Great food and service, but unbearably loud due to several families letting their children shout. Felt like trying to enjoy a meal in a softplay.

We went with the family this afternoon, the welcome was perfect 👍, the waitresses are smiling and very professional, the atmosphere is good and the main thing is the food is delicious. I recommend this Thai restaurant. I will come back with pleasure.

A great selection of authentic Thai-Isaan dishes. Fast, very friendly, and helpful service. The ambiance is rather plain, and unfortunately, almost all of the seats have no backrests.

Whe had a great experience at Papaya! The Thai dishes were absolutely delicious – full of flavor and beautifully presented. I especially loved the iced tea, it was so refreshing and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff were very friendly. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to!

Terrible service, the guy who served us practically kicked me and my friend out, he didn't bring us the menu even when we asked for it twice after 15 minutes, and when his fellow waitresses were cleaning a table for us, he rudely told us that that table was not available for us and that he couldn't give us a table.

Whenever we are in Berlin, we have dinner here. The food is really original Thai. The drinks too. Cha-Thai, among other things, was very, very tasty. The selection and quality are absolutely great and the price is unbeatable. Not even 10 euros for a Som Tham Thai!!!!! A real enrichment for Berlin. The staff is very nice and always attentive and friendly. Empty plates or glasses are cleared away very quickly. We love this restaurant!!!

It's like coming to a typical Thai restaurant in Thailand. It has the charm of Thailand, it smells like Thailand and it tastes absolutely authentic like Thailand. Good recommendation - we'd love to come back!

So the food is good but the portions are getting smaller and now extremely expensive! So what you see in the photo actually cost €80. These are all just starters and a main course.

Food okay, service insanely good, honest! Waitress came over for the first time after 20 minutes, there were three of us. Dishes were brought every 20 minutes after 30 minutes, so each of us basically had to eat alone so that our food didn't get cold. Definitely super nice! Service simply gives you goosebumps. If you ask about your food, you will be rejected in a really unfriendly manner, which is completely fair.

A well-attended restaurant on Kantstrasse with a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, my main course, the rice noodle soup with beef, didn't convince me at all. The broth was extremely bland - in fact, the worst I've ever tasted. The dish was also noticeably lacking in vegetables; Apart from a few herbs, there was hardly anything in it. The dessert, Mango Sticky Rice, tasted really good, but was significantly overpriced in relation to the small portion. Overall, it's only enough for 3 stars for me.

Food was very good, service friendly. However, the dishes were only announced by their numbers, which was a bit inconvenient - if you didn't remember the numbers, you wouldn't know which dish was meant. Unfortunately, the dishes didn't come at the same time, which somewhat disrupted the shared enjoyment. Still, overall a solid experience with delicious food.

Unfortunately I didn't like the Pad Thai with tofu, it was very bland. Lemon instead of lime, no flat rice noodles. Papaya salad was ok.

Today I came to follow the review because I started to miss home. Namtok Kao Lao has a delicious taste, a little sweet (if you don't like sweet, you have to tell the cook). Delicious without having to cook. Minced pork curry, mixed vegetables, fragrant roasted rice, served in a pot Chicken larb, medium flavor, not spicy, delicious. Papaya salad with crab and fermented fish The taste appeals to Isaan people. There's also salty pickled crab.

The food is good but the staff is not. You, a German with an immigration background, behave badly towards me, as if you were something special.

Unfortunately I find the food to be mediocre and don't understand the hype. The pad krapao was one of the worst I've eaten. There was a lot of savings on Thai basil here (there were 3 basil leaves in the dish, even though it is one of the main ingredients). The loaf with duck is just dry and tough and the noodle dishes don't really have a good taste either. The only thing that is really tasty is the papaya salad. But the main courses are unfortunately a failure and don't taste authentic.

From the outside, the crowds who come to the place attract people who come there. The place is very specific, it is not very clean, food remains are scraped onto the floor and the tables are wiped with one cloth. Seeing this, I took some takeaway food - soup and two dishes. All three were terrible, it was the worst Thai food I've ever eaten. There was Italian in one dish... Additionally, there was a significant language barrier.

It didn't taste authentic, something was missing from every dish we ordered. Very small portions for the price you pay...

A small and simple but very friendly restaurant with very good cuisine. The price-performance ratio is very fair. The quality of the food is very good. The selection of dishes is extensive. The team is very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and furnishings are simple but friendly and have something of a bistro feel to them.

I'm not a meat fanatic, but the chicken pieces floating in my Dutch oven were very lonely. And: marked with 2 chilis, I would have hoped for more Thai style - it was more European seasoned. What was admirable, however, was the service, which largely kept track of everything in the chaos.

We have been to Papaya several times and have not been disappointed. The food tastes very good and the service is also super nice. The restaurant is perfect for a casual evening. It is always busy and reservations should be made for groups of 3 or more people. We like coming here.

