Parkbad Süd in Castrop-Rauxel

Wir feierten dort einen Geburtstag. Das Buffet war super und die Damen vom Service sehr freundlich.

Wir haben hier ein schönes Fest gefeiert.

Feine Küche, Ambiente im alten Parkbank mit viel Humor und dann "Harald and Maude" vom WLT I'm alten Schwimmbecken.

Grosse Feier, aber zuwenig Bedienung

Für Bühneraus (WLT) gut geeignet.

Lokal in nostalgischen Ambiente. Ein altes Freibad wurde zum Restaurant. Küchenchefin mit Auszeichnung.

Ich gebe gerne Geld für gute Getränke aus. Aber 9 Euro für einen Cocktail (Großes Glas nur mit Eis gefüllt und ein Schluck Alkohol) geht gar nicht. Enttäuschung pur:-(

Das Beste waren die ausgesprochen freundlichen und zuvorkommend Kellnerinnen. Das Ambiente wenig passend für eine Kommunion und sehr nüchtern. Das Essen war nur lauwarm und außer der Ochsenbäckchen, die lecker waren, war Alles geschmacklich nicht gut, der Spargel nicht gar, das andere Gemüse teilweise schwarz, Kartoffeln und Spätzle salzlos und die Sauce Hollandaise war aus der Packung, der Lachs etwas verkocht aber geschmacklich gut. Das Nockerl in der Consumme zu fest. Die Dips zum Brot waren okay. Die Wartezeit zwischen den einzelnen Gängen sehr lang. Sorry!!! Die Aussenanlage im Sommer bestimmt sehr schön!!!

Wir haben die Kommunion unseres Sohnes bei uns zu Hause gefeiert und wurden dabei vom Parkbad Süd begleitet – und sind äußerst zufrieden! Von der Planung bis zur Umsetzung lief alles unkompliziert und zuverlässig. Service, Equipment und Essen waren top organisiert und das Essen hat all unseren Gästen sehr gut geschmeckt. Ein besonderer Dank geht an Marlen und Hanna für die herzliche und engagierte Unterstützung. Wir können das Parkbad Süd unbedingt weiterempfehlen – vielen Dank an das gesamte Team!

Wir habe letzte Woche im Parkbad Süd den 60igsten Geburtstag von meinem Mann gefeiert. Es hat einfach alle gepasst. Das Essen war mega und alle unsere Gäste waren super begeistert. Wir haben am Samstag einen wunderschönen Abend im Restaurant Parkbad Süd in Castrop-Rauxel verbracht. Neben dem besonderen Ambiente eines ehemaligen Schwimmbads, das sich geschmackvoll und stilsicher in ein modernes und gemütliches Restaurant verwandeln durfte fiel uns zuerst der zuvorkommende und sehr herzliche Service auf. Diesem stand dann im Anschluss das sehr leckere und frisch zubereitete Menü in keiner Weise nach. Dazu tranken wir unterschiedliche Weine, die im Vorfeld probiert werden durften und deshalb unseren Geschmack vollkommen getroffen haben. …das Ganze zu einem sehr angemessenen Preis! Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Tolles Ambiente, zum Teil sehr leckere Speisen. Auch für größere Feiern buchbar. Hierbei dann ein wenig Geduld und Improvisationsbereitschaft mitbringen. Mehr Parkplätze direkt am Restaurant wären schön. Vermutlich wegen Denkmalschutz nicht anders möglich. Bei Clash verschiedener Besucher (Restaurantbesucher, 2 sich kreuzende Gruppen) fehlt jemand, der den Überblick behält und für ruhige, geordnete Ankunft sowie Abreise sorgt, ohne dass Stress entsteht.

Wir haben am 24.01. einen runden Geburtstag mit 40 Gästen im Parkbad Süd gefeiert. Sowohl das Ambiente, als auch das Essen und der Service waren außergewöhnlich gut. Unsere Gäste und wir Haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Frau Kempf hat uns hinsichtlich der Speisen, Getränke und der Organisation sehr gut beraten, so dass die Feier ein voller Erfolg war. Wir sind auch sehr gerne im Restaurant und werden sicher wiederkommen.

