Am Samstag zum Burgeressen vorbeigeschaut. Nicht billig, aber lecker. Ist einen Besuch wert 👍

Haben zum abholen für 6 Personen bestellt. Hatten Änderungen, die verrechnet und bezahlt wurden und trotzdem falsch zubereitet! Absolute Frechheit!

Sehr guter Service wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt!!! Das Essen, wir hatten alle die Rennsemmeln, war gut. Das Ambiente ist ok :) sicher im Sommer schöner wenn man auch draußen sitzen kann.

Immer einen Besuch wert wenn man in der Gegend ist! Die Rennsemmeln sind einfach ein absoluter Klassiker und die Variationen sind wirklich köstlich. 🔥 Das Personal war bisher immer hilfsbereit und freundlich und die Einrichtung ist klassisch rockig und urig 👍🏼 Empfehlung: Wenn viel los ist muss man mit den Parkplätzen etwas in der Gegend schauen.

Wer ein gemütliches Lokal mit gutem Essen sucht ist hier genau richtig. Das Ambiente ist chillig, die Bedienungen schnell, lässig und freundlich und das Essen "Sauguad". Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Rennsemmeln.

Die haben sogar warmes Essen am Nachmittag! Was in der Großstadt normal ist, ist nicht selbstverständlich aufm Land. Ironie : Aber es gibt ja keine Nachts arbeitende Bevölkerung mehr!... Schichtarbeiter und Gastro People, wissen was ich meine. Das muss man unterstützen! Alles prima wie schon seit Jahrzehnten trotz Besitzerwechsel. Dankeschön. Bis sehr bald wieder.

War lange nicht mehr dort. Immer noch toll, den Pavillon hätte ich persönlich nicht gebraucht. Hoffentlich gibt es wieder einen Biergarten im Sommer

Ambiente top, Service gut. Burger gut Stechen im Vergleich zu Mitbewerbern in Tölz auch nicht heraus, Salat gut und Riesig. Leider sind die Rennsemmeln nicht mehr das was sie mal waren, heute bekommt man viel Brot und wenig Belag. Speziell die Rennsemmeln haben für mich immer den Reiz ausgemacht ins Kesselhaus zu fahren.

Die Rennsemmeln dort sind gigantisch - wer soll das denn ohne "Magen-Zerrung" schaffen?? Aber echt fein, und somit komme ich gerne wieder. Aber nächstes Mal nehme ich eine halbe Renn-Semme....

Komme jederzeit gerne wieder, die Rennsemmeln sind einsame Spitze, insbesondere der "Schlawiner" ist echt Weltklasse! Auch der Service ist immer freundlich und zuvorkommend!

Das Kesselhaus ist ein toller Pub im Herzen von Bad Tölz. Wir haben zu dritt einen halben Liter Apfelschorle und einen halben Liter Kirschschorle getrunken. Wir haben 27€ gezahlt was 4,50€ pro Getränk ergibt. Wir saßen im Pavillon wo man leider nicht viel von der Musik hörte. Ansonsten war alles in Ordnung. Im Kesselhaus ist der Kunde wirklich der König. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Wir hatten gestern dort ein Firmenessen. Da es viele Leute waren, wurde uns der große Wintergarten zugewiesen. Großer Raum, nette Beleuchtung. Ausser unserer Gruppe waren dort noch zwei große Tische besetzt mit anderen Firmen. Ein sehr netter Kellner nam nach ca. 15 Minuten die Getränkebestellung auf. Diese wurden auch schnell serviert. Nach weiteren 30 Minuten wurde dann an unserem Tisch die Essensbestellung notiert. Die Speisekarte ist groß, für jeden etwas dabei. Die Bestellungen waren dann auch bunt gemischt. Pasta, Burger, Rennsemmeln, Salat, Gyros, Surf and Turf. Während dessen liefen schon die ersten Essens Servierungen an anderen Tischen. Wir waren ca. 30 Leute. Nach 10 Minuten ging es auch bei uns los. Die Augen wurden groß, als die ersten Rennsemmeln und Burger aufgetischt wurden. Riesige Portionen, liebevoll angerichtet. Fast niemand an unserem Tisch schaffte seine Portion. Aber allen schmeckte es. Die Kellner und Kellnerinnen machten einen tollen Job. Immer freundlich und hatten alles unter Kontrolle. Es gab dann sogar noch Nachspeise. Das Schokoladensoufflé schmeckte ausgezeichnet. Dazu Vanilleeis und zwar nur Sprühsahne, aber darüber kann nan hinweg sehen. Es war ein rundum gelungener Abend. Herzlichen Dank an den super netten Kellner, der den ganzen Abend hin und her flitze und sich um all unsere Wünsche professionell kümmerte.

