Bollywood Tandoori in Bad Tölz

Sehr schön gelegen, von der Terasse direkter Blick auf die Isar. Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir konnten günstiger mit Mittagskarte essen, aber auch die normalen Preise sind völlig in Ordnung. Sehr nette,aufmerksame Bedienung.

Ich bin mit meiner Familie hingegangen um einen Geburtstag nachzufeiern. Wir hatten keine Reservierung, aber haben einen guten Zeitpunkt erwischt wo noch weniger los war. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und humorvoll, was den Abend noch zusätzlich verschönert hat. Wir haben wirklich nicht lange auf unsere Bestellung gewartet, vielleicht 15min. (Im innen Bereich gab es zu dem Zeitpunkt keine Kundschaft, der Außenbereich war jedoch gut befüllt). Das Essen war wirklich super geschmacklich, wenn ich in der Nähe nochmal Urlaub mache, würde ich auf jeden Fall nochmal hingehen.

Sehr freundliches Personal, reichhaltiges und sehr leckeres Essen. Tolle Aussicht auf die Isar und Bad Tölz. Einziges kleines Manko: Die Toiletten sahen sauber aus, könnten aber mal renoviert werden.

Wir gehen schon seit Jahren dort essen, es ist immer sehr lecker und gemütlich. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Sehr gutes Essen zu einem hervorragenden Preis- Leistungsverhältnis zum Mittagstisch.. Ich hatte Biryani Reis mit Gemüse und mein Partner einen Spezialteller mit 3 verschiedenen Tandori Hühnchen. Das Essen war geschmacklich hervorragend und die Portionen sehr üppig. Es gab eine gut gewüzte Linsensuppe oder einen kleinen. Salat zur Vorspeise. Außerdem Naanbrot zum gegrillten Hühnchen. Der Service war hervorragend. Flink und sehr freundlich. Was wir nicht essen konnten würde uns im vakuumierten Schälchen mitgegeben. Ein Schnaps und für mich ein Chai-Tee wurden uns zum Abechluß des wirklich sehr angenehmen Mittagstischs serviert.

Sehr leckere Speisen und Getränke. Auswahl ist vielfältig, Personal zuvorkommend und freundlich. Direkt am Ufer der Isar gelegen. Durch Zufall entdeckt und sehr lecker gegessen!!!

Das Essen war hervorragend. Wir bestellten Gemüse-Jalfrezi, Biryani, Roti und Dal-Suppe – alles war köstlich. Die Lage ist traumhaft, besonders an sonnigen Tagen.

Endlich etwas anderes als Schnitzel und Schweinebraten. Wer indisches Essen mag, ist hier genau richtig. Die Speisekarte ist sehr gross, so dass die Auswahl schwer ist. Es hat alles sehr gut geschmeckt, was wir gewählt haben. Für Kinder gibt es alles als kleine Portion. Die Lage ist superschön an der Isar. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ich war heute kurz mal drinnen, die Atmosphare war nicht gut. Ich hab mich gar nicht wohlgefuhlt, Der Kellner schmeisst vor mir ein Teller um. Dann hab ich mich verabschiede und hab keine Antwort bekommen... Ich hatte andere vorstellungen ich empfehle es nicht da gibt es in der nahe bessere restaurants mit einer besseren atmosphare.

Meine schlimmste Erfahrung mit indischem Essen in Deutschland. Alle Currys hatten die gleiche Basis und schmeckten deshalb alle gleich. Ich kann dieses Restaurant absolut nicht empfehlen, da der Geschmack überhaupt nicht meinen Erwartungen entsprach.

Wer authentische indische Küche sucht, sollte hier unbedingt weg. Die meisten Gerichte werden mit der gleichen Soße serviert. Selbst nach mehrmaliger Nachfrage beim Personal schien das niemanden zu stören. Überlegen Sie sich gut, ob Sie in so ein Restaurant gehen möchten.