Wir waren in familiärer Runde am 2. Weihnachtsfeiertag zum Mittagessen im Parkbad Süd. Der Tisch war total schön und festlich gedeckt und bei der tollen Karte konnten wir uns nur schwer entscheiden. Alles hat wunderbar geschmeckt, toll abgestimmt und das Fleisch war bei allen perfekt. Marlen und ihr Team (Kathrin und Nina) haben uns herzlich empfangen und einen angenehmen Service geboten. Für uns war dies der zweite Feiertagsbesuch und es ist eine neue Tradition entstanden. Wir freuen uns aufs nächste Jahr!

Advents Kaffee Trinken mit selbst hergestellten Kuchen vom Buffet, sehr lecker und abwechslungsreiche Auswahl.

Kleiner Tipp, ich mag Unagi-Sauce.

Ein wirklich außergewöhnliches Restaurant! Die Lokation ist etwas ganz Besonderes – stilvoll, einladend und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Der Service war durchweg freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu wirken. Die Speisekarte ist abwechslungsreich und gut durchdacht, sodass sowohl Klassiker als auch kreative Gerichte zu finden sind. Und das Wichtigste: Das Essen war hervorragend – frisch, geschmackvoll und wunderschön angerichtet. Ein rundum stimmiges Erlebnis, das ich nur weiterempfehlen kann. Ich komme definitiv wieder!

Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, nette Bedienung

Wirklich eine tolle Location, schön und liebevoll eingerichtet, tolle Tisch Dekoration, dieser Ort hat was. Freundliche Bedienung, feine übersichtliche Speisekarte, nicht günstig doch die Qualität hat ihren Preis und ist Super, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Nachdem wir schon öfter zum Menü-Karrusell ins Parkbad wollten, es bislang jedoch noch nicht geschafft hatten, waren wir Sonntag mittag zum vegetarisch-veganen Herbstbüffet. Es war super! Wir als ansonsten "Fleischfresser" haben nichts vermisst. Die Salate waren hübsch angerichtet in ausgehöhlten Kürbissen. Neue Geschmackserlebnisse, u.a. beim Quinoasalat. Unser Highlight waren auch die Birnen-Feta-Lauchquiche, die Kürbisspalten auf Belugalinsen (Kürbis schön weich, Linsen lecker bissfest) und die Polentataler mit Kartoffel-Pilz-Ragout. Zum Abschluss ein toller Apfelcrumble! Das Buffet gabs heute wohl zum ersten Mal. Wir können es sehr empfehlen. Das Restaurant an sich ist aber auch so nett und schick-gemütlich, dass wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen werden!

The chef knows his craft. We were thrilled. An interesting location. The service was excellent. We will visit the Parkbad Süd often.

We held our wedding reception here. And it was simply perfect. We looked for a location relatively "spontaneously" (less than 6 months) and in the end, we have to say -> Luckily, the others were fully booked 😃 In general, we were incredibly lucky with the weather and caught what felt like the only good day in the last few weeks, which allowed us to move both the reception and the meal outside. Since we are flexitarians ourselves but also have some vegetarian and vegan friends, we had the menu tailored accordingly, and it was perfect. And at a more than fair price, especially compared to the other locations. Everything tasted incredibly delicious, and so was the feedback from our guests. A friend, who, as a vegan, usually has a hard time getting more than a "dry green lettuce leaf" at these kinds of parties, got four plates and only stopped because he was full 😅 The service was simply fantastic; we always had everything we needed, and every request for help was met promptly. So, we give everything 5+ stars, and thanks to the entire team at Parkbad Süd for this wonderful celebration. So if anyone is looking for a beautiful location in Castrop-Rauxel for any kind of celebration, you can't go wrong here 🥰 P.S. I somehow didn't take enough photos.

That was fantastic! A 70th birthday party with more than 50 guests, in midsummer 35-degree heat, and with Castrop-Roßlau at its peak – Parkbad manager Marlen Kampf and her exceptional team set the standard. The lovingly decorated terrace, super-friendly staff, fantastic service, and an excellent, tasteful buffet left nothing but superlatives in their wake. It couldn't have been better! A huge thank you to everyone involved!

