Ate there for the first time today. The service was very fast, the food was excellent, and the value for money was top notch. 👍

It was my first time there. Everyone was very nice and everything was delicious. The drinks all tasted great and I would recommend them to anyone from the surrounding area or from other cities. It's definitely worth it.

Truly fruitful! The food is of very poor quality and the prices are overpriced. The staff is extremely unprofessional and rude – at the slightest criticism or question, you're told, "If you don't like it, then leave the restaurant." Even the management shows no respect for the guests. The only thing that sets this restaurant apart is its good location in Duisburg. That's the only reason some customers still come; otherwise, no one would tolerate these conditions.

I liked it a lot. The fitness salad was great and it came with pizza bread (it was almost like a small margarita, just without cheese). The food on the plates around it all looked great too. Pizza and pasta on offer at lunchtime. You can also sit outside.

Hello dear community, I had dinner at Paprica this afternoon. The ambience and furnishings are beautifully designed. With plenty of seating. I ate a spaetzle casserole and paid €20.00 for the drink. A guest toilet is in the basement. Accessible via the stairs. There is also outside seating when the weather is nice. You are also welcome to take food with you on the go. I've only drunk there so far, but I've only heard positive things about the food from many friends. Nice atmosphere, nice staff.

Basically good, but what else can I describe in detail here!? I have described my personal impressions until December 2024. But Google's algorithm no longer likes that, even with positive reviews with 4 and 5 stars, it accuses me of violating the guidelines and is viewed as defamation and pursued. For example, the description of a supermarket: "A wide range of products is offered, the parking lot is quite cramped, the shelves are close together, at peak times the queues at the checkouts are very long." falls into the "defamation" category according to the algorithm. And then Google doesn't explain to me exactly what my violations consist of, especially since such personal assessments have not been a problem for years. So what else can I write here if Google keeps turning off reviews so vaguely and doesn't answer questions?! How can I do justice to the place, the service provider, the offer or the product? Dear users and operators, with the current Google algorithm I cannot help you with a qualified evaluation. :-( 😞 January 2025

Let's call it 3.5 stars. Would describe the location as a “better extra paper”. Food is quite good, but totally average and nothing special. However, prices are good during happy hour. But you shouldn't have to pay much more for it.

It's okay to go out for a spontaneous meal... I wasn't really impressed with the taste. Ordered steak (medium) and was well done... no idea where the mistake was. The salad was all prepared in the fridge. (This is what it looked like) Music wasn't that appropriate and was rather annoying. Because you can still eat there...

I can only recommend the food and the staff are just great

I had a grilled salmon fillet with prawns and vegetables. Unfortunately, the entire menu was drowned in a bland white sauce. You couldn't detect the taste of the salmon fillet, the prawns or the vegetables. Half of the plate was returned because there was simply no more food to eat, unfortunately!

We were looking forward to 2 delicious schnitzels and got pressed meat instead. Firstly, shaped meat cannot be sold as schnitzel. Secondly, the menu didn't indicate that it was molded meat either. I worked in the kitchen of a restaurant myself and I still remember what my boss called something like this - product foisting! The "schnitzel" was "hidden" under a large amount of sauce, but that didn't improve the tasteless mass underneath. After 3 bites we gave up and ordered the bill. The waiter took our criticism calmly and just said he would pass it on. This was the shortest restaurant visit of our lives!!! Schnitzel with fries and salad - €16.90 each

Tasty and good value for money too

Friendly welcome, cozy atmosphere. Similar to Café Extrablatt. We had a really delicious pizza, absolutely great. Fresh Kölsch on tap, nightcaps from the house, what more could you want. Price performance fits. If we're in the area again, we'll be happy to come back.

This is the fourth time I've had lunch there and it's always good and for €10 plus 2 for salad which isn't bad either, great value for money! Service for drinks was quite quick. Twice during the busy Christmas market season, it took a little longer for the food to arrive, but it was okay! From the outside it wasn't really my thing but on the recommendation of the ladies at the blood donation center opposite I had to try it! Also the tip: the gratinated noodles with prawns were really great, great tomato sauce, plenty of prawns and spicy worked well too!! I just wished there was a little more pasta, it was really tasty!!