The restaurant offers very authentic dishes. I think it's good that there are different dishes to choose from than in other restaurants. I really enjoyed the things. Been there twice this week. The only unfortunate thing was that the portion might not be enough for a person who eats a little more. My partner said he liked it, but unfortunately it was a bit lacking in meat. Next time I'll ask if it's possible to order more meat. (was there again and asked: it's possible for 3€) FYI: I ordered pasta, herbs and salad for the chicken dish for €4.

Best green curry i know. Not to sweet, humble, quite spicy though (taking the chillies out before i start). Go there quite often to get green curry with tofu.

The chicken was tender, flavorful, unseasoned and dry. The egg too. The rice was not fried properly as some grains were white. But service was ok.

Very popular and busy on a Saturday night! Reservation definitely necessary. Staff speaks English. Very kind, fast and professional service. Cash or credit card accepted. The pad thai was perfect. The Papaya Salad is legit, so tasty and spicy. I would have drank the Papaya Salad juices but since we were in public, I refrained, lol. I want to come back for more.

The waiter was exceptionally nice and courteous and we were also impressed by the food. Although the menu didn't actually have any vegetarian options, the dishes were modified for us as much as possible (e.g. served with tofu).

Unfortunately, apart from the occasional spiciness, there can be no question of authentic Thai cuisine, for which we would have accepted the careless furnishings and lackluster service. The menu is long and includes the usual red and green curries as well as more unusual Isaan specialties, but the preparation is standard at best. Textures, herbs and freshness are missing, the Pad Thai are more warmed up spaghetti than fried and differentiated and vegetarian dishes are only available as tofu instead of meat. Disappointing in line with the Eurasia snack bars in Berlin and also too expensive. No recommendation.

Auf der Suche nach authentischem unverfälschten Thai Essen in Berlin wurde uns dieses Restaurant empfohlen. Der Laden war rappel voll und wir hatten noch Glück einen Tisch gekriegt zu haben. Das Interieur ist eher schlicht aber dem Zweck dienlich. Nämlich gut zu essen. Und das kann man dort!! Die bestellten Gerichte waren durchweg schmackhaft und meine thailändische Frau war überrascht wie unverfälscht die Rezepturen waren. Ganz klare Empfehlung!!

I really loved the papaya on Kantstrasse. I was there at lunchtime and although the restaurant was busy, everything ran smoothly. The food came to the table incredibly quickly, which I found very impressive considering the number of guests. The service was friendly and attentive, so I immediately felt at home. The atmosphere is lively but pleasant - you can tell that this restaurant is popular with many. The food itself was excellent. Fresh, tasty and beautifully presented – exactly what I was hoping for. The price-performance ratio is particularly impressive: you really get a lot here for the quality and portion size. I would recommend Papaya to anyone who is in the area and wants a great lunch!

I ordered food to go and they charged me more than the actual price that is listed on the menu. I guess they do it, so they still get tips? I was going to tip them anyway but found it weird that they did it without me saying anything. The food was good though.

The food was good. Particularly noteworthy are the numbers 40, 42 and 159. As well as the mango sticky rice. The service was very friendly and attentive. Negative: Some of the tables are very close to each other. The background noise is rather high.

There are two restaurants that belong together but have different dishes. For example, super delicious pork search in the left one. Unfortunately not on the right. The one on the left is closed on Sunday. But it's not bad. It's always delicious. And unfortunately always full. But it's worth waiting. My Thai friend says it's her favorite Thai in Berlin. 😉

The closest to actual Thai food I had so far in Germany. Especially the chicken soup taste just like at the streets of bangkok. A little too pricey though. But alot of Thai people come to eat here as well. And you can pay with card now. THANK YOU FOR THAT.

I actually ordered a simple dish (rice, chicken, broccoli,...) but to my surprise it really tasted extremely good. The service was unobtrusive but super friendly. I felt welcome here. Soups are really tasty, service is also very nice, but the atmosphere is like a food stall and not as relaxed or quiet as the street is very busy.

We are always enthusiastic about “Papaya”. Very tasty (and very spicy - be careful). The best sticky mango I've eaten so far (addiction factor 100). A very good, small restaurant.

The food was quite good especially the shrimp thai fried rice. The chicken with cashew chilli was also quite nice. The portions are pretty massive though!

I have no idea what the others have written...the food was great. There were 7 of us there. Had a whole lot of different dishes. Everything was delicious, authentically Thai and fresh. The furnishings....inconsequential. Price was completely OK.

I think the som tam is very tasty, as are the pad see ew. The soup was very disappointing though, it was nothing like any Thai soup I have had and tasted more like a starchy Chinese-style European take on "make it taste Asian".

Food was ok, but the fried spring rolls!!! I think it's totally bad with rice paper. The worst thing for the first time is fried spring rolls. Apart from the completely bland taste, the dough is not crispy and chewy as if it was not fully fried, had, The fried noodle Pad Thai contains a lot of oil. The taste shouldn't be called padthai. The issue is service!! I can only give 1 star, the ambience is really appealing like the snack shop, the price range is ok for the small portion