Today we went to the Parkbad Süd for Mother's Day lunch. Due to the good weather we were able to enjoy the ambience of the park pool on the inner terrace; Marlen Kempf and her staff were always very nice and accommodating, there was no reason to complain about the food. As often as we have been there (Christmas, menu carousel or just for coffee and cake); A visit there is always worth it. Thank you very much, we would like to come back again.

The food was very tasty, the atmosphere is super nice and the staff/boss was super friendly. We felt very comfortable. In any case, we can recommend the Parkbad Süd Castrop Rauxel.

We had a vegan menu with a partly Asian touch. The starter was over-seasoned, the main course - ravioli filled with asparagus farce - was pretty tasteless. The dessert - two kinds of sorbet - is highly recommended. Overall, a pretty mixed result. What should be highlighted: the nice service.

Leider müssen wir noch einmal eine Bewertung über unser Parkbank Süd abgeben...Die Location mit allem drum und dran ist "leider" 😀 NICHT schlechter geworden 😀...WAS FÜR EIN GLÜCK FÜR UNS😁... Wir waren am vergangenen Karfreitag (18.04.2025) wieder hier und haben unser vorher bestelltes WUNSCHESSEN (für zwei Personen) genießen können. Very nice wines and good food with great service. That was a very nice evening.

As part of the carousel menu, we were allowed to be guests at the Parkbad Süd. An atmospherically furnished restaurant with tastefully set tables awaited us, where we immediately felt at home. The menu selection included a vegetarian version and a version with meat in the main course, including accompanying wines, beers and mineral water. Our very friendly waitress was helpful in making our decision and took enough time to introduce the individual courses in detail. Ultimately, the choice fell on both the vegetarian and the meat version. The starter already completely convinced us and made us very excited for the following courses and we shouldn't be disappointed. Every course of the four-course menu completely impressed us both in terms of taste and appearance. We will definitely visit this restaurant again.

Our high expectations are fully met every time. Food and service very good. Gladly again and again.

At the start of the 2025 menu carousel, we had a very pleasant evening in the Parkbad. We really liked both the vegetarian and the "normal" menu and the service was top. It was worth it.

Good food in pleasant surroundings

The atmosphere in the park bench is just great! This charm of the old outdoor swimming pool is brought across by tasteful decoration and an excellently successful renovation of the beautiful building. I'm already looking forward to summer on the terrace. To talk about the quality of the food is actually to bring owls to Athens. It was great once again, the many awards are rightly deserved. I had my first vegan steak, it was just amazing and beautifully prepared. My companion's goose was also excellent. Despite a celebration, the service was competent, friendly and always there when you needed it. A lovely evening!

Unfortunately we were there it was a wonderful wedding unfortunately one of the employees couldn't handle the cream dispenser so let's say it exploded. My wife got everything her whole dress was dirty with cream. We were told the cleaning would be taken over, and we have been waiting for a refund of the cleaning costs since August. We keep being put off. And no one answers the phone anymore and emails are not answered.

Went there for the first time yesterday because we were looking for a restaurant that offered real Viennese schnitzel - of course we ordered exactly that and were not disappointed! The breading was nicely spread and also stuck to the schnitzel, which was nice and thin as expected... Served with golden brown fried potatoes with onions - DELICIOUS!!! The staff was extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The ambience in the old Parkbad was extraordinary and noble, without making you feel uncomfortable as a “normal citizen”. A perfect evening. THANKS! We'd love to come back :-))))

We ordered food for 2 people to pick up at Christmas. Everything went great, the service was courteous and reliable. The food was beautifully presented. From starter to main course to dessert, everything tasted incredibly good. A perfect holiday meal that leaves nothing to be desired. We will definitely eat at Parkbad Süd again. Thank you for the exceptionally good culinary evening with really nice service, which unfortunately we haven't had in Castrop-Rauxel for a long time. Even though we enjoyed the wine offered with it, the very good cuisine would have deserved a more extensive wine selection. We wish the Parkbad Süd team well-deserved success and all the best for 2025!