Nice restaurant in the middle of Duisburg city center. It was well attended on Saturday lunchtime. We enjoyed the food very much. The pizza was crispy and delicious. The spaetzle casserole was also very good. Generous portions, great price (lunch until 4 p.m., only €9.90 per dish). The service was friendly, attentive and quick. See you next time :-)

Went to the Christmas market in Duisburg and then ate at happy hour at lunchtime until 4 p.m. Very nice, courteous service. The order was taken quickly and the food came relatively quickly. Salad came immediately. The waiter was also very child-friendly to our grandson and even treated him to a portion of fries. We had pizza and pasta with salad. Both very tasty. All in all, good value for money and a very good offer for pizza and pasta at a fixed price at lunchtime. We can only recommend it.

We ate there with several people, a colleague and I had a pizza. Sorry to write this, but it was very weak. The price is OK for a restaurant, but I would say that it is frozen food that has been pimped up. Zero taste.

Excellent food at a reasonable price.

It was Friday December 13th, 2024. I wanted to accompany an 84 year old with a disability to the toilet. The nearest toilet was Restaurant Paprika. When we got to the door, the doorman came. My polite question: whether I could use the toilet, there was a derogatory reaction, I said "I would pay for it too" He pushed us out the door with the comment, go somewhere else. If you pay for your emergency and are turned away, you shouldn't be surprised if your blood pressure rises. Thank God I'm a calm person. I will avoid this place in the future and I will tell anyone who is interested about it. Another location was more polite and took care of us.

Two stars, unfortunately I can't give it more. One star for the friendly and attentive service and one star for the beautiful location and the clean toilets. Unfortunately the food wasn't good. My husband and I ordered various schnitzels and received them quickly. Unfortunately these didn't taste good. Both schnitzels were tough and tasted rotten. Convenience goods that were either poorly stored or had expired. We couldn't believe the claim that the schnitzels were freshly made from pork salmon, apart from the fact that it would then be the wrong meat for schnitzels. Maybe we just had a bad day. But it's also strange that there is so much staff there for a manageable number of guests.

The food was good. It was very full and the waiting times were extremely long. We waited 30 minutes before someone came so we could order drinks. Then order food for another 30 minutes. But price performance was good.

Close to Duisburg Hbf. Sure one time visit, you would like it.

Mega location with fantastic cocktails! We were here last night and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is amazing – relaxed, stylish and with a great vibe. The service was super friendly and attentive, you felt welcome from the start. The highlight: the cocktails! Simply heavenly. You can tell that the work here is done with passion and high-quality ingredients. Every drink was a delight, perfectly balanced and creatively presented. A place you absolutely have to visit - be it for a relaxed evening with friends or a date. We'll definitely be back!

Nice restaurant with a good atmosphere. The staff was very stressed and took it out on us. Had to wait 1.5 hours for the food.

Waited almost 45 minutes for the order even though it was almost empty. The veggie burger we ordered took even longer. The food was tasty, but lukewarm. No further requests (such as drinks) were asked. When asked if they had children's chairs, the staff was visibly annoyed.

Definitely recommend this place. Delicious food and great service, we had a great time during our diner at Paprica. The food is fantastic and quick we got ours within 15 minutes after being seated and was well seasoned, tastefull and definitely enough. The staff was professional, kind, quick and efficient. The staff also made sure that everyone could eat in peace. Some lesser lifeforms at the table behind us decided it was a good idea to watch instagram at max volume and make calls on speaker phone the staff noticed and spoke to them in an orderly fashion and asked not to do so in a restaurant. And this made our stay for dinner even better. Thanks great staff of paprica.

I was not happy with my order. The tortellini didn't taste good at all and the mushroom pizza was very, very ordinary. But the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was cozy.

I recently visited the Restaurant Paprica and loved it! I ordered the Mozzarella Pizza and Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, and both dishes were outstanding. The pizza was perfectly baked, with a crispy base and a generous layer of fresh, melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella. The tomato sauce was rich and flavorful, balancing the flavors beautifully. The Spaghetti Aglio e Olio was also a highlight – simple but incredibly tasty, with the perfect mix of garlic, olive oil and a hint of chilli. Went to the restaurant last night around 7:30 p.m. Great atmosphere and prices are very acceptable. Ordered two pizzas, they were delicious. Very nice staff. When it comes to drinks, they have a lot to choose from.