Wir bestellten Mughlai-Hühnchen, das leider überhaupt nicht Mughlai war. Dann bestellten wir noch ein Gericht mit Fleischsoße: Hühnercurry, leuchtend orange, glänzend und völlig identisch mit der Fertigsoße. Ein Bissen bestätigte es: süß, zuckersüß und extrem cremig mit einem Hauch von Tomaten. Das Hühnchen selbst hatte die Konsistenz von aufgewärmten Resten und schmeckte wie Pappe. Das Schlimmste war, dass ich, nachdem ich ein Gericht erhalten hatte, dem Personal sagte, sie sollten nicht dieselbe Soße verwenden, und trotzdem bekam ich ein weiteres Gericht mit derselben Soße.

Insgesamt war der Besuch sehr enttäuschend. Das Essen schmeckte überhaupt nicht nach authentischer indischer Küche. Wir bestellten zunächst Mughlai-Lamm und Malai Kofta, aber beide Gerichte hatten Soßen, die exakt gleich schmeckten. In der Hoffnung auf etwas Abwechslung bestellten wir dann ein scharfes Hühnercurry mit einer anderen Basis, um einen anderen Geschmack zu erzielen. Doch auch das war enttäuschend – es schien, als hätte man einfach nur Tadka zur gleichen Soße hinzugefügt. Ich würde dieses Restaurant niemandem empfehlen, der authentische indische Küche sucht.

Dieses Restaurant hat mit indischer Küche nichts zu tun. Wir hatten Nilgiri-Hühnchen und Hammelfleischsoße bestellt, beides war alles andere als authentisch. Die meisten Gerichte schmeckten exakt gleich, als wären sie alle mit einer Fertigsoße zubereitet und nur umbenannt worden. Es fehlte an Frische, Geschmackstiefe, nichts, was an echte indische Küche erinnert. Und der Karottenhalwa – ehrlich gesagt, er war furchtbar. Trocken, fad und überhaupt nicht so, wie er schmecken sollte. Er wirkte eher wie ein nachträglicher Einfall als ein richtiges Dessert. Die Qualität des Essens ist so schlecht, dass man es schon an Teller, Löffel und Gabel erkennt. Alles wirkt billig und lieblos, was bereits einen Vorgeschmack auf das Kommende gibt. Im Restaurant stehen indische Messingfiguren, die aber schlecht gepflegt sind und eher vernachlässigt als respektvoll oder ästhetisch wirken. Es wirkt eher wie lieblose Dekoration als wie ein durchdachtes Ambiente. Die künstlichen Blumen an den Fenstern sind ein weiteres absolutes No-Go. Sie waren sichtlich verstaubt, was viel über Hygiene und Liebe zum Detail aussagt. Die Kissen sehen alt und abgenutzt aus. Schon der Eingang ist verwirrend und schlecht geplant, sodass man sich nicht sicher ist, ob man am richtigen Ort ist. Das Verhalten des Personals macht alles nur noch schlimmer. Der Kellner wirkte ständig genervt, als ob die Bedienung eine Strafe wäre. Jede Interaktion fühlte sich unangenehm an, als würden wir ihn gegen seinen Willen zwingen, etwas Scharfes zu essen. Absolut unprofessionell und unnötig. Angesichts der Preise ist das völlig inakzeptabel. Es ist eindeutig überteuert für solch minderwertiges Essen. Zusammen mit überteuertem, minderwertigem Essen und wiederverwendeten Fertigsaucen für verschiedene Gerichte versagt dieses Lokal auf ganzer Linie. Definitiv nicht empfehlenswert.

Haben ein veganes Thali bestellt. Extra auch nochmal aufgezählt bitte ohne Sahne, Milch, Käse etc. Zuhause dann festgestellt, dass alles vegetarisch ist - es nervt. Wieso bekommt das eigentlich kein Inder in der Gegend anständig hin. Was ist daran so schwer? Und wenn es das doch ist, warum kann man dann nicht einfach sagen: nein das machen wir nicht. So simple! Wir bestellen daher nicht mehr. Schade, dass man nicht mit der Zeit geht.

