A wonderful place for an idyllic meal. The dishes are a taste experience. A true miracle in the mouth. The shrimp, cooked in Pernod at the table, served translucent. A delight. The pasta is freshly made, ingeniously filled with an excellent sauce. The pork belly, served this way, is a wonderful addition. The tiramisu, different but excellent. When was the last time I ate such a good zabaione? Served at the table. Perfect. The wine was well recommended, and the service was friendly and attentive. A successful Sunday. I hope this restaurant stays in Bad Tölz for a long time. Such a beautiful place and such good food.

We were here for our wedding anniversary, and the table was beautifully decorated. We were able to sit outside, right by the Isar River, and chose our starter, main course, and dessert from the menu, including wines by the glass. Everything was delicious, and the price was reasonable. Friendly, professional, and fast service. We highly recommend the restaurant and would gladly return, perhaps next time to the gourmet restaurant in the same location.

Star cuisine. Excellent food and great wines!

My husband and I reserved a place outside for a Friday evening when the weather was beautiful. We didn't decide To eat "a la carte" but for a set menu. Sitting directly on the Isar under a large tree was wonderful. The menu with 5 courses was on the table (with no alternative suggestions?) We also chose the wine to accompany each course. We were served bread with fine olive oil and a greeting from the kitchen, an asparagus soup. After about 15 minutes the first course arrived: a turkey breast in sauce, delicate, but more like a greeting from the kitchen, without any side dish, our bread was eaten. 0.1 white wine was served with this. After another 20 minutes there was Tagliolini with truffle, very fine, but "small", with 0.1 new white wine, then nothing actually happened for 1.5 hours!! No food and therefore no wine accompaniment. The girls ran past us and no one asked if we had a wish. We didn't have the slightest desire to take any initiative on our own; we're not used to something like that in a star restaurant. Then a spoonful of sorbet actually came, I hadn't actually eaten much yet and then a sorbet? Another half hour and the main course was served. Ochsenbackerl with a piece of beef fillet, the side dish was explained to us in detail, the finest vegetables from the region: 2 asparagus tips and 2 pieces of carrots, that was all, the meat was delicate, and finally a new drink, 0.1 red wine. Finally, mini cheese bites with dessert wine. The fun lasted 4 hours and cost us €320. Maybe you can only eat al la carte, but they'll never see us again.

Das Hotel und Restaurant "Altes Fährhaus" ist Heimat von zwei von Michelin ausgezeichneten Restaurants, dem Sterne-Restaurant "esskultur" und der mit einem BiB Gourmand ausgezeichneten "Heimatküche". Wir waren in der Heimatküche, nur diese wird hier bewertet. Das Alte Fährhaus liegt etwas außerhalb von Bad Tölz direkt an der Isar. Bei schönem Wetter kann man direkt an der Isar auf der Terrasse sitzen und speisen. Bei unserem Besuch war das Wetter eher durchwachsen, darum saßen wir im gemütlich aber modern eingerichteten Innenbereich. In der Heimatküche gibt es klassische gehobene Küche mit Südtiroler Einschlag (die Besitzer des Hotels sind Südtiroler), es muss also nicht immer das Sterne-Restaurant sein. Die Karte ist relativ klein, aber dennoch sollte jeder etwas für sich finden. Wir hatten uns für die Suppen (Rinderconsomme & Karotten-Ingwer Süppchen) als Vorspeise entschieden, diese waren genau richtig gewürzt und daher beide empfehlenswert. Als Hauptgang folgte das Wiener Schnitzel und der Saibling. Beides schmeckte ebenfalls hervorragend. Der Erdbeertraum als Abschluss war dann ein echtes Dessert-Highlight, absolut zu empfehlen. Preis/Leistung sind stimmig und absolut passend (Wiener Schnitzel 22,50 €, Saibling 21 €, Vorsuppen 6,50-8,90 €, Dessert 6,90 €). Das Servicepersonal war sehr nett, zuvorkommend und hat sich um den Gast gekümmert. Wir können die Heimatküche guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen. Kostenlose Parkplätze gibt es direkt am Hotel (limitiert) oder falls besetzt in der unmittelbaren Umgebung. Reservierung wird empfohlen, Kreditkartenzahlung ist möglich.
