. My expectations were significantly higher. The fish with the shrimp was great. The service could also be improved. We wanted to order drinks several times, but the many waiters were busy with themselves.

The waiters are friendly, but the place is very crowded and loud, the dishes are just average and therefore overpriced in comparison. There were 5 of us there and no one was really happy with their food and everyone paid around €40. So unfortunately it's not for me.

It's just a local that's always well attended. Seen in light of the gastronomic performance, there isn't much worth mentioning. There are dozens of this quality in Cologne. But who needs it!

Never had to deal with such an unfriendly waiter. There was a hair in the pizza I ordered. This would be received very unkindly. We were treated condescendingly from the first second. There was body shaming -> when a new mother ordered a Pepsi Zero, it was served with the comment: You wouldn't lose weight with Pepsi Zero. The can of parmesan was simply thrown on the table. Furthermore, the waiter complained that we were "Sicilian" and therefore apparently couldn't behave well. Furthermore, the garlic in the penne all' arrabiatta was completely burnt and bitter, making the pasta inedible. When we asked for new service, we were not taken seriously. We had the feeling we weren't being treated like guests, but like animals. Once and never again.

Here you can experience Italy with all your senses. The food is excellent, the same goes for the service. Everything with Italian charm.

Wir kamen am frühen Nachmittag ohne Reservierung in ein recht volles Restaurant. In dem recht wuseligen, lautem und teuren Lokal wurde uns ein Tisch im hinteren Bereich zugewiesen. Der vordere Bereich mit Hochtischen ist wohl den Stammgästen vorbehalten! Wir bestellten Pasta und Fisch von der Mittagskarte. Beides überzeugte uns nicht in vollem Umfang. Insgesamt passen hier eigener Anspruch und Wirklichkeit nicht zusammen NEIN, wir kommen nicht wieder.

The Culinarius is simply an institution in Lindenthal. You either love it or you hate it. I love it in any case - I think the best thing is convivial lunches at one of the high tables, accompanied by a perfectly chilled white wine. I usually prefer a pizza that is reliably very good there. The prices were always very ambitious and have now, in 2024, made a significant jump. The restaurant is slowly moving into a price range that you can't or don't want to afford.

This restaurant gets 5 stars from me in all categories. For me the food was perfect Italian cuisine, the whole thing in a mix of Italy and Cologne so that you don't have to choose if you want both, the service was super attentive and nice. We will come back!

We have been regular guests at the restaurant for more than 20 years. During this time, things didn't always go smoothly here and there, but that happens sometimes. But last night was more than unpleasant. We ordered a table for 2 a week before and stressed that we didn't want to sit at the counter. However, despite having a reservation, we were told at the beginning that nothing was available, only at the counter. That was out of the question and we were seated at a table right next to the counter passage with a view of the trash cans. We know that it is always very loud in the restaurant, but it was extremely noisy there because this was the waiters' contact point and, directly in front of our table, crates of drinks were banged together so loudly and bottles were thrown into the trash can several times that we both constantly We were really startled and we had the impression that they wanted to get rid of us. The waiter was very arrogant, when asked about sauces or ingredients he answered in an annoyed, curt and condescending manner, which was more than unpleasant for us as allergy sufferers. The wine ordered was only filled below the calibration mark. The pizza was dry, tasteless and burnt. We accepted it because we felt like we were more than unwanted. We weren't asked if we wanted to drink anything even though our glasses were empty; other guests were served much more courteously. We didn't want to cause any further inconvenience with our apparently unwanted presence and left the restaurant much earlier than planned. We would have loved to have another dessert and a bottle or two of wine, but not under these unreasonable circumstances. In addition, the whole situation was so upsetting to us that we felt sick while we were still in the restaurant. We were really looking forward to a nice evening, but apparently our money isn't worth anything in this restaurant. Very unfortunate

Essen war ganz gut, wir hatten aber einen Kellner, der im Laufe des Abends immer betrunkener wurde und nichts mehr auf die Reihe bekam, Bestellungen wurden vergessen, der Nachtisch wurde auf verschmierten Tellern serviert, da er mit mehreren Tellern nicht mehr zurecht kam. Die Kellner Kollegen waren amüsiert, wir weniger. Keine Empfehlung für ein hochpreisiges Restaurant

The food was excellent. We chose mixed antipasti from the seafood buffet and fish and mussels as main courses. Everything was a highlight in terms of quality, appearance and taste. Unfortunately, the dessert was just average in comparison, but only in comparison.

Nice atmosphere. My first pesto with potatoes and beans. Very confusing. The seasoning is relatively boring. Service tried hard. There was no time to ask if it tasted good.

Pizzen und pasta waren gut, unaufmerksames personal-weinbestellung kam, aufgrund fehlinterpration, nach dem essen. Bei uns gab es kein limoncello aufs haus ;o)-hätte man, bei der höhe der rechnung, machen können.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und italienisch authentisch. Bisschen teuer.