Wir waren schon zweimal hier. Eines der besten indischen Restaurants, die wir bisher besucht haben. Man hat außerdem einen schönen Blick auf den Fluss. Sehr empfehlenswert! 👍

Wenn man regelmäßig am Bollywood vorbeiläuft, sieht man bald, dass dieses Restaurant - aufgrund der Lage an der Isarbrücke - viele Touristen anzieht. Man sieht dort - im Gegensatz zu ähnlichen Restaurants – praktisch nie Inder. Vor Jahren einmal sehr von der Fleischqualität enttäuscht (das Hühnerfleisch hatte den typischen Geschmack, den billiges Hühnerfleisch hat, was von Fischmehl-Futter herrührt), hatte ich diesen Ort seither immer gemieden. Letzte Woche suchten wir spontan nach einem Restaurant, jedoch waren unsere beiden Optionen aufgrund krankheitsbedingter Schließung ausgefallen. Da es leicht regnete, gingen wir fröstelnd-entnervt ins Bollywood – hmmm. Mein Essen - Beef Curry - ging gerade noch so, hatte jedoch überhaupt keine typische indische Note. Das Gericht meines Freundes war wirklich schlecht (Bollywood Briyani). Shrimnps hatte er in dem kleinen Töpfchen gar keine entdeckt, der Reis schmeckte wie bosnischer Tomatenreis, völlig reizlos und un-indisch. Er musste aufgrund der Winzigkeit des Gerichts extra langsam essen, um nicht so schnell fertig zu werden. Der Preis von € 16,90 war dem nicht angemessen. Der Kellner zeigt keinerlei menschliche Herzlichkeit, wirkte genervt von seiner Arbeit und reagierte kontrollliert-gereizt, als wir getrennt bezahlen wollten. Die Nachspeise, zwei kleinen Bällchen aus Milch und Quark, waren recht gut, aber für € 6,90 viel zu winzig. Das Ambiente war irgendwie zu grell erleuchtet, die Innentemperatur an diesem regnerischen Tag auch nicht gerade zum Wohlfühlen. Der Blick auf Spinnweben unter einer Beleuchtung am Tresen rundete den Eindruck ab. Was mich etwas erstaunt, sind die vielen guten Bewertungen, die Kunden abgeben. Ich vermute, dass sie von Kunden stammen, die im Besuch indischer Restaurants nicht so erfahren sind.

We wanted a coffee to go, and the unfriendly guy wanted to charge me €5. Not with me, sir. Afterwards, my wife wanted to go to the bathroom, and he wanted to charge me another €1. All in all, this fits with my usual experience. 🤣👎

Highly recommended. The nan with fresh garlic is particularly delicious. A fantastic view of the Isar River. We had two dishes with chicken, rice, and sauces, both of which were excellent and affordable, even in the evening. The server could have been a bit friendlier. Otherwise, it was really good!

Great restaurant. Very tasty food. The ambiance could use a bit more decor, otherwise it's a great location next to the Isar River. What I would have missed is perhaps a dish with soy chaap, which would have been great! All in all, though, a great restaurant.

Unfortunately, we couldn't understand the many positive reviews. Overall, our visit was rather disappointing – especially in direct comparison to another Indian restaurant we had visited just a few days earlier. Food: The food was okay, but nothing more. Solid in taste, but lacking the particular refinement or variety of flavors one would expect from Indian cuisine. The portions were rather small and, in my opinion, not commensurate with the price. Cleanliness: An important point for me is cleanliness – especially of the restrooms, which are often a good indicator of general hygiene standards. Unfortunately, this area didn't convince me. And that's even though I wouldn't describe myself as particularly picky. Ambience: The restaurant's location is actually very nice. Those sitting outside have a pleasant view of the Isar River. The noise level was also pleasantly low, which created a relaxed atmosphere. Service: The service was good. Friendly and attentive – nothing to complain about here. Conclusion: Can I recommend the restaurant? No. My review is based on a single visit, so it's entirely possible that other guests might have different experiences. However, for us, it wasn't a place we would visit again.

Very tasty, super nice and beautifully located

This is unique! I am severely disabled and stood in front of the non-accessible entrance in my wheelchair. Without being asked, one of the waiters immediately rushed over and carried me, along with a friend and his wheelchair, out onto the terrace. At this point, a necessary comment on the "unfriendliness" of the staff, which is often criticized here. I know India quite well and know that Indians are not effusive Italians. So bear with me. The food, as always, is excellent; naan and lassi are divine.