Five of us went there for dinner on a Friday evening. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The clear menu suggests fresh cuisine and this expectation is confirmed. Excellent quality and taste. The waiting times until the meal started and between courses were a bit long, which was probably due to the fact that the food was freshly produced and also because it was full that evening. But maybe the kitchen is a little understaffed. It was a bit long for us. As an aperitif we ordered the Cremand Rose. However, after a while it turned out that it was no longer in stock. The Rotling Secco offered as an alternative did not suit our taste. We were then offered champagne, which we gladly took as it was very tasty. However, we were a bit surprised that the champagne was also charged at the end. Since it was an omission on the part of the restaurant that the Cremand originally offered and ordered was not in stock, I would have expected a different approach here. We didn't ask for the champagne, but it was offered to us as a replacement for the Cremand. For dinner, we each ordered one of the 3-course menus on offer. I had onion roast venison as my main course. Excellently done, praise to the kitchen. Overall, we had a very nice evening and were served excellently. We would be happy to come back, even if the price structure (we paid 400 euros for 5 people including tips) is not without its price.

NO MORE SWIMMING BUT FOODING!!! We have rediscovered the Parkbad Süd restaurant. Have been there a few times. The new owner Marlen Kempf, the chef Dominik and the entire team do their job excellently. The tasteful table decorations, the cozy, relaxed atmosphere and the very open-minded, friendly service staff make visiting the restaurant very inviting and pleasant. Something for everyone who LIKES TO EAT FINE. All dishes are very tasteful, harmonious, creative, a delight for the palate and a feast for the eyes. Thanks to the chef Dominik and his team. Even pre-ordered dishes/dishes (TASTY SPECIAL REQUESTS) outside the menu for individuals are no problem and are prepared decoratively and tastefully. We have enjoyed every visit to the restaurant so far and would like to say thank you to the entire Parkbad Süd team, keep it up. We think YOU and YOUR restaurant are great and will recommend it to others. Not just for eating, also for other events... IT'S WORTH IT!!! See you soon and stay as you are. Absolutely insane... such great food and great ambience! You can only take your hat off to the young chef! The boss is very unsympathetic and not particularly polite. No matter...the food is great!

There is only one star because this host exudes arrogance and is totally unpleasant to me. It's a shame for the chef but I won't eat there Don't pay for arrogance and a calculating rating at my local your local.

As already mentioned in previous reviews, it's a shame about the place. Very long waiting times - even though there wasn't much going on. The owner reacted very arrogantly, you shouldn't have to deal with something like that as a guest.

We celebrated our daughter's baptism there and are completely satisfied. The planning and implementation was great. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The waiters were great! Always trying to please all guests and also super friendly. The only thing that was a bit tricky was making an appointment, but after asking we finally found an appointment to discuss it. I can only warmly recommend the Parkbad, whether for a celebration or out to eat. It's really beautiful there.

The Parkbad Süd is one of the few locations in Castrop where a civil wedding outside of the town hall is possible. We were very lucky and were able to host our wedding and subsequent celebration in the Parkbad in June 2024. The location is simply amazing. In addition, the weather was just perfect that day. The wedding ceremony took place on the spacious meadow, which was beautifully prepared by Marlen, and dinner was served to us as part of a BBQ buffet on the terrace. The gentle summer day and the Mediterranean ambience of the park pool... it was really like a movie and I couldn't have imagined my wedding to be more beautiful!! On the day of the wedding, everything was just right: every little detail we discussed in advance was taken into account and implemented. The extensive food was outstanding! No matter whether it was fish, meat or the vegetarian versions... it was super delicious! (Unfortunately, due to the excitement, I was able to eat much less than I would have wanted 😅) Special requests that were addressed in advance regarding gluten and lactose intolerance and a person with a tomato allergy were discussed and, after consultation with the chef Dominik, delicious alternatives were immediately developed been. The entire team was extremely attentive and always polite and friendly to our guests. Marlen and her team are simply professionals, which was also shown by the collaboration with our wedding singer Fabian, the DJ Dirk and, last but not least, the photographers and the florist. Everything went hand in hand and on the day itself we really didn't have to worry about anything and could concentrate entirely on ourselves. At this point I can only say “thank you” again to Marlen and the entire team for making ALL OF THIS possible for us and for giving us this wonderful, fantastic day!! We will never forget him!! ❤️