It was actually very good. The service was nice and understanding. The food was very tasty. The only drawback was that we had a couple sitting at the next table who were loudly using their cell phones, which was very disturbing. That was probably normal for her. So we told the waitress that we wanted to change our seats, which wasn't a problem and we were still able to enjoy our food.

Totally annoying service, completely hectic, immediately asks what you want to eat or drink, even though you haven't even looked at the menu yet. When they don't feel like it anymore, they close the place by saying, "Are you paying together?" and then have the seat cushion given to you. Kind of funny. But the food was delicious.

At this point a lance has to be broken for this store. We were in Duisburg for the first time and came across this restaurant. There are a few places to eat on Königsstrasse, but we won't be able to do that anymore - if we are there, we will eat at "Paprika"! 🙌 The food was simply MEGA, the location is really beautifully decorated and the STAFF - I've rarely seen a staff that was so attentive! As soon as we had anything close to a wish in our minds, it was read from our lips! Our table was kept in view by all employees, we were asked how we were and we were properly “taken care of”. I watched the team eat as I was so fascinated by how well organized everything was - it was breathtaking. 👌 Otherwise, the food was reasonably priced and the drinks weren't overpriced either. As I said, the employees were great and the management was also very accommodating. The five stars are more than deserved - thank you for this culinary delight. 🥰 PS: Photos will follow next time you stay.

When it comes to peppers, everything just fits together. Attentive service, delicious food at moderate prices, and a cozy atmosphere. I or we go there more often. All of the friends and colleagues I was there with were very enthusiastic. I hope this restaurant will be around longer. Definitely better than Maredo before.

At lunchtime we had 20 different dishes at the same time. Everything was ordered in advance, but that was quite an achievement! 🥳Thank you and many satisfied customers. Enjoy your meal.

Had dinner there with a few people and were unfortunately disappointed. The starter came with the main course and was clearly not as it was on the menu, one of the dishes was burnt and when we told the waitress about it, she simply reacted to it in an unconfident manner. In the end there wasn't even an apology, for the first and last time for us.

Food and drinks are good but the service got worse with each visit. So many service staff, a manageable number of customers and you are literally ignored. We won't be coming back again. Bad service, no service orientation!

Very friendly service with good food at a fair price

That's not true, I enjoyed drinking a beer there and then I wanted to use the toilet, but I was charged almost €5 just for being allowed to use the local toilets. Of course there was just a concert and I sat there and ordered something because I now I was rude and asked to use the local toilets without ordering anything but the staff still came to me in a very very rude manner and demanded that I pay five euros to use the toilets.

Had a schnitzel. It was pretty good but I recommended them rather for pasta dishes.

The service was very nice and attentive, the restaurant also makes a nice impression from the inside. So much for the good. Unfortunately, points are deducted for the most important thing - namely the food. Maybe we were just unlucky that day or with the selection. The fact that the food was on the table after five minutes made us suspicious, but that also explains the quality. My husband's burger had one of the cheapest burger patties you can imagine. It's okay that not everything is always homemade, but even with convenience you can pay some attention to the quality. My Wiener-style schnitzel was the cheapest schnitzel I've ever eaten (partially). Even the Billo schnitzels from Netto taste higher quality. The item had a maximum of 50 percent meat, the rest was fillers and endless spices. I could only eat half of it because it disgusted me so much. The fries were delicious. The salad was bland and consisted mostly of stalk pieces and mysterious dressing. Then asking for almost 15 euros for that was tough. Unfortunately, I'm afraid we probably won't be back.

Der Laden sieht schön aus, sehr tolles Ambiente. Die Schnitzel sind eine Katastrophe. 5 Minuten nach der Bestellung kamen 2 Schnitzel mit Champignonrahmsoße. Schnitzel ist Formfleisch in der Fritteuse gemacht, die Soße war eine fertige aus der Tüte, auf der sich schon Haut durch zu langes stehen gebildet hat. Da merkt man, das ist keine ehrliche Gastronomie mehr, das ist Abzocke. Jede Pommesbude am Bahnhof ist besser. Der Laden sieht uns nicht wieder.