Ich wollte Essen mit Sonderwünschen bestellen, aber mir wurde gesagt, dass keine Extras möglich sind. Was soll ich denn mit meinen Allergien machen? Ich bin total enttäuscht, sie haben nicht einmal versucht, eine Lösung für mein Problem zu finden.

Alleine fürs Ambiente hätte Papas Kesselhaus 10 Sterne verdient. Dann die Rennsemmel, suuuper gut. Personal nett und freundlich.

Die Rennsemmeln sind einfach gigantisch köstlich.

Top-notch service. But the famous racing rolls have unfortunately deteriorated considerably in quality! The toppings aren't half as thick, and the bread is paper-like! A real shame!

We stopped in spontaneously last week, and we were not disappointed. Friendly service and excellent food awaited us. If we're passing through again...we'll gladly make the detour. Later, we moved outside and enjoyed the wonderful peace and quiet and the wonderful atmosphere of the evening!

Superb and attentive service. The food was really delicious and the portions were very generous. The value for money was excellent. We'd be happy to come back if we're ever passing through again.

Great restaurant, the burgers and the racemeal rolls are excellent, there's something for vegetarians too and the prices are very good for the quality, good music and good atmosphere and good service, highly recommended 5 stars.

For me the best pub in Bad Tölz

I've loved the Kesselhaus for years, but that's changed recently. My colleagues and I have been ordering lunch from the Kesselhaus almost weekly, and for a long time we were satisfied. Eventually, the portions got smaller and smaller, but the taste was able to compensate. We've been trying to order lunch from the Kesselhaus for several months now. However, sometimes there are no salads, sometimes there are no baked potatoes. So we won't be ordering anymore from now on. It's a shame.

Good food, top value for money, and the service was fantastic – nothing you can take for granted these days. So, high praise. As soon as you walk into the restaurant, you notice that this isn't a conventional place. The staff makes you feel good and is very friendly. The place itself has a very unique design, both inside and out, which invited us to linger, as you keep discovering cool objects and decorations if you look around for a while. I think the food is very good value for money. What really appealed to me was that you can see who the suppliers are on the menu and that they place a lot of emphasis on regional products. In short: please keep it up, and we'll definitely be back :)

The portions are (too) huge... And also absolutely delicious and more than reasonably priced.

Since I've known the Kesselhaus (for several years now), the food and drinks have consistently been of good quality. The service is always friendly and courteous. The price/performance ratio is always right. Highly recommended.

Looks very good and good prices, tastes excellent and the service was very quick even with over 15 people and everyone was satisfied.

We always enjoyed eating here, but since they apparently introduced some kind of cost-cutting measures in 2025 and no longer offer everything on the lunch menu, but instead only 3-4 bland pasta dishes and about 10 different race rolls, we've stopped coming here. It's a real shame—it's not what it used to be.