Anlass meines Besuchs war der Spanische Abend 2024 mit der Gruppe Marquess. Weil uns die Musik 2023 sehr gut gefiel, waren wir auch in diesem Jahr wieder mit dabei. Die Musik war wieder TOP, die Gastronomie empfand ich leider eher als durchwachsen und gegenüber früheren Events als deutlich überteuert. Die Getränke waren zu durchaus üblichen Preisen ok und man kann ja, da wir Cola und Mineralwasser in Flaschen erworben hatten, dabei auch nicht viel falsch machen. Anders dagegen beim Essen. Da ich noch nicht zu Abend gegessen hatte, habe ich mich für eine vegetarische Paella entschieden. Es fing damit an, dass die Paella noch nicht gar war, obwohl die Veranstaltung längst lief und ich erst gegen 18:45 Uhr kurz vor dem Auftritt der Hauptgruppe im Parkbad angekommen bin. So musste ich erst einmal 10 Minuten warten. Das Personal war allerdings sehr freundlich, wenn auch wie mir schien, nicht besonders kompetent. Am Stand nebenan, wo es unter anderem die Tapas gab, hatte ich während des Wartens Gelegenheit zu beobachten, wie die Schlange länger und länger wurde, obwohl 3 Mitarbeitende hinter der Theke standen. Da man nur mit Wertmarken bezahlen konnte und auch nicht übermäßig viele verschiedene Gerichte zu erhalten waren, kann das zügige Arbeiten doch wirklich nicht so schwer sein. Möglicherweise lag es aber auch daran, dass sie den Nachschub, etwa and den überbackenen Kartoffeln nicht schnell genug nachgeliefert bekamen. Irgendwann war dann auch meine Paella gar und der freundliche Mitarbeiter und wohl auch Koch, der die vegane Paella zubereitet hatte, bat mich um eine Beurteilung dieser Mahlzeit, wenn ich mit dem Essen fertig bin. Dies habe ich wegen seines zuvorkommenden und freundlichen Auftretens, das ich ausdrücklich loben muss, auch getan. Nun zur Paella. Die Vegane Ausführung kostete 14 € pro Portion auf einem Teller in der Größe eines etwas größeren Frühstückstellers. Das Gericht bestand überwiegend aus Reis, versetzt mit einigen Erbsen, eindeutig aus der Dose. Einige gedrittelte Stückchen, wahrscheinlich Zuckererbsenschoten, der Farbe nach zu urteilen, ebenfalls nicht frisch, waren auch noch darin. Weiterhin habe ich nach längerem Suchen zwei Streifen Paprika vorgefunden, maximal ca. 10 cm lang und 1 cm breit. Das war an frischen Zutaten aber auch schon alles. Geschmacklich war es zwar gut, aber angesichts der preisgünstigen Zutaten und dem sparsamsten Umgang mit frischem Gemüse wären maximal 7 anstatt 14 Euro gerechtfertigt gewesen. Das habe ich dem Mitarbeiter auch kundgetan und ich hatte den Eindruck, als habe er das an diesem Abend nicht zum ersten Mal zu hören bekommen. Da ich nach dem Verzehr der Paella noch längst nicht gesättigt war, habe ich am Stand nebenan noch ein Schälchen Kartoffeln mit verschiedenen Saucen für 5 € gekauft, Grundfläche etwa wie eine CD- Hülle und etwa 5 cm hoch. Die Kartoffeln waren schön knusprig und die Saucen lecker. Insgesamt habe ich für mein Essen also 19 € investiert. Um das mal in Relation zu setzen, Sonntags war ich mit meiner besseren Hälfte in Marl Pizza essen und habe für 2 Pizzen, eine vegetarisch eine mit Meeresfrüchten, inklusive einem kleinen Salat und zwei 0,33er Cola 26,50 bezahlt. Ich habe hier drei Sterne vergeben, allerdings4 für die gute Musik und die schöne Location, für die Restauration würde ich mal sagen minus 1, ergibt in Summe halt 3 Sterne.

We were welcomed with a champagne reception in the Parkbad Süd. You can only say a great atmosphere with detailed decoration, a very committed team who were always at our side and read our wishes from our eyes. For example, For example, the seating for 25 guests was moved from inside to outside. We were served an outstanding meal. The cake we brought with us was decorated by the team and included in their menu. Since it was so warm that day that the Parkbad Süd team didn't let us miss anything, we were able to enjoy the first beautiful spring night with moonlight that none of us wanted to go home. Absolute no go. Were there after CKÜ and the entrance was total chaos. Unfortunately, it's no fun.