Indian cuisine thrives on spices, flavors, and, ideally, some element of the dish. I know you can't have everything, and of course, Indian dishes are often 'Bavarianized,' but the result here wasn't so impressive. On the other hand, everything was on the table within three minutes of ordering. While that fills us up faster, it doesn't necessarily make it better... In any case, a bit more boldness with the ingredients and enthusiasm in the preparation would have been good, because the location on the Isar River is actually top-notch.

The Bollywood Restaurant in Bad Tölz has been a constant address for my family and me for years when we want to eat really well and simply have a nice evening. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted so warmly that you immediately feel at home - as if you were visiting good friends. The food? Simply unbeatable! You can taste every dish that is cooked here with love and skill. Whether it's the creamy butter chicken, the spicy biryani or the freshly baked naan bread - everything is perfectly seasoned and incredibly delicious. I've tried many Indian restaurants, but none come close to this one. It's these evenings here that stay in your memory: great atmosphere, incredibly good food and service that genuinely tries to make you feel comfortable. If we want to do something special or just fancy really good food, we always come here. If you've never been here before, you should definitely try it out!

This food has nothing to do with authentic Indian food at all. Anyone who says otherwise has never really eaten Indian food. The restaurant manages to prepare palak paneer (spinach dish) and a completely different dish (eggplant in light sauce) with the same sauce. How can that be? The sauces were completely over salted, no trace of the typical Indian spices such as cardamom, turmeric etc. The three sauces for the papadum bread are on the table the whole time before anyone is even there, very unhygienic. In addition, the staff is more than unfriendly. Never again.

Very tasty Indian food. The portions are generous and are appetizingly prepared. The staff are friendly but not intrusive. The lunch menu is highly recommended; the price-performance ratio is really unbeatable.

My girlfriend and I have been coming here to eat here irregularly for years. We are always greeted warmly and served quickly and friendly. Food has been at the same standard for years, very tasty, authentic and good selection for everyone. In terms of taste, one of the best Indians in the area. I eat a vegetarian diet and here I can choose a lot of dishes (which is not the case everywhere). Of course, there is also plenty of choice for those who eat meat. The ambience is simple but still authentic, with typical decorations from Indian culture. And it's always clean, cozy and the smell of scented sticks brings a special experience for the senses.

I don't understand the bad reviews for this restaurant. We went there on a saturday evening, and we got a table even without reservation(the place was getting full). The staff was very accommodating. I ordered a chicken dish, and to my surprise, it tasted better than the same dish you would get in Munich. My friends ordered vegetarian dishes and they were also very impressed with the taste. If you are in that area of Bad tölz and are craving for indian food, this is the place to be not that there are a plethora of options 😋

Discovered by chance right on the Isar. The service was very quick but wasn't the friendliest. We also had our food very quickly, which was also very tasty. We just had the feeling that it was like an assembly line, everything was done quickly and then gone so that new guests could come.

An experience from the starter to the dessert. For me one of the best Indians I've ever been to! Authentic Indian cuisine, also with many vegan and vegetarian dishes.

Really one of the boring Indians!! Service very wordy!! Ambience not really there. Benefit from a beautiful location. The food was absolutely unspectacular! Mango chicken with cashews...nothing to be seen of seeds or mango. Supposedly in the sauce...a shame...

War ok, finde aber fast 14Euro für 3 GemüseBällchen mit Soße und Reis, zu teuer. Im Lokal war es ziemlich kalt, saßen an den Tischen am Eingang.. Service sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Extrem unfreundliches desinteressiertes Personal und schlechtes Essen. Naan waren alle verbrannt. Chili Chicken war ungenießbar, das Huhn seifig, die Sauce pappsüß und voll mit Unmengen an ranzigem Knoblauch. Das vegetarische Tali war lieblos angerichtet, das eine Gericht komplett versalzen, das andere völlig geschmacklos und wässrig und das dritte extrem süß, pampig und fettig. Noch dazu waren die Toiletten verschmutzt und rochen übel. Insgesamt ein sehr unerfreuliches Erlebnis.