We were at the Kesselhaus for the first time in a long time, and I have to say I'm a little disappointed. The service was good as always. The outdoor area has been renovated, and the interior ambiance is great as always, but such a cult shop could be better maintained. I'm not picky, but unfortunately, something like that is noticeable, for example, when the rain hits the skylights. And now for the real disappointment. The prices for the racing rolls have increased massively, but they've also cut back heavily on the toppings, so I might as well buy a roll from the bakery. The bottom line for me is that it won't happen again anytime soon 😔 I'm so sorry, dear Kesselhaus team, I know you have to pay for everything, so I'd rather have the racing rolls a little smaller, but still the quality 👍 Unfortunately, an update: We were at the movies and the kids wanted fries. Since I didn't want to go to the box restaurant, I thought of the Kesselhaus. No sooner said than done, 2* fries to go. The service was unfriendly, the chef was complaining, and a handful of fries for €5 each—that's a joke, right? Unfortunately, that won't become a never-again, as you'll just feel like you've been ripped off. I definitely recommend you go somewhere else!!!! And the fact that they don't even respond to constructive criticism is a real show...

Burgers are expensive but are quite average, there is nothing special for the price. The atmosphere is nice, the place is quite old and has an interesting interior. The stuff is really nice and did nothing wrong, but we simply didn’t like our dishes: my wife even didn’t finish her pasta because it was too salty.

The food was top The homemade Natchos alone are amazing.

Everything was perfect and in any case would be happy again. Really delicious food. The goat burger 🐐 is unique and we have never eaten such awesome nachos (our own creation). Thank you very much for that 🫶

I reserved a specific table because I have a scared dog. This was guaranteed to me. When we were there, we were greeted by a very unfriendly employee. Unfortunately our table was occupied, we would have been given a small table in the middle of the room. When we asked the question afterwards, the employee didn't even look at us and simply walked away. Absolutely bad service.

The Kesselhaus has a beautiful, iconic ambience - the food is delicious and the service is extremely friendly. It's hard to beat a racing roll like that!

Wir waren mit der Familie dort. Zum ersten und zum letzten Mal! Wenn es nach mir gegangen währe, währe ich gegangen - ohne zu bezahlen. Nach der asozialen Aktion des Chefs dort, der wird sich selbst erinnern was er mit meinem Sohn gemacht hat! Mein Steak war auch nicht mal Mittelmaß, das war gar nix. Trocken, zäh, tot, aber nicht wie bestellt Englisch. Das Essen dort macht jede Pommesbude besser.

I visited Kessel Haus with my baby, and unfortunately, I felt very unwelcome. It seemed like the staff were not tolerant of normal baby behavior, such as crying. While I understand that a quiet atmosphere may be preferred, families with babies should not feel judged or uncomfortable. As a parent, this made the experience stressful and disappointing. I hope they can work on being more understanding and accommodating for parents with young children.

Sunday 7:17 p.m.: I call and want to order something to pick up. I'm immediately rejected by a gentleman on the phone with the words: I can't record anything right now, there's so much going on here, try later or not, I don't know. 10 minutes later my friend calls, a nice young lady answers the phone and takes the order. Food picked up 15 minutes later, as always delicious, fresh. The service from the gentleman on the phone was pure disgrace ;)

We wanted to spontaneously go out for dinner today and called ahead because there is often a lot going on there. We were told on the phone that things are looking good at the moment and that they are not making reservations as there is still a lot available. When we got there about 45 minutes later, we were told there was no more space and that we could have called ahead or made a reservation. When we said that we had done this and wanted to make a reservation, the only answer we got was: yes, there's nothing you can do now, that's just the way it is now... At least there could have been an offer to order the food to take away. It's a shame because we actually like going there but won't be coming anymore for now.

Absolute highlight. Food absolutely delicious. Service is always nice and quick. We've been coming back for years.

For us it was the first visit to "Papa's Kesselhaus". We didn't have a reservation. Getting a table at 5:30pm was no problem. We found the atmosphere really appealing, cozy and great. It invites you to linger and stay. The food (burgers, pasta, finger food) was very tasty. The service was also great - friendly, quick and accommodating. Highly recommended. Price-performance absolutely harmonious 👍

While looking for food we found Dad's boiler house. Even without a reservation, we were seated by a very nice waitress. We then had a delicious meal in a really cool atmosphere. The price-performance ratio is fair and okay. It should also be mentioned that payment is only possible in cash, but the internal ATM makes up for this.