Exceptional location. Old outdoor swimming pool with a stage in the pool. Great owner and great team. Unfortunately I haven't eaten there yet.

Was there for the ALS festival. Security was a joke! Look at the grandmas who wanted to go to the event and put their money in their pockets and then didn't even do it properly. There is an approx. 20 cm high gap under the fence in the former swimming pool. Ridiculous and inappropriate. The cake donated by Katja's Café wasn't even known as such. Said.....oh, tastier cake from Katja's Cafe....Answer from the saleswoman.....no idea who it's from.....embarrassing!

These were the best gnocchi I have ever eaten, the chicken and asparagus were also sensational. We'd love to come back.

Very good restaurant, delicious food and nice atmosphere. The asparagus we had was terrific and the staff and boss were very friendly and accommodating. We recommend!

We dined like kings with friends, looked after by the team and with excellent food. The ox cheeks that I ate were super tender and tasted perfect.

We went to the Parkbad last Thursday for my birthday. After looking for a special location for a long time, we really found everything we were looking for here. The location exudes great charm, the ambience when you look outside is unique here in the Ruhr area, with a long history and promises a warm and really cozy atmosphere inside. We received a very warm welcome and were given wine advice right from the start to match our chosen dishes. From the starter to the main course to the dessert, the dishes were not only really delicious, but also perfectly coordinated and prepared to perfection. I still dream about Skrei. The service was incredibly attentive and courteous; even at the event location, time was taken at the table to explain the dishes in detail. All in all, a more than successful evening in a unique, warm atmosphere and first-class gastronomy. Thanks for that!

If you haven't been to the Parkbad Süd restaurant in Castrop-Rauxel, you've missed something. We were there on 02/23/24 and ate the February menus. Enjoyable 4-course menus with corresponding wines and water. A culinary fireworks display of different flavors. Ambiance: extraordinary and unique in the former outdoor swimming pool in Castrop-Rauxel Cuisine: the outstanding cuisine is highly recommended. Products of regional freshness and very good quality are obviously used. Service: The service is managed competently, courteously and confidently by the owner Marlen Kempf. Conclusion: We ate and drank very well and felt comfortable. A successful evening. - This restaurant is always worth a visit The long journey for us was definitely worth it and we will be happy to come back.

We celebrated the retirement of a work colleague there - I didn't know the restaurant before. We had a buffet with great specialties from pink roast beef to pasta in a parmesan loaf, ox cheeks, salmon and so on, really delicious, the service was super friendly and accommodating, this place is really recommended.

We were at Parkbad-Süd for dinner for the first time on March 8th, 2024. Super nice, friendly staff. Requests for changes were also accepted without any problems. Small but very nice menu. Everything prepared fresh and very tasty. Feel free to come by again.

On February 10th we were invited to celebrate a 60th birthday in your premises, which we already knew. I recently celebrated my big birthday at the Parkbad... We were completely satisfied. The food was excellent and the service was really friendly. The ladies also helped us as disc jockeys, definitely not a given...👏👏🎉👍🏾 We would be happy to do it again.

We were there last Saturday as guests for a big birthday party. Since the location was not unfamiliar to us, we knew what to expect in terms of the ambience. Not really our taste. The food was well cooked. The service was ok so far, but orders were often forgotten or brought very late. What we found very annoying was that the disabled toilet was only marginally usable. The room was full of garbage bags, probably with dirty textiles, a large coffee machine, a cigarette machine and cleaning supplies. You could use the toilet itself, but the path to the sink was blocked. The baby changing station was also unusable because it was full of stuff. I myself am disabled, without a wheelchair, and NEED an appropriate toilet, as does an old lady among the birthday guests who uses a walker. So after using the toilet we had to go to the women's room to wash our hands. This doesn't have to be the case and it shouldn't! There were also many guests in the restaurant. What should a wheelchair user have done? Or someone with a toddler? I asked the staff about it several times, but each time they said: We're sorry, there's nothing we can do now. This situation actually made me very disappointed!
