Friendly, cozy pub with a mixed crowd, a real meeting place

I have fond memories of my stay at both the hotel and the restaurant. That was three years ago. I've never had pierogi as delicious as those served there. I fondly remember the hostess who prepared this delicious dish.

Last Saturday, we went to the NRW Championships at the Rheinhausen Hall with friends and wanted to grab a bite to eat afterward. We stumbled upon this restaurant and were all thrilled. Even though we arrived so late, the service was very attentive and the food was delicious, especially considering the great price – the portion was really generous! 🤌🏻 (We hope our enthusiasm didn't leave a bad impression, and we thank you very much. We'd love to come back!) 😁

Unfortunately, I was severely harassed by customers as I walked past last night. Next door to a Rewe supermarket is where I left while still wearing my mask (there are plenty of reasons why you might want or need to). This bothered a man outside so much that he felt the need to shout insulting and threatening remarks at me. Since I had no desire to justify myself or express my opinion about his behavior (an escalation would probably have been unavoidable in his condition), I moved on. If the restaurant is frequented by such clientele, I unfortunately have absolutely no temptation to ever spend time there myself. I can only hope that young women aren't regularly being threatened in the dark, and that this man is an absolutely disgusting exception, but if such people are welcome, then as a restaurant, you're shooting yourself in the foot for many other groups.

Well, I was really impressed; the food was really good. I really have nothing to complain about. Eating like this was like old times, and you felt really comfortable.