Burger ok, but unreasonably expensive. (-1 star) - I can't understand how the restaurant ends up in the €10-20 category when a burger alone costs between 16.50 and 19.50. Cash only, this is not mentioned on the card. (-1 star) There is an ATM inside, but it charges a 5 euro withdrawal fee - the operator of the machine is sure to be happy about that. Not me (-1 star) With a tipple of €1.50, my Big Boy burger (2 patties, but overall more little man than big boy) and the great ATM cost me €26 for my meal without a drink.

Quaint location a little away from the hustle and bustle, but very well attended. We were completely satisfied and would be happy to come back when the opportunity arises.

Very tasty food, extremely loving and hopefully service and the restaurant definitely had character. The only small point of criticism was that it was quite dark in the corner where we sat, but that wasn't the case everywhere and it's definitely a matter of taste how bright you like something.

Was just there to watch football, have a few drinks and something to eat. Very nice service, there's nothing. In the echoing grow-to greenhouse you can grow plants, but you can't entertain yourself. Coziness = 0. Whatever, wanted to eat something. I ordered something simple and didn't want to overwhelm the kitchen: spaghetti carbonara. Actually cross rendered bacon, pasta water mixed with finely grated Parmesan and egg yolk. Basta. I got hot cream, pressed ham and Aldi parmesan shavings. Inedible. Yes, it was a lot and relatively cheap, but it still sucked.

I was there with my mom on June 15th. 5 p.m. in the Kesselhaus, super nice employees, there's nothing there. I haven't been there for a long time. The atmosphere is absolutely chic mixed salad with four unseasoned strips of meat. a few more splashes of dressing. my mom had the baked potato with tzatziki and shrimp. Mom was thrilled, that's the most important thing. My Coke was probably freshly refilled so it was room temperature, but if you come to eat at 5 p.m. that's the case.

Cool atmosphere, friendly staff, but it was a shame that I couldn't get anything to eat at 8:40 p.m. because the kitchen had already closed.

The prices have now reached the upper limit - in my opinion, but still a cool location. Unfortunately the roast pork was on the racing rolls and tasted “old”. The burger was great and the fries were super crispy and delicious as always!

Yes, it's always worth a visit and the racing rolls are just great. I like to take the “Schlawiner” there. :-)

In contrast to the price, which has almost doubled, the quality of the food has now halved. No comparison from a few years ago. Racing rolls are poorly stuffed, sloppy and the salads were sometimes fresher when they were in stock.

Ehrlicherweise muss ich sagen, dass wir sehr enttäuscht waren von unserem Besuch. Preis und Leistung stimmen hier nicht, die Qualität der Burger passt nicht zum Preis. Was soll ich anderes sagen, als dass das Personal nicht für seine Gäste interessiert hat. Statt sich um die Gäste zu kümmern, waren Sie mit Gesprächen untereinander/Bekannten beschäftigt oder waren beim Rauchen.

Das Essen war sehr Lecker. Das Preisniveau ist noch akzeptabel. Jedoch keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Dafür ein Geldautomat im Haus, wo man mit Gebühren abheben kann/muss.

Die Salate sind gut und haben eine ordentliche Größe. Die Burger sind jedoch unterdurchschnittlich. Kellner ist auch nicht vom Fach.

Nach Anruf hat es geheißen wir sollen vorbeikommen reservieren wäre nicht notwendig, nach Ankunft hat man uns in einer unhöflichen Art und Weise vermittelt jetzt sei alles reserviert. Daraufhin fragten wir ob Mann warten könne . Dies wurde verneint. Leider sehr unhöfliches Service Personal.

Das Ambiente ist super, genauso wie das Essen. Mein Favorit ist die Rennsemmel Schlawiner 🙂 kann man sehr weiterempfehlen.