Tiramisu Tradizionale(so stehs in der Karte): ohne Mascarpone, ohne Amaretto, ohne Löffelbiscuit. Geht leider garnicht, deswegen war das Dessert sehr enttäuschend allgemein würde ich die ganze Dessert Karte neu bearbeiten oder zumindest nicht Tradizionale schreiben da es einfach nicht stimmt. Das Essen muss ich sagen wahr fantastisch. Der Kellner war sehr sympathisch und hat gute Laune verbreitet. Großes Lob. Limoncello gab's auf Haus, gut wir haben auch ne riesen Summe da gelassen:)! Ansonsten ist das Restaurant sehr lebhaft und laut.

Sehr schöner Aussenbereich. Essen klasse. Weine und Prosecco gute Auswahl. Viele Kellner. Immer freundlich. Essen ist sehr gut. Besonders auch das Brot, welches gereicht wird. Wir wollten um 21:40 noch auf ein Bier hierher kommen und wurden vom Service unfreundlich daraufhin gewiesen, dass es sich um ein "Speiselokal" handelt. Schade!

Einfach Italien pur. Klasse Service, hervorragendes Essen und super Weine. Wir waren spontan zum ersten Mal da und sind total begeistert. Besonderes Lob verdient Stefano, der uns den ganzen Abend perfekt bedient hat. Seine besondere Empfehlung hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt, sowohl der Wein wie auch die Pasta. Wir waren das 1. Mal dort und waren begeistert. Tolle Atmosphäre, super netter Service und das Essen war super lecker. Alles frisch zubereitet und wirklich richtig gut 👍. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder.

Essen war in Ordnung. Der Kellner bis zum Schluss eigentlich auch, außer bis ich nach demTrinkgeld gefragt worden bin! Ich finde es gehört sich nicht mich zu fragen, ob ich nicht was vergessen habe(das Trinkgeld). Das Ambiente ist sehr laut. Unterm Strich, ist es ein durchschnittlicher Italiener nichts außergewöhnliches, für das Klientel in Köln Lindenthal reicht es aber. Für mich als Italiener ehr nicht.

Uns hat es hier wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, lustig, sympathisch und arbeitet zügig, ohne Hektik zu verbreiten. Das Essen ist ausgesprochen gut und sehr ansehnlich hergerichtet. Das Ambiente passt dazu sehr gut, wir haben hinten durch gesessen. Klare Empfehlung.

Wie versprochen ich bin wieder gekommen. Und wieder war das essen sehr lecker! Witzig ist nur das ich nix bekommen habe was ich bestellt habe. die Spagetti scampi waren der Hammer und ich musste sie nehmen weil ich ansonsten verhungert wäre😜 ! Mega lecker frischer Knoblauch aldente Nudeln. Fein gewürzt. 🤔 lag definitiv an der Sonne und an der Hitze, schließlich muss man erst mal wieder rein kommen nach dem Urlaub. Ihr seit schon verrückt! Aber Achtung , Nicht alle gehen damit so um wie ich …

Immer ein sehr solider Italiener mit sehr gutem und anständigem Service. Ebenso kann ich das Mittagsmenü oder die Antipasti-Theke empfehlen. Gutes und anständiges Essen!

Bester Italiener in town 🫶🏽 In tollem Ambiente gefühlt ein einziges Gewusel und gleichzeitig so unglaublich gemütlich. Das Essen ist fantastisch und der Service top! Liebs!

Einfach ein guter Italiener mit gemütlicher Atmosphäre und netten Kellnern. Der große Wintergarten Bereich aber auch die Außenterrasse laden zum Verweilen ein. Saisonale Nudel-, Fleisch- und Fischgerichte und sonstige Leckereien sind auf den Kreidetafeln an den Wänden angeschlagen. Besondere Spezialität sind die unterschiedlichen Pappardelle Variationen und die Fischgerichte. Hier sollte jeder etwas finden. Ein großer Vorzug ist auch der Parkplatz hinter dem Lokal. Die Einfahrt befindet sich etwas versteckt in der Seitenstraße.

Mindestens doppelt so viele Sterne für Stefano. Wie immer lecker und ein schöne Erholung vom Alltag. Wir kommen nächsten Donnerstag wieder und futtern uns weiter durch die Karte😉Wir freuen uns schon drauf☺️☺️☺️

War gestern Abend mit einer langjährigen Freundin bei Culinarius. Sie meinte „wie konntest du mir so lange dieses Restaurant vorenthalten?“Restlose Begeisterung über Qualität und Präsentation der Speisen. Es war ein megaschöner, stimmungsvoller Abend mit lustigen Momenten. Jeder Kellner ist auf seine Art der Knaller. Ich mag Culinarius sehr. Bleibt so.