Ganz schlecht !!!Heute am 20.12.2023 bin ich erschüttert... Service ,für den Müll , arrogant und unfreundlich. Das Essen war ein Witz ,die Hälfte hat gefehlt und der Preis war absolut nicht gerechtfertigt und das Schlimmste ist ,dass es schon zum 4ten mal passiert ist!Wir sind dort sozusagen Stammkunden und kennen das Essen dort sehr gut .

Top, es ist nur zum empfehlen! Gerade für die, mit dem großen Hunger! 🤤

Gleich vorweg: Fehlende Freundlichkeit beim Personal, wie hier dann und wann erwähnt wurde, konnten wir keineswegs feststellen. Ganz im Gegenteil! Der Laden ist an Wochenenden knallvoll. Reservierung wird angeraten. Das Lokal ist in seiner ganzen Konzeption auf eine bestimmte Zielgruppe ausgelegt. Sowohl Ambiente, als auch das Speisenangebot richtet sich vorwiegend an diejenige Bevölkerungsgruppe, die es leger und unkompliziert mag, die schon einmal die Gabel durch die Finger ersetzt, es mit den Tischmanieren daher nicht so ganz genau nimmt, von der klassisch althergebrachten Küche weniger wissen will und schließlich auch auf den Geldbeutel schauen muss. Burger, Bruschetten, Salate mit Knofibaguette, Pizzen sowie die weithin bekannten "Rennsemmeln" mit den unterschiedlichsten Belägen sind hier gefragt. Aber auch Steak und Schweinemedaillons sind zu haben. Wir probierten pro Person jeweils eine halbe Rennsemmel. Die Varianten "Grill", "Mafiosi", "Hawai" und "Apollo" machten zwar quantitativ restlos satt, eine kulinarische Offenbarung war dies jedoch keinesfalls. Das geschmacklich dominierende geröstete Baguette ließ die zu dünn aufgetragenen Beläge an Rind- und Putenfleisch in den nahezu bedeutungslosen Hintergrund treten. Insgesamt erscheint uns die Bepreisung der einzelnen "Schmankerl" als zu hoch. FAZIT: Ein neuerlicher Besuch gilt als unwahrscheinlich.

Wir würden dieses Gasthaus niemand weiterempfehlen ! Wenn man eine schöne Zeit und gutes Essen genießen möchte, sollte dieses Lokal vermeiden. Der Chef hat uns ohne zulässige Begründung rausgeschmisst… Es ist eine Schande für Bad Töld. Nie wieder !!!

Wir wollten eine Kleinigkeit essen und sind mehr oder weniger versehentlich hier gelandet. Wir waren begeistert von der Ofenkartoffel mit Putenstreifen sowie einem gemischten Salat mit Putenstreifen. Hervorragender Geschmack und große Portionen. Sehr nette Bedienung und prima Ambiente. Wir empfehlen euch gerne weiter. Danke!

Institution in Bad Tölz. Etwas alternativ aber hierher kann jeder kommen. Günstige Preise, gutes Essen (sehr reichlich). Es ist natürlich kein *-Restaurant aber dennoch gut. Klassiker ist die halbe Schinken- oder Salami Rennsemmel für gerade mal 6,50 EUR. D.h. halbes Baguette mit Remoulade, Krautsalat, Schinken oder Salami, Käse, Salat. Hinterher ist man satt - definitiv. Meine Kinder lieben dort die Spaghetti Carbonara. Ca. 13 EUR - aber die Portion kaum zu schaffen.

Ganz tolles, gemütliches Lokal mit den berühmten Rennsemmeln. Auch die Curry-Gerichte sind sehr zu empfehlen. Zudem fallen die Portionen üppig aus. Minimales Manko: Nur Barzahlung möglich (nehmen nicht mal EC), aber wenigstens steht ein Geldautomat mitten im Lokal.

Ich bin immer wieder gerne dort. Das Essen ist lecker und man kann sich gut unterhalten. Sehr zu empfehlen.
